Phone calls and texts were answered immediately. All of the construction was clearly explained and done exactly on time. The workmanship is second to none. This spa made our yard look incredible and really is a beautiful piece of art. Everything was explained clearly as far as operation, maintenance, etc. I believe it would be foolish to hire any other company for your hot tub installation or service. I had a terrible experience with Sedona Spas and owner Ross Herman. My 5-year-old spa developed a structural crack, which independent inspectors, including a licensed contractor, attributed to poor installation and a lack of proper foundational support. Despite our findings, Ross Herman repeatedly dismissed it as a "surface crack." He then blamed the issue on our pre-existing pergola and water drainage system, which were in place prior to installation and never flagged as a problem. I was particularly concerned to learn that Arizona law requires an ROC license for projects of this size, which Sedona Spas lacked at the time of our installation. I filed a complaint with the ROC, which resulted in a warning letter being sent to the owner. The advertised 20-year shell structure warranty was also misleading; the actual warranty is prorated and very limited. As our spa's structure is compromised and must be removed, I have requested a refund four times, but have been denied. This is the worst product and service experience I have ever had." read more

Would give this place zero stars if it was an option. Our Spa developed a crack, and Sedona Spas initially ignored requests to come and inspect the spa....after several weeks of requesting someone come and look at the spa, Ross came out and quickly declared that it was a "surface crack" and "normal". We then had an independent inspection, which found the spa was sinking into the ground as the base was not built correctly. Ross later blamed this on "water intrusion", even though any good contractor (we soon found out that he is NOT a licensed contractor) would mitigate and minimize any such possible damage. Ross also showed his ignorance of engineering stresses, as he also blames a pergola post for "moving" and putting stresses on the shell...absent any proof or signs of stress on any of the surrounding area. I was looking for a in ground spa, I was referred to Sedona Spa's by California Pool's. Apparently they were the best at in ground spa's. That may be so, as I am not unhappy with my spa. The problems started when we ordered the stacked stone in their office with Shawn. We ordered Aspen from Coronado Stone, Shawn filled out the order, we reviewed it and signed the order. Great you say...well, when their workers arrived at my house to install the stone, I looked at the boxes and indeed they said Aspen by Coronado Stone. And off the work I went... Aspen has various shades of grey in it and it would go well with my gray pavers...When I returned from work, the stone was as red as the Rocks in Sedona. From a distance it looked just ok, but when I got closer to inspect the workmanship, Wow! what a hack job! there was mortar sipping out between the stone on all three sides. Instead of installing the stone all the way up to the Travertine Cap, he just shot mortar in the gaps on all three sides. The installation looked absolutely terrible! Then it gets worse! The workers failed to cover my new pavers and they dripped mortar everywhere! Shawn did come out and agreed that his worker did a terrible job, But he tried to make excuses for him. Nonsense! Shawn offered to have the worker come back out and clean it up, I said it could not be done without making a mess of the spa surround. This brings us back to the Red Stone, I originally thought Shawn ordered it wrong, he did not. Then we thought it was a mis pack by the factory. Shawn talked to Az. Stone...Ross talked to Az. Stone and even to Coronado Stone. I even brought some of the red stone up to Az. Stone, the rep said it sure was red...Neither company would credit Sedona Spa the $400.00, thus Sedona Spa's would not credit me. This brings us back to the terrible installation, it was my opinion Sedona Spa's should credit me $400.00 for the terrible installation, which I ended up having Sedona Spa's remove the red stone. I spoke to Shawn a number of times about who should be responsible for the terrible installation, he thought I should go up to Az Stone and pick something out. I said I would pay the difference between the Original $400.00 and the new stone, Shawn agreed. The new stone cost $900.00, so I would owe $500.00 towards the new stone. Sedona Spa's would comp the materials and labor to replace the stone. Great you say... Ross got involved and Shawn changed his story. They didn't want to do business with Az. Stone anymore, so I went to DCI stone in Phoenix...By the way DCI was great! Their designer assisted us with selecting stone and we did. The new stone was $565.00, so my portion would be $165.00. Nope! Ross and Shawn spun this so I was going to pay for the new stone plus material and pickup and delivery. I said it was Sedona Spa's responsibility to replace the stone at their expense, because their worker did such a hack job and the stone had to be removed. Ross was trying to shirk his professional responsibility to make things right. NO NO NO! Not Ross. We had many emails but no resolution, the conversation was heated at times. He even wanted me to pay the money up front, prior to doing anything. I refused to pay him a dime! This may have been 1/100 1/1000 or 1/2000 issue. The bottom line is it should have been resolved in my favor. I spent over $14,000 on this spa! all up front I might add, so I had no leverage. I would never do business with these guys again and I would warn those of you out there, if you do business with Sedona Spa's do not pay them up front wait until the job is done to your complete satisfaction, then write the final check. Write your own contract so you have protection, Ross Herman is unprofessional to say the least. read more

During the beginning of the pandemic we ordered our spa. Every month it was pushed back another month or two... emails ignored, calls ignored.. finally was told supply are short. Okay. About 9 months later we were scheduled again. So they were out of the shell we wanted and the outter slate rock we wanted to match out back yard. So, we settle. Firstly, my bathtubs water comes out more powerful than these jets!! We did get to select how we wanted the shell inserted.. about 3 months into it, the bulb dies. Tech comes out and says he can't get to the light bc the shell is not installed correctly to allow him to replace it!!! Why would they tell us this when we were told to select the shell sitting?!?! THEN he tells us he'll have to drill into the other side of the tub to put a new light fixture in!!! So, now I have a dead light fixture that is an eye sore.. and a light that is on the STEP and half the size of the original one! This is what you get for $15k?!?! I would NOT recommend this place. Don't get me started on the permit you're supposed to get before you get the tub. Never owned a spa, maybe they should've told me. Want till I tried to get more construction done our new build did I find out.. Ross says sorry, we don't deal with permits. What in the actual hell ?!?! read more

I greatly appreciated him reaching out to me to make things right and letting me explain what happened. Thanks again Ross for the great customer service you are providing and I will be calling if I have any more issues with my Spa. Had a great experience when we first purchased our spa. After less then a year the main pump went out. Sedona spa sent out someone to replace the pump since it was under warranty. What they didn't tell me was they were replacing it with a refurbished pump that has now started leaking. Turns out they don't repair leaking pumps they only replace them and are charging me $650 for a new pump and install. Although replacing it with a refurbished pump again would be much cheaper I was not given that choice even though the repair guy mentioned it. I love the spa, but I will never go through sedona spa again to have them service their own products. read more

Sedona Spas remodeled my existing hot tub area by building a new cement block structure with travertine top and stack stone walls. The crew was very conscientious of not damaging anything around my house and most importantly did an outstanding job building the hot tub surround. Once the hot tub was installed, everything worked perfectly. It was exactly what we ordered. Shawn is customer service focused and came back a couple of times just to resolve a couple minor issues. Where do I start, other than communicating with this company is horrible. Ross Herman, who I was speaking with doesn't respond, and I'm trying to get a quote?! After a week he responds to my email that he's been busy but would be happy to send someone out to get me a real quote...and then absolutely nothing. Sent an email back after another week of waiting to not bother. Now imagine...how they'd be if something was wrong in construction or after you've had your spa installed. I shopped around and couldn't find what I wanted and then a friend of mine, who is in the pool business, suggested Sedona Spas, and I'm so glad he did!!! Didn't have a terrific experience with his service 17 years ago and thought we'll give him a second chance in case his product improved but he didn't care to take the time to come and gives a quote. Sedona spa's is a local business and I always try to buy local whenever I can. We were a bit nervous to buy a Spa from an independent company but, it actually proved to be a much better quality, experience, and value. We've had a Sedona spa in our home's backyard for over 6 years now. The service from Sedona spa's has always been excellent and prompt and the spa has been trouble free for 6 years. The quality of the workmanship and spa experience is excellent. The model we got had two independent pumps so we have plenty of power and flexibility. We really enjoy and appreciate the spa. Went in to choose what we wanted and everything else was done via phone/email. VERY easy process. Their delivery service was outstanding!!! They were clean, worked quickly, and gave a very good orientation on how to use our tub. We used it the same day they delivered it!! The filtration times are quiet, we don't even notice it running. Have had a recent issue with my spa not heating. One of my family members happens to be a licensed electrician, so they were able to diagnose that the heating element wasn't pulling enough volts in order heat the spa (was only pulling 110 instead of the 220 needed). So concluded that a coil may need to be replaced. I proceeded to call Sedona spa's to have a brief conversation with a technician about my issue in hopes he could let me know whats wrong and then come out to fix the spa. The tech was not in, so I was advised to send over a detailed email with pictures so the tech can take a quick look at it prior to coming out to fix the issue. 3 weeks later, still no word from the technician. i called back down for an update and spoke to a guy named Dennis. He said that it would be best to schedule the tech to come out to the property to diagnose the problem for $110. He wouldn't be able to fix the problem, just diagnose it and then would have to come back out to fix and charge another trip fee. The whole point of having the tech look at the detailed email with pictures is to confirm the issue that I am 99% sure we have figured out, so then he can come out and fix the issue instead of making two trips and charging two trip charges. I am all about buying local and supporting local companies, but I would steer clear of this company as when you have an issue, they will do what they can to maximize their profits on it. Im ok with paying them to fix it obviously, but makes absolutely no sense that the tech would not look at pictures, my email, or have a phone conversation with me prior to coming out, but rather charging $110 just to come out and have the same conversation with me that i would have with him on the phone. Have only had the spa a few years and it is already breaking down (we have had to fix many things besides the heater and we take great care of the spa). read more
