I've never heard of this spot before, and you typically will not find me in Springfield. However, a few of us made lunch plans this past Good Friday to take advantage of the $29.99 AYCE weekday lunch pricing. We got three rounds of beef brisket (chadol), one thin & thick pork belly (samgyupsal) each, and half an order of large intestine (daechang). The chadol was a little too fatty than I'd like, but it was high quality and comparable to non-AYCE options like Meokja Meokja. I didn't love the thin samgyupsal as much, but the thick version was so meaty and juicy. The intestines were a fatty treat, and I was good with just a couple bites. We had to ask for ssamjang and sesame oil for sauces, which they were generous with giving. Our server was pretty attentive, but we thought it was weird that he cooked the thin samgyupsal and the beef brisket at the same time. As for sides, we asked for lots of them (sadly our corn cheese never came). The fermented soybean stew was strong, but a bit too salty at the end. The egg bomb was fluffy and delicious. They also have ramen (aka shin ramen) which we enjoyed by adding several pieces of chadol and letting it soak in there to get that deep meaty flavor. I enjoyed the kimchi throughout the meal, which was the perfect "not quite fresh, but still crunchy" texture. Overall, we ate to our heart's content. I definitely would be back for more chadol, thick samgypsal, and a bit of daechang in the future. The $30 pricing is a steal for the amount of food we got, but I'd hesitate to pay for the $40 dinner price. I don't eat enough at AYCE spots to get my money's worth, so I would rather spend that $40 at a non-AYCE spot for higher quality cuts like galbi and rib tips.

I grabbed my order from the worker as they walked out with it and proceeded to drive 5 minutes home. I get home and I'm excited to eat my KFC and bulgogi combo with mandoo when I take my first bite, and the KFC is cold and hard. Imagine my surprise at it being cold and hard after just leaving the restaurant. Unsure if maybe the soda in the bag had anything to do with it but my families meals were also in said bag and were warmed through. Well whatever I'm hungry and don't want to go to the microwave so I mix my food up and hope the heat from there will bring everything up to room temperature, in the mean time I'm ready to dig in to my dumplings. They're alright, again kind of cold but basically the same quality as if you got the ajimoto frozen dumplings from Costco. Back to the bowl now, much to my chagrin the rest of the KFC is either 90% batter, dry as hell, or cold. It's not as bad as my poor husband though, he got the pork cutlet which was 90% batter, 5% sauce, and 5% pork. It's almost comedic how small the slice of meat was in comparison to everything else, either way would avoid. Now I hear what you're saying, you got a combo bowl what about the bulgogi and to that I say it was aight. It was cooked well enough but the slices were super tiny and just not that flavorful. I recognize the flavor is probably supposed to come from the sauces you choose( I got gochujang and garlic mayo) but it was just bland. I can honestly say never have I appreciated vegetables and rice as much as I did in this dish, they were truly the saving grace this dish needed. The kimchi is trash and I can not say this enough AVOID IT (absolutely no flavor) and the sweet potato noodles were a bit goopy, but the carrots, spinach, cucumber and rice went hard. I think if I had gotten just the vegetable bowl I'd be a lot happier. I will say the size of the bowls are pretty good and I was definitely full afterwards but it wasn't a happy full it was a well that was edible food full. Maybe this was a bad day, but it seemed like all of the bowls from our orders were just disappointing. If I'm paying $14+ a bowl I really don't want disappointing. There is potential here but I think it'll be a while before I'm ready to give it another shot.

Ghost kitchens are a hit or miss so I was nervous. When I came in, I got greeted shortly even though they were obviously busy. The space is big and they even have a bar. My food was ready so I was in and out pretty quick. I was starving as it was already evening and it was my first meal so I got to munching right away in my car. It wasn't until a few minutes into my meal I realized I was given the wrong order. I had ordered the build your own bulgogi bowl. This was my order: White Rice Sweet Potato Noodles Asian Slaw Garlic Butter Corn Wonton Chips Pickled Cucumber Spicy Edamame Spicy Mayo Soy Garlic Teriyaki I was missing sweet potato noodles, asian slaw, corn, and wonton chips. Instead I had spinach and kimchi. Both things I don't like so I ate around it. I was so hungry and surprisingly still so good I ate what I could. I would like to give it another chance but this time with what I like. Portion was worth it!!

We used to pick it up from the restaurant inside H Mart, but for around the same price point, you get a much fresher and better-quality soup here. It was seriously so good. Our go-to is the spicy galbitang, and we usually bring it home to share as part of our meal. A Korean-style meal usually consists of a protein, soup, and side dishes, so it's perfect for that. We've also dined in before and tried their marinated ribs with cold noodles, and we were thoroughly impressed. Everything tasted fresh, comforting, and authentic. Their service was great and people were very kind. Hope this place stays open forever. They absolutely deserve to.

As you come in, they'll ask if you are wanting kbbq- grill or regular food (which you can get kbbq but they will cook an entree and bring it out). Vibe is alright- kind of small but works. I got the spicy galbi tang and dad got the Al tang. Both were alright- not bad. It took a bit of time for us to get food- and the side dishes were served with the entree so nothing to snack on while waiting. The side dishes portions are small, which isn't bad but they said they "ran out" of the bean sprouts and spinach when asking for a refill and it was only 7:00pm- they close at 10. Then we saw it being served to the table next to us- which I get if they are worried about running out for new customers. It was also super cold in the restaurant. Overall, felt like the experience was average... dad thought subpar.

If you cannot get a spot, you'll have to drive past this building to a bigger parking lot by the other shops and walk back here. Not a big deal. Takeaway: the portion is giant. The bulgogi and the pork belly dishes were nicely presented. Here, to be fair, I need to acknowledge a difference in preferences. I thought the seasoning on the bulgogi was just okay and I absolutely didn't like pork belly seasoning. But! JP thought the pork belly was delicious. Okay, on to the elephant in the room. Why only two stars? I'll start with the menu. You order at the cash register. When we went to the counter, there was a paper copy of the menu and all the prices were blacked out. The cashier perkily explained that the prices had changed so that was why prices were blacked out. So why not print a menu with the current prices? And the reality is that even though there are tables in Puzukan, this is completely a take-out restaurant. Though our order was for dine-in, we were served our meal in take-out boxes with plastic silverware. Covid redux? Also, there was no banchan, nor any soy or hot sauce on the table. What cemented two stars for Puzukan was my visit to the restroom. The corridor to the restrooms was cluttered with supplies on shelves sticking out every which way. And then the far restroom...oh that restroom. It was filthy with bodily by-product flung on the wall. But what was the worst was this restroom was filled haphazardly with more restaurant supplies. Lying out in the open were a whisk and other cooking equipment on a shelf next to the toilet. Need I say more?
