I was invited to a wedding out in California and all the women I know who live out in CA and would be at this wedding have lash extensions. I had been wanting to try them and this wedding seemed like the perfect time. I checked online reviews and asked around and it quickly became obvious that Pallavi at Hidden Gem was the best around. I called weeks in advance to make my appointment and got the exact time I hoped to get so that my lashes would be at their best when I went out west. When I got there for my appointment I met Pallavi and kind of told her what I was looking for. (Being a first timer I honestly had no idea what questions she was going to ask.) I told her that I wanted to have fuller longer lashes but not too long - a natural length, and not so full that it looked like a caterpillar sitting on my eyelids. Hidden Gem is very inviting and relaxing - I have no doubt that many people fall asleep while having their lashes done. It only took her about an hour to do them and there is a mirror right there in the room so you can immediately get up and see your lashes/make sure you're happy with them. I loved mine from the moment I saw them but I'm sure if there had been anything I didn't like she would have fixed it right away - Pallavi wants everyone to be totally satisfied when they leave and I'll bet everyone is. I've had them for over a month now and still love them as much as I did that first day. I have gone in for a fill as they will naturally fall off with your real eyelashes. I had the BEST advanced facial at Hidden Gem Spa from Carmen. As soon as I walked in the room I felt so relaxed and at ease. She set up a warming blanket for me on the table and the room smelled so delicious from the lavender and essential oil sprays. She used extremely high quality products on my face and I could tell she is an expert when it comes to facial care and taking care of her clients skin. It was a blessing because I discovered my wedding-day make-up artist after experiencing my first-ever facial. I did a makeup trial before booking and since I do not wear a lot of makeup myself, I appreciated that Pallavi was great at listening to my concerns whilst showing my own natural style. Awesome experience! An incredible combination of skill, effort, and reasonable prices make this the absolutely best facial ever! Pallavi is a real doll and clearly enjoys her work. She very smartly chose a location for its cost-effectiveness that allows her to charge very reasonable rates. This is no fancy spa but rather a simple and practical office space. I mention this since some may want a fancy spa environment, and this is not that. Instead, the facial itself is the stellar experience. Personally, I prefer the lower cost and pragmatic location. This makes it more likely I'll be going back more frequently. She massages and never stops the entire visit. Some facialists apply a mask and come back in 10 minutes. Not Pallavi. She is always adding value, whether it is massaging your face, feet, or hands etc. she will do additional add-ons as needed for my skin at reasonable prices. I booked thenstraight one-hour facial knowing she would add or change as needed based on my skin, which she did. She explains everything. She has excellent online booking--including same day booking via the online tool. Also simple payment options with a swipe including the contactless payment option. All around a great experience, from booking, to experiencing the facial, to paying. I scheduled monthly visits right after that facial! Can't wait to go back next week. Plus--I already referred two friends and of course they agreed--best facial ever! ALSO: I discussed lash lift vs extensions with Pallavi and we agreed I would try the lash lift+ tint and I went back the next day. It was a simple painless procedure (google it to learn more). Pallavi handed me a mirror when I was done and I literally SQUEALED WITH GLEE. My lashes looked AMAZING. today is 3 weeks and they still are amazing. The only thing I regrew is not taking a "before" pic. I have normally very straight lashes that are relatively long from using Latisse. The lash lift not only makes the lashes awesome it actually opens the eyes. People at work thought I had an eye procedure! The most important thing here is the skill. Not all lash lifts look amazing since it takes skill but, no surprise, Pallavi is skilled at this and did an outstanding job. I was visiting from out of town, was short of time and developed a big pimple. I called in the evening and was able to get a 30-minute appointment at 10 am the following morning which was perfect. Lana has great hands and even within the condensed time period provided a good massage -- and extraction skills. The products were nice and smelled heavenly. I had a glow for several days and the pimple healed more quickly than if I had attempted to treat it myself. When I am back visiting again. Love this place! I've had lash extensions and waxing done here. It's very safe during COVID because it's one on one with the esthetician, so no crowds of clients or employees. My esthetician wore a mask the whole time and sanitized everything. Yes i get facials, after struggling with teen and adult acne for years I have a system down where i have been getting facials every 8 weeks for the past 10 years and for the past two hey they have been at Hidden Gem. Primary comment is the spa is very clean i feel completely comfortable getting invasive facial treatments that all the tools are appropriately disinfected and stored. I really enjoyed my facial here. I did get a bit lost entering and leaving the building but I am also directionally challenged some may say. But the woman who was my esthetician (forget her name) waited for me at the entrance which I thought was very nice. I got the deep pore facial and really loved every second of it. The massage to start really made me relaxed. I was looking forward to getting extractions done since I struggle with acne and my skin gets rough from clogged pores and small blemishes I can't remove myself. She really took her time which I appreciated! Only 4/5 stars for me just because there was some milia that was left behind but I am assuming she may have missed it only because it's hard to notice without the skin being pulled tight. Facials for me are a once in awhile splurge and treat so I'm not sure when I will be back but when the time comes I will definitely keep this place in consideration because she was so friendly and my skin does feel 100x better. read more

This place is truly a hidden gem, and I'm so glad I found it! I've had waxing by Pallavi. It's comfortable and professional, in a a true spa-like environment: a heated table, with gentle wax and a gentle procedure. I also just had my hair cut by Carmen, and she did a great job. I'd previously been with the same hair stylist for 10 years and was really nervous about going to someone new (I moved), but Carmen did a consult with me first, reviewed photos from my previous hair stylist, and really listened to what I wanted. She did a great job with the cut, and the head massage with essential oils was luxurious! I am immuno-compromised but feel very safe at Hidden Gem during COVID-19.
