Mercifully, the staff showed elite restraint, ignoring my casual wardrobe with absolute grace. The hostess greeted us warmly, guiding us into an upscale, immaculate dining room. Looking around, you could see the floor staff moving with the quiet, focused intensity of an orchestra tuning up for the Saturday night rush. Our server, Carl, was an absolute professional. He navigated the menu with the kind of photographic memory that makes you wonder if he moonlights as a memory champion.
