Went for a Valentine's Day brunch with friends!…read more Food - incredibly good, I highly recommend the breakfast poutine. Lots of flavor and the kielbasa was amazing! My bf got the corned beef hash, he mentioned it was good but very dry. He was rather eating my plate more than his own. I would say the corned beef hash is interesting as it has homefries mixed in, which was a bit much for us. Service - quick, got us in and got all of our orders correct even with a full house. We waited approx. 40 mins for a table though for 6 people even though we were quoted 20 mins. Ambiance - the ambiance was good, it's a nice little restaurant and has nice waitresses/waiters. However, for such a busy place, there is literally no parking due to it being so packed. Also, they don't take reservations on weekends, which makes it even tougher. Overall, good experience (besides the wait) and everyone had great food!

There was only parking on the street, but since it was a weekday, it was easy to park out front. We got the waffle with bananas foster, Nutella crepe and a side of bacon. The portions were big, but the waffle became soggy from the toppings. Since it wasn't crowded, it was quiet and calm. The drinks menu looked fun!

It was good, wish the bread was different and crispier but dip itself was tasty. We also tried the fire cracker shrimp. It was also good just wished it had a bit more heat. The kitchen is open to the dining room, nice, clean open.. but then the cooking team has an audience in the dining room. I don't think they know? I certainly appreciate 110 Grill being open later than most, but it puts a bummer on dinner to hear how much they didn't want to be working, got screwed with that shift, or found their stations in disarray, whatever. I don't let my kids use that much foul language at the dinner table, but here we had to just kind of pretend we weren't dining to a chorus of f-bombs and excrement. Maybe it's usually busier/louder in the dining room and doesn't reverberate through? I'm telling you it was weird, man. There was some humorous irony to the excellent front of the house. Friendly, cheerful, professional, and helpful. For all the grumbling, the food came out of the kitchen just fine. Cuban sandwich was tasty, but could have used some kind of sauce or moist anything.

The flavor wasn't amazing but the bread was very fresh. And i was dry. The salad was as expected. The dressing was a little greasy. But the service was really good.

But the quality and service were very good, so if you're OK with spending a bit, it might be fine. Friends tell me I should have just swiped left on a dating suggestion for someone who says "the man should pay" on first date. She had picked the venue, and when we sat down immediately bought a mixed drink (before noon) and an expensive entree without consulting me. Not that I think a woman needs to consult a man, but then again I don't think a man should always be the one to pay either. Was any of that the restaurant's fault? Not exactly. But the fact that the prices seemed more than I'd ordinarily want to pay for lunch didn't help that event be successful. Or maybe it did. Maybe she is just happy with a lot of first dates where the other person buys and then, like me, doesn't ask again. Personally, I would recommend other venues for a first date. But, then again, if you're looking for something a little upscale, this might be fine. I'd compare it to the Cheesecake Factory, for example, but maybe with fewer dessert options.
