I was excited to finally get a Korean BBQ place in Springfield but it really falls short of other spots in Fairfax and Annadale. The quantity and quality of the meats are not up to par. Briskets are cut super thick and the marinated kalbi was not tender or flavorful. The steamed egg was the only redeeming item we ordered. This was sadly my first ever less than desirable experience at KBBQ restaurant. When I originally picked this location I saw the interior of it and got excited because esthetics-wise they got it down - restaurant is cozy yet modern. However, when we walked in we weren't greeted, we were met with "do you have a reservation" while mind you, restaurant had 2 or 3 tables with people sitting down. Husband answered with "I didn't think we needed one." When we sat down he told me right away that he already doesn't like it here. Staff seemed tense, but that didn't take away from politeness of our sever, so the stars for this review are mainly for him. This is not all you can eat BBQ, so when we looked at pricing we were hoping that after we had our food we'd grow taller and lose couple of pounds because that pricing is significantly above the average for any KBBQ in all DMV area that is AYCE. When we got our food it was satisfactory on flavor but for the price point the portions were very small. (Pictures for reference). As I've said food wasn't bad, we were not starving after. Reading though some of the reviews for this place I couldn't help myself but notice that some of them were written by a homeboy, since average consumer would not know the intimacy of Korean food like this reviewer did. I came here with friends thinking that it was the best Korean BBQ option in the Springfield area, and it probably was, just not for us. I say that because even though the quality of their meat was very good the price you pay for the amount your served ultimately isn't worth it. The customer service also wasn't great, and considering that there was almost no one in the restaurant we should have gotten much better service than what we did. I would recommend this place if you're in the area and have a craving for Korean BBQ but I wouldn't put it over some of the more well known places in and around the area. Hubby and I ended up here after the plans of another place fell apart. We were greeted and seated immediately. The waiter was nice and got us our drinks while we went over the menu. We realized though this was a Korean bbq it was not all you can eat. We decided to get the pork option a which was meant for 3-4 people and was 80 something dollars that way it would feel like we had an all you can eat. Wrong the portions did not match the price. If I had actually been four people getting this every one would have been upset cause it would have been like everyone paying for a full meal but getting and child's portion or and appetizer. The food was very tasty! Nice flavors! However, two things cost it a star. The hot tea was too hot to hold the cup much less drink it until partway into the meal. THE BEST KOREAN BBQ FOR MILES and MILES! We love this place. Kalbi, Pork Belly, and Sirloin meats are delicious. Kimchi pancake and yaki mandoo dumplings are amazing. We had dinner here,. The staff wear masks. They take your temperature when you arrive. Tables are far enough apart that you feel comfortable. The resturant is clean. Folks are friendly and service is great. Food was delicious. The seafood scallion pancake was the best I ever had anywhere. The LA Galbi was delicious. The Bulgogi had an amazing flavor. We've been getting takeout from Seoul since they opened. Food is always delicious. Spicy Pork, Bulgogi, and Bosam are our go to dishes. It's been several months since we've gotten food from them but seems like prices have increased. 27ish plus tip for bulgogi and almost 5 for a side of rice. Maybe it's Uber eats or maybe it's the restaurant, I think it's both. Ordered my food at 5:45. One soup. Online says it would be ready At 6:05. Got there at 6:05. Told the server that I had a Uber eats pick up he told me to wait it's almost ready. Another customer came in and ordered food to go. I Ended up waiting till 6:20 the gentleman told me to wait Outside and he would bring my food out in five minutes. I saw a couple who ordered food after I got there leaving with their food. Another two people came in and left. I proceed in to ask what the status was; was told to wait a few more minutes. Food finally came out about 5 minutes later around 6:35. Altogether the whole ordeal took almost an hour. Would have been more understanding and less harsh on the review of the time told was a bit more realistic/honest. They need to work on their first in first our process. Food was ok; wouldn't wait an hour for that again. Soup lacked the flavor many other places had. I've had the bimbipbap before and that's good. Yummy! I came by today to see what Seoul BBQ had to offer. I wanted to have a healthy veggies based dish so got bibimbap. I tasted each vegetable- the seasoned ones were delightfully marinaded, not overpowering or oily but tasteful. I was very happy with the flavors of each of the side veg. Their miso soup is very delicious too- savory, with a very good quality base. Their server was also very kind, professional and personable. How awesome is that? This was our first time ordering from this restaurant. Our family loves traditional sit down Korean BBQ, so our expectations might have been a little too high for delivery. We ordered the Kalbi beef short ribs, Spicy Pork, Fried Chicken Tenders in sauce and an order of Bibimbap. In general, we would have liked to have more sides. The short ribs and the pork were tasty and the portions were generous. The chicken tenders were just ok...probably would not order them again, but we certainly ate them all. We were, however, very disappointed with the bibimbap (which is my daughter's absolute favorite). The veggies were good, but it came with just a dusting of crumbled beef. We felt a little gypped with that one. In sum, we will be giving them another try and hope we can chalk this up to the chef just having a bad day. We got the Ala carte and was extremely disappointed in the portion. Wasn't even half of the picture from the combo menu. Spoke to the waiters and even if you ordered the combo, the pictures shown for the combo, wouldn't be what you would get and it would be less. Menu is deceiving. Definitely would not be coming back. Finally a kbbq joint closer to home in Springfield. We stumbled upon this little gem on a late night one hour before the restaurant is closed for dine-in. I usually don't like to try new places until I do some research and read some reviews, but we needed to find somewhere to eat quick and Annandale/Centreville is too far away. I was really sleeping on this place because I really loved everything about it!! The ambience is nice and clean, very stylish and has a modern feel to it. I love how bright it is and how the music wasn't blasting compared to most kbbq's I've been to. The staff was sooo friendly and nice even when we stayed 40 min after closing time. All the employees wore masks and really made sure they took all necessary precautions when dropping things off to our table. We were the only table but hope service remains the same when it gets busy. We ordered one of the the beef/pork combo for 3 which the portion was generous. We almost didn't finish but couldn't waste any of the goodness. I usually am not even crazy about kbbq because those AYCE items are usually not quality meats that you always end up eating too much of which makes me never want to go back again. Here, you can sort of portion-control and pace yourself. And even order a la carte items. 10/10 would go back and recommend. Would love to see this place thrive in the near future! read more

Great place to eat. Very clean and great atmosphere. The grill at the table sucks up the smoke, so no overly smelly clothes afterwards. The server also cooks the meat for you at the table so that was nice. We had their meat mix combo 1 with 3 different types of meat. Galbi was really good but the other 2 weren't really to our liking. The dwenjang jjigae that came with the combo was also really good. The side dish banchan selection was average but tasted good. Overall, the dinner was pretty pricy but we left very satisfied.
