Great food! We ordered 2 orders of meat and it came with lots of side dishes that we really enjoyed. Comes with rice and egg soup as well! Service was quick and the servers were nice. Would recommend!
Pretty solid Korean food! Nothing like ending the workday with lettuce wrapped steamed pork belly alongside with beer and soju. Great selection of Korean items. Loved the steamed eggs as always and the jajjangmen was okay (black bean noodles)
I would rate this 3.5 stars. I was in Ann Arbor for a 1 night business trip. My colleague and I were tired and didn't want to drive. Seoul Garden was a 5-minute walk from the hotel, so we tried it out. It was a large place with lots of room and a small bar. Some of the tables were set up for Korean BBQ, which we didn't try because you need two people, and my colleague doesn't eat meat. My colleague is a vegetarian, and he had a lot of choices. He tried a vegetarian version of the Bibimbap. He thought it was good, properly prepared, and flavorful. I tried the spicy pork with onions in a red sauce. It was good and hearty. It really wasn't spicy at all, which was a bit of a letdown. The dishes came with a small amount of rice and a number of sides like kimchi and other vegetables. They also had a full liquor license. They made a really good Mai Tai. The value was also very good. The two meals, sides, and one Mai Tai were $55.
Wow! This place I wonderful! When I was in undergrad at Uof M, my Korean roommate introduced me to many Korean spots in the downtown area. They are all long gone. I've been Searching for a local spot that is not just BBQ. They have many options which range from lavish Bbq to simple apps. The banchan is fabulous and can be refilled. I got 2 Long Island iced teas and BbQ with spicy pork. There was plenty of delicious food and it was reminiscent of my favorite Korean dishes in 1990. service was wonderful, fast and friendly. I will be returning soon to try the japchae, pageon, bibimpop, among other things.

After about four years, we finally came back to this restaurant, and it feels like a completely different place. The remodel really transformed it. The layout has changed significantly and the space feels much more open and updated. We came for dinner as a group of five. There's a BBQ side menu (not pictured) that lets you choose sets of 3, 4, or 5 meats from their full list. Some premium options, like the soy garlic rib-eye, come with an additional $5 upcharge. We ordered the 5-meat BBQ set: bulgogi, chadol (brisket), spicy chicken, galbi, and soy garlic rib-eye. The BBQ came with banchan, and we also added several shareable dishes: chicken fried rice, vegetable egg rolls, rock shrimp, steamed egg, and kimchi tofu. The meats were all very good. Everything was well-marinated and flavorful. The spicy chicken tasted great, but it was cut into smaller pieces, which made it a bit messy and harder to cook on the grill. Still enjoyable overall. The rock shrimp was cooked just right and had a nice texture. All of the side dishes paired well with the BBQ and helped round out the meal. Sauce options included sesame oil with salt and pepper and fermented bean sauce. There wasn't a dedicated sauce for the brisket (chadol), but the staff let us know we could bring our own sauces if we wanted. We visited on a Monday evening around 5:30 pm, and it wasn't busy at all. There were plenty of tables and lots of space, which made for a relaxed dining experience. Service was attentive without being intrusive. The servers checked in at the right moments, especially when we needed help with our grill. Overall, a solid return visit with good food, improved ambiance, and thoughtful service.
Another great kbbq spot in Ann Arbor. The servers were great and it's not as crowded here. I like how big their place is and their meats were seasoned very well

We weren't in the mood for a hibachi table, so we skipped the hibachi show and big dinner and picked three things from their regular menu. We ordered a Spicy Pork Combo ($20), an order of three egg Rolls ($6), and an order of six humongous Soy Garlic chicken wings ($12). As soon as we ordered, a variety of Banchan side dishes came out right away. There were six of them -sticky rice, kimchi, potatoes, broccoli, crunchy pickled vegetables, and spicy seafood strips. What a great way to start the meal. My spicy pork was fantastic- a heaping platter of thinly sliced very spicy pork strips over sauteed sliced onions. The wings were gigantic, some of the biggest we've ever seen, and they were delicious. We both thought the egg rolls were the weak link because there didn't seem to be much inside except shredded cabbage. Service was very good, and the food was plentiful and reasonably priced.
Food is always delicious- we got the marinated kalbi and tangsuyuk. It was great that we could get additional banchan as well. The service can be slow as it seems they don't have a lot of staff working around 5pm. Visited 7/19/25
The food was ok here. It had some hits and a few misses. The restaurant is very clean and looks modern. The bon chon was not served until the meal was coming out. The kimchi was a hit. It was on the fresher side which is what I prefer. The radish was also very good. The mashed potatoes were sort of sweet. I found those to be interesting and unexpected. We ordered a kimchi pancake and it was sooooooo oily. The pancake was so oily that none of it has any crispness at all. i would not order that again. The spicy chicken bbq was not spicy at all. I mean not even a little bit. The overall flavors were ok but I wanted some of that spice!The serving size was quite large. Service was slow but friendly.
I liked that they have good size parking space. I ordered course meal for 4 assuming portion size maybe small but I was wrong. It came with many different dishes and there were a lot of meats. Quality of meats were very good. The building looked little outdated so I was worried at first but inside was large and looked clean. The staff was friendly and checked on us for refill of drinks frequently. This place became one of my favorite restaurants. Definitely we come back again.

I ordered the more expensive option because they had 2 choices of Kalbi for the beef portion. Ultimately for 3 people, we ordered 6 servings of Kalbi, 3 Chadol, 1 bbq chicken, 1 ribeye, 1 seafood pancake, 1 veggie dumpling, 1 kimchi, 1 steamed egg and 2 rice. The total ended up being over $100. I would say for 3 people it wasn't bad in price! The food was all good! The service was good! We came Saturday afternoon (3pm) and didn't have to wait for a table. I wouldn't say anything was especially amazing, but for the price I think it was a good deal! The portions were very fair and I would come back!
I love what they have done with the place since our last visit. Great menu, full bar, reasonable prices and very friendly staff. Such an improvement! Saturday night dinner at 7:30p. I called for a reservation. They had a grill table ready for us with banchan and waters already placed. Super! We ordered hot tea (it's barley tea), tangsooyuk pork, kalbi sal, and pork belly. Ordering two meats gets you complimentary steamed egg. What a treat! The grill meat was excellent quality and very tasty. The only thing that wasn't the best was tangsooyuk. It was a lot of large pieces and all dark meat pork. The coating and the meat was very chewy. My husband couldn't eat it. I didn't think it was too bad. Definitely edible just not his preference. He ordered vegetable fried rice. He didn't care for the grill meat either. His lose. It was excellent. The fermented bean paste was tops with the meat. Great purple pickled radish and spicy kimchi. We hadn't eaten all day and for this throw down it was $100 before tip. I took home a ton of pork belly that I cooked up first. I really enjoyed it. Not too busy for a Saturday night. Good service too. Check them out if you haven't been in awhile. read more

Food tasted great! We got the Beef Brisket and Ribeye Steak for BBQ. We also ordered the Pork Belly plate and the Kimchi Pancake. We tried to sit where there was good ventilation because we brought our baby with us. Unfortunately, we felt the gas smell was still pretty strong (we covered the stroller because that was the best we could do). Service was kinda hard because we sat in the middle section and they didn't always look over. The servers were friendly but it was hard to get their attention at first to order. The banchan (side dishes) were okay. But the beef brisket & the ribeye steak were delicious!! They make their Kimchi Jeon (kimchi pancake) really well because it was crispy and the ingredients were mixed perfectly! The Pork belly plate was also good and had a good mix of veggies and sauces. It's nice that they spent money to update the restaurant and it looks great. Love the open concept and additional sunlight from the new windows that been added. The chairs were nice but it was bit uncomfortable after a while. Unfortunately with the upgrade, they removed the sushi options and it's full Korean restaurant. Menus are all in English now and they jacked the prices up by 50% or more. I wouldn't complain about higher fees if their food taste went up, however it went down, the serving bowls were downgraded as well. I guess this is reality of inflation and Covid affects. While this place was going through upgrades, they opened a new kbbq joint on Liberty - The Seoul - to compete with Tomukun. I don't know if that location has better food, but I would assume it's the same. Bit disappointed with their food quality. read more
I've been coming here for several years now; it's not my go-to Korean restaurant in the area, but it's not bad. I like the rotating banchan here, and you can ask for some hot barley tea! Here are some of my favorites: * Tripe Soft Tofu Stew - Not the best in the area, but it will satisfy your soondubu cravings. I love the tripe mixed the spicy broth that's pretty flavorful. Pretty big portions. No complaints. * Cold Buckwheat Noodles (Mul Naengmyeon) - It's pretty delicious here! Get some kalbi or bulgolgi (not marinated) and you have an explosion of flavors in your mouth. Sadly, they give you one or two small pieces of beef in each naengmyeon. Not a lot of noodles either, just a lot of broth in a big bowl to make it appear large. KBBQ here is on the more expensive side and relatively small portions. Will satisfy your cravings if you are in the area! read more

They did a complete renovation of this place from the last time I came a few years ago! It's a lot more spacious and looks very modern. Food was just as delicious as I remembered it to be and service was excellent. Kalbi portions were huuuge this is the first time my fam ever had to pack leftovers after kbbq. This is def one of the better kbbq spots around the area. read more

We were seated in the way back at a grill table. Had waters out quick. They are spacing guests out with more than 6 foot spacing between. They are cleaning surfaces between guests. We ordered the spicy BBQ chicken, one order, an avocado salad, house salad and the ttoekbokki for ro share. Neither of us were terribly hungry but were craving some spicy Korean food, then again when don't I want Korean food? I really like that there wasn't a minimum of 2 BBQ orders since my husband wasn't really hungry and wanted salad and tteokbokki and just a few pieces of chicken at most. It's also a plus that they trim up their chicken quite well and really lean too. The grill was out in minutes. The bountiful array of banchans were out, along with our avocado and house salad as well as the spicy BBQ salad. The spicy BBQ chicken plate was out and was nicely trimmed and so lean too. The meat cooked up nicely and tasted good too, nice with the neatly trimmed romaine leaves, a dot of the soy bean paste. Be sure to get some fresh garlic to grill up and eat with the chicken too. The house salad comes with ginger. The avocado salad is sliced avocados on top of the house ginger salad. The banchans are spicy pickled radish, fish cake, kimchi, shredded radish and broccoli. The waitress here is on top of things and is attentive and quick to respond, she's efficient and checks up on us too. The tteokbokki isn't spicy, more peppery, yet still flavorful. The sauce isn't a thick pepper paste and more soupy. They offer full meal kits to take and cook up at home for the entire family. Average prices here. Service is good, food is also quite good as well. read more

Newly remodeled into a brighter much more modern look. Super clean and airy. We ordered way too much for 4 people, but everything was very good. The meal came with plenty of banchan/side dishes, which were more generous than many of the restaurants that we've been to. We had the meat combo for 2-3 people, which came with the rice and steam egg. We also got a side salad that came with it. We ordered calamari tempura, kimchi pancake, spicy short rib soup, and jampjaeng. It was all very good. Service was very attentive. They did add a "surcharge" or tip, on their own, which was odd. Not a fan of imposed forced tipping, which was 18%. The service was great, and if they didn't force it on us I would have tipped much more. I despised forced tipping as much as I despise credit card up charges that some places now impose too. Overall it was delicious and hit the spot! read more

I am a bi fan of korean cuisine so staying in a hotel nearby decided to try this place. I ordered the Jaeuk kimchi bokum, a stir fry supposed to contain pork belly, kimchi & onions in spucy sauce. When the dish arrived I noticed something I have never seen. It was almost 50% rice cakes! Hardly any pork could be found. Obviously a way to cheat the customer & lower your ingrediant cost. I will never go back & do not recommend! read more
Place: This place is off campus of AA (Ann Arbor). You definitely need a car to get to this place. There is parking and I would say it is a great bring your parents to this place if you feeling hungry and want to pack left overs! The space is pretty big so a big party can come here too :) Service: The service is overall good! They are really good about refilling side dishes and the kimchi tastes pretty good! Food/price: The food is authentic and the price is pretty good overall. As a college student, I don't know if I would order barbecue with two people but in a group 4 I think it would be worth the price. Audience: I saw a lot of families and groups of friends. Recommend/tips? I would recommend this place and I see myself going there again. read more

Soup for the soul. Just what I needed when. Warm, friendly, dedicated waitstaff. Loving the complements too; those fish cakes, pickled radish, broccoli, and kimchi; yum. Spicy beef yook ke jang soup was nice. Everything I hoped for on a cold day. Enjoyable. read more

Visiting Ann Arbor, just for a day, and I'm so thankful that this restaurant is near my hotel, very convenient. The hostess was extremely friendly and welcoming. I had the Jachae (glass noodles) with the beef bulgogi...delish! I also had the shrimp shumai, all very good. Very spacious interior, will definitely return the next time I visit this city! read more
They are open again! They were closed for the longest time for remodeling and are now reopened. The restaurant looks totally different. There are still 3 different sections like before. They also have simplified their menu which means if you were a regular here previously, it's possible what you usually get isn't on the menu anymore. read more
