This was my second time using Eco Movers, and Quincy and Dwayne were absolutely amazing. They were even better than the first crew I worked with, and I had a good experience that time as well. They helped us move a large antique dining room set down a long set of concrete stairs, which was no easy task. The set included a very heavy buffet and hutch with a large piece of marble. Quincy and Dwayne carefully took everything apart, wrapped each piece extremely well, and handled the entire set with a tremendous amount of care. What impressed me just as much was their attitude and professionalism. Both of them had a great demeanor, were extremely respectful, and stayed positive throughout the entire move. I was so relieved when they finally came the next day after they didn't come when they were supposed to. They said they had my phone number off by one number. We had previously communicated by phone and during the window I called to check on their whereabouts and said my number twice slowly --- so not sure what the deal is. I didn't know they were out there till the evening. Simon left for a short while with a neighbor to change batteries in their smoke detectors. Heres what the movers really did. Here's a list: They pissed in my things. Stole from me- Screwed up all of my belongings. 1. Took the cords out of every electronic device, so I wouldn't actually not be able to actually use them. 2. I cannot use my computer, the printer (I had to buy a new one) there are no cords to plug in my electronics.the guys took 3. They went through all of things and mixed them all up, so I couldn't find anything or really unpack and put my stuff somewhere. 4. They stole 2 boxes of a narcotics from me.(prescribed) 5.They opened a box that was supposed to be sent to my ex jerk boyfriend. They took out the letter I wrote to this guy along with the piece of paper from Something else- with my address on it. And taped it to a different box. They tried to make it look like the actual box was not touched. Then I guess they thought they would have some gotcha moment.. haha Sarah we got you! 6. They pissed on my things!!! So this along with throwing my things into boxes, not using my boxes, the third guy didn't even stay to move my things into my new place. Where he went I have no idea. But Louis charged me for it anyway. it took them 8 hours! It's a 4 hour move. They spent the time making sure I would have the worst move ever, can't plug anything in, they pissed on my things of mine, putting things that were in one place- mixed them all up, so there is no way I can organize them at my new place. I am still learning about what they did to me and my things. Plus I gave them a $600 tip. They went through and read all of my personal papers, letters, everything. Then made sure all of them were in 500 different boxes. They did not use the things I bought to pack my things in. So they charged me $9 per box. (spamming this review everywhere because they deserve it!) I usually dont leave reviews, but i have to with this company! To be honest, this place wasnt my first choice, but now it will always be! First off, they were very quick to accomodate me (i called them about a week before my move). Then, when my apartment i was moving into told me i couldnt have the larger elevator later than what my proosed time was, they accomodated me once more and slid my timeframe up. Then i thought they were just going to come in and grab my things and throw them into the truck (i even bought moving blankets to prepare) but Carlos L. and Luis C. went WAYY above and beyond by wrapping all my items in a moving blanket, cellophane, and then sealed with ductape (they even brought their own disposal Mattress bag!!!) they were very fast and very precise! When we arrived at my new apartment and brought my items upstairs, Carlos even put my desk and bedframe back together! I was really honestly prepared to do it myself but they took care of everything. the craziest thing is that the cost was LOWER than my move i did in 2019...considering inflation, think about how wild that is! I cannot recommend these movers enough. My next move, this'll be my first call; I plan on being a repeat customer! read more
