We have had a weekly pool service for several years and after coming home to a green pool twice in the last 6 months we are now ONLY using Leslie's pools for water testing, and professional help in clearing, maintaining and balancing our pool water. I have nothing but positive things to say about the Leslie's pools on East Indian School Road. The staff and management at this location are focused on quality customer service and not on just trying to sell you products. In particular I want to say thank you to Jayden, the young man who helped us on that first day. When we came in we were feeling pretty desperate with a green pool and a pool service that had done nothing to remedy this disaster in the 5 days since we had returned home from a short holiday trip. Jayden's calm and professional manner took the edge off our frustration as he carefully outlined the steps we would be taking to reclaim our pool from swamp to blue oasis! This young man knows his pool chemistry and the art of balancing the water correctly. He has a thorough understanding of the science of pool water and the local Phoenix environmental factors affecting our pool. Each subsequent trip we have looked forward to Jayden's assistance. He is definitely as asset to this organization and we enjoy his gentle and friendly banter mixed with the professional step-by-step, (detailed) "prescription" we are given as we get back to sparkly clear water. The other employees at this location are all wonderful to work with but we are so impressed with this great young man, Jayden, I wanted to be sure the Organization understands what a treasure they have with him. Horrible, Horrible, Horrible Customer Service. I purchased a part based upon my model and brand. Received an item that was 4 times the size of what I needed. Contacted Chat 4 times, each time they said wait 24-48 hours for a return label. I asked them to call someone to find out why my label isn't showing up, the person kept telling me to call. I already called, no one calls back. I spent over an hour with a Chat person who couldn't figure out how to email me my label. I even left a message for the CEO. I prior had ordered all my supplies through Leslie's and now they have lost my business. Inept. read more

WORST customer experience ever! One of your technicians came out to service our pool. We needed another part. So, instead of ordering it and scheduling another appointment on the spot, he told US to do it. We talked to several customer service reps who we could barely understand. They referred us to a "pro" store. It took 5+ phone calls because they gave us several locations that no longer exist. When we finally got through to someone at a "pro" store, it took several phone calls to find out if they had the part, and if not, when they could get it. This is a lesson in how NOT to treat customers! read more

Shout out to Michael. He helped me last year get my pool from green to clean and kept it that way all summer with his advise. I dropped by to get my water checked by Jayden, and while I was waiting Michael stopped by to make sure I had been helped. I immediately recogbnized him and was glad to see he is still part of the Leslie's Pool Team. Leslies - we know pools. That's their slogan. I decided to call them to ask if they knew any fixes to reprogram a control panel that they sell, their only response was "check the internet". So, that's where I now buy supplies - the internet. When retailers wonder why it's so hard for them to stay in business, it's because they forget to offer the one thing the internet should be less effective with - personal service. Second time with Leslies on Indian School with a less then good service so need to move on despite the fact they are the closest and have good inventory. read more

HAZARDOUS CHEMICAL PRACTICES. I just had a new pool installed and found Leslie's on Chaparral Rd in Scottsdale right near my home. I am treating my pool with liquid chlorine. After purchasing, I noticed the seal on the bottles had been broken and that chlorine had dripped all over the box and crusted onto the sides of the bottle. The bottle had obviously been compromised in shipment as it was also not full. I figured other than my skin touching all of the crusted chemicals, it was not a big deal. This happened again a second time and then a third time where the chlorine destroyed my clothes from inadvertently touching the side of the bottle while carrying it. I thought I would notify the store that the leaking chemicals were problematic and might pose a health risk to it's customers etc.. [Contact with chlorine gas can severely burn and irritate the eyes and skin upon contact, possibly causing permanent damage.] I spoke with a staffer named Brain who said no problem and to come back to the store with all the Chlorine where Dominick K. (the store manger) would "take care" of the situation. After shlepping all of the unsealed chlorine back to the store on my day off, I was told by Dominick, "once the chemicals leave the store , Leslie's has no responsibility in the matter." - Remember these gallons are sealed in cardboard containers with no vision into them While in the store during the "inspection" one of the bottles was so crusted, that neither I nor Leslies could even get the cap off. After insistence from Brian (staffer), Manager Dominick K. reluctantly exchanged this bottle only. Dominick seemed quite proud. He said I could have knocked over the bottles myself (on my 1mile ride from home) and that Leslie's needed to protect itself with these tough policy measures. Then they admitted this has been a long standing problem with the supplier HASA and that it extended to previous issues with muriatic acid as well. They said they get damaged shipments from them all of the time and they suggested I should call them. They said they often complain, but that Leslie's Pools has to "eat it" and that they have no recourse. No recourse other than parsing it off to their customers that is. This kind of customer service always comes from the top down. Stay away from these Bozos. They do not care about correcting the problem or the health and safety of your family. read more

Amazing staff! Scott the manager, and Michael were so great! Being a 1st time homeowner with a pool they truly were genuine and patient with me. They did one on one teaching and repaired my pool cleaner and repaired it for me while I was there at no cost for labor, they only charged for parts. They also analyzed the pool water for free and gave me a detailed break-down of the nine key elements to having my pool remain safe for me and my loved ones. They even went out of their way to walk me through a poolside issue and I was able to fix on my own with some great guidance! Now that is truly AMAZING service! Scott has a really great personality and you can tell he really enjoys what he does. Thanks for teaching me all about my pool cleaner, Michael! I learned a lot from you! I was desperate- we moved to a house with a pool in December and everything was fine. My wife had skimmed a few times for fun, but we hadn't really touched the pool. Then, during a week in March the pool went from clear to green to swampy. Our backyard smelled like a lake & there were mosquitos & other insects around the water. I tried getting a pool service to come out, but their hours were inconvenient with my work hours and none of them could tell me what time they would come over. One guy said maybe he could help. He suggested I dump 6 lbs of shock in your pool & call him in a week. So, I headed to Leslie's. I figured I would buy some shock & then spend a bunch of money anyway getting a pool service to come clear my pool water. When I arrived, Anthony opened the door for me. I told him my pool situation & he told me everything I needed to do to clear my pool. He was so helpful. He gave me a cheat sheet and helped me buy everything I needed. He walked me through the process and answered all of my questions. I had to stop by the shop a few times, but within 2 weeks the pool was crystal clear. I cannot believe it. We started swimming in it two weeks ago. I go in regularly for advice & to get my pool water tested for free. Michael always has free goodies for my three-year-old daughter & Scott is like my pool doctor. Leslie's has made taking care of my pool my favorite chore. read more

Leslie's has become my go to for solutions. No over sell environment lik a home show, better suite of products, free in store service (just cover the parts), My cleaner did not need parts just adjustments. This pool is over 40 years old and required new pump, filter an complete valve replumbing. I want to like and support the local spots, but companies like Leslie's Pool Supplies make this so tough. Their staff is fairly knowledgeable, especially if you find yourself talking to a manager, which is great. However, expect to pay very high prices on anything you buy at one of these stores. I will pay up to buy local, but not prices that are double or more than what you can pay online. Manager wouldn't show me water test results because I told him I bought most of my chlorine at other stores. He told me their chlorine was a proprietary formula and others would affect their test results. I love being lied to. NaCl is the same wherever you go you jerk. He finally read off the results as I asked him one by one. I ended up buying a case of chlorine because I needed it at the time. He also repeated the same scare tactic of claiming my phosphates were so incredibly high that I must have algae blooms all the time. The normal employees here are usually so nice and friendly but the managers are such jerks. I know it's their pushy business model coming from the top down but it right up there with used car salesman tactics. Time to change the business model or stop advertising free water checks just to sell a bunch of useless chemicals that will just mess your bodies up. read more

Few days ago i decided ( big mistake) to see what Leslie pool was all about. Our pool vacuum need it some repair so we decided to drop it off. We were told that someone will call us the next day with the diagnosis and the quote. 6:15 pm next day, nobody call us so when I finally decided to call them, they told me that nobody looked at our vacuum due to lack of personal? Didn't offer any apologies whatsoever and look like I was bothering him . I work in customer service and apparently Leslie pool doesn't know what that means!!! When someone finally call me 2 days later!!!!! , they said the vacuum need it about $120 worth of repair!! we picked it up and went somewhere else were they fixed it for $40!!! I mean $80 cheaper!! I will never go to Leslie pool ever again and I will spread the words about their practices read more

So done with Leslie's. I have gone there in the past but never really happy. Now I am done. After buying a basket for my skimmer for $25 and going home to Amazon and ordering the exact same one (not an off brand but a Hayward) for 9.99 with free shipping. I am done. They just rip you off. I went in to pick up some Algicide for the pool (my pool man sent me to get it) and the man behind the counter would not sell me any unless I bought $175 of OTHER chemicals. I went down the street to AZ Pool Supplies and received very kind instruction and told I did not need all those other chemicals. I would highly recommend AZ Pool Supplies, neighborhood store with great employees. Very helpful. read more

Anything you need they will​ go grab it for you, The priced are higher​​ than online stores but sometimes you just need to pay a little more service and answers to your questions. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. I'm a new pool owner and came back from a long weekend to neon-green. I went to Leslie's with a water sample and they were incredibly helpful. It was obvious they knew exactly what was happening and prescribed a process in terms a newbie could understand. I stopped back in a couple of times after, and they were more than happy to help each time. I'm INCREDIBLY happy to say that a little over a week later, my pool is crystal clear again. We live in Florida but were directed to this location when calling the general company with help for our pool. The technician came at the right time and was here for roughly four hours including when he left to go pick a part he deemed we needed. The part he bought was not the right one and in the end he basically told us he wasn't authorized to fix what was needed. In addition he managed to knock our pool cleaner into the pool water that wasn't clean enough to enter to retrieve it. So basically we paid $133.00 for nothing. That was the fee for the service call and "trip charge". Never again. read more

Recently I was having problems programing my new pool pump that I purchased from Leslie's pools back in the fall. I went in last week and Jessica offered to come by and help me. I can't tell you how much that meant to me. She saw what I was doing and showed me how to reprogram the pump to run longer in the summer. In this day and age of customer service not many businesses would even offer such an accomodation. I can't say enough good about my store on T'bird and 35th Ave. Dave the manager is very helpful he is full of great hints and suggestions. I for one will not go anywhere else for my pool supplies, water testing and help in keeping my pool looking great !! read more

Buyer beware. They sold me too much chemical when I recently had to refill my pool. They told me that I needed two full bottles of a certain chemical. However, after only using half of one of the bottles, the numbers tested fine. They would not agree to take back the unopened product citing their "corporate policy". How convenient that they oversold and then would not accept a return. Michael was extremely rude and unprofessional. read more

I ordered something from them online on April 19. Never received it or a shipping confirmation. Called and left a message, sent an email to customer service. No response. Finally a couple weeks later got through to a customer service rep after an hour on hold who put out a tracking inquiry on my order. Said it would take 5 business days to get a response and nothing. Called 8 business days later (May 29th at this point) to cancel my order and get my money back.it took 45 minutes on hold to find that this would take an additional 3 days to confirm it was never shipped and then up to 7 days after that to receive a credit. Just ridiculous. I have very little confidence that I will get my refund without calling in 2 weeks. Hopefully I'm proven wrong. Very disorganized and unprofessional. Not even a sorry from them for all of the hassle and total hours of waiting on the phone and days of checking my email for some kind of response. If you have another option for your outdoor needs, I highly recommend you DO NOT CHOOSE LESLIE's. Also, if you have an inquiry, do not email them or leave a voice message like they suggest because that's a joke. They will not get back to you. You have to sit on hold. read more

Let me start off by saying I took on the challenge of wanting to understand all the intricacies of how my brand new pool works with the plan to later on down the road have a weekly pool resource handle it for me possibly. I wanted to be able to be able to handle almost any instance I was faced with vs dependent on someone else to maintain the health of my pool. With that said, Scott and Michael are nothing shy of absolutely amazing. From their customer service greeting as soon as you walk in the door to their in depth knowledge of how everything works, what to do when faced with certain situations, and also not just trying to upsell me on all their products, which many of you may know pool maintenance can get rather expensive over time. They took the time to walk me through the purpose of each chemical, what to do if you want your pool to look absolutely stunning for guests/whatever the case may be and post treatment as well as what to do if you don't plan to use it much in the next few weeks but want maintain good health without breaking the bank. It's safe to say I plan on going to these guys for all my future pool needs! read more

I went here with some of my pool water for them to test it and brought my pool cleaner for them to look at because it wasn't working right. After walking around for 15 min someone finally came to me and said hello. They said they were the assistant manager. I have a little green in my pool and asked if they could help me. He said I could leave my cleaner and he would get back to be in a day or two. I had to go do something before I came to the store and he said the water was too old and he can't test it. I took everything and left. I went down the street to another pool store and they fixed my cleaner at no cost and now my pool looks great with what they told me to do after testing my pool water. read more

I was a Leslie's customer for nearly 30 years. I've purchased chemicals, covers, water bags etc. I have spent my last cent there because of their refusal to honor a 1 year warranty on a Hayward 1 HP pump that I purchased on-line and shipped from the address 2005 Indian School Road. The local Leslie's store refuses to honor the warranty because I purchased the pump on-line in April of 2017. Only after my insistence did a Leslie's tech come and look and tell me, yes the pump isn't working.His boss told him that Leslie's would not replace the pump because a new pump would have to come from their inventory. Do not trust Leslie's. They are unprofessional on scheduling and installing any kind of equipment. Just wasted almost $2000 in pump and filter had them come out to install on a Friday since they said it was free install, they come out just to quote me a labor charge of almost 100 bucks an hr. And it's going to take 3hrs. I still got the hole dug out for them, he changed some pipes not all since he didn't come with all pipe fitting, using some old existing pipe. He said he would be back on monday to install the equipment. I called back almost all week with no answer from the technician. Called corporate and they will not help me with this matter... Now my water is turning green and still no pump or filter to turn the water. Corporate will not help me to turn it back to normal so now I have to spend more for there negligence on chemicals. So you have just been worn about how Leslie's works. read more
