Great food, excellent service, and such a fun atmosphere! We were celebrating a friend's birthday, and the staff went above and beyond to make the occasion feel special. Without us even asking, they added thoughtful little decorations to our table and surprised us with a small birthday dessert. Those extra touches really made a difference and showed how much they care about the guest experience. Everyone had a great time, and we left very satisfied. Definitely a place worth visiting!

the quality of the food was fresh, but the fish to rice ratio was a bit off. There was too much rice on the nigiri. The carrot ginger soup was a nice appetizer, and the black rice used in some of the rolls was an interesting twist. one thing to be aware of...when your server asks what type of wasabi you'd like, the fresh and pickled wasabi both come with an additional charge. Unfortunately, our server never mentioned this. She assumed it was common knowledge, but we ended up being charged $9 for the fresh wasabi and $3 for the pickled wasabi without any warning. at one point, i asked if we could try both types, and she replied, "Of course," which made it seem like it wasn't an issue or an added cost. If we were paying for both, there wouldn't have been any reason to ask for permission in the first place. When we asked if she could let us know next time that wasabi was extra, she simply said that fresh wasabi is "always extra." That may be true, but it's something that should be communicated before ordering rather than assumed. while the ingredients were fresh, I didn't find the food or the experience memorable enough to justify the price. Not authentic either..There are plenty of other sushi spots with better value and a more transparent dining experience, so I probably won't be back.

California roll- generous on the pieces

The whole family enjoyed Ten for dinner. A combo of sushi rolls and Asian fusion items were part of our order, and nothing disappointed. Service was great too, and we were kn the patio. Inside was busier that night, due to Fifa on the TVs. The Mongolian beef was probably my favorite, eaten with the garlic noodles and cucumber salad. I love a good flavor combo that is also food group balanced. The menu was extensive, and included all variations of sushi. I appreciated the options of Fusion, which had something for everyone.

Great food and drinks. Felt very rushed out by the waitress taking our plates and asking us to move our pieces to our small plate to take them away and bringing the check with the dessert so we felt we had to eat quickly. We were there for a short time and plenty of seating available. Parking was validated. Ambiance, a little noisy and the tables were close together but the cherry blossom tree was nice. Still enjoyed the rolls.

Service was great. My dad and I came here for lunch for the first time and I was impressed by the decor as well as the great service at the Bar. My dad enjoyed an IPA and I enjoyed their garlicky pasta. I even took some home and the leftovers were fantastic! My dad really liked their cucumber salad however I wasn't as much of a fan due to the ginger taste. But they were pickled nicely. Their spicy garlic edamame was also perfect. Overall I enjoyed this light lunch and will definitely come back.

This place is consistently good! Pretty large seating area with indoor and outdoor patio seating. Cool Asian motif. SERVICE: We got here a little early for our reservation, but they got us seated quickly. Very nice server and very attentive. Food came fast! FOOD: We tried the orange chicken and some sushi (El Niño) - Superb!! I would have eaten more sushi but one was enough. This is a must try place if you are in the area!

This place is a 10/10! The happy hour is amazing, and both the food and drinks were delicious. We ordered margaritas and basically every appetizer on the menu! The shishito peppers were definitely on the spicy side, but they were so good. The servers were also amazing, super friendly and attentive. I can't wait to come back!

Dai-ichi roll

Nice outdoor seating next to the bar. The waitress was great and helpful. The food was great and delicious. The fish was fresh and the rolls were so good! The food does take a bit longer to come out, maybe because we ordered a lot of foods, but the waitress was good on checking in on us for it. Highly recommend coming, there is a parking structure, don't forget to get your tickets validated.

Food so good it put the little guy to sleep! Ask for Sila!

Possibly the best Asian Fusion restaurant we've experienced! Everything we ordered was amazing and absolutely delicious! The incredible quality of the food is matched by their outstanding service. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the hostess, Makayla. A huge shoutout to our server, Sila, who took first-class care of myself, my wife, and our 2-year-old. Even with the crazy crowds and heavy heat from the World Cup final event at Bosscat next door, Sila killed it. Her attentiveness, friendliness, and great menu suggestions were completely on point. She continually checked in on us to make sure we were set the entire time. We had a wonderful experience and cannot wait to return!

CRISPY RICE
Erene A.

Came here because the vibe was giving dim lights, good drinks, flirt across the table -- and it absolutely delivered. We shared the crispy rice, forbidden roll, tuna hand roll, and honey walnut shrimp, and everything was seriously delicious. This is one of those places that looks pretty enough for photos but actually backs it up with flavor. The food hit, the atmosphere was intimate, and it felt like the kind of spot you linger at a little longer than planned. Only tiny note: the tuna hand roll was delicious but smaller than expected -- more "tease" than "main event." Overall? Sexy vibes, great food, perfect for a date night you don't want to end early. Would 100% come back.

Sashimi

Excellent cocktails and excellent sashimi! The bartender was friendly and struck up a great conversation with everyone at the bar. I had a reservation and was seated right away. I ordered the mango hamachi and the yuzu salmon! Both were delicious!

We go here pretty often and really love the ambience. The music is great (Brian the manager is awesome). Their food is solid and very reasonably priced --- their miso cheesecake is a must! Mongolian beef is my go-to! We recently and love their Halloween decor and definitely try their seasonal pumpkin espresso martini!

tbh it was a good vibe in the restaurant and servers were really nice, but man is the food pricey for the mid quality, definitely can get just as good or better quality for much cheaper elsewhere, the spicy tuna crispy rice and this shrimp appetizer was like $40, the rolls and everything were also on the higher end of costs compared to other places overall it was good food but eh on the value

There is lots of parking out front. The dining room is large They have tons of options from appetizers to rolls to sashimi and much more. They even include ice cream in 2 flavors. Matcha and vanilla. The Matcha is so good. I had given them a detailed review the last time i was there. So, please check that out for more info. The fish still tastes just as fresh. Their price seems to be lower than most other all you can eat sushi restaurants. They give you 90min time limit and the service is excellent. It was a good time. Great for groups. I highly recommend Chobop in Costa Mesa.

The restaurant was very spacious and clean. First red flag was that they didn't have miso soup... what kind of sushi restaurant doesn't have miso soup lol. For the first round, we were limited to 10 pieces per person and the service was extremely slow with long waits between rounds. We even had one order of uni come out as literally just rice and seaweed with no uni?? And this was when they weren't even busy. The rolls were terrible, loosely rolled, drowned in sauce, and lacking flavor. The nigiri was the only thing that saved the meal. The fish-to-rice ratio was good but the fish itself was mediocre. They advertise bluefin tuna toro but what we got was more like negitoro rather than an actual piece of toro nigiri. The salmon belly also seemed exactly like the regular salmon with no noticeable difference. Service definitely needs improvement too. Whenever we needed something, the staff were nowhere to be found or cleaning instead of checking on tables. For the price, I expected a lot better in both food and service. With so many AYCE sushi options at a similar price point, I'd rather go somewhere else next time.

This Kura has been around and popular for a long time now. Over the years, I've gone to this Kura and the old Laguna Hills Mall Kura occasionally, but hadn't been back in years. A few months ago, we brought the kids here for lunch and have been back 5 times already because they loved it and often ask to come back. The food itself is fine, but the variety is nice. Our GO TO items are: - Sweet shrimp nigiri: Has a nice snap texture. I've never gotten one that had any "fishy" taste. - Seared items: We've had various seared eel, salmon, scallops, and beef. Most of them have been very good and none were bad. - Dessert: The butter cake is actually quite good. The NY cheese cake is not bad either. We've tried a few of the rolls, but so far none of them have stood out for us. Worth it to continue trying new ones just to see though. The kids sometimes get the beef udon, which has a simple sweet/savory flavor. We now also order a bowl of just sushi rice so that our kids don't keep taking all our nigiri rice, which has been great. Even though conveyer belt sushi is more self service than your typical sit down restaurant, the staff here has always been very nice and accommodating. They use server robots (named Kur-A and Kur-B I believe from what my son tells me), which my kids are obsessed about, and there have been some times where the staff noticed and talked to them about the robots or let them activate them. Enni has helped us on multiple visits and is so perceptive and amazing with kids. She even helped calm down our younger guy when he was having a meltdown. The reservation system through the Kura app has always worked well for me. I don't think we never waited more than 10 minutes for a table even though we've only gone on weekends. I'm glad we rediscovered Kura and there are sure to be many additional visits in our future.

The price per dish has increased few times. The wait is only by the inside waitlist form that u fill out when u get there, you can't do it by Yelp waitlist. When they text u to come back and check in, you wait another 15 min so there's no one to check back in with, you just wait outside until they call you. Maybe this system could be fixed? Food quality is almost always the same, it isn't gourmet but it isn't crappy either. I love the regular salmon nigiri. I also like the sweet shrimp. If they fix the wait and how they seat u, I think it will have more stars! I will prob come back here since it's just comfort food at this point. :)

I loved that the salmon was torched on top, giving it a nice smoky flavor. I just wish the piece of salmon was a bit bigger for an $18 roll. They were perfectly salty with a nice kick of heat. Everything else was pretty standard. The miso soup was a bit disappointing since it tasted watered down and lacked flavor. The katsu sauce was also on the sweeter side. Overall, I'd definitely come back. Hako is my favorite katsu spot in the area!
