Bit of a hidden gem. Food is incredible, if a bit on the pricey end. Everything was sizzling hot and tasted amazing. Service was remarkably quick. We were one of two customers there during a Sunday afternoon. We were able to order just after sitting down and our food was ready within minutes. Ambiance was typical of a Korean restaurant. Very clean with a few tvs showing YouTube videos. Since it's not crowded I was able to easily converse with my friend.

Beef tips, 2nd beef out of beef combo for 3-4 people
Alex J.

Went on a Sunday for lunch. We' were one of the early ones so we were seated in a good location. Ordered the beef combo for 3-4 people, cold and spicy buckwheat noodles, kalbi soup and dolsut Bibimbap. Meat quality was good. Portion was smaller than other BBQ combos I've had for same amount of people. Buckwheat noodles were over cooked and soup base was ok. More radish, cucumber and pear would of been better. Kalbi soup was good. Dolsut Bibimbap was ok. First time eating at a Korean BBQ in Springfield. Other areas in VA are better, but willing to try again to help local business in areas across VA.

We came shortly after they opened for dinner so it was nice and quiet! They have a good amount of food choices on the menu. The food was absolutely delicious and flavorful! It was a tad higher priced then other Korean BBQ places we've been too but the food and service was absolutely amazing that the price point was worth it! Looking forward to coming back again in the future!

Beef pork combo 2

Top notch. I am Korean, and this is my favorite KBBQ restaurant. For a party of 2.5 (two adults and a toddler), we ordered beef and pork combo #2 and left with our tummies contently full. The brisket was a nice, thicker cut than typical kbbq restaurants. All cuts were mouthwatering good, and pairs perfectly with the three sauces (salt, ssamjang, brisket soy sauce). All of the side dishes were tasty. This is a fully serviced bbq. The owner grills the meat perfectly for you. Overall, the service is what reminds me of home. Not superficial or loud. Quiet and considerate. For example, for our toddler they served an extra fried egg without us asking. I like that the ambiance is calm and welcoming. Not blaring loud music. Clean floors and restrooms. A place to bring your folks to impress.

Steamed egg

Meh, I think this place is alright. Not an all you can eat place, just fyi to all the carnivores out there. That being said, it gets pricey quickly. Out of all the things we ordered, the steamed egg was the only best part for me as it came out fluffy and full unlike some other places their egg would sink down. The bulgogi we ordered was flavorful but it was too salty. The banchan (side dishes) that came out was ok, I see the servers taking it out from their cart on the side which I don't know if it's refrigerated or not. Everyone had the runs when we got home. The super thin metal chopsticks that they have will give you hand cramps. Another thing that pissed me off was everything I ordered came out but the rice. I had to ask for it 4 times, it wasn't even busy.

Nice place kinda in the cut if you're not familiar with the area and the direction you come from. If you are a beef and pork eater this is the spot for you. I wanted chicken bulgogi which they didn't have nor would make which seemed odd to me for this being a Korean restaurant. Nice ambiance nice staff and the apple soju is good..

Ban Chan

I love this place. It's clean, spacious, nice sunlight, food is good and prices are decent. The galbi was good with good portions, spicy pork nice flavor, the dolsut bibimbap had crispy edges and the ban Chan was plentiful. Over the summer I liked the spicy bibim neng myun. No dukkook which is sad. Service was adequate.

Bibimbop
Eunha Y.

The way Samghyupsahl was sliced was pretty. Unlike other places, there wasn't excessive smoke or popping of the oil at the table. Bibimbop was good. Soondubu Chigae was a bit too sweet for my taste. Soy bean stew was very good though. One of my daughters ordered Nangmyun but the owner came out to apologize that it wasn't available that day. Rice came with the orders. Lately, I've seen Korean restaurants charge extra for rice. I think that's crazy. Although their 2 TVs had pop playing, it wasn't as loud as other places. The service was good too. The owner & the server checked on us often. Although there was plenty of parking available, it was difficult to find because it's located behind Trader Joe's. All in all, it was a great experience. I just wish they had grilled fish in their menu.

This is absolutely the best Korean barbecue in Springfield. The food is fresh, the service is excellent, and the prices are decent. I lived in Korea for five years, and I have tried all of the Korean barbecue restaurants in the surrounding area. This ranks up there at the very top and the fact that it's so clean and close to my house is a huge bonus. I like the small touches, like putting butter on the cooking surface before you start cooking the meat... It helps season the cooking surface and prevents sticking... you won't leave hungry as there are lots of side dishes and plenty of lettuce too, which you won't find at all of the restaurants around here. Bottom line is this is a great choice if you're into Korean BBQ.

Great authentic Korean food on the way to the Balian Spa. Another recommendation is to get the Soju to compliment your meal.

Nice takeout note

On my way to Virginia from Maryland I decided to stop by Stupid Good BBQ for lunch on the day prior…read moreto Father's Day 2026. I do love the GAR brand. The place was very busy, which was good to see in these times. My daughters and I had the pull pork sandwiches, SG chicken salad, and some pork ribs. We had cornbread of course and sides were Mac & cheese, collard greens, pork & beans, and Cole slaw. We drinks and also had banana pudding to go. Everything was delicious the pulled pork was great and the girls added their favorite sauces. The ribs had the best smoke rings and were fall off the bone tender. They didn't need anything extra to help them. The chicken in the salad was moist and easy to cut. The salad was well balanced and delicious. The only thing I wish was on my salad was a boiled egg but that is personal preference. All the sides including the cornbread was flavorful and hit the spot with seasoning. Now it wasn't homemade but very good and worth the money for restaurant walk-in quality. The place even busy was also very clean and staff was working hard, very friendly and serviced us as soon as we walked in. The person running the from even asked for help at another register once three people were in line. Service being quality and as important as the quality of the food. A++ and 10 with two snaps in a circle. Go and enjoy.

I love me some BBQ & I love GAR group restaurants (Great American Restaurants for you non-locals…read morelol), but this one was a bit of a disappointment, unfortunately. DEETS: This is a counter-service restaurant where you place your order with a cashier, and someone brings your food to your table when it's ready. SERVICE: We went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon, and it was not very busy at all, with maybe three tables occupied. There were several staff members behind the counter, but no one was paying attention to anything other than themselves or their phones, and they all had their backs to the entrance, oblivious. We waited & waited for someone to turn around, notice us, greet us, and be served. As for seating, we had only the option to sit at a table because all the open booths were dirty. The restrooms were not much better. After our food came out, they must have finally seen the mess because a couple of the crew members, including the chef, started cleaning up the tables. Great to finally see the place get cleaned, but the dining room should never have been in the condition it was in to begin with, especially with it so empty and the staff just standing around, oblivious, as if they had nothing to do... *sigh* & insert a big eyeroll! FOOD: Not surprisingly, the food was average because "you get what you give" and they obvi didn't give a.... We got a pulled pork and a prime brisket with coleslaw, and they were both a bit on the dry side and lacking flavor; nothing at all like the amazing pulled pork at their sister restaurants. The table had a cute wooden box holding a selection of sauces, but sadly, they all tasted pretty much the same. Surprise! lol As always, peeps, support your local small biz, and yes, I would possibly give them a second chance because I do love GAR concepts, but if I do go back, it won't be back anytime soon, or I may not go back at all and stick with my faves of their concepts that I love and know they work, i.e., Patsy's, Silverado, & Sweetwater. 5/31/26

I've never heard of this spot before, and you typically will not find me in Springfield. However, a few of us made lunch plans this past Good Friday to take advantage of the $29.99 AYCE weekday lunch pricing. We got three rounds of beef brisket (chadol), one thin & thick pork belly (samgyupsal) each, and half an order of large intestine (daechang). The chadol was a little too fatty than I'd like, but it was high quality and comparable to non-AYCE options like Meokja Meokja. I didn't love the thin samgyupsal as much, but the thick version was so meaty and juicy. The intestines were a fatty treat, and I was good with just a couple bites. We had to ask for ssamjang and sesame oil for sauces, which they were generous with giving. Our server was pretty attentive, but we thought it was weird that he cooked the thin samgyupsal and the beef brisket at the same time. As for sides, we asked for lots of them (sadly our corn cheese never came). The fermented soybean stew was strong, but a bit too salty at the end. The egg bomb was fluffy and delicious. They also have ramen (aka shin ramen) which we enjoyed by adding several pieces of chadol and letting it soak in there to get that deep meaty flavor. I enjoyed the kimchi throughout the meal, which was the perfect "not quite fresh, but still crunchy" texture. Overall, we ate to our heart's content. I definitely would be back for more chadol, thick samgypsal, and a bit of daechang in the future. The $30 pricing is a steal for the amount of food we got, but I'd hesitate to pay for the $40 dinner price. I don't eat enough at AYCE spots to get my money's worth, so I would rather spend that $40 at a non-AYCE spot for higher quality cuts like galbi and rib tips.

They also offer butter and honey for your cornbread. It's a spacious restaurant and every table has napkin rolls/ sauces and they are very prompt cleaning tables. They have a nice semi-private side room for special occasions. This is a very appreciative restaurant towards military/police/ fire/ emergency medical response services. Being in a military family- we have always appreciated how much this restaurant does for the military community. You can choose to buy a plastic cup when you order your food; and some of the proceeds go towards a veteran program. This is the place where you can bring the family or dine alone. I would have loved to be seated next the the staircase because it has some nice sight lines. The restaurant is so clean and nicely decorated as if you stepped into a homey yet lux cabin restaurant. It just feels....comforting. There were a lot of people dining here but the noise level was surprisingly minimal. The service is impeccable. Every waiter was attentive. Lol The server was very knowledgeable about everything and left me to decided between all the wonderful options they offer. And they have OPTIONS. I heard the steak is banging. I'll be back... Now let's talk about these Ozzie dinner rolls. Bomb! End of story. And in my Nike voice....Just do it. In other words stuff your face and get some to go. Nice thing is they give you to pieces of trout 1 for now and 1 for later because yes I stuffed my face with those darn Ozzie rolls. Smh I had my eyes set on that deep dish apple pie and I shall return to try it and other menu items..like that banging steak. My leftovers hit the spot. I had enough for a whole lunch the next day. Saved me extra resources. Everything tasted even better the next day. Like the seasoning settled in and exploded into deliciousness. Just be upfront about it and clearly print the upcharges on the menu. That would avoid confusion for customers. This is the first time in my life I've spent around $75 on food and only eaten about a quarter of it, and that was simply because I was hungry. I packed up the rest only to throw it away later. The ribs were extremely tough, tough enough that I felt like I could break a tooth trying to eat them and I kept searching for seasoning that never seemed to be there. As for the burnt ends, I honestly don't even know where to begin. The young lady at the register was new. I asked whether the ribs and burnt ends were included in the family combo for four, and she told me yes while the owner/manager was standing near her. When I saw the total, I was confused, and the owner/manager then explained that those meats carry an additional charge and that the combo includes pork. The cashier immediately apologized and said, "I didn't know, but now I know moving forward." She was kind, professional, and handled the situation well. What disappointed me most was that the owner/manager had an opportunity to step in, acknowledge the confusion, and make the situation right, but that opportunity was missed. As for the sides: the cornbread was disappointing, the potato salad wasn't good, and the macaroni and cheese was decent but nothing memorable. Overall, between the lack of transparency, the poor quality of the food, and the way the situation was handled, I won't be returning like never. Seeing these reviews confuse me because I went straight to my car to write this review. I have been to at least 5 restaurants this week in this area that all earn 5 reviews for food and service so I was extremely disappointed.
