This is a very good Nordstrom location. I went in looking to look around at the women's clothing and also to give the beauty and fragrance counters a spin. The beauty counters were attractively set up and there was plenty of help on the sales floor. I went over to the Lancome counter since I was getting low on some of the products that I usually buy from that company. The saleslady was very helpful and got me the cleanser and eye cream that I was looking to buy. I am happy with the service that I received and look forward to frequenting this Nordstrom store again. read more

Thursday we received a text regarding car trouble, suggesting we reschedule for the following week. As the adage goes: Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. I had a disappointing--and frankly astonishing--experience at Nordstrom Burlington. The good part: a saleswoman named Eva K helped me put together a perfect outfit for my son's wedding--a beautiful silk and linen sports jacket (over $1300, but half-off); slacks, also on sale, requiring to be hemmed; a fine shirt; and even socks. The bad part: The sports jacket had to be ordered in my size. It arrived yesterday, not in a box, but stuffed directly into a small plastic envelope.a I took everything back to the store and opened the package there. The jacket was not my size, although a paper tag had been attached to the sleeve contradicting the interior label. It also looked like someone had stepped on it. I learned that the jacket is not (or no longer) in stock in my size. I returned everything, down to the socks. Good part: The return was handled graciously, down to the alterations fee. Bad part: I've wasted almost four hours (I live half-an-hour from the store); I have to start over again; and who knows if I can find anything as nice again? I frankly can't get over order fulfillment deliberately mislabeling clothing that they knew wouldn't fit, and abusing a beautiful garment to save perhaps two dollars on shipping and packaging. I don't know who the girls at the cosmetic counter think they are, but they need a lot more training on how to deal with customers. I needed to purchase some makeup but neither of the two I spoke with cared enough to want to help me. Arrogant and judgmental I would say. I guess the fact I was wearing sneakers and a T-shirt made them think I didn't deserve or could afford to be there. BIG mistake... My family and I shop very frequently with Nordstrom and I'm very disappointed with the way the staff at this location handle situations. I came across a tiktok where a black woman had police called on her at this location for looking like someone they claim stole items at other stores (despite never having been in this store prior to the incident). Do you not realize how dangerous it is for you to put these women in this position, without ever confirming if you were even right? The tiktok was the icing on the cake; I had always felt the animosity at this location vs the Nordstrom fam at the Peabody MA location. You people need to stop assuming POC don't have money/come in to steal before we gladly take our business and our money elsewhere. Maybe loss prevention should pay more attention to the "affluent" white teens that frequent the mall and get away with stealing all the time. To speak more on my own experiences at this location: shoe department takes abnormally long. People are always standing around talking. Getting help for purses(longchamp/MCM/Burberry area)/sunglasses also takes forever bc associates don't pay attention to that area. Purchasing perfumes here feels rushed; not really a personalized experience and recommendations just sound like whatever seems to be selling at that point. Generally speaking I have always gotten good service from Nordstrom. Usually I shop at the one in Natick. Today I was in Burlington, and I made the mistake of attempting to try on a pair of shoes there. Stood there for well over 10 minutes with the shoe in my hand, and I could not even get someone in the shoe area to make eye contact with me, never mind ask if I needed any help. It really was not that busy other than a few other customers at the register trying to pay for shoes. Finally went to an area next to there where 4 employees were just standing together doing nothing. I asked how I could get someone to help me and one of the guys steps forward to tell me that they are "customer service", but someone in the shoe dept. can help me as he points over there. [This review is specific to A Perfumes Department Manager at Nordstrom Burlington] We stopped by Nordstrom at Burlington this evening in search of a perfume. We were attended by Apryle, Perfumes Department Manager. She was sooo sweet to help us try as many perfumes as we would like and also displayed us very patiently the new products and what are their fragrances like. When we asked for Replica Sailing Bay, it wasn't available on floor to test the fragrance but Apryle went an extra mile in making us try know/try perfumes that are similar to Sailboat's fragrance. She walked us through the floor and explained the layout of how Nordstrom places fragrance products so they are easily accessible to shoppers. Apryle definitely went above and beyond, even at that closing hours, in helping us find just that right perfume I was looking for - Hermès Twilly. She's also very sweet and passionate of what she does! I was in the neighborhood so I stopped by the Nordstrom at BurlingtonMall. I asked a employee from the kids shoes department that I need it to return an item and she just was bothered and not happy to do it. Move on to the shoe department and was looking for a particular shoe and came across an Asian gentleman standing there, and I asked him about the brand and looked at me like I was crazy. And the whole time I was in the shoe department he was looking at me like if I was trying to steal. The particular brand I was looking for is sold at Nordstrom yes online but I was not sure if they had it at these particular location. The store was very nice, but the Customer Service at this particular location was horrible. I felt completely uncomfortable. Bought something online for same day pickup but apparently it took 4 days to ship to the store.. and just went to pick up curbside and customer service didn't even take the earrings out of the box they handed it to me in the lasership box! This is a review of Michelle Benoit the stylist. She is amazing! Very in-the-know and has a great eye for fashion. She had a lot of of interesting tidbits about the background of various designers/trends, you can tell she's experienced and passionate about fashion. I also asked her to be cognizant of the care labels on the pieces she was picking out for me, which many stylists disregard as it's a lot more work for them to not only pick out the right style/color/fit but also specific materials, but she made sure to follow my requests to a T and I really appreciated that. She worked straight through lunch with me for almost 4.5 hours to make sure I enjoyed the whole day and ended up with pieces that I will love and treasure. She has exquisite taste beyond just clothes; her accessory piece recommendations and choice of fragrance samples were 100% on brand for me, even though this was her first time meeting me and her only background to go on was a brief survey she sent to me. It was a truly elevated experience all around! read more

It seems there is a pattern here of if you dont look or speak a certain way you will be treated like you are up to no good simply for daring to walk into this department store for casual shopping. I would expect nothing less than 5-star customer service from any Nordstrom. So the bottom line is whether or not you like the deals you get on the merchandise you purchase here. There's a lot of stuff here I will not buy, because it's either more than I really want to spend, or it's targeted for guys half my age. But I've gotten some pretty good deals on sale items here. So for that, I'm willing to spend some time looking around, and typically, when I've found something I've liked, it has been worth it. But quite frankly, I'm just as likely - maybe more likely - to deal with the traffic and drive the half-mile or so down Middlesex Turnpike to the Nordstrom Rack. You do sacrifice a little bit of customer service, and a lot of sanity, looking around here. But when you take both of these into account, it's not bad. read more

This review is in regards to the men's department. I had an old Zegna suit that needed to be tailored. I was immediately given the stink eye from the employee as it was not brought from this store. I was given no attention from this employee and basically worked with the tailor by myself. As I went to check out with another employee the original employee rushes over to take over the sale saying that she helped me the entire time even though she did not. The department just has a lack of respect towards customers. It makes me laugh as the employees who work here can't afford anything they actually sell without eating their entire paycheck. read more

I have never written a review for a department store but I'm hoping Allison's manager sees this. For medical reasons I've gone through some significant weight fluctuations and nothing about me feels right. I was to the point I had no idea what bra size I was and was down to one threadbare one that was definitely not right. My stylist from Trunk Club recommended I go get fitted and I was SO nervous. Baring my bod in front of a stranger and hearing what size I really am? Enter Allison. She said she is a new hire, but oh my goodness, you'd think she'd been doing this for decades. She was so kind, understanding, professional, and open. She made what could be an extremely uncomfortable situation into a safe, educational, and body-positive experience. I actually cried the next day when I put on one of my new purchases and it fit just as perfectly as it did in the store. I would highly recommend visiting Allison in the lingerie department even if you think you're wearing the right size (you're probably not!). Thank you, Allison, for making this such a good experience. I will happily empty my wallet for comfortable, properly-fitting undergarments. As an aside for Nordstrom as a whole--thank you for being quite size-inclusive. There were multiple options in my size from which to choose and that's rarely the case in-store with my small band size and large cup size. read more

I've been a Nordstrom card holder for 19 years. This past Saturday I was a victim of fraud. I live in Massachusetts and I was alerted with email receipts that someone had made a large purchase ($850) in shoes at a mall in Indianapolis. After being on the phone with Nordstroms credit dept. they said they would remove the charges and send me a new card with a special PIN that only I would know. This past Thursday more fraudulent charge appeared from someone using my new card (which by the way I have not even received). This time the charges were $2500 in shoes. I was told an investigator would call me... still waiting. It is so easy for someone to use your card in Nordstrom. I won't go into detail here because scammers are everywhere but Nordstroms has a huge problem. This affects my credit and again, still waiting for a call from Nordstroms and still waiting for the charges to be removed. Very disappointed in Nordstroms security. read more

I want to start off by saying that I'm very sad and disappointed that I have to give this location a 1 Star. My husband and I have been in retail for a long time. We are the type to give anyone the benefit of the doubt because we know what it's like to be on the sales floor. We first came to this location mid September to purchase shoes in the women's shoes department. I walked around slowly, picked up several shoes, even stood there to see if I would get greeted. Didn't happen. I really wanted to buy a few pairs. We walked out. The second time we came in, the same thing happened. This also happened in cosmetics. I thought, "Wow, is it me? Is it the way I look?" I'd rather be over greeted than not at all. The third time we came in (a couple of months later) we needed to get stuff tailored. My husband got his stuff pinned. I got my pants marked up. We got our merch back, one leg was an inch longer than the other, and his shirt wasn't taken in. We went back and got everything pinned and marked up, again. After everything was done we picked everything up thinking we didn't need to try it on. You know, benefit of the doubt. We go home, try everything on and my pants are still half an inch longer than the other and his shirt still wasn't right. Burlington DO BETTER! Any store can turn it around. In the mean time, we won't be returning back to this location. read more

This review is for the "Alteration Service" that this location offers only. Last night I went in with a bridesmaids dress I have, hoping the seamstresses would be able to alter it for me. This trip was after I had called specifically to ensure that they do alter bridesmaids dresses (and was told that they do). The woman in the Womens department was super helpful in getting me into a fitting room and calling the seamstress for me (unfortunately I did not get her name). When the seamstress arrived she took one look at me and said "we don't do bridesmaids dresses". She also told me that the store I bought my dress from was clearly horrible at measuring and that I would need a new dress entirely. As a loyal Nordstrom customer who is accustomed to the high level of customer service that they offer, I was baffled by this whole experience and will never be returning for alteration work again. read more

By far the worst customer service in the shoe department. I tried on shoes that I knew I wanted and didn't buy them because I was so pissed off. The shoe employees stand around talking like it's social hour and they aren't getting paid commission to sell shoes. I walked in after having selected items on line first and checking so I could get in and out quickly I went to try on. There were two sets of two standing around chatting. Not one of them even looked in my direction or said hello to me. I saw one of the shoes I wanted to try and had to interrupt two of the men standing around talking. The guy who went to get the shoes didn't even make eye contact or address me. Just took the shoe and went to the back. I tried them on and wanted to buy them, but I didn't. Start a conversation with the person you're assisting. Ask them what they're looking for. Ask if they need or would like other options. And if you can't do that, just be pleasant and smile. I refuse to spend money in a place that treats their clients like garbage. I've been a long time card holder with Nordstrom, but their client service has seriously declined. read more

Brought in two wedding guest dresses for just simple hems, went through the whole process of trying them on and having the lady (Elena) mark for hemming. I have had wedding guest dresses hemmed at the Nordstrom Northshore Mall and it was very reasonably priced so I assumed the Burlington Mall alterations department prices would be on par. I saw the chart on the wall in the dressing room said for non-nordstrom items it was $40 for a dress hem so this is what I was expecting and was in line with what I had previously paid. When I went to check out the lady charged me over $100 for each dress to get hemmed and she said it was due to the type of dresses. The dresses didn't even cost this much to purchase and to get the dresses hemmed would be more than the they cost in the first place?! Ridiculous.... save your time and money and don't come here for alterations, even something as basic as a hem they completely blow out the price for. the worst part is this price was charged at the ladys discretion and not in line with what Nordstrom says they charge, but she told me it "wasn't her price just what Nordstrom charges" complete BS. read more

OHHH...The fragrance department. Like vultures! I went in last week and started working with a salesperson, Lisa. Very cool and funny. She gave me a few suggestions and then left me to explore. SO COOL, right?? I don't need to be hovered over. She leaves me alone and BAM...this Elvira-ish chick from makeup is on my like a greenhead! My salesperson is finishing a sale. Comes back to check on me and greenie doesn't even look at her co-worker. Super rude. I had to SAY "I was working with Lisa" before she sulked off. Pros: Lisa rocks. Very funny, lets you shop at your pace and doesn't force some gross popular fragrance on you. She really listens. Cons: The swarming sales flies. It seemed inappropriate not to ask "are you being helped?" and left a bad taste about department respect. read more

This review is about bras and nothing but! Ladies, do you despair when you walk into Victoria's Secret? Let me tell you, I do. Their sizes are large in the bust and small in the cup, and I haven't been in that size range since middle school. They don't have anything near my size in that store. Look, I'm no freak (I swear!), but there is a wider world of bra sizes. You've heard of Intimacy in Copley? Well, I think Nordstrom is actually better. They have the bra fitters (in fact, I'm looking at the business card of the woman who helped me and it says fit and prosthesis certified, whoa), and the price ranges are lower, from my experience. When I go in I walk right past those adorable little lacey things that I'll never wear. Don't even look. Yesterday Patricia Vann was my fitter, and I just told her my size and she set me up with a dressing room and brought all the bras in. No hassle, no drama, minimal disapointment. And, unlike Victoria's Secret, where I get raised eyebrows when I'll tell them my size, Patricia was very understanding. We had a dialogue, and she found me just what I needed. Overall, a great experience. I came away with two bras for $50, which ain't so bad when you're not a conventional size and there are only two stores in the greater Boston area that carry that size. read more

As far as the store and the products, I would have to say that this department store is one of the best. I have to discuss my experiences at this store. The sales people are aggressive and borderline rude!! I have spent thousands of dollars in this store over the years! The last time I went in to buy a gift for a friend and a shirt for myself and the saleswoman in the men's department asked me three times if I needed help. I replied politely that I did not need any help but I would definitely ask if I did. She literally followed me around to the point I looked over my shoulder and she had snuck up right behind me!!! Nordstrom Management: This behavior is unprofessional and also just creepy. It is OK for salespeople to be aggressive but let's not cross the line and make client's uncomfortable to make purchases. Jessica P. waited on me, measured me, listened to my likes and dislikes and kept me trying bras on until I'd found three that fit perfectly. This Nordstrom saved my husband's butt. My husband goes to Waltham frequently for business. This particular time not only was he going to be in the office for a week, he was making a presentation to the CEO and other senior executives who were flying in from Europe for the presentation early the next morning. The stupid airline lost his luggage and all of his business attire for 48 hours! By the time my husband arrived at this Nordstrom It was 8:45pm. The store closes at 9:30pm. Since my husband is rather fashion impaired, using the website and my husband's cell phone I was able to talk to the salesman and tell him what trousers, dress shirts and ties would probably work the best. The salesman was able to gather everything, call the tailor in for immediate alterations and have everything neatly pressed and hanging in a garment bag before the store closed 45 minutes later! Not too many stores would provide that kind of service. I have always loved Nordstrom and this experience only made me love them more. read more

I may be venturing into TMI territory here, but you know whatever... The intimates department at Nordstrom's is one of the only places that I can shop for bras without ending up in tears. The department staff here are helpful, knowledgeable and patient without putting on the high sales pressure while they work with you in their own fitting room separate from the rest of the women's departments. I thank the goddesses for this place every time my top drawer needs a little attention. I do wish they were a little bigger, and had more of a selection. read more

Went looking for a dress for a very formal wedding and it was the saddest dress "department" I've ever seen. There were about 20 dresses in the entire place. Don't bother especially if you're plus size there was one sad half filled rack of suck and honestly the employees were too busy gossiping to even offer assistance. Went to Macy's instead and they had an enormous selection. I'm more of an online shopper usually anyway but will steer clear of Nordstrom's online especially if I can't go into a store and browse even a 10th of the selection. Macy's, lord & Taylor and Neiman's from now on for dresses. Sad because I've gotten my last 5 event dresses from nordstom but this experience totally soured me. Five stars just for the service. I didn't think that service like I received at Nordstrom was possible in the 617, 781 and 978 area codes. I went to get a pair of sandals for the summer and while I was looking I was asked if I needed any help. I told the salesman the size and the models I wanted. He asked me my name, gave me his and shook my hand. He first measured my feet - I can't remember the last time a salesman did that. He got me the ones I requested and some others I may like. Even though I was trying on sandals, he still used that slip-in-shoe tool. While trying on the sandals he made small talk and ran off to get another size when he saw it was needed. I didn't realize the ones I wanted were $270! So I declined to buy them but he was so cool about it. I asked him for his card in case I decided to buy them. I am still shocked at the service I received. Nordstrom must have some sort of a Reeducation Center, microchip implant for their employees to be this good. I am going to go there to hit on the employees. I am sure there is a policy that they must date and sleep with any customer that requests it. Gigity! read more
