16oz ribeye mashed potatoes, and Mack n cheese my wife had 12oz ribeye with her lemon drop martini and my margarita.

Food was even better out here compared to the states, service was excellent and atmosphere was so relaxing I will be adding this restaurant to my places to go.

I'll keep this one fairly short as this isn't a real differentiator of the Cancun food scene (you can get it anywhere). However, it is a reliable steakhouse. We started with the Seared Ahi Tuna, which had a nice kick and was quite good. I'd order on a return visit. We also had the filet and asparagus. Both were what you'd expect if you've been to a Ruth's Chris before! All in all, you really can't go wrong, but it's not something unique to Cancún.

Best steakhouse in the Cancun Hotel Zone. Must try the seared ahi tuna appetizer and lobster mac and cheese.. of course, must get the king filet and make sure you wash it down with some good red wine .. thank you Ruth Chris Cancun for making my 37th birthday dinner extra special in beautiful Cancun!!

Absolutely superb service by attentive waitstaff specifically Geuri and his server assistants. My apologies if I spelled his name wrong. From beginning to end, not a beat was missed in the ultimate dining experience had tonight. There are so many positives let's start with.... The overall cleanliness of this establishment. A tell tale sign is the bathroom and it was squeaky clean! The ice cold Evian poured table side into your crystal clean glass, AMAZING! Crispy Calamari with Asian zest - a testament of what was to come! Melt in your mouth petite filet. Cooked med. rare - I can honestly say I have not eaten a better cut of prime meat. EVER! Sides you MUST try include mashed potatoes, creamy spinach & asparagus. Just divine! As you dine, the utmost professionalism in service continues as the staff here removes used plating, silverware and crumbs your table. So appreciated! Lastly, Do not forget about dessert! The whiskey infused bread pudding and creme brûlée was indeed a grand finale to be savored! Thank you Ruth's Chris Cancun! Manager Juan was also a class act! From arranging our transportation and holding the door open for us as we left. You are not to be missed when in Mexico. A delight for the palate we shall not soon forget!

An absolute must! The food and service was fantastic! In the USA $ would be a lot more. Antonio Moo was our server and he was attentive, timely and extremely professional. We enjoyed his service, friendly smile, and great attitude. Visit Antonio for a great steak and lovely dining experience. Gracias Antonio! My filet was perfect, his rib eye was charred perfectly, our lobster mac and cheese was decadent, the mushrooms were the right amount of herby, sweet and flavorful. We enjoyed 3 mini desserts instead of a large one, the options and presentation were fantastic. I took a video I was so impressed. We had coffee with dessert and the coffee was divine, they served us warmed cream for our coffee to make it a special touch to enjoy our coffee still warm. Thank you for a great experience Antonio. Muchas Gracias.

Shrimp, calamari, crab cakes

1 of 2 places in Cancun that made me feel like I'm back home in America. We always came on weekdays during late afternoon/early night hours and we never had to wait more than 5 minutes to get seated. It's a fancy place but we always wore our daytime clothes here and never had a problem since the people I came with are regulars here. We always ordered the same thing: apps with shots of Don Julio 70. Our go to apps are spicy shrimp, calamari, and crab cakes. They're all great choices. I'd come back to eat somewhere familiar but if I wanted local food I'd go elsewhere.

First time at a Ruth's Chris Steak House. Surprised by the quality of technically a chain restaurant. Always get the hot plate. Took me a while to figure out you can cook the meat with it! Mac n cheese lobster is really freaking good.

It's a steakhouse so think of leather, wood, modern, sleek, dimly lit, out door action taking place, and docking available. It's fine dining at the beach and how sexy is Harry's? Very Sexy! Part of the Anderson group we learned that Cancuns best restaurants are part of a chain and glad we were able to try two of them, Harry's being one. Service - Top notch. You know it's fine dining with the service you're getting as soon as you walk in. Let's get into it! Complimentary Bread - Yes please, the best ever! Appetizer - Oyster Rockefeller- These oysters were the biggest I've had seen in life. I did like them but they were lukewarm, they also didn't have bacon which for me, I needed it. They were just too big not to have something extra. Good nonetheless. Burger - Of course I got a burger because I'm a kid at heart. I loved it and that bun omg! Fries were great. Short Rib Sandwich - Delicious he loved the Au jus that went with it. Dessert - Chocolate Cake - It was good but had a bitter chocolate flavor. We always get dessert and this was not our favorite. Complimentary Cotton Candy? And that is exactly why they are 5 stars. It's like a whole love story in here, they aren't perfect but they sure make up for it in ways that count! Yes to Harry's all day, every day!! Thank you for a wonderful lunch!

Harry's has a wonderful setting directly on the water. You can access by car or by boat. They presented menus and all steaks come in 3 versions: Kobe, Waygu or USDA. I have to say crazy prices and I am accustomed to Miami. A waiter brings an actual display of the steaks to the table. The tomahawk has to be 3 feet tall. I cannot imagine anyone eating it! We all ordered USDA filets in the mid $80 range. I ordered mine medium. It was overcooked. No pink/red in the middle and very dry. I was a bit disappointed. We were never rushed. At the end, they brought a piece of cake for the birthday celebrant and a huge cotton candy for the table to enjoy. We each had individual bills. I assume because I was English speaking, they converted mine from pesos to US$'s. I always pay in pesos. The tip has been added and my bill was $139. Not sure how it went from $88 to $139. I did not drink any alcohol - only water. It was fine for a one time visit.

After a great lazy day of floating around the pool for our last day in Cancun, we almost decided to…read moreskip a nice dinner and just grab some (more) tacos from a casual spot nearby. But, after debating and reading some reviews, we decided to call (at 7pm) and see if La Buena Barra had any open tables for 7:30. Since Cancún dinner culture generally ramps up after 8, we were in luck and headed to the restaurant. We were warmly greeted by the host team and escorted promptly to a great table outside, overlooking the lagoon and the last bits of sunset in the sky. The ambience of La Buena Barra is amazing, great lighting, ceiling fans to keep a light breeze going, and music that is loud enough to prevent you from hearing conversations at other tables, but still allowed us to talk just fine. Our servers Jonathan and Estefany were the sweetest and most attentive that we experienced during our trip! Excellent food recommendations, even advising against getting a second dessert (due to their size) instead of just letting us spend more money there. Absolutely worthy of 5 star service! Ok- the food: very good, probably some of the more distinct flavors we enjoyed in Cancun. Also a very unique selection of cocktails, delivered in all sorts of unique glasses. BUT truly the best thing we ate was the corn ice cream! It's molded ice cream that looks exactly like an ear of white corn with a ribbon of dulce de leche in the center- honestly the best ice cream I've ever eaten at a restaurant! Prices per person can easily exceed $1000 pesos here depending on what you get, but it's possible to enjoy the experience on a budget. We shared an appetizer (empanadas, highly recommend), shared a large entree (ribeye tacos, comes with 7), a cocktail, side of corn, and dessert- ended up being around $1200 plus tip.

I think I like the ambience of the interior at this location better than the one in Mexico City. As…read morefor the terrace seating, you can't compare the waterfront view here. The octopus is probably the best I've had. The waygu ribeye taco is up there with the best I've had. The service is friendly and attentive. We loved it so much, we ended up here twice in the same week. The service is outstanding here and you can tell they pride themselves on customer service. Before the meal, they do drop off bread with dipping sauces, garlic, and butter. The perfect appetizer. One reason I love this place is the salads. They are big enough for split for 2 and I don't think you can go wrong with any of the options. Personally, the cesar salad is my favorite. What I love about this salad, is they make the dressing right in front of you. Definitely a cool and unique experience. The first time, I ordered the tuna steak. It comes with a soy sauce and a garlic butter. These two sauces on the tuna makes for an incredible meal. I cannot say enough good things about this entree! The second night we went my boyfriend and I split the Cesar salad and the skirt steak. We also added on a side of mashed potatoes and grilled veggies. The whole meal was delicious. I couldn't pick a favorite part because everything tasted so good. Splitting this was the perfect meal for two people and we even had a bit left over to snack on the next day. I always have a wonderful experience with even better food when I come here. If you happen to be in the area this is a must stop.

All-in-all it was worth the inconvenience. Very eclectic menu, warm atmosphere and outstanding service. I started withe the Mango-Tamarind: Lettuce, Indian walnut, mango, blueberries, Cotija cheese, mango-habanero dressing and tamarind billet. Unique and tasty. "Swiss Chicken Enchiladas" for the main course was not what you get at a local Mexican joint -- Four tortillas stuffed with chicken, bathed in a creamy tomatillo sauce with melted cheese and a base of refried black beans. This was a 5-star dish! I couldn't resist ordering a side dish though I didn't need to because the enchiladas were really enough, so I indulged myself with fries: these were not your run of the mill French fries. Porfirio's Potatoes -- French fries with chipotle pepper aioli, parmesan cheese and parsley. Finally, if you like ice cream I highly recommend that you order BOTH offerings: 1) "ICE CREAM TASTING" - Strawberry ice cream, chocolate ice cream from Metate, marzipan ice cream and vanilla from Papantla. Served with grated coconut, chocolate grain, M&M's, Oreo cookies and ice cream cones; and, 2) "PORFIRIO'S MOLECULAR ICE CREAM" - served with cajeta Worcestershire sauce in an ice cream cone. I took some notes and this is what I thought of the dishes. Xoajacan Imoladas - The mole is perfection. The flautas, superb. Everything in this plate is a symphony of what I would expect from Xoajaca. 9.5/10 Barbacoa Bonemarrow - Barcacoa is on point. The Marrow is Sublime. Together with the accompaniments is superb. I dream of Marrow everyday. This is a 10/10 Yellow fin Tosatadas - Superb!!! One of the best tostadas I have ever had. The microgreens, the sauce and the square Tostada works well all together. 8.8/10 Salmon - Cooked perfectly. The corn is a great accompaniment. The fish is impeccably seasoned. This dish is heaven sent with a 9.8/10 Grilled Octopus - Grilled perfectly, I can tell by the texture. The mash is superb, they used margarine instead of butter and I absolutely love the contrast from the traditional mash. 9.8/10 Mexican Rice - Its pretty good. It does have a nice seafoodish finish. The pepper was actually spicy. Nice and pleasant rice dish. 8/10 Charred Avocado Salad - Grilled avocado is a bit of a wash. It did make it look good on the plate. The dressing is a little weak. Needs a little more zip, some citrus or vinegar would give this salad some justice. Its a little uninspired 7/10 Service is impeccable and attentive and the atmosphere is lovely.

This place was recommended by our butler at the hotel, and honestly, we should have just gone with our original choice instead of coming here. The restaurant itself is aesthetically pleasing, but that's about where the positives end. The food is seriously underwhelming and absolutely not worth the price. I ordered the seafood spaghetti, and every single clam came out closed. The mussels were ridiculously small, there was barely any other seafood in the dish, and for the price they charge, it honestly feels like a complete rip-off. The show is entertaining, but the entertainment is better than the food, in my opinion. On top of that, the sodas we were served were flat and appeared to be expired, which is completely unacceptable. This has easily been the worst dining experience I've had since being here. The atmosphere may look nice, but that does not make up for poor-quality food, questionable drinks, and prices that do not match what you're actually getting. I would not come back, and I definitely would not recommend this restaurant. And, we came here to celebrate a birthday. Wow!
