Then she proceeded to give a foot rub which consisted of running her thumbs and forefingers along my lower leg bones for 30 minutes. She also gave me a run down on her family and asked multiple questions about how long I was staying and where and what I did for a living. My entire mission while in that chair was to not cry or flinch. When she was done, I felt comfortable concluding she had not one single day of training in massage therapy. My bill was $60. On November 1st, 2023, I scheduled a full set & pedi at Serene Nails. The pedi process was normal until the nail tech applied the gel nail polish and placed the uv light above my feet without cleaning under my toenails, removing an ingrown or cleaning my cuticles. I softly asked the tech and the woman next to her, "isn't nail cleaning included with the pedi?" At that time, another nail tech named Ann (who is assisting a customer at another table), rushes towards me, leans over me with an aggressive tone asking, "what's the problem?" I calmly and softly ask Ann if the cleaning is included with the pedi because the tech applied the gel without cleaning my toenails. Ann then says that my feet looks clean and that the nail techs tools are beside her so she knows it was cleaned. I let her know that my feet is clean from the foot bath and that she did not clean under my toenails. I made an effort to show and display the problem. Ann asked if I would like the tech to start over. I informed her that I don't want to go backwards or start over. Ann says ok but you still have to pay for the service. Ann also says that they have cameras and she can show me the recording of my nails being cleaned even though I presented physical evidence. When the pedi was done, I requested for the video footage from Ann so I could show her and prove that my toenails weren't cleaned. Ann then proceeded to show me the camera footage from across the room. I requested for the camera that was right above me and she said I'm showing it to you. I repeatedly requested for the camera above me and she asks why. I decided to get my partner on the phone to record the conversation. The conversation intensifies to the point that I was berated and embarrassed in front of all of the employees and customers. Then a woman named Hong, (the manager) comes out of a room, rushes towards me and yells at me saying "what's wrong, your feet looks pretty?!?!". I told Hong that she has no right to aggressively rush towards me without knowing the situation, I did not have any interaction with her the whole time I was being assisted. I stood my ground and did not get into no one's face while multiple employees invaded my space and I had to ask them to step back. I'm continuing the conversation with Ann who is still refusing to show me the correct camera video. I have her recorded saying "ok ma'am sorry we did not clean your nail for you." She asks what do you want me to do. I said just do the right thing. I will not pay full price for a half job. She says that they'll give me a discount because I still have to pay for the service. I told her that I will pay for the gel but will not pay for the service. Regardless, I paid for what they charged me. After receiving my change and receipt, I told them that they have no right to aggressively push their body on me and that it's not right that she threatening to pull up cameras but did not want to open the camera with the correct view. I also want to note that Ann repeatedly said that they work hard and that the nail tech worked on my pedi for 2 hours, that statement caused a whole new argument. I did not confirm at the time because the heat of the moment but after I left, I checked my records and I was seated at 3:52pm. The pedi was done at 5:10pm. Ann's actions made me feel like shes above me and that my concerns weren't valid. read more

I thought she did an ok job, but a couple days after getting dip powder done my pink nails started fading into clear and white ish almost tie dye colors. The salon didn't feel clean or comfortable either. Parking was really hard to find too. It was my first time here and as I paid they said I had to leave a tip in cash. I told them I didn't have any cash and that I didn't know they only took cash. It was awkward and a bit stressful since of the language barrier my nail tech didn't fully understand. I asked if she could do Zelle or Apple Pay. They said no. And I said I'm sorry. But it felt like they wouldn't let me leave until I left a tip. So another nail tech got involved and it was like a 3 way award tension or none of us knowing what to do. Eventually I felt like I had to find a way to tip so another nail tech eventually had me Apple Pay her. Both the nail tech were not thankful for my cooperation and just visually looked annoyed and frustrated at me. But I truly felt very pressured and uncomfortable by this. If they require a tip and require a cash tip they should have explicitly put that in the booking instructions and notified me before confirming the appointment. I really didn't like this experience overall and especially didn't like feeling like I was corned and couldn't leave until a tip. It was a really disappointing first experience of getting my nails done here.

The owner and the lady my friend got were professional and nice, but the girl I got didn't even ask for my name nor introduce herself, while my friend's lady did all those things and was very caring. It started with this girl suddenly spraying my foot with HOT water without even checking the temperature. I said "Ow!" because it literally burned me. Instead of apologizing, she first checked the temperature herself, gasped, and then said "Sorry." Like, did you not believe me when I said ow? That it was too hot? Usually you check the temperature yourself first before spraying your client with it! She barely had me soak my feet before she started aggressively jabbing my big toes. The first time she jabbed really hard on one side of my big toe, I told her it hurt. She said "sorry," and then proceeded to do the exact same hard jab 3 more times on the other side of my toe and on my other foot! She seemed in a big rush and didn't care that it hurt. It was a miracle I didn't bleed, but I was super on edge watching her carefully so she wouldn't cut too close. She was absolutely not gentle. Since I got a deluxe pedicure, it came with 15 minutes of massage (5 min sugar scrub and 10 min lotion). They have a timer, but what was so annoying is that she kept stopping the massage to either fix her gloves or walk away to do some random thing elsewhere WHILE the timer was running. Meanwhile the massage was more of a very light rub, definitely not a massage at all. What a scam. After the lotion portion of the legs, she grabbed a hot towel and threw it over my legs without even testing the heat, and AGAIN I got burned. Meanwhile, I looked over at my friend whose lady warned her it was hot, tested the towel on her leg, and asked if it was okay before carefully wrapping it. WTF. My friend's lady should train this other one because the lack of customer service and etiquette was insane. Then another worker had to come over and remind her that she forgot the last product to apply to my legs and feet (some sort of green product). She literally swore underneath her breath and then quickly slapped it on me! I looked over at my friend whose lady applied it to her legs BEFORE she was wrapped in a towel. There goes money down the drain. Moving on to the actual nail painting part. She rushed through and would haphazardly put the UV light onto my feet without warning me, so the tip of my toes hit the roof of the UV and left little dents in my polish. But I was so tired and upset I just wanted to leave. I attached photo closeups of the horrendous, uneven paint job and the skin she chopped off and left hanging. I even had to clean it up a little while waiting for my friend, so the photo looks a lot better than what I ended with! This one worker completely ruined the experience. She seemed young, maybe related to the owner, untrained, and completely unprofessional. She never introduced herself so I never got her name, but she was wearing a gray T-shirt, blue jean-like pants, and light tan crocs. I didn't even want to tip, but I did anyway because she did work on my toes, but I was way too bitter to tip my normal 20%. That said, I will NEVER go back to Moonlight Nails and Spa. I hope this review acts as a sign that this girl gets the training she needs so the next person doesn't get this type of treatment.
