I opened a scuba store in Honolulu last year. Shortly afterwards the Scuba Pro rep Walt contacted us. He payed us five visits attempting to get us to purchase 13K worth of Scuba Pro for our first order. He even offered to give me an my wife a full free set of Scuba Pro gear. I filled out the application and gave him my credit card number. Two days later I got a phone call from the owner of Dive Oahu stating, "if you want that Scuba Pro gear, give me your [my] credit card number, quick!" Needless to say, I was baffled by the situation, so I called the Walt. He immediately began back peddling. Personally, 13K is nothing to joke around about, and the fact these two jokers that they could get away with ripping me off angers me. I told Walt never to come to my store again. I did not think of calling his boss until a week later, but by then he cleverly covered up his tracks because he was afraid of the backlash, and rightfully so. Sadly, when I called his boss in California, he, too, back peddled and covered Walt's tail. Although Scuba Pro makes good stuff, they are a crooked company that hires and supports unethical and outside sales reps. Because of their dirty business practices, I cannot support Scuba Pro. I have nothing good to say about them. read more
