I ordered their Bulgogi Rice Bowl, which came with a delicious Bulgogi Beef, Picked Ginger, Edamame, Kale, Corn, and topped with green onions. With rice. Comes with a side of creamy sauce. It was a delicious meal. Only thing I wish though, was more sauce. I would've been okay if they pre-dressed the meal with the sauce also. Or, give us two sauces instead. Staff is friendly here. I only interacted with the lady at the counter. When my order wasn't up after awhile, I did ask her if there was an update with my order. She kindly just apologized for the delay and made my order. It looks like they recently changed their menu concept--they no longer offer a "build your own bowl" option and now have a more pre-fixed menu instead. We ordered the Bibi Bowl with Bulgogi Drip, and it was delicious. Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and satisfying, with great textures and balance in the bowl. Surprisingly delicious! Was watching a movie at AMC and decided to give this spot a try.. and we were so glad we did! My husband and I wanted to split a Spicy Pork bowl and Bulgogi fries. The worker let us know that there was a cheaper combo with an upgrade that included a drink which ended up saving us money. We love that kind of service!!! And the prices were pretty reasonable too! The food ended up being so good! The meat was the star of the show! Soo flavorful and cooked to perfection. We truly enjoyed both the spicy pork and bulgogi in the fries. My main gripe was that I wish there was more meat. The bulgogi fries were so much better than I expected. It's odd, I couldn't really figure out the identity of this restaurant. Poke, Korean fusion, lemonades & refreshers, thai and taro milk tea, it's all over the place. All that made it difficult to choose what to eat, admittedly because all the menu pictures looked delicious. Unfortunately, the dishes we got weren't as appetizing. Umami fold (beef) - bulgogi, rice, corn... that's it. It was just salty, with no interesting texture. After a few bites it became monotonous and ...boring to eat. It didn't quite live up to its description of "marinated beef inside a warm, crispy wrap layered with fragrant steamed rice and a vibrant medley of Asian vegetables." Yuzu sweet chili wings - what a letdown. Tasted like frozen Costco wings tossed in some generic sauce, with some yuzu flavored aioli drizzle. The District Eatery is a Korean version of Chipotle/CAVA where you can build a bowl and customize items in an assembly line fashion. BYOB ($14) - For my base I went with kale salad and my protein on one visit was beef bulgogi and on a subsequent visit was the spicy beef. I definitely recommend going with the spicy beef, it wasn't too spicy and has a lot of flavor. Topping selection included: cucumber, onions, kimchi, corn, edamame, tomatoes, pineapple, guacamole, or pickled onions. On my 1st visit they let me choose all the toppings and the next time they said only 5 of the toppings. Finally one can top it off with some sauces. I enjoyed the spicy mayo. Overall the food was fresh, filling and tasted pretty good. Pricing is reasonable if one selects the beef option (CAVA charges extra for beef). The chicken pricing is slightly more than what CAVA charges. They do have shrimp and salmon options but those are $3.50 more. One thing they can improve on here is not limit the toppings to 5, but should allow customers to select as many, just like CAVA. read more

Way to expensive for a bowl of "rice". We feel scammed we got 3 small pieces of chicken in this bowl and barely any sides but a whole ton of rice. We also got the bulgogi fries which was just as bad 2/3 fries with minimal sauce and a tiny bit of meat. Would not recommend this place unless you want to pay so much for a bowl of rice. I would have give two stars if it wasn't for the girl at the register. She acted like she hated being there and had a face with no expression. She didn't try to help us with the order or even offer to explain the menu. We work close by and I had noticed that this place recently opened up. We came on a Wednesday afternoon during the middle of the lunch hour. There were maybe one or two customers inside and the dining area outside by the theater was empty except for one other table occupied. Parking is close by as well if you need to quickly access the restaurant without having to walk all over the center. The restaurant was clean and welcoming. Our server, Angel was awesome and very friendly and informative as to the menu and options. My coworker and I inquired if the spicy chicken was indeed spicy, and he offered for us to sample it. Great! The set up here reminded me of a poke bowl process where you choose your base and then proteins and toppings I decided on the build my own bowl I started it off with the seasoned rice as it sounded tasty and the kale salad, which is more unique than the standard spring salad mix. For my protein, I selected the Protein Trio as I wanted to try the different meats, which included chicken, beef, and pork. Next step, I think we're able to choose five toppings. I went with the edamame, guacamole, cucumber, pickled radish, and kimchi. I like that they have various unique sauce options to choose from. I went with the spicy umami, honey garlic, and spicy mayo. I wanted to really like this concept and wanted to come back, but I'm not sure if that'll happen. I like the variety of protein options but what was missing was a smoky charred taste from the meats. I asked how the meats were cooked and they are pan fried. However, the slices of pork were too big, and the fat was not rendered, and it was not pleasant to eat. This reminded me of a boiled texture when it was pan fried. And don't get me wrong. I like boiled meats when it's supposed to be boiled as in soup or bossam. Same for the grilled beef, which was stringy and in large chunks. There is no grilled or fried taste or texture. Not appealing. The chicken cubes also resembled a braised or boiled like texture. If the heat was turned up and maybe cooked in a wok versus a flat pan, that would probably help make it more appealing and tasty. My coworker chose the chicken bulgogi tacos. She only ate the filling which she liked but her tortillas were hard and dry. I think it's hard to execute all these different types of items in one small place. I noticed they had a variety of drinks and Boba to choose from. I'll save that for a Boba shop. We might give this place another try in the future. read more

I'm typically picky about trying Korean fusion places, but gave this place a try since my partner wanted to try the kimchi burger. Bulgogi Fries- These were really good. The bulgogi wasn't too overpowering so the flavors mixed well. (Fries in general here are very solid) Seoul Smash Burger - I will say I was a little sad about this one. Sauce was relatively heavy and patties missing seasoning. Would have loved more of a smash/crust and a bit more seasoning. Kimchi Burger- the kimchi sauce on this was delicious. I hope they use this and run with it, even gave a suggestion to use it on Fries. I used the drips from this to mix with Fries and made my own. Wanted more after. The patty itself suffered the same as above, but mostly negated by the kimchi sauce. Also, their juice was very good. Not sure if made in-house, but the strawberry dragonfruit was very good. It was 80% rice with remaining items sprinkled over the top: Bland pieces of what appeared to be boiled boneless chicken meat, a table spoon of corn, sliced pickled onions, sesame seeds, scallions, and "Kim chee." A note on the "Kim chee"- tasteless minced to almost a pulp of some orange/red item. A teaspoon worth. I would be thrown out of the house if I dared to serve this and call it "Kim chee". Truth! I asked for Gochukang- the traditional "hot sauce" and was directed to Sriracha packets. When I specifically asked for Gochu, I was told it was mixed into a mayonnaise concoction that accompanied my Chicken plate. All in all I wouldn't make a second visit to Seoul Eatery. It appears they are "Korean Lite" and cater to a crowd that aren't expecting more traditional fare. How to improve: 1- Serve real Kim Chee that Abogee would be proud of. My wife was excited for me to try this place after she had a good experience last summer. Unfortunately, something terrible must have happened to this place since then. The menu has been completely gutted of everything that made the place good previously. They have dropped the protein options, the sauces, they used to include avocado for free...every single thing that made the place interesting previously has been replaced by a poor changeling replica. The rice was poorly cooked (mushy) and unseasoned which it was previously. The bulgogi was an oversweet mush that looked like scraps from the bargain bin-it was no surprise when I witnessed the cook boiling 3 pounds of grey beef scraps in a overstuffed pot -antithetical to anything this place used to dish out. We used a bogo coupon my wife got last month, and it still felt like I got scammed, looking at a mushy mess in a bowl that would have been 15 dollars after tax. I'm not sure what has happened here, but I cannot actively recommend that anyone come here. Even if you lost your taste to COVID, you would still have to suffer through the gummy rice and gruelgogi. It is already on its last legs anyway, so to quicken its demise would be a mercy. Nothing short of a complete miracle overhaul would save this place. read more

Wanted to try a new place that open up, but due to the misleading menu, I might only come back after management makes some update. Walked in and since the store wasn't busy, I spent some time looking at the menu before ordering. I actually came into the store to check out their menu, and walked around looking at some other food options in the area before returning. Both times there were 2 staff working the front. After figuring out that I wanted to try a build your own bowl (I'm thinking it's similar to any poke shop or chipotle, which I've eaten there many times). When you look at the menu, it's pretty straightforward with telling you the steps on choosing your base, protein, toppings and sauce. However, the one that looked the most interesting and figure it give you a taste of all the Flavour was the PROTEIN TRIO. Both on the menu (left wall) and pictures on the glass screen (where you go to order) don't indicate that it's an additional cost next to it. The pictures on the glass case actually has a description of what each protein is with a photo. And for the trio, had a mixture. In both places, there is indication that it would cost more then if u were to add on an additional protein as it's listed as one item. Since this confusion, before ordering I even asked the server if she can explain the protein trio. What management didn't teach her was to explicitly say, "adding addition scoop of pork will be +$3.50". Instead, the way she word it was very misleading and vague. The menu and picture on glass case should have right next to it "+$7". During when I was ordering, there was no one else in the shop. It was myself, 2 workers, and a gentleman working in the corner which looked to be the owners. No one corrected her or clarified these additional cost as we continue the process. And I was asking about some of the other proteins that you can see through the glass case (salmon and garlic butter shrimp). On this note, the salmon can ONLY be for the salad pre-set menu. There no way to add it for an additional cost or to your rice bowl. And for the rice bowl, getting garlic butter shrimp which is listed in the giant menu (left) as a protein you can select... cost additional (but there is no price indication that there an upcharge for a "premium item" like guacamole from chipotle or Panda Express". What original started out as a BYOB (build your own bowl) for $13.50 ended up being $22-23. The lack of customer service is disheartening especially when the goal of most food places is to give the customer a good experience to retain repeat customers. Some free advice that hopefully management is able to enhance the customer experience by updating these changes without having to reprint their menu: by adding an icon like a star to "to indicate additional $3.50 cost" located at the left of the giant menu next to the $13.50. And then adding the star icon to both the Garlic Butter Shrimp and Protein Trio. Both on the menu and the glass case. That way there is no confusion. All cost should be explain upfront or as the choice is being selected. When I asked about the butter shrimp, I was told it's an additional charge so I opt for a different protein. With the Protein Trio, when choosing there was no warning of "this will be an additional charge of $3.50" and getting verbal confirmation from the customer. So it very scammy behavior. The food was fine. I would not recommend getting the bulgogi normal because of how oily it is. Getting 2 scoops of it actually makes the bowl overall oil. Each protein can either be spicy or non-spicy. Overall if you are looking for a rice bowl, I would say go to my second option instead. The ramen shop just a walk down towards the bowling alley. I got the miso salmon salad. The salad part was pretty good but the salmon...not so much. When I opened my bowl, I could immediately tell something was off with the salmon. It had a sort of greyish tint to it. It look overcooked and almost old. I decided to try it anyways, but that was a mistake. It tasted NOTHING like salmon. It tasted like canned tuna; dry, salty, and simply gross. I also payed $18 for this bowl with tax and so the whole experience felt very disappointing.
