Another employee also helped me to save $1 (haha) by leading me to a pack of 4 Biodance Korean face masks instead of buying 4 individually. Don't patronize this store. I bought an item online picked it up but changed my mind. An older filipino lady gave me a hard time to return it. Once she gave me the item she told me to stand in the long line for the refund even though I just picked it up. Horrible service. I usually love Sephora but in a recent visit , the Ala Moana store became my least favorite and will place Nordstrom or Ulta as the first places I will look for products. I was with my sister and we were looking for make-up without a certain ingredient. It involves looking at the back of the product casing. The blond salesperson kept asking if I needed help - I said I was just looking because I needed to just look at the ingredients of the make-up first before I bought it. She was watching me alot. I told her that you asked me that already many times. Then she left and another heavily made-up salesperson started bothering me I know there are probably alot of shoplifting. I knew what I wanted - only products with a certain ingredient. Can't I just look at the various products. I did buy an item but it's because I needed sunscreen immediately Next time I'll get beauty products from Nordstrom, Ulta, or just walk into Chanel or Dior for there own skincare items. read more

Your one stop self care place!! Sephora I admit I haven't gone near at first because I don't use makeup if any at all. Working in a restaurant kitchen environment makes it more of a challenge but because of that I've been more into cleansing and self care with some home spa treatments and what girl doesn't enjoy some pampering. The staff here is just incredible with suggestions and tips on products during the pandemic we weren't allowed to touch any samples without the staff assistance, but now it's just about back to what we can do to browse at our leisure. Now that I know what are my favorite products you're also able to order online and pickup at the store which is super duper convenient. There is a point base membership "Beauty Insider" program which is free and fun as you can get a birthday gift and promotional specials with additional discounts depending on your tier. I decided to come to this location since Pearlridge told me they were out of the birthday gifts. The dude standing at the entrance of the line was blocking and had asked me if I was looking for anything, just shopping or picking up. I said just picking up my birthday gift and they had associates right at the door to assist me. I spotted a boba mug inside the glass case and decided to redeem my points! When it came to paying and leaving, a girl wearing so much blush came up to me to "bag check" me because she apparently saw me throw something in my bag. I always liked going to cosmetic stores such as Sephora. The sales ladies (and guys) dress up in black and red. These colors stand out so customers can approach them with questions or comments about the products. Sephora looks almost like a fantasy world where anyone can enter. Anyone who knows me knows I love to try on quality products. I love the skin care line such as Clinique, Khiel's, or Kat Von D. Even though they fall into the expensive category, they are well worth the investment. I noticed after using the Khiel's ultra facial creme, my skin looks smoother and feels softer. While walking around Sephora, customers can try the cosmetics. Near the products, the staff places makeup remover, alcohol, and cotton pads. This makes for a great perk while shopping at Sephora. You can always ask for a free sample. Whether it be perfume, cologne, lipstick, foundation or blush. Just ask and the staff will cater. Sometimes I see the Sephora staff give a customer a makeover. I never did it myself only because I never have the time to do one. Count this as another perk: When your birthday rolls around you get a lipstick or a skin care sample. Hi there just wanted to come on here and talk about a bad experience my friends and I had in Sephora Ala Moana yesterday evening 07/09/25 around 6:25-7PM. My friends and I were just browsing around after we finished work and we actually had a good talk with some workers who were very nice, but once we got around to the fragrance section there was a worker that was literally breathing down our neck the entire time. We told her multiple times that we were okay and did not need any help. Despite our efforts of getting her off our backs that did not work. It got to a point where she was so close behind us that if we were to turn around we would have bumped into her. Now we were in that section for a good minute and the entire time she was just STARING at us!! It made us incredibly uncomfortable and quite irritated as well. Whenever we would let her know that we were okay and did not need help, she would just smile and say "okay" and continue to stay close by and stare, it was kind of creepy. I did want to mention that there were other people in that area and she did not give them the same treatment. She was an older woman with short white hair, wearing a a mask and i believe her name tag said "Angela" on it. Because of her we decided to just leave and not purchase anything as we planned to. Mind you, I understand customer service and that did not feel as if she was friendly and wanted to help us out! It felt like we were being targeted and felt very unwelcoming! read more

I normally go to the Waikele location because it's closer, but since we were in the area we decided to stop by. One of the more busy stores on the entire island, the store was surprisingly handling their customers pretty quickly. I was not able to find the brand I was looking for, but thankful Miyuki was there to assist me, very friendly and informative, she helped me find what I was looking for and went above and beyond with her customer service. She even convinced to get something I did not think about and I want looking for but I'm always open to great skincare. She was energetic and so excited and supportive to me and my friend. Just a warning to perhaps call ahead for product availability because they may be out of certain things. I must say that the cashier just threw out customer service because she was not very friendly, made us feel like pay and leave, no smile, she seemed just over it, I didn't bother to get her name. I know you're asking why is a straight male reviewing SEPHORA? It's because I feel like I lived here pre COVID-19. I even know what VIB is. SMH. Do you know how to torture a guy in this modern age? Take him shopping and stop by SEPHORA. Women say 5 minutes and it ends up to be 5 HOURS!! When testers were available, women lived here. Even when they know exactly what they are getting, they find random stuff to test or play with for hours. I recall customer service being mediocre and it was hard to get help from staff because they were always busy but yet women kept returning. It's mind boggling! Due to COVID-19, there is no testers and many women have told me it's no fun to go anymore. They also don't use much makeup working at home and always wearing a face mask. So a trip to SEPHORA nowadays is quick!! Finally something good coming from COVID-19. The staff now is so friendly and helpful. Maybe because there aren't many people inside? The girl who greets you before you enter is full of positive energy and really friendly too. I came here to pick up a few more things. I was excited to see Patrick Ta makeup items. I was so excited to get the blush duo. Not into cream blush because I have oily skin. Maybe I will use the cream blush for the winter time. I also got another perfume of the Jadore because I ran out. I also picked up on some cream lipsticks. This location has so much more to choose from. Seems bigger than any other location I have been to. I like the set up of this store. Everything is so easy to find. Thanks so much to the helpful staff at Sephora today! The staff enforcing social distancing, masks, and 50% store capacity are amazing during this pandemic and I felt totally safe while shopping. Hand sanitizer (skin friendly of course!) and sanitizing between products, especially samplers, are all noted. Even plexiglass at check out! Makeup products to the left of the store and skincare to the right! Saw demonstrations going on as well as the staff educating customers. Staff here are literally so knowledgable that it made my shopping experience better! I was able to find Ordinary products in-stock as well as some other great finds under 15.00 dollars. I almost bought everything in the store haha. So many cool products to try! Quinn checked me out and didnt push me to sign up for Sephora's rewards system, which was great, but she did tell me about the benefits: (1) birthday rewards & (2) 10% off for frontline / essential workers with a VALID ID, ongoing indefinitely I was told. Quinn also said that discounts cant be stacked but you can use discounts and gift cards together, AWESOME! Used my holiday gift card today and went home with some new skincare goodies. 10/10 would recommend and just based off of staff - I'll be back. It's amazing to see how many products they stock in addition to maintaining online orders. Their prices are competitive with brand name boutiques and department stores. Because I don't wear or use cosmetics on a daily basis, I've been a bit nervous about going into this store. However, their friendly and helpful customer service has often put me at ease whenever I've gone into this site. Sephora carries two specific brands of body or skin care (La Vanila and Korres) that I use. The items that I use are always in stock so I've not needed to look for them at any other store. I've joined their Beauty Insider Program which often offers free beauty product samples from different brands and a birthday gift. The Beauty Insider member gets to choose which product that is appealing to her likes. Each purchase is assigned reward points which is automatically tracked so the member can be upgraded to a higher level of bonuses. Some of the perks include free beauty classes, free custom make-overs, handpicked gifts and many more fun benefits. The rewards program helps to make my visits a lot less nerve-wracking. read more

I was looking to buy the new line of Channel perfume but i wanted to try it out first. I asked the sales staff that appeared to be Korean if could have a sample of the new perfumes to try out. She gave me a sample of one of the new ones. While she was filling the sample i asked her about the other new perfume. Literally she just ignored my inquiry. She checked the sales level you was on through their records and the gift was sorted out accordingly. The promotion was also based on your sales level and get a bigger percentage discount for next weekend sale. The sales person on the sales floor were very helpful and informative. They made sure the wifey had the best deal, so we held off tonight's sale till next week. We also asked to sample some other products which they gladly packed for us with printed item descriptions.
