The food was great for the third time. It was fresh, flavorful, and tasted delicious. I'm so happy they're located in the Tatnuck area. I highly recommend trying Scruffy Murphys out. read more

Sister restaurant of Funky Murphys, taking over for the old Tatnuck Grille. Nice spot to catch a game and grab some food and a drink. Standard food but they do some good deals (for example 3 dollar personal pizza certain days), the. 9.99 chicken parm etc. read more

Worst restaurant ever went to in my life. The waitress seems to be nice however the management was very disrespectful. Call when I didn't like some thing about the food I simply asked if they could just replace it with something else and not charge me for it. He told me that he was going to charge me for that one and whatever he made me otherwise. Very rudely and didn't even offer an apology or anything.Worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. read more

Came in here today with my mom. Sign said seat yourself so we sat for 15 min waiting for a menu. Finally asked for a menu and continued to sit there for another ten minutes before leaving. It wasn't busy. The waitresses looked right at us multiple times. Never have I been so ignored at a restaurant in my life. First time and last time. read more

Multiple service failures. Table of 6, only 2 meals were delivered so we waited quite a few minutes to see if our friends would get their meals, and by then our food was cold. Our waitress never returned to see how our food was, so we finally flagged down the manager to check on the rest of the meals and have our food warmed up. A few minutes later our waitress came over and explained that somehow only one check had been submitted (we had requested separate checks) and that the kitchen was expediting the other 4 meals. The manager returned with our meals warmed up and offered a small dish of salsa and chips while our friends waited. He knew what had happened; he should have had the kitchen remake our meals so all 6 could have been served together. Instead, we ate, and our friends waited another 20-25 minutes for their food. So much for expediting. When we finally asked for our checks, we asked our waitress if anything could be comped due to the delays, and she proceeded to argue with us because there was nothing wrong with the food. She should have gone to get the manager, it was inappropriate for her to argue with us. Realizing that they had no intention of doing anything for us, we gave her our credit cards. The manager was the one who came back to return our credit cards and just told us to have a nice day, he never apologized for the problems we had. We will never go back, there are plenty of other restaurants with better service. read more

Earing lunch. Turkey bacon, ranch burger. Delish... Good atmosphere. Bartenders very friendly. Prices , average. Come and try.

We were forced to pay for a drink that the bartender screwed up twice. No one had the drink because it was so badly made, it could not be saved. Management insisted that we pay for a drink we did not end up having. Aside from how screwy this was by itself, manager definitely treated us like we were wrong for disliking the drink. It was a weird stance, and absolutely not a good look. Not sure why that is their approach. It's my neighborhood bar so it bums me out, but hoping that with one bar in the neighborhood, more (and better ones) will follow. For that, at least, I thank you scruffy. read more

Service and food (except for fries that tasted like fish) was great. Will go back but will order something without fries.

First time visiting Scruffy Murphy's, service was good but food was a bit on the bland side. Started with hummus platter, no flavor but presentation was excellent. Lacked garlic and lemon, would not order again. My husband had the fish sandwich he enjoyed it, fish was flaky and fresh. I had meatloaf it was good but again potatoes and vegetables were seriously lacking any flavor. Guests next to us at bar didn't care for either of their meals. Shepherd's Pie and Tacos were a huge dissapointment to them both, I asked what was wrong both said no flavor. Love the new design, clean and comfortable only hope they can kick up the menu. Dessert menu is not homemade read more

I do like the place but... Never pass off bad string cheese fried as mozzarella sticks. It costs you less to make it in house!

Place is clean and food is ok BUT staff seem to cater to the local regulars that hang around the bar . Been here twice to grab some takeout and a beer on my way home. Pretty much get ignored at the bar until you flag someone down and then they seem annoyed that you took them away from conversation with one of the regulars. read more

Thoroughly enjoyed our outside dining tonight. Absolutely love their menu. The food is great and you can't beat the prices. My 12 oz ribeye w/buttery blue cheese on top was delicious. Great spot, plentiful parking. The service was really good. Felt good to get out after 3 months in quarantine. We'll definitely be back. read more

I'm unfairly reviewing this place without having gone to this new iteration of a pub in this space. I think it was called the Tatnuck Grille or something before, and while I was glad it was there for a quick drink before a family event, it was rather dated, crammed, and not super inviting. Then the other night, visiting family in Worcester again, the idea came up to order takeout from somewhere. Calling Scruffy Murphy's, they said sorry, no takeout over the phone, but you could come in and order food to go. Huh. Anyway that aside, the menu looked like that of one million other middle-of-the-road, I guess-we'll-go-here, ugh-what-is-that-smell pubs: average, probably nothing mindblowing, and probably not very nice inside. Why do so many of these places exist? I wish more places would decide to do one thing, really well. Don't care what it is. Find the most talented person at making one thing, and hire them to do that. Cousin Eddie makes great pancakes? Boom, pancake place with a bar. I'd go there! read more

First time today it was YUMMY. Staff was so welcoming and helpful we will certainly be back!!!

Since my original 3 star review was deleted, now it's 2 and I'll keep it simple. If you like slow service, this is the place to be.

BEST steak caprese salad around!! The fries are delicious too! The restaurant has great ambiance and friendly staff. Food is reasonably priced and good variety. We've had success with both eat in and takeout! read more

We walked into the restaurant and the sign said to seat yourself so we sat down only to be totally ignored for at least 15 min. When we requested a menu, we were handed several but never asked if we would like a drink. Never apologized for not acknowledging us and even after us making the staff aware we were there, we still were ignored. We looked over the menu and realized there was nothing special that would make it worth our while to wait any longer after having been ignored for at least 20 min. We walked out and will never be back. The rudeness there is totally unacceptable!!! read more

Decent spot on the west side tucked into the Tatnuck Square plaza. Food was great, drinks not like Funky's drinks. Waitress was off in la-la land somewhere and hard to track down. There was live music the night we were there. Might go back. read more

Great addition to the area. Restaurant has been remodeled and it's an open, comfortable decor. Staff is very pleasant and accommodating. Many good draft and food selections. Our food prepared well and we would go back. read more

I like the food, been a couple times. The loud music is to much which is unfortunate as I'm close by. Please turn it down!

First time there and was pleasantly surprised at how happening the place was. Nice ambiance, excellent food and great service. Will definitely go back! read more

Food is pretty good, but service-- not so much. Phones weren't working so I drove in to place a takeout order. i stood at the host stand for over 5 minutes and wasn't acknowledged by anyone, so I went to the bar. About 10 more minutes passed there before a bartender came over (I would have left at this point but the parking lot was full and I had already committed to sticking it out). My order was placed quickly when I was finally acknowledged (thankfully I looked up the menu online rather than waiting to be given a menu), but in that 15ish minutes of waiting I was able to observe a lot of lackadaisical service. Certainly no sense of urgency in any of the staff that I saw, and there were quite a few people working. I felt badly for the numerous elderly people who came in and waited and waited by the door without being addressed. When I mentioned the phones not working to a host/server(???), the response was "oh...weird" with a shrug. The place was pretty busy for a Tuesday so I suppose even with mediocre service, they are still doing a decent business. read more
