We used lake union movers yesterday. They were PHENOMENAL! They dealt with so many challenges (giant couch that didn't fit in the elevator, navigating large antique pieces up a tiny walk up hallway) with ease. From the day before my move when I got the confirmation call I knew I was in excellent hands. The woman who confirmed my move answered all my questions and really put my mind at ease around what to expect. When the movers showed up (Joe, Joe and Jay) they were on time, friendly and professional. They were also highly SKILLED and knew how to do everything from taking apart a treadmill to safely hoisting our giant couch from the second floor patio when it didn't fit through the stairwell. They were able to navigate tight spaces without harming furniture movers have dinged in the past. They were calm, communicative, and worked as such a well functioning team even when things got stressful. SUPERB Moving Company ~ Above & Beyond Service from Start to Finish We were absolutely floored by the professionalism, amazing efficiency, and unparalleled work ethic of Lake Union Movers each stage of this move. It was literally a pleasure to see the crew's expertise and teamwork in action ~ everything went like clockwork. The truck arrived exactly on schedule, each crew member briefly introduced himself with genuine courtesy (a refreshing rarity these days!), and then the crew set straight to work, not once slowing down as they moved some items to another storage unit and others onto the truck. We were so impressed at how many boxes they stacked on each dolly run and that every item was handled with care and obvious know-how, including a huge heirloom grandfather clock they expertly maneuvered, double-checking that the inner workings had been safely removed for the transport. And they even took the initiative to remove and separately wrap each glass fixture and lightbulb from every lamp, something we'd never considered. On the unloading end, we again saw great organization, communication, and attention to detail ~ the crew was so considerate, consistently checking to make sure boxes were correctly sorted by room, that heavy boxes were put within easy access, that furniture was positioned as desired, feet securely put back on the couches, etc. Not a scratch to anything, and all done by outstandingly nice workers (who get bonus points in our book for 100% clean language). And as if they weren't impressive enough, at day's end a sharp-eyed crew member noticed a small metal pin on the truck bed, and instead of tossing it as most people would, he turned it into the office. It turned out to be part of a lamp from our move, and it was HAND DELIVERED to us the next day! Talk about going the extra mile! EXCELLENT!!! If I could give 6 stars, I would. The whole team was extremely friendly, professional, and RELIABLE. Lake Union Movers removed a lot of the stress from the moving process. I had a long distance move from Seattle to LA, and after trying several companies who gave me the run around and left me with no movers one week from move-out date, I got in touch with Lake Union Movers. They immediately understood my situation, and turned things around quickly, without being pushy, and were very communicative and prompt. Within a day, they provided an initial quote, the next day they sent an estimator in-person, and the next day we finalized the contract with a very easy e-sign process. Two days later, the movers showed up to pick up items from both my home and public storage, and two days after that my items were driven down to LA and unloaded in my house within 2 hours. Everybody I interacted with, Hanna-Jo, Kayla, Jadon, Brandon, and Joe, were all very friendly, patient, and professional. I'm normally a very laid back person but moving gives me anxiety to the max. We bought a house and needed to move our 2 bedroom apartment to our 4 bedroom house. As a couple, we've moved 7 times in the last 6 years so there isn't a lot of clutter and we had everything packed/broken down/ready to go when Joe, Brandon and Malik showed up. First thing's first: scheduling is easy. Joe and I chatted about our stuff and put a plan in place. Our apartment building's loading dock was in a really REALLY narrow alley that can only accommodate a 18' max truck. Thankfully we don't have a ton of furniture so, while tight, a 16' truck squeezed all our stuff in without an inch to spare. Day before moving day: They give you a ring to check in and see if you need additional services, like help packing, seeing if furniture will need to be disassembled, etc. Moving day: They showed up right on time, 9:00AM sharp. We'd begun moving some boxes into the loading dock elevator and from there, they took over the rest. They finished up loading our stuff while we headed over to the house. We have 44 stairs from sidewalk to front door. We have solid wood furniture. Putting the two together, there was no way we'd be able to manage this, not damage our stuff and end the day not mad at each other. Cutting to the chase, Joe, Brandon and Malik did an amazing job. From the time they arrived to the time they left our house, was 3 hours and 10 minutes. This includes travel time to the house. They went above and beyond our expectations and were realistic with us when a sleeper sofa wouldn't fit in a basement guest room (not for lack of trying). We've had several bad experiences with movers so my anxiety was up to 11, but was eased by the time they left and quite frankly, I was *almost* sad this was our last move for many years because these guys kicked so much ass. If you need a mover, really, hire these guys. They are amazing. read more

Great movers. Kaley came out within a day of our phone call and walked through our house and what needed to be moved. She then emailed me a proposal and estimate for cost. Moving day, Joe arrived right on time with Jarrod, Francisco and Forrest. They got the move done under their estimated time and so the move was cheaper than the estimate by several hundred dollars. We have some antiques that have been in our family several generations. They were all moved with care and no damage. All of the movers were very courteous and polite and professional. We reached out to Joe for a move from Seattle to Issaquah. Joe was extremely quick to respond and provide answers to the multiple questions I had. We were able to quickly coordinate a time and date for the move via email which is super convenient. On the day of the move, I was notified prior to their arrival which is perfect in addition to arriving on time! That's always a huge plus since we were on a pretty tight schedule. Because we had a lot of our items packed already, they were able to move everything from our apartment in Queen Anne to Issaquah in 2 hours (including the drive) which is crazy fast compared to the initial estimate of 5 hours. It probably helped that we did our move at 9AM so traffic was light. Overall, amazing experience. Nothing damaged, nothing broken, extremely courteous team who work hard and do not waste a second of your time in an effort to provide the best service they can. Showed up on time, Johan and Malik were efficient and did a fantastic job. They checked in with me throughout the move out and move in. They are skilled movers knowing how to navigate stairs, low ceilings and corners. They are very cautious and did no damage to walls or ceilings because they pay attention to the space . We had a phase two move today (3/30/21) from our storage unit. What a fantastic experience. We had Joe the owner and two additional movers. They emptied out two storage units quickly and when they arrived at our home, Joe reorganized our garage so everything could fit in out garage rather than put too much into our house. Joe and his team are awesome. I sent a few requests for quotes ~1 week before my move to a 5-6 moving companies via yelp. Joe was the first to respond. He made it easy to reach his company to get a quote and learn what's offered in his services. I paid $165/hour for 3 movers plus all the tools and supplies to make it a quick process. They even have boxes for clothes so that you can keep your clothes on a hanger during the move! They have large bins to hold odly shaped items like Amy ~10 things I packed in reusable bags vs grocery boxes. Joe and his team for my stuff out of my old place and into my new place in ~3.75 hours and that's including drive time and a tricky route to get to my new building's freight elevator. All in all the process was the most efficient I've ever received from a moving company. I would use this company again and recommend to anyone looking for help moving. read more

I couldn't recommend Joe and his team more enthusiastically - they are as fast, friendly, and professional (as promised) of a mover as you will find. Our family has moved both out of state and cross-town, and I've never seen movers as efficient as them. They completed a same day move from a three bedroom home in Seattle to a four bedroom home in Portland in 11 hours (that includes drive time!) and did it for less than their estimate. Other moving estimates had us on a 3-5 day shipment timeline for thousands more. Lake Union Movers is the best! Joe came to our home about a month before the move and gave us an extremely reasonable quote for an out-of-state move. He was communicative and patient as we worked through dates and signed the contract. He bent over backwards to do the move on a date that worked best for us, and took on the challenge of moving us from Seattle to Portland the day before the Solar Eclipse. Leading up to the move, he was available via phone and text and checked in to discuss the day-of timeline. He earned a lot of confidence before the move even started, which was reassuring as this was such a high pressure situation for us. The day-of they were 15 minutes early and completed loading the truck in less time than promised (and the original timeframe was ambitious). They actually beat us to Portland, and got to work before we even got there. There was never a moment wasted, and they were smart and efficient each step of the way. They unloaded the truck in less time than it took to load, which is impressive considering we moved from a one to a two story house. We got a discount for the load weighing less than the estimate, which when does that happen? And it was a competitive estimate to begin with! But as Joe says, he strives to be on time and under budget, and he was. Joe has a ton of experience leading complex moves and it shows - he made this stressful move incredibly easy for us. Joe & his son were fantastic to work with and I would trust them with any future move, big or small and recommend them to all friends and family (the move literally just happened and I'm sure everyone is already tired of hearing how smoothly it went - I can't stop talking about it). The team seamlessly moved us from Kirkland, WA all the way to Dallas, TX at the end of October. We had previously handled multi-state moves on our own, but never one of this magnitude, so knew we needed the help of movers.
