I was having a serious chocolate craving. I decided the only establishment to fulfill that craving is See's Candies. It never disappoints. I really don't venture out and try new things when I have my favorites. i ordered their Milk Almond Caramel. Oh my, my, my, it's hands down my all-time favorite! I can literally feel my tummy smiling when I'm devouring it. I also grabbed Polar Bears and California Brittle. I bought a half pound of each, and somehow it lasted me two weeks! This See's candy is a Seasonal location. You know business is thriving when they have a building they don't have to open up all the time. Open on the holidays Christmas Halloween Easter till Mother's Day. I had to go in and take some pictures ended up eating more chocolate than I should've ! I had the most lovely time with Britney. This location is NOT closed despite what's posted here on the Yelp page. I'm not sure if it's only used seasonally or was maybe closed for remodeling, but this location is very much open. I stopped in on 11/16/22 and was greeted by the friendliest See's employees I've ever encountered. Everyone was very attentive to not just me, but to the other customers that came in too. They were out on the floor answering questions and making suggestions. Their customer service was about as incredible as their chocolates and made for a very enjoyable shopping experience. I was happy to try some of their seasonal offerings as well. I will definitely be back soon! read more

Now open 365 days a year! We visited this location when it was seasonally open. Well thank goodness they finally decided to keep this location open all Year. I normally buy seasonal candy at the See's outlet in Industry but my hubby enjoys eating a See's Lollipop daily so now we come once a month to See's nearby in Downey to replenish his butterscotch lollipops and for a sample. This See's Candies is not open year round; it's a seasonal shop. While it's no longer my favorite chocolate shop, they are greatly beloved by my in-laws. Therefore, it's automatic pass go and collect $200. The gentlemen working here in early December 2018 were great. Offered us a few samples. My goodness I can't say no to chocolate let alone most samples. Courteously answered a few of my husband's questions. I will most definitely be back during the non-peak hours (because I've seen this place packed) like in the mid-week mornings to buy gifts for our kids' teachers and whatnot. Hellllllloooooooo See's Candies just so happen to find this lil Gem after therapy near by. I forgot it was in this area. Haven't been here in year's. So happy to see them open and running for a few quick buys of chocolate to feed my peanut butter , peanuts cravings. Everyone had masks and gloves on, 6 feet protocols are in place, 6 customers at a time, there are 3 counters available for purchase. The employees take care of you as soon as possible. There happy to pack up pounds full of chocolate that we went back after this purchase. Parking is available on side limited. Not sure on hours. read more

She went above and beyond by putting in the little details in the three boxes I have customized. She's made an independent woman feel like a kid again~ Review (5 stars for the day after V-day): First box was for my mama and mama bear being very picky. My biggest concern was mama would be rude or rub off the wrong way but LeDesha understood mama's concern and was the sweetest with her requests for chocolates. Second box was for my grandma and she wasn't even with us at the store. I explained a few concerns for my grandma to LaDesha and she had some follow up questions which wasn't even a concern to me but was thoughtful and caring. Last box was for myself and since we were chit chatting, she got the vibe of what I may like and gave her the full box to her customization and I LOVED IT!! I went there today, and they welcomed us in and even opened the door. This employee was so helpful, I am petty sure her name was Vanessa. She gave us samples to try once we entered the store! We spent around 30 minutes in there, she was so helpful she went to look for things we needed and helped direct us. She helped package some in a bag. It was so AESTHETICALLY pleasing. Trying to help some seniors out this Valentines Eve so I arrived here 30 minutes before it opens and I'm lucky to be 7th in line. However 25 minutes later I'm still outside of the store now 3rd in line. I've seen 2 different employees come down the line asking if I needed to pick up pre-made box. No. They let 5 people cut the line who were BEHIND me. Seems to me that this strategy defeats the purpose. Every time someone walks in to cut the people who is picking up it takes longer for those of us who came early to be served. read more

See's candies is perfect. Who doesn't love chocolates. See's is classic chocolate. Been around for years. This particular location is ONLY open during certain holiday times of the year. It's on Paramount & Florence so it on major streets & parking in front. See's candies has gone up. A 1lb. box of Nut's & chews are $19.00 a box. I also got mini heart boxes & those were 12.50$. Not cheap. But every once or couple times a year is worth it. Always a free sample chocolate sample given to you, once you walk in the store. Customer service is always good! Multiple registers open. It's not as busy as other locations. read more

What the heck!!!! I just came from here to find they are STILL closed. They have a calendar posted on their front window saying they were closed THE WHOLE WEEK last week for the holidays. But the calendar only went until December 31st. I tried calling today and there was no answer and but I still went during my break to work just in case they were open. They were NOT open!! I've been craving See's chocolates but I have no idea when this location is going to be open. The See's Candies store at the Glendale Galleria was even open on New Years Day for goodness' sakes........ I'll update my review once this location opens and only if there is good service and a legit explanation of why this store would be closed for over a week. Ugh. read more

I usually don't write negative reviews, but this was by far the worst experience I have ever encountered at See's, and I'm a frequent customer. The only difference was the location. I went here during my lunch break for convenience because I work nearby. I WON'T BE RETURNING! Now I know it's Valentine's Day, so I expected long lines. However, the staff was so unorganized and inefficient. What should have been an efficient assembly line turned out to be the slowest, longest wait. It should be better organized and structured. There was a list of sold out chocolates, so I proceeded to wait in line because the chocolate that I wanted wasn't on the list. Thirty agonizing minutes later, I finally got to the front of the line. The lady asked me what I wanted and I said a pound of milk chocolate covered almonds. She said they were sold out. I told her it wasn't on the sold out list and she had no response. Talk about the lack of customer service skills. UNBELIEVABLE. Then I asked for dark chocolate covered almonds, which again, weren't listed in the sold out list. No surprise, they were sold out. At that point, I just wanted to leave. With incompetent staff and disorganization, I don't see this location being around for much longer. read more

Why, oh why, in a world with Godiva chocolates does anyone come to a place like this? The store is cute, See was a cute granny and See's is a California tradition but STILL.... The candy here is slightly better than a Snickers bar but it is not slightly more expensive....it's far more expensive. My advice....if you like caramel in your chocolate go get a Snickers bar....save money. I mean, if you come to See's, you come to save - right? So why don't you just really save and go to CVS for a Snickers or Milky Way! If you like brittle buy it from a girl scout....you'll feel better. I came here on the wrong day - Valentine's Day. I came to get my BF some of his beloved See's Nuts and Chews. I call them Yucks and Ewwws of course. It took my an hour to get to the front of the line. I was unfortunately in line behind a guy that asked for three pounds of Yucks and Ewwws. The girl behind the counter had to fill each of the boxes together. This took forever. You see they did not have any pre filled boxes left :( Funny, one of the guys at the end of the line saw this and just grimaced and waved in utter disgust at the counter and left. I got two free samples and each were gross. A nice lady I was chatting with gave me a chocolate almond and it was just OK - I mean it had caramel in it. I really don't like caramel. This store has recently been opening and closing their store for remodeling or something, so call ahead and make sure they are open for business. I'm not a big fan of chocolate, but I will go in there to buy gifts for certain people who I know are die hard chocolate lovers. Their molasses chips are excellent and I like that they have a variety of dark chocolates. They always give you a complementary piece of chocolate, but if you're like me you decline, since you're not into what they offer you... At this location they will ask you what you like and offer you the piece that you wanted. Everyone is really nice there and I'm always asked if I need help or if I'm finding everything.
