The meat was high quality and the service was excellent. We really enjoyed the cabbage too--definitely recommend.

We were politely greeted at the counter when we arrived for a late lunch. The young man explained…read moretheir menu and which items were customer favorites and also some of his as well we proceeded to order some brisket and dry rub ribs and a couple of drinks. After paying we took a seat and waited a few minutes for the food to arrive. When it came out we were given a choice of sauces and we elected to try a couple. Now for the reason we went. The brisket was tender, moist , and well smoked. They use a dry rub on both the brisket and the pork and it works well for both meats we tried. The ribs were also tender and tasty and done just the way I like them-bite off the bone. Ribs are overcooked in my opinion when they "fall off the bone" because they aren't ribs at that point! Being from Texas, we complemented them before we left and even gave another customer a quick opinion of how good the barbecue was. You may note that I'm not reviewing any sides because if the meat is as good as this was you don't need any sides. Their sauce is good, not too sweet and they have a sweeter option as well as a hot (habanero) sauce that is also good. If you need a good barbecue fix and you are in Ann Arbor you can't go wrong with Satchel's.

Best place ever! Like if you want comfort food with amazing & Top Tier taste! This is it! I travel…read morefrom Dearborn to Ann Arbor every Saturday. (This should let you know, how dedicated my tastebuds are) listen the Brisket is like no other the ability to have specials every week. I feel spoiled from the burgers to the wing selection. Nobody else has this on a game day or regular Saturday and they do! Rice bowls are the original thing here you can feel free to build a bowl with protein options from chicken, pork and Brisket. No fear Vegan folks you are safe here disregard the BBQ smell of the meats they have marinated and well seasoned veggies and a great range of options to build a bowl that will satisfy your protein and tummy! The staff is vibrant and nice they make you feel like family! Help with the menu and just great like better than chick-fil-a. Hear me out the specials can look crazy verbiage wise. Listen the combinations you are definitely going to either love it from first read or question the shit out of it. Just flow with it. I have had nothing terrible or nasty from here. Trust them with you palette You can grab a seat at the window it's like stool seating and it's a table at the back. So you can come here in jeans and your favorite jersey (Michigan) or come right after work in you business attire doesn't matter just come and check it out! Thank me later!

Next time we will just do the hot pot because there's so many options for it. Everything was fresh and clean, we were very pleased and thought the food was delicious. We told our waiter it was our first time there and he explained everything but it was really fast. We were able to eventually figure things out, but we made a mess. The pricing was a little confusing, but it's an all you can eat place and we expected it would be on the higher end and would have to pay extra to take leftovers home. We definitely plan to return!

I felt like I was in SoCal or something. The bathrooms are also clean and I was surprised that the bathrooms have the green/red "vacant" and "occupied" feature. There a buffet style station in the back that has all the sauces, desserts, fruit, and fried food. There's a cooler with individual ice cream (strawberry, mint, vanilla, chocolate) and wooden spoon palettes. My only complaint is that the grill took so long so our meat took forever to cook. Service was pretty good. If we needed anything, we would ask and it would be provided. We needed a couple grill changes.

This is odd because the food is good, the prices are decent, and service came with a smile. Enter under the Mash awning and turn left. This is in the former back/overflow room for Blue Tractor. Head to the counter to order, grab your silverware and drink, and take your number to a table to wait. The food comes out quickly. We ordered chips and guacamole to start. At first it's in your face with a combination of lime and salt, but after the second chip it's delicious. I do wish the guacamole and tomatoes were chopped into smaller pieces, but the flavor is stellar. The brisket on my taco was very fatty. Don't get me wrong, I know fat is flavor and the bark on their brisket is possibly heaven sent, but I can only take the texture of fat to a certain extent and I'm grossed out. I left some of the fat on my tray. It pairs well with the roasted tomato salsa. The pulled pork taco is excellent. The ingredients work well together, with the combination of crunchy and chewy textures and the pickled pepper relish with tangy lime slaw creating a wonderful flavor profile. When we return I'll only order one taco if we get chips and guacamole. Enjoy!

3, bordering on 4 stars as I know that they're brand new and hopefully will improve some things…read moreover time. I've gone 3 times now for happy hour. I'll start with what I would consider to be the areas to improve: 1. They have an email signup form promoted on the website that advertises a free taco when you sign up. Great! I tried to do it and when I asked about it there they were like, yeah we might send out discounts or coupons in the future. Just a wildly misleading promo. 2. The pricing for happy hour margs is odd. On the website it advertised 36 oz margs for $5, and when I went in I was asked what size I wanted. I said "whatever is on the happy hour menu" and I was told that both sizes were. What does that mean? Both of them are $5? 3. 2 out of the 3 times I went the margs were served on the rocks instead of frozen because the machine hadn't frozen them yet 4. It seems like there are some major kitchen issues with getting food out on time - I overheard a table waiting a really long time for their tacos Now for the positives: 1. Margs are great, and even though the pricing is very odd and unclear what is certain is that they're a good deal 2. Nice people working 3. Good hot sauces (hell yeah tapatio and Valentina!!!) 4. I like the system of ordering at a register and getting to choose your own table, makes it a more casual/fluid dining experience imo. 5. Guac is great and they are not stingy with the chips, that's for sure. Overall there are definitely some major kinks to work out, but I think it definitely has 4-5 star potential.

Well, if it's daytime just know that it's under the brown awning lol. When we walked in we were immediately greeted. They serve Coke products but have a Wisconsin root beer on draft and it's amazing! I highly recommend! My husband and I shared the roadhouse platter combo and the fried chicken mac and cheese. Both were great! Their mac and cheese is known around the world and the country and has been featured on the food network. The menu warns that the pepper from the chicken gives it a little kick and it definitely does. The star of the show though was the bread pudding. O.M.G. I cannot express how amazing it was!
