I had another company cancel on me after being an hour and a half late to pick up my stuff. I called these guys and they got to the pickup location not an hour later, on a Sunday. They got everything done incredibly fast, and moved some couches through some very tough spots. Very friendly guys, deserved every dollar I paid and more. Not only do I highly recommend these guys, but its hard to describe just how good of a job they did. 2 hours for a 1 bedroom + kitchen move, and we stopped at a third location to pick up the couches. Two guys descended upon my apartment (on time) and packed everything into a truck at lightening speed. These guys moved everything efficiently and safely into my new condo. They even finished early making my bill appx 3/4 of their initial estimate. It was projected to be a 4 hour move and they finished in about 3. This is an update after the initial review on quoting phase. The movers showed up on time and with a huge truck (24 ft), which was more than sufficient. They also assured to notify me along the way prior to their arrival. Curtis, who was the lead that day kept me informed of their ETA. They arrived at 1:30pm and made quick work of moving my two bedrooms contents to the two downstairs bedrooms. On top of a 200+ lbs massage chair. No scratches or dings were left on the walls. They also were nice enough to lay down moving blankets, but also took off their shoes while in the house. Most movers are not that considerate and would keep their work shoes on and track dirt everywhere. We just went through an extensive remodel. In addition, the second mover - John assisted me in doing a make shift install of my daughters mirror on her dresser. I lost the struts and bolts that attached the mirror to the base. So I grabbed some wood screws and baseboards and - poof it was reattached. My wife was thrilled. Happy wife - happy life. He didn't complain at all with the unforeseen work. We were done with everything in 60 minutes. I had some extra furniture going to consignment, a large sectional (3 piece), lounge chair, and 2 large dressers. We arrived at the consignment place and began to unload. The owner and staff were unclear that the furniture must be in perfect shape, we sent very high resolution pics but they changed their mind. So we had to load a couple of things back to donate. Whoever is going to Goodwill will get a gently used micro fiber 3000$ sectional for bottom price. The movers didn't complain and offered me a reasonable solution, they would donate it Goodwill or Value Village next to their business. And just added 20 min for the unload. As they could see my wife was upset with the incompetent workers (Yelp review forthcoming to those a-holes). It actually took longer at the consignment place due to their back and forth decisions on the various furniture pieces. All told it came to 440 (+tip and trip fees minus discounts - see my Yelp tip) for 4 hours of work. In this area, that's a bargain for two movers + truck. I now see why they are the only movers in King County with 5 stars (and with more than 50+ reviews). I've moved a lot and these guys are nice, honest, courteous, and professional. If I have to move, these are the only folks I'm going to call. Look no further - regardless of job size. You will be glad you selected them. Guaranteed. read more

Incredible job. Kelly and Anthony are the strong movers anyone needs. I had a fire proof file cabinet that is quite heavy and they amazingly moved it with ease. I consolidated a couple different storage units and these guys operated through the maze of my day very well and had great positive attitudes. Great moving experience! Owner was extremely communicative from quote to moving date. Moving team showed up at 8AM sharp, were professional and hardworking. Based on my load I was recommended three movers and an estimated six hour move time. These guys nailed it and were very careful with my stuff and the homes. Also, their hourly rate is very competitive and they charge a flat fuel fee. No BS start the meter to and from mover's place of business at hourly rate. I hired Seattle Select to load and unload our moving truck for a local move. Even before the move their customer service was OUTSTANDING. The seller of the house we were moving to was playing games so the dates we needed movers was complicated and changed, first to a different day and then to the loading of the truck being one day and the unloading being another (both changes pretty last minute). Through all of this the owner was extremely laid back, assuring me it was absolutely no problem and that they'd happily come whenever we now needed them (even though the unload was now Friday evening). Their laid back attitude was a HUGE relief in a potentially extremely stressful situation. The day of loading the truck the guys gave me a call to let me know they were on their way. They arrived and were very polite and professional. Because they didn't have their truck (it was being repainted and I had hired them without it) they'd forgotten to bring pads/blankets (usually in the truck), so they called their boss and he drove some out to the job while they loaded boxes. No time was lost. They worked tirelessly and emptied my house. I was amazed at how careful and skilled they were at maneuvering my big, heavy furniture through my narrow hallways and curving staircase. I don't believe they hit a wall once! We recently had other movers in when we replaced carpet to move our furniture all upstairs one day and all downstairs the other, and while they were careful there was definitely banging. Great job! We hired them on a recommendation of a friend who has used them in the past. Came out a little more expensive than we had anticipated due to some unannounced construction at our new condo. We probably could have booked two guys instead of three. They arranged the furniture in our new place very thoughtfully without needing much instruction. Nothing came out dented, broken, or scratched. My husband was there with the movers as I spent some time away with our baby. They were already out of our old place in less than three hours, and I received a text from my husband that everything was going well about two hours into it so I could relax while I was away. They called us about two hours earlier than our scheduled time ready to go, but we were not ready and our baby was sleeping, they understood and came back our previously scheduled time without making us feel guilty. Packing crew, service and rates were great. Only caveat is that I had to get my own boxes but it was worth it to get their rates and saved some money by buying my own boxes, tape, packing paper, etc. They did provide wardrobe boxes, moving blankets and dollies which was very helpful. Moving crew was great as well and helped packing up all the stuff that we needed overnight (toiletries, linens, etc.). We made two trips due to all the stuff that we had and given that we were only moving a couple of blocks away. I had just had my carpets cleaned in my new house and they were very accomodating to take their shoes off and have an alternating inside and outside crew. They helped make moving a much more enjoyable experience and I would definitely use then again and recommend them. read more

They were quick and efficient and as I laid out my plans for the day, they completely understood and worked towards that goal perfectly. Made a request to move online, and was promptly called back to schedule with Mike. Was supposed to put a deposit down online, but because of the hell that is moving, I kept forgetting. Mike was super nice & called to remind me - I appreciated the follow-up. The day-of, Pete & Jake showed up on-time & ready to rock & roll! They had all of the needed supplies, and totally wrapped up my mirrors and art in moving blankets. They also moved my hanging clothes without wardrobe boxes! I was in awe. Both were so kind & actually quite hilarious. I enjoyed chatting with them as they did the heavy lifting. They even ended the move by taking a bunch of my stuff to Goodwill for me. Everything was moved safely & they even asked where stuff went (!!) when putting it in my new home - including boxes. It was stellar. Moving is kind of a weird and personal experience, and they totally understood that. They actually made moving a pleasurable experience. I've used other movers in the past, but I will be sticking with, and referring, Seattle Select from now on. read more

We hired Seattle Select Moving for our move across town from Columbia City to West Seattle. They were great! Mike called to confirm the move was scheduled and worked to arrange at a time that worked for us. Although they arrived a half hour late due to rain and traffic, they called ahead to apologize and let us know. Once they arrived, the lead mover, John, quickly assessed the job and offered an estimate. Their pricing was very straightforward and there were no hidden charges. We really appreciated their charging a flat $30 "fuel fee", and providing a day-of estimate, which enables them to not charge for travel time. The crew - John, Curtis and Nathan - got right to work and moved fast! They were very personable and treated our belongings with care. There were a few minor dings and scratches, which are to be expected with any move, but nothing major and they always apologized. They moved everything into our new place and were very conscientious about placing our items where we requested. Overall, we were very impressed and appreciate their hard, quick work! Seattle Select Moving helped us with a big move the other month. We had to move from a 5th floor apartment that had an elevator when we moved in but no longer had one on the way out. The guys assessed our situation, called in backup as needed, got everything down the stairs and in the truck and off to our new home. Scheduling was easy. Mike called to confirm moving date. Somehow it was written down wrong but we were able to change it right away. Two young gentlemen showed up on the day of the move. They called to let us know that they were a bit stuck in traffic but ended up arrive at the proposed time. The guys were courteous and worked very hard to get us moved. We needed them to to fill our Pod style storage and they packed it to the brim, taking care of making sure that things were strapped down securely. The guys were able to do it in 2.5 hours including the driving time. Our things are still in storage so I will be able to write an update on the back end of this move when we get our things back. But as far as I can see, they took care to make sure that each item was carefully put in so that nothing would be damaged. We would definitely use them again. read more

I don't know what's up the rear end of the lady below that was so offended that she didn't receive an immediate response - I was contacted on 3 occasions within 5 minutes of my inquiries by Mike, one of the owners. They are reasonably priced, fair, and not looking to gouge you in any way. Work extremely fast, take care of your stuff, and clearly care about their customers. Fun to be around, professional without being stuffy, and they worked so hard I was more than happy to pay them their 4 hour minimum even though the job was done in 3 hours (I expected it would take 5-6). If you look at my profile, you will see that I'm not an active Yelp! user, but I had to do these guys a solid because they made what would normally be an incredibly stressful experience a comically simple and easy one. These guys have moved me twice now -- once across town with a truck, and once within the same apartment complex, no truck. They're really personable but they never stop and don't appear to take breaks or slow down even on a full-day move. They're also very careful. I have a number of delicate items, and not a single thing broke or was dropped in either move. The second time, I was sick and hadn't packed anything, there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher and food in the fridge, and they moved it all with a smile. Only nitpick: both times they called in advance to change the move time by half an hour, and both times they were then half an hour late. But the difference between 8 and 8:30am didn't affect the move at all. read more

These guys made my move so easy. They were incredibly friendly, efficient and careful with all of my items. I moved from a first floor apartment to a third floor apartment and they maneuvered up the narrow staircases with no problems. They moved my entire 1 bedroom apartment in under 2 hours. I went with these guys for my recent move and they were great. I had originally asked for 3 movers but only 2 showed up. At first I thought there was a scheduling mistake, but after they told me they were aware of the 2 pick-up and two drop-off locations, they were on board and told me I will be charged a lower rate. John and Curtis were extremely efficient and professional. My boxes were mixed and they were nice, patient, and friendly with sorting through which boxes would need to be dropped off at which location. John was also very helpful and professional when going through the paperwork and explained the details of the move. With only 2 guys, they got the job done a lot faster than I had anticipated which saved me so much. They also had logistics down when it came to unloading items into an apartment situated on a slope with minimal parking space. After we were done, they even helped me tighten one of my table legs that got loose during the move. I think going above and beyond what's expected of companies and services is what sets these guys a part. I'm happy I worked with them and definitely would recommend them to anyone! read more

This was my first experience hiring a moving company and it was fantastic! These guys were incredibly professional, and very efficient with their time. We had a little hiccup in the beginning with a truck breaking down and running a little late, but things happen out of our control, and they communicated with me the whole time. Loved my moving crew!!!! This was a complicated move. The bank messed up our mortgage and we had to wait and change our moving date. There was no set date and thus it was a stressful time. I was so happy that Rochelle was an absolute professional with her handling of the situation. She made me relax and feel confident that they would get the job done. When moving day came Alex the lead was always upbeat, professional and positive. Jacob "Mr. Creative" was sweet and always helpful. He packed my massive kitchen with no problems. Can't believe these guys have a 5 rating on yelp. Couldn't even book a move. The guy answering phone was extremely unprofessional. Could not give estimate. I understand not giving an estimate over the phone, but at least give me an option on how to get one. I don't want to hear that the owners are too busy, that they can't do estimates. You should really get somebody a bit more professional to answer your calls, instead of leaving it to some dumb/stoned out sounding guy. read more
