Over priced food. Worker said my bill was $129 he wanted tip. I found out from my bank it was $50.something. I left $20 in ones cause i enjoyed The violin. Next time im in cancun im staying somewhere else(westin sucks its really dirty).
We enjoyed the ocean front location and food. We are staying at the Westin and had to give it a try. We had a good time and had the ribeye steak and multiple sides that were very good.
I have sent some updated menus. The prices seem to have stayed the same gone up in some areas and actually went down on one or two items. I got the Sea and stone pizza. surprisingly had a decent amount of lobster and shrimp on it. we also got the potatoes covered with cheese. They were very good and very hot. Be careful. My wife got the raviolis with the truffle oil sauce. It was very good. I wasn't sure if everyone supposed to get bread or not we had to ask for ours. If we wanted to dip some of the bread in with that truffle oil sauce. We both got virgin piña coladas I believe peach flavor. Mine was lime flavored. I recommend making a reservation and confirming it. This place will fill up and can be busy. Overall, it was good. But you are paying a premium getting food on resort property. We got to sit outside. It was nice to listen to the ocean and enjoy our meal.
Overall we really enjoyed this place. However I got the truffled gnocchi and it was way too rich. Could only eat a little. The blue cheese mash potatoes were delicious
Let me start this place is over price. Service is so so I'm giving half star for the mango ceviche and the other half for the nice view. First, the most disappointed of all that I didn't even take photos is the Tomahawk.. small, tasteless, and hard, and we order medium rare. The ravioli is the 2nd most disappointed. My daughter can't even eat the ravioli super hard like rubber and taste salt. 3rd, the risotto mushroom, rice is undercooked, and it looks like I can't even describe it. 4th, the mix seafood tastes nothing at all. The octopus is rubbery, and the last is the seafood rice, salty.. almost everything we order here is if it's not salty, they don't have taste. We are so tired from our trip so that we don't have the time to look for other places and end up in this restaurant because it's in the hotel. Don't get deceived by the picture. They don't taste good
Stood at the hostess station for 10 minutes before I was seated as no one was there. I finally chased down a waiter who said "I'm just a waiter , not the host." The same waiter then finally made his way to the host station a few minutes later to seat me and the line of people that was forming at the host station. After I was finally seated, I sat at my table for nearly 20 minutes before anyone approached to offer water or food. I had to get up to get a waiter who walked by my table several times and didn't say a word to me. He then admitted that he was my waiter and rudely said " what do you want"? Ordered a bottle of Chardonnay and the wood fired burrata. Waiter brought me Cabernet and the burrata was a watery , tasteless mess. When I sent it back, the waiter told me it was almost finished, which it clearly wasn't. Waterbugs were everywhere to the extent that I had to eat with my feet on the chair. I also ordered the crabcakes and they were more breadcrumbs than crabcake. The view is beautiful but the service and food are deplorable! I do not recommend! This was my last dinner in Cancun and I have to say it was the absolute worst experience I have had at any restaurant from both a service and food perspective. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else or if you do come here, just order a drink and enjoy the view
I really enjoyed this restaurant. I honestly think it rescued my trip, because the hotel used harassment techniques to try to book people for their presentations. I enjoyed eating here so much. It was right off the ocean, so the views were amazing. The sound of the waves crashing while we sat in the candle lite and enjoyed our dinners. Yes, it was a joyful mood. There are a variety of seating options. Sit outside when you can but check out the inside too. It look like a fancy hut. The drinks were cool. They didn't skim the alcohol or pour so heavy it tastes like a forever shot. Their drinks were tasty, and so was their food. They have seating in the deck which is great as long as no one is using the adjacent pool. They also have chairs on an elevated deck. A violinist stopped by to play two different nights. It was so beautiful and romantic Enjoy.
Our final dinner in Cancun was held at Sea & Stones, a onsite upscale restaurant at Westin Resort & Spa Cancun. We made a 6:30 pm reservation for 3 after it was advertised earlier today in the hotel lobby that a Saxophonist would be the entertainment. Our meal order was: * Buns with side of Butter & Eggplant * Smoked Fruits Salad * Mixed Seafood Platter w/Sea Bass * Bourbon Chicken & Cauliflower Couscous * Fettuccine Frutti di Mare * Grilled Asparagus with Traditional Bearnise I gave a 5-star for the Mixed Seafood Platter w/Catch of the Day (Sea Bass) which I thoroughly loved in flavour, texture and presentation. We shared the 4-star Smoked Fruits Salad as well as the 3.5-star Asparagus which I found over-grilled. My sweetie and my Son only gave their main course a 2.5-star rating. The restaurant service staff was excellent. The Saxophonist provided soothing music as we dined so I tipped him 200 pesos which he really appreciated. Fine dining by the sea settled in at 3.5 overall. It is still worth a visit or two.
I'd give this place a 3.5 star if I could. Food was decent. Not amazing but good. Views are gorgeous. Wait staff was very good. I got the salmon sashimi which lacked a lot of flavor but was still good. I also got the sea bass which was good but a little bland and asparagus. My partner was under the weather so didn't really eat much. Worth it if you are staying at the Westin for the convenience but I wouldn't travel out of my way to go.
Everything is perfect. From the ambience (so romantic and inspiring), food is DELISH, service is exceptional and the breeze and the sound of the wave of the water on the beach is so relaxing. Highly recommended.

We stayed at the Westin and went for dinner here since it was close and convenient. We had such great service from Leonardo and Ferndo on our first night. We ended up going here 3 nights in a row. The food was AMAZING and Fresh. (Highly recommend Seafood soup). The steak was also sooo delicious. They had a violinist the 2nd night we went and a band on the 3rd night. We loved the vibe and decor of the place as well. This was right on the beach as well. What more can you ask for?

Sea and Stones restaurant is inside the Westin Resort and Spa by reservation only. The ambiance is cozy fine dining by the beach. I didn't like that I smelled like burnt wood cuz the whole time their wood grilled oven is on. The service is good. The waiters are fast and checks on us frequently. Presentation is good, but I'm not impressed with the taste. I ordered lobster bisque. It's kinda watery, not creamy at all. Very regular. Then I ordered lobster in coconut curry and basmati rice. It was served in fresh half pineapple.,Unfortunately I was not able to taste the coconut. i was expecting that it will be kinda sticky since the rice was cooked in coconut curry... but no, it seems like it was just soaked in water, it's lacking the taste of the coconut and taste of curry.,Also, for awhile i thought i was eating chicken instead of lobster. Yes, I was expecting that it will be pricey since it's fine dining, but it didn't meet my expectations to it's palatability. I was not even able to eat half of it. I was forcing myself to eat it, but i really can't cuz it was lacking taste. I still gave 3-star cuz of the service and the ambiance. read more
Amazing dining experience right on the water! Located within the Westin it's the top dining option within the resort. Large menu of fresh seafood, steaks, pasta, and more. Too notice service and ambience you can't beat being right on the beach overlooking the ocean. read more

We decided to dine at the Sea and Stone on our last night in Cancun. The restaurant is located at the Westin Resort and Spa. The ambience was amazing right against the shoreline. We were seated right away with no reservation. The servers were very attentive. Food was good, to start we ordered crab cakes, beef empanadas and mini fish tacos. The crab cakes were not as good, they lacked some flavor. The empanadas and fish tocas were both tasty and flavorful. As our entree we had the Homemade vegetable lasagna and the Salmon fillet with a side of vegetables and mashed potatoes. The vegetable lasagna was very cheesy and delicious. My wife and I stayed at the Westin Resort and Spa in Cancun for my birthday last week and Sea & Stones is one of the restaurants onsite. I am surprised that there's not more reviews, Yelp helped me decide to go here! I apologize in advance for the lack of photos but it was dark and I couldn't capture decent food photos. I'll tell you that you must secure a spot outside and it's worth the wait. Word to the wise, ensure you prepare for the wind. It is quit breezy and from what I understand, that is normal. The service was REALLY good, starting with the host stand. We were greeted quickly and was taken to a nice table overlooking the ocean after making the request. The server was quick, polite, and attentive. Explained the menu mostly in English and didn't shame me when I tried to order with my broken Spanish! I had a New York Strip and my wife had the Sea Bass, both were prepared perfectly. After being told it was my birthday, the chef sent out the nice cake you'll see in my photos. My only negative comment was about the wine service. While the wine list was not large, they had an appropriate number of choices. The servers unfortunately had not been trained on wine service which is not something you expect from a nice restaurant such as this although I have found too often in resort towns such as Cancun. Definitely not worth dinging them on their rating in my opinion. If you're staying in the area and are looking for a nice, romantic dinner, don't hesitate to go to Sea & Stones! read more

Mind blowing good. Don't understand how this place as low rating, it's so good. Great food, great service, great ambience, can't ask for anything more. Everything is cooked on a wood fired grill. I was rubbing the bread in my plate, that's how good it was! read more

This is a very fantastic experience in my life 。。z When you always smiled then Good thing will happens。(´｀ )、That day is full-Mood day, You can enjoy the dinner time with beautiful Mood together 。。、Think about it , "You listens the sea waves and sit down perfect seat can see the bright moon then you enjoy the delicious food and breeze winds 。" What a beautiful scene !!! The appetizer severs bread with sour pickles and Cream 。。z It's a great and make you feel comfortable 。(*¯¯*)Then Grilled sea food platter , OMG the Mussels with scallops with the sauce is Perfect Taste w(ﾟﾟ)w、They exploded in your mouth。。z Then the main dish, I have the Surf& Turf 、New York strip & Sea Bass , They are so juicy and tender , combine with special sauce , they make me feel so good man(⁎⁍⁍⁎)、My friend has Picanas and they are also juicy and tender , just as good as my dish 。。Last one , the Dessert was the big event, You gona love this special Full-Moon ice cream 、 It taste so crispy outside and silky inside 。。Last thing, my friends and me enjoy times with Moon, And we took a lot of good pictures 。。！This is unforgettable memories in Cancun o(*////////*)q read more

What an Amazing Experience. The Food is Delicious, full of Amazing Spices and Taste. Incredible pairing of Flavors! Everything from the Margarita's to the Wonderful Desert. The food and service were exceptional! The environment was like no other since we had a live violinist and the ocean view all in one. We ordered the New York steak and it was definitely worth the price. The steak was big and juicy and the mashed potatoes were seasoned well. The drinks were strong and worth the price for them! Definitely recommend if you're wanting something fancy when in the area. read more

Best location in Cancun, this restaurant is part of the Westin Resort at the south end of the hotel zone and sits right on the beach. Had a table outside with great views, great service and delicious food. Wife had the lobster tail and spinach & artichokes, I had the mixed grill. The entrees are grilled and came out tasting great. App was mussels which were quite large and tasty. Service was very good, nice pours on the wine by the glass. They offered a tomahawk steak which is supposedly a specialty of theirs, but we were in the mood for seafood. They have flatbreads and pizza on the menu but if you want that you should go up to the sportsbar behind the pool. If you want a romantic restaurant with top notch views and good grilled seafood, this is the place. read more

Get 2 stars as service was good and design was nice. The glass walls cut down on wind while allowing view of ocean. Bread also did taste fresh out of oven though do not come to eat bread Ran out of chicken empanadas so had vegetable which were okay but not what I wanted. Wine listed Chardonnay as Robert mondavi When it was Woodbridge. They listed another wine as by Woodbridge. The quality is very different between the two. Our steaks needed a1 to taste good. I have not used. A1 at a restaurant since I was a kid going to sizzler or ponderosa. If not on all inclusive at this hotel avoid this place. Not sure if others in Westin any better though. read more
