I like it here. It kind of scared me at first because the store is very bright and my clothes are very black - like my soul so I look like a robber ready to rob the store with my black mask on. I highly recommend the Dr. Belmeur line that they carry as well as the acne patches from the Belmeur line. It always pisses me off when it is sold out but I guess everybody knows what's good I GueSs - but save some of those patches for me ugh. The Dr. Belmeur serine also works wonders for shrinking your pores to give your face a smoother complexion. When I go in there I just say where is the orange thingy? The orange bottle thingy? Small store near bus stop and parking lot in Ala Moana. Most popular items are available. Currently there is a few combination reduced price items near the front, but nothing crazy. The staff is friendly. You cannot touch any of the products at this point due to covid. They'll give you samples for things you want to try however they're pretty stingy with it. I asked to try this shampoo and was given a sample in a tiny eye cream jar with barely anything in it. She can see that my hair is thick and long, my mask ain't hiding that... How am I suppose to wash my hair with so little sample? I recommend developing standard sized sample packets to give to customers since it's covid and you won't allow anyone to try anything on. I went shopping at this location and the entire time I was in the store the associate working was watching me as I was shopping and stood close to me. As a retail worker I understand if this was happening bc she thought I was stealing but as I was in the store I kept my hands held together above my chest because I could see that's what she was getting at. Yet to make a judgement of stealing as soon as I got in was ridiculous. Then the one time I touch an item, I grabbed then put right back. I was with friends and felt uncomfortable. Yet as my friends shopped I told them I was going to go to another store in the area. Yet as soon as I left she tried stopping me but I was a little to far out the door and then tried asking if I stole the items to my friends , because the item I grabbed she didn't see me put back. As a side note, I was the only Hispanic person with my three Asian friends. Yet she didn't give my friends a hard time. I came here pre-covid in search of a good under eye cream. Oddly enough, the sales lady gave me a sample of the Dr. Belmeur Cica Hydro Cream. It's odd because she gave me the face cream instead of the under eye cream. Anyway, it came in a tiny container. Luckily a little goes a long way and that tiny sample lasted several months because Oahu went into lock-down due to Covid. I came back as soon as restrictions lifted, but before the second lock-down went into effect. It was during that visit when I found out that my sample was for the all-over face cream and not the under eye cream. However, since I was already using the Cica cream for my under eyes and it worked really well for me, I continued to buy the same cream even though the sales lady kept trying to convince me to buy the eye cream in conjunction with the face cream. A year later and I'm almost done with my first Cica Hydro Cream container. So, it was serendipitous when I received an email right before Memorial Day weekend advertising 20% off on their Dr. Belmeur line as well as other brands that they carry. I hightailed it to Ala Moana on Friday morning to avoid the Memorial Day crowd. They were out of the Cica Hydro Cream, but the sales lady took my information down and promised to call me once the cream is in stock again. Sadly the 20% off was only good for that weekend and will not be applied when said cream is back in stock. The reason for the 4 stars as opposed to 5 is due to the fact that I wish she would have mentioned they have other locations. Had I known there was a Face Shop closer to my house, I would have stopped by that location as well. Or, she could have offered to call the other locations to see if they had the cream in stock. I didn't realize they had multiple locations until 1 week later when I was telling my friend about my wasted trip to the Face Shop. She asked me what I was looking for and I explained to her that I wanted a moisturizer but my face tends to be sensitive. She pointed me to the Gentle emulsion, which was geared towards people with sensitivity. She let me try the product and it felt nice and had a very light scent. I explained to her that I bought a skincare line from the Face Shop, a few years ago, which gave me a bad reaction. She was kind enough to make me a sample of the Gentle emulsion, that I purchased, to try at home to see if I have any reaction to it. It took about 45 minutes to traverse from the front door to the cash register, standing in a snaking line that took me through every aisle so I could see every product -- facials cleansers, moisturizers, masks, facial mists, foundations, powders, BB creams, nail polish, body cleansers, hand lotions, hair care products, colognes, men's products and beauty tools. Picked up some Christmas stocking stuffers: cherry blossom hair mist, perfumed hand creams (in cute kitty cat containers), rice bran foaming cleanser, Neo Aqua Toner (man gift), and for moi, the moisture pore balm. If I had room in the tiny shopping basket, I would have also picked up my favorite brightening cleansing oil and a bottle of the Arsante Eco-therapy moisture tonic. Happily, this location also shells out a nice selection of samples. This time, powder perfect BB cream, magic cover, waterproof BB cream, aloe gel cleanser and even a pomegranate face mask. Score! Even without the discount, Face Shop products run the gamut of price ranges so you can find something to suit both your beauty needs and budget. When I started getting pimples at age 13 is about when I began to worry about my skin. I used to have those really deep ones that required shots to get rid of them and also took erythromycin (penicillin) to attack them internally! :/ Back then, my forward-thinking bff Cherilyn L. had a very serious talk with me. I don't buy makeup or skincare products often, but I'd like to give a product shout out to the Clean Face Spot Clear Intensive Patch that beats the pus out of my whiteheads. The Clean Face Spot Clear Intensive Patch comes in a pack of 12 clear, circular stickers. It's transparent enough to wear during the day, but I'd recommend using it before you sleep. Basically, you stick one on your pesky pimple & after 8-10 hours, the patch literally sucks the pus out of your pimple. I'm always amazed by its effectiveness. I don't get whiteheads often, so one sheet for me can last well over a year, especially if you cut the circles in half if your pimple isn't that big. The first thing that came to mind when i stood outside the store was damn this store looks really clean and damn if heaven had a store it would looks like this. Bright, lots of white and scattered with beautiful colors. Like thee perfect coloring book. I'd say 90% of the store is for the ladies and from what I understand the ladies all love their products so if you're looking for Xmas gifts or birthday gifts, fella's take note. The remaining 10% is either for the men or unisex. If you care about your skin or the anti-aging factor, you're going to want to pick up some of their stuff. We're talking face creams, moisturizers, toners the works. Laugh all you want, but when we're fifty and I still look like the thirty-year old... who's laughing now sucka? The best part about the things i got was the price. The store is reasonably priced for all of their products. I mean I've seen other stores with comparable items for twice as much, esp. for those "name brand" items. You're better off coming here and spending half the cost with the same quality. They have something for everyone for sure. It's hard not to walk out with something in your hand. The one thing that I'm surprised that they don't carry is a facial moisturizer with sunscreen. Love Love Love! I'm so happy that they brought The Face Shop to Hawaii! I remember going to this place in Korea and fell in LOVE! Specially because nowhere in Hawaii sold BB cream, well until recently that is. Now all kinds of American companies are carrying BB cream products. Before the only places I could get it was when I went to Japan or Korea! When I first went to the McCully location I thought it would be expensive compared to when I bought some of the products in Asia. To my surprise, everything was very decently priced! MORE LOVE LOVE LOVE! Lol. The employees here are great too! They are all very knowledgeable about the product they carry, which is important for any cosmetics company! When you walk up to the store front you are immediately drawn to it. It's bright white lighting and sterile look mixed with the bright colors of the products acts as a force pulling you in..."come in, try me, BUY me!" I thoroughly love the products, albeit the instructions and descriptions are in Japanese the staff are more than willing to help. My go to products are the face balm, rice water eye makeup remover, hair spritz (refreshener) and I can't remember the name of the night cream, but omg, heaven! I used MAC's primer before finding the face balm and let me tell you $16 compare to $50 with the same results, you bet your bottom dollar I bought two face balms! Just a note, with the holiday season approaching the line gets CRAZY! Stock up on your necessities before then, I learned the hard way last year. So far this place is always a hit when it comes to quality products. The staff have been consistently friendly and helpful and the shelves are well stocked. The last couple of times I've been in I've seen new products that are visually appealing (I'm a sucker for packaging!) Boyfriend has recently gone with me and has tried the "Herb & Relief Homme Herb Cleanser" as well as the "Herb & Relief Homme Sebum Control Fluid" says he likes it. He also bought "Stylist Hairgel" for $5. I've tried the pomegranate paper mask (sample) left my skin smooth and soft. Oil blotting papers, mango & orange hand lotion, and the charcoal face wash (love it). The BB cream samples they gave me were really good, the natural beige actually blended in with my skin color (sorry for the initial assumption that they don't carry things for a nice espresso color). I really want the hand cream in the novelty packaging, blueberry, lemon, and apple containers. They also have hand cream in animal pots! Will be back. read more

I've heard about their McCully location, but never made an effort to head down there because of the traffic. I was surprised to see the Face Shop in Ward and I had to check it out. It really is a beautiful store with a simple layout. Nail polishes, eye make up, blushes, and beauty tools are on the left and BB creams, foundations, lip sticks, and skincare is on the right. It's a little store with everything you need. I do feel a bit overwhelmed by the skincare section because there are so many options to choose from! My shopping experience was pleasant. I'm a Korean junkie! I love Korean food, Korean dramas and even attractive Korean actors including Kim Hyun Joong! And he's also the domestic and international model for The Face Shop. I just visited the Face Shop for the first time today, had a very positive experience and I have to say is - I WILL BE BACK! I went in expecting to not buy anything but I bought a moisturizer, a cleanser, BB cream and face masks. Hopefully the products will be worth my while. Ohhh, don't forget to open a membership card because you get points for all the money you spend. This location at Ward Warehouse is the second shop in Hawaii. Overall the store is decent! It's bright, modern, stylish and nicely set up with a good selection of Korean skincare and cosmetic products. This is why Korean girls have great skin! I love The Face Shop! Tried more of their products and so far nothing has disappointed me. I just tried the foot mask which made my feet smoother in 20-30 minutes. My bestie, Marjorie C., got me the olive face wash and a mini pet hand lotion for my birthday. The olive face felt gentle on my skin. The mini pet hand lotion is moisturizing but not oily at all, and is so cute! On my most recent trip, I bought some face masks for my mom for Mother's Day. The store had a special where if you buy 10 face masks you get 10% off. I was excited for her to try it so I gave my mom her present early. She seemed happy and eager to try them soon. The customer service was stellar. The sales person was sweet and answered all my questions about the masks so I knew which ones would be best for my mom. I also forgot my Face Shop rewards card, but the cashier was able to ring up my information. To sum up, I love The Face Shop. Came back today with my cousin. She gave me a bb cream sample she got from Nature Republic. I don't like to venture to Ala Moana too much, because it's difficult to find parking.... so taaaa-daaah! I came here. Parking was a cinch. I was welcome as I entered the store. The girl working was very helpful and insightful on which products to use/buy. Upon check out I was fiddling with the products at the counter and she was like "oh here have a free sample" it was one of the hair sprays that deodorize and makes your hair less oily & also handed me samples for facial products that went with the essence I purchased (to tackle acne) to test out the toner. How nice! I wanted to buy some face masks but I don't use those too often. My cousin said she wanted to go to Nature Republic so I held off on buying them -- she told me they were cheaper at N.R. I mean, let's face it. Ward Warehouse needed a dose of "hip and cool" desperately! And what better way to do that than with skin care, make up & K-pop?!?!?! What can i say? This second location of The Face Shop is just as AH-MAY-JING as the first one. Great knowledgeable, friendly staff! Clean, organized space! Easy parking! Reasonable prices! Same great products as their McCully location. BB creams, masks, lotions, nail polish, hair products, beauty supplies and lots lots more!! And can't forget the "ear candy"! Always the newest and coolest K-pop is being played for your listening pleasure while you shop! My Testament: Since the opening of their first store about a year ago I've used a number of different products! Everything from face masks to nail polish to shampoo/conditioner. My FAVE product(s) would have to be their skin care items. I've been using the FLEBOTE V-lifting cream for about 8 months now and it is AH-MAY-JING!!! Firstly, let me just say that I am completely addicted to buying things from this place. The location is very convenient for me since I enjoy watching movies quite often and I can usually spare about 10 min to take a quick look at their products. The store is very neat and bright and has rows of products carefully lined up against the walls. The ladies their are extremely welcoming and always help me find the best products for my skin. And the best part is that you get free samples with every purchase! I like to try them to see if they actually work before buying the actually product. I have very sensitive skin and get pimples and rashes quite often. However, after using their blemish zero products for acne, their acne face wash, and their pore cleansing oil, my skin had become very soft with only a few pimples left on my forehead. I wasn't feeling most of the colors but bought a few anyways. I also ended up buying a few face masks and other items. The prices are very reasonable. The sales lady was very friendly and even hooked me up with a few samples to try. She even offered to give me a frequent buyer card but I told her to give it to my sister since she lives nearby.
