I love Sephora. You can pretty much find anything and everything you'll need from make up to fragrances to lotions... for girls and guys.

I have a love hate relationship with this location. The big blonde haired 80's looking woman (i think her name is susan) is a freaking nightmare. She is the most condescending, rude, generally gruesome person I've encountered anywhere.I think she gives the store a really bad vibe and everyone who works there is affected by it. I was deeply saddened to see she moved her way up to management. I've been going to this location for almost ten years and over the years i have watched her get louder, more aggressive and her makeup has stayed the same, in the 80's. Some of the girls and guys who work here are so nice it makes my heart melt. They don't upsell you, they are nice to kids, understanding of bored husbands who begrudgingly get dragged along, and personable. I have even connected with a few of them on social media we vibe so much. Some of them are so downright awful they wont even look at you. If you ask them a question they will ignore you or walk away. If i bring my kids (Im a young mom) I am followed relentlessly to no end. My kids are generally well behaved, quiet and actually enjoy occasionally swatching a highlight or a shadow on themselves. But the notion that because I'm young with children means : will steal, is disheartening. I reach rouge status well before I need to, every year without fail. For the past 10 years. A lot of the girls get annoyed when you ask for help. I cant tell if they are just stressed from life, the job itself, or sales requirements but it makes for a stressful experience. I don't want to be rushed when I'm in the disneyworld for 20 somethings. I want to enjoy my sweet precious generally child free time trying out stuff and making sure I'm investing in the right products. On the plus side, you can bring your dog. Yes its in the mall, but its a company policy world wide. If you make connections you can get good samples. Don't ask for them at the desk ask for them on the floor. And really do take advantage of the samples because if more people ask they might actually start holding some at the desk like they are supposed to (take the hint sephora) The lighting is generally awful so make sure you really reallllllyyyyyy look when you get color matched. Try to find someone who has a similar skin tone as you they tend to be better at finding the right stuff. read more

I went to Sephora with my friend tonight to sample the self tan which is why there is a bottle that says TESTER. We were greeted and asked if we needed any help and replied no but then kept being asked by employees what we were looking for. Not to mention we were wearing our sweats and a bun after studying for our midterms but I'm not straightening my hair putting on jeans and mascara at 9 PM on a Tuesday night to browse Sephora at the Burlington mall for 5 minutes. We were followed by the same employee and at some point she stood right next to us watching us after we said multiple times we didn't need help finding anything. That was my breaking point so we left then called and complained. They said they had no idea what we were talking about but just because I'm not wearing a face full of makeup a lululemon Jacket adidas cloud foams and wearing a kate spade cross body does not mean I'm stealing. The moral of the story is Sephora is by far one of the most boredest places I know but I'm still going to shop there because they have good products lol read more

I shop at Sephora in Burlington mall atleast twice a month. I really like the store for the variety of products they have. I can spend hours at this store trying on different products and feel comfortable shopping there cos the staff are friendly, helpful and not pushy at all. . Plus with the rewards card they give some products away in exchange for points. If you are a makeup addict, I would highly recommend this store. read more

Went in looking for help with dark circles. Jaclyn asked me all the right questions about my skin and went through a bunch of options and explained the pros and cons of each product. She gave me samples of 2 products to try, and put one on each eye so I could compare them. I went back later to purchase one because it really worked. She really listened to what I wanted and helped me out. Not only was she super helpful and thorough, but she was also very sweet and personable! My one complaint is when I was waiting in line to be rung up, the cashier (different person whose name I didn't get) let some frazzled lady cut in front of me. I had to wait forever, and when I was finally rung up, the cashier was super snobby and cold. I guess every Sephora has its snobby and rude employees, but most of the people at this location are super helpful and nice. Much better than other locations I've been to! read more

after reading other reviews about sephora, i guess im not alone. First- i have been to a good handful of sephora stores, most of the time there is at least one person who is nice to you.Im sorry that should be all employees all the time Second-i understand you have to be a security person while working there so that there is no thefts in the store.i understand, but please, please please let me look, i will ask you if i need you Third- and if i do ask you, do not act like you make a million bucks here you do not, your just the same as everyone else. Fourth-when i ask for advice and something I want, not what YOU want, i expect you to indulge me as a customer.period.its what I want!! example, when i tell you i want a makeup that gives coverage, but is a shade darker, indulge me? understand? its not very hard, when a customer says jump you say how high? its something that i have been taught for many years. Fifth-do not walk away when i ask you a question, if you dont get my response when you ask if i need help, all you need to do is tell me i will be over here , etc sorry i have to buy expensive makeup, simply because i cannot take the cheap drugstore stuff, and yes i have given these a chance, but cant use it. i think the company needs to start teaching young people how to act and how to treat people.i had a horrible experience and have informed the company of what happened, i frequent another sephora store, but i wanted to patron this one, because the other one did not sell what i wanted, but found out they all discontinued the product.and to the girl who did not "listen" while i talked to her and totally did not understand me , i think you need to stop fooling around and talking to your friends and pay attention to the customer and focus on your job.fortunately, there is a small rainbow here, i wanted to make known to the company who was good and who was bad. and to the salesperson who did give me what i wanted, i say " thank you" im so glad i was brought up with a good work ethic and good customer service skills, young people today seem have not been taught that. read more

First, I have to say I love the online version of the store. I purchase my makeup exclusively from Sephora, but rarely venture beyond the virtual isles. I recently visited Burlington store, as I needed to replace an item fast. The experience was rather stressful, and this is not something I expect from a store that sells all those wonderful goodies. I am a type of customer that abhors constant attention of the staff. Once I thank the shop assistant for offering help and explain that I know what I need and how to find it, I expect to be left alone. Instead, I was greeted by at least 4 assistants, fake smiles and all (they all seemed kind of nervous too, as if being reviewed, which may have been happening since one of the people commented on a girl's performance). One assistant greeted me 3 times, as if seeing me for the first time. Instead of browsing around in peace, and choosing some stuff I didn't need, but would have bought anyway, I gave up, and left store as soon as I got what I came for in the first place. read more

If you seek a good customer experience, avoid this location. Several of the employees here are rude, discourteous, sarcastic and the last thing they seem to want to do is help you. I have had better experiences with the kind staff at the Northshore Mall, which is an unfortunatley smaller store. If you need a product that you can only buy at this location, I have found that the men who work at this location are professional and kind. Good luck! read more

I love makeup stores and can browse around sephora for hours. Whenever I'm in need of new makeup, sephora is my first stop because they carry almost every important brand except Mac. As I first entered the store I was asked by several employees if I need help. I like to look on my own so I was happy they didn't try to push anything at me. I picked up two items I wanted and one bottle of Lancôme concealer to ask for a sample of. The product is super pricey and I can't invest in it before knowing how it works. So I asked one of the ladies who works there for a sample and she honestly gave me the stingiest sample I've ever seen. I'm not even sure if it's enough to cover one side. For this reason I deduct one star. I had a very old groupon I used on my purchase and there were no issues. Lastly, let me warn you that the store smells badly of perfume. If you're sensitive like me be prepared for your eyes to burn by the time you leave. read more

I had an appointment for a complete makeover. When I arrived, I needed to use the ladies room and was told they didn't have one to go to Lord & Taylor and use theirs. I protested that I didn't just come in off the street. That I had an appt for a 45 minute service. Furthermore, what did they do about people who needed to use a bathroom in the middle of the makeover. In addition. They had to at least have one for employees. I had an obvious mobility handicap and couldn't go wandering around the mall. Even talking to the manager didn't help, so I cancelled my appt and left. I then emailed Customer service, which ptoved to be a misnomer. They sent me a barrage of emails requesting information I had included in my original email. They even asked for my email address, which they had used to send me their questions. T hey said my email and phone number didnt correspond to an account, so I fowarded them my appt confirmation and said I had made an appt not opened an account, and they probably deleted it when I cancelled the appt and left.Their treatment was outrageous and ignores the Americans with Disabilities act, not to mention common decency. read more

I had an amazing experience at Sephora in the Burlington Mall.On Thursday i dropped by just to get some new mascara and lipstick. And yes it's very difficult to make up your mind in this range of selections. But I see it as a huge plus.This is why I appreciate the help of the sales accociates. KerriAnn was very helpful, she took all the time with me to find what i needed and suggested great items which i wouldn't have got ten without her assistance.She also told me to come back on Saturday and am I glad I did!!!!!!!!!!! I was introduced to a new line(at least for me)of products by Korres (Chanel quality without the Chanel price)by their Market Sales and Education Coordinator Jonida Duni!!!!!!!! She made me feel absolutely special!!!!!!!!! After a session of skin care demonstration (which were so good that i purchased them) she did an amazing makeup application!!! Taking in account my skin tone, hair and eye color. I looked 10 years younger when I left!!!!!!!!! And still do, because she not only demonstrated but she actually taught me how do apply it (for the day and more dramatic for the evening if I were to go out).2 of my closest friends joined me later and though they didn't have an appointmet she demonstrated her magic for them too.What a day !!!!!!!!!! I really like this Sephora because the few times I've been in there I've always received excellent help from one particular employee, Rachel. She is honest, caring, gives amazing customer service. I 've been very happy with every product she has recommended to me. And they weren't the most expensive either. She's interested in value and effectiveness, not gouging or her own commission.That's why, if you need best customer service, go get Rachel :) You won't be disappointed ! read more

I enjoy shopping at this location because most of the staff are very helpful. I know that sometimes I get approached by more then one employees but thats great customer service so I don't have a problem with that. I'd rather get great service then no service at all. Another great thing I learned is they are NOT on commission so they don't need to push a sale at me to get money. I love that I get a great selection of cosmetics and honest opinion on product performance. Another pro is at times their prices are cheaper then department stores! read more

This location is OK, but not great. The staff is alright but obviously commissioned sales. How come I can never find anyone when I need them but when I don't need help they're on my back a million times? I usually order online or go to Ulta but when you get a gift card and want some instant gratification.... hopefully I'll have better luck next time! read more
