Absolutely Amazing!…read more Not only did Dolphin Pools meet our expectations, they blew them completely out of the water (pun intended). I don't use words like spectacular, incredible, amazing, and awesome lightly. The process of building a pool is groundbreaking, in the literal sense. The timeline for this process took roughly 3 months from the dig to jumping into the water for a swim. Allow me to remind you that the process is never going to be perfect for such a large project. There are many stages to this massive commitment, such as designing, mapping, digging, plumbing, electrical lines, concrete, travertine, city permits, dealing with HOAs (and the list goes on). None of this is going to go without delays, corrections, ordering additional parts, weather issues, etc. That said, the experience with Dolphin Pools was nearly flawless every step of the way. My wife and I did our research, and based on Google/Yelp reviews, we decided to contact Dolphin Pools. From what I understand, there are a number of designers, but we had the great fortune of having Drew Siler assist us with designing our dream pool. From the moment we met Drew, we were instantly impressed and quickly moved forward with the project. Not only is Drew kind, honest, and thoughtful, but very professional. We had a plan, and Drew walked us through every detail with 3D pool design renderings. He listened to our wants, but always kept us grounded with what was possible within our property and budget. Drew made himself available at all times to answer our questions and continued to do so through the entire process. He told us it was possible to have the pool completed by my wife's birthday in September if everything went smoothly, and we made it. He is truly a man of his word and we couldn't thank him enough. I have to mention the excellent staff at Dolphin Pools as well. I would like to thank Nick, our Field Project Manager, who managed the many crews throughout the project. Also to the team managers Katie, Brenda, Laurie, Maria, and Tania that kept us informed through text, emails, and phone calls every step of the way. The crews included Hagarty Electric, Scholz Rebar, V Shotcrete Construction, Superior Pool Plastering, ACE Pool Repair and so many others. If you decide on getting a pool built, you should definitely consider Dolphin Pools. It's nerve-racking, noisy, dusty, and will inconvenience you for months, but I would do it all over again to get the perfect dream pool that we envisioned. We highly recommend Dolphin Pools, and 10 stars is not even close to enough!

After doing some research and visiting several stores, we ended the day at Sunset spas. We met with Mitch and immediately felt at ease and not pressured to take advantage of their Black Friday sales. I know this is long but it may help you when it comes to making the right decision on your…read morepurchase. I've tried to work this out with Sunset Spa, but they have decided to ignore all my emails and calls, including Dave Rempfer the owner of Sunset Spa. NOTE: The ROC of Arizona has no licensed on file for Sunset Spa to perform work on Spa's. This is what the ROC of AZ told me, so now I am having that investigated by the ROC. Before they work on your spa ask for their license number. Also, get it in writing from them that they will provide you service, if you need it after your warranty runs out. Do not take their word for it (see attached email where they advised not servicing out of warranty spas). The company was okay until they damaged my spa after doing a repair on it and refuse to correct it. They want me to clean up the damage or pay them to do the work. I tried to work this out with Matt from the Goodyear Store who referred me to Sunset Spa's Customer Service Team, who refused to take ownership of what they did to my spa, instead they state its Water Chemistry that caused the issue. I've been using the same water for 5 years. The issue is they came out and did a repair that I brought to their attention 2 years ago when I was under warranty. They kept giving me chemicals and telling me to try this, than finally they took ownership of the issue and sent a tech to fix it. This tech used a Blue Glue Adhesive in the repair process, which was huge because after 2 years the problem kept getting worse. After the repair was done the spa had several leaks, which I took video of but cannot attach here. They sent the tech back out, she repaired the leak with a Blue substance. A couple days later my spa has blue particles all over the place that are coming out from the jets and then I felt the inside of the spa and 100% of the spa include inside and outside of all the jets with something that feels like a low grade sandpaper, however per another company I was told its the adhesive they used and that she filled it immediately after repairing it. Since no one would respond I then went into the store in Goodyear and Asked Matt if I could speak to Dave the owner. Matt refused to give me any contact for Dave and said he would have Dave call me. I forwarded all my correspondence on this matter to Matt's email address and told Matt Please have him call me asap. No contact from Dave, so I reported them to the BBB at https://www.bbb.org/us/az Finally Dave Calls me, but its not to fix what they did, I don't even think Dave truly realizes that this is a real problem from the repair. All Dave would say to me over and over again "You reported me to the BBB. . OMG" over and over. When I realize his call was not to help me but to beat me up, I said "Yes Dave. What did you expect me to do? No one would return my call or emails. My spa has damage from the repair you all did". However, all Dave could say was, "I'm going to sue you in Small Claims Court". I then told Dave, "you cannot sue the truth. I have proof". Dave than said "I don't care I'm responding to this BBB notice and writing it off as a loss". I am just shocked at how closed off he was to "we have an issue here". Their OWN Customer Service team (see email screenshot) told me to use Not 1 but 2 FULL BOTTLES of PH DOWN and to wait 2 days before draining it, cleaning it and refilling it. They state in their email to expect Blue Flaking. If you look up what PH DOWN is used for, PH DOWN is used to remove Glue Adhesive and if you look up what color the adhesive is that Spa Companies use, It's BLUE. So, Sunset Spa is 100% telling me how to remove the glue that was used in the repair process, BUT than telling me the Water that I've been using in this SPA for 5 years with NEVER having an issue with is the problem. I am shocked at how closed minded Dave is on this issue. This is the Truth. My problem with me doing the work and not them is that PH DOWN Removes Glue, so if they used the wrong stuff to put all the plumbing/piping back together on my spa than what happens if I do the work and it leaks because PH DOWN soaked for 2 days dissolving it. Just beware. If Dave wants to rethink this and have a civil conversation as opposed to yelling at me for reporting to the BBB and threaten to sue me over the truth, than I'm open to it, but if he can't see the problem and own it, well we will not get anywhere. Very sad it came to this. Just know if you have an issue and if the company will not work with you, you can report to the BBB at: https://www.bbb.org/us/az Also the Attorney Generals Office at: https://www.azag.gov/ to file a consumer complaint. I am shocked that Dave decided to bully and threaten me with Small Claims Court, but you can't sue the Truth. The truth is on my side and my spa in its current condition is the proof.

My 5-year-old spa developed a…read morestructural crack, which independent inspectors, including a licensed contractor, attributed to poor installation and a lack of proper foundational support. Despite our findings, Ross Herman repeatedly dismissed it as a "surface crack." He then blamed the issue on our pre-existing pergola and water drainage system, which were in place prior to installation and never flagged as a problem. I was particularly concerned to learn that Arizona law requires an ROC license for projects of this size, which Sedona Spas lacked at the time of our installation. I filed a complaint with the ROC, which resulted in a warning letter being sent to the owner. The advertised 20-year shell structure warranty was also misleading; the actual warranty is prorated and very limited. As our spa's structure is compromised and must be removed, I have requested a refund four times, but have been denied. This is the worst product and service experience I have ever had."

They replaced our aged-out pool surface from plaster to micro pebble which included treating the concrete and adding a curative to the pebble mix. They installed hand-set iridescent step markers and new directionals, an aerator fitting, safety drain covers, a hand rail and new tile at the water line. It was quite the project and they did it within the projected timeline. Jessica pleasantly took our original call, setting the tone at the beginning and arranged sales rep Brandon to come to the house. He truly embodies the Business Development Ninja title on his business card. He impressed us with his demeaner, transparency and thoroughness at our initial meeting and in their showroom/design center where we chose our colors from plenty of options for the new surface, tiles, handrail and step markers. Project Manager Shawn updated us nearly daily on what to expect and when. As busy as he was, he promptly answered our questions and concerns in detail with good humor and respect and kept everything on schedule which transpired as he described. Massive respect to Zach & Richard & Juan and everyone in the chip-out, tile & surface install crews who each worked diligently throughout the unseasonably hot days. Afterwards, Chad gave a helpful orientation on caring for our pool and its new surface and surprised us with some thoughtful gifts. When it's time to tackle the decking or replacing equipment, we'll be calling Barefoot. We've already called for monthly pool service and look forward to meeting our pool tech Britney who will no doubt impress us as well. They weren't the cheapest of the quotes we took, but we definitely believe they were the best. Highly recommend! (cross-posted) Edited to add a special thank you to Krystle for her prompt assistance and reaching out.

Saturn Pool Company - Custom Pool Design

Saturn Pool Company

(18 reviews)

John and Cindy Kennedy from Cave Creek:…read more We decided several years ago to install a swimming pool, but were usure of the design we wanted or what the layout of our backyard would be. So we had the luxury of time and hosted at least 10 pool companies to our home to solicit pool designs, and bids. Our very last bid was SATURN POOLS owned by Nathan Green. Rarely do you expect a major construction project to complete without some issues or problems. In this build, the rarity occurred. From start to finish the build process was flawless, and the end result was a custom pool designed by Nathan Green based on a concept my wife related to him that he conceptualized for us. Our pool has literally taken our breath away and our custom designed water feature has become the envy of several neighbors (custom designed by Nathan Green). Quality, craftmanship, and materials were all top quality right down to the standard tile selections we opted for (would have been upgrades with any other company). So here are my takeaways from Saturn Pools and Nathan Green: 1. Saturn pools is what I would refer to as a low volume "boutique" pool company. The focus is not to build 1000 pools in a year, rather my observation is more that Saturn wants to build XX number of high quality pools. There was no high pressure process. Nathan presented his idea, we assessed it, and ultimately went with it. 2. Saturn pools does not weigh the pricing down with pool salesman fees, or additional fees for contractors to pad the bottom line etc. From start to finish you deal with one man, Nathan Green, the owner. He designs the pool, is the project manager for the build, and shows up on the job site regularly to check on the work being performed. It was not out of the ordinary to see him actually out there with a shovel himself. Hands on owner-I liked that. 3. Nathan was approachable, and always either a text message, email, or phone call away. When I came up with looney ideas that I thought would be great add-ons, he politely told me the pros and cons to my idea, and the reasoning behind his thoughts. He also would incorporate an idea if he thought it was beneficial for me. So he helped me not make mistakes he knew I would regret later during my pool ownership. 4. Saturn Pools/Nathan Green also, in my observation, cherry picked the contractors he used. I actually spoke at length to the excavator who was not only courteous, but wanted me aware and informed as to what he was doing-they hit granite so it was a hard dig. I had no idea what it was, but he took me outside and clearly I could see what he was talking about. The tile setter was focused, and the decking crew didn't mess around-they got it done, and were very good in their quality. So my summation on that is that you aren't getting a 1000 pool per year company grab anyone you can to be a sub-contractor. Rather, with Nathan you're getting his preferred contracting crews, crews he has established reciprocal business relationships with that he trusts. 5. Professionalism and customer treatment-outstanding. Nathan never pressured me for money up front etc. Rather there were pay points associated with each phase of the build. He or his office would reach out to me and let me know the amount of the payment needed. Easy Peezy! So in summary, if I moved and had to build another pool, the only company I would reach out to would be Saturn Pools and Nathan Green and forgo alternate pool companies. I highly recommend Saturn Pools as a builder, and again, the process was flawless from start to finish. As I said before, the quality and materials I gained by using Saturn Pools easily would have cost me $20,000 more due to commissions and added fees the larger cookie cutter companies upcharge for. So not only did I get a value (still wasn't cheap) but I got more for my money. Keep in mind this is a small local company so it takes a little more time to build-not much more, but you'll be happy if you opt for Saturn as your pool builder. Best wishes in your pool hunt, John and Cindy Kennedy

Prior to our move, I contacted several pool companies to get an idea of cost and time to build. Only a few made a personal visit to assess the size and layout of our yard, and others didn't return my calls or emails. Friends of ours were very pleased with their pool, built by Saturn Pools, so we decided to reach out to the owner, Nate Green. At our first meeting, we knew that Saturn Pools was the one for us. Pricing was right in line with other estimates, and the payment points were transparent and as quoted. Nate guided us in every aspect of our pool design, features, budget and estimated time of completion, which ultimately came out to be ahead of schedule. He directed us appropriately if a design or feature would not be cost effective in the long term. His communication through the entire build was excellent, and he was always available and responsive to any questions, even months after our pool was completed. Nate was regularly on-site to make sure that all work was completed to his specifications. We are thrilled with our new pool, and have received many compliments and requests for the name of the pool builder. We have friends who are using Saturn Pools based upon our recommendation, and they are equally happy with their choice.
