Scripts is Lockport's shining star! Or should I say shining 5 stars! The atmosphere is welcoming and clean. The staff - I hate to call them that as they are are like friends as soon as they take care of you - are fantastical! The owners, Johnny and Nicole want nothing but the best for everyone from ingredients used, presentation, service to comfort. The food wether breakfast lunch or early dinner is outstanding. My favorites are the wraps but be sure to sample the homemade soups . Huge delish salads are always being ordered by many and a morning breakfast sandwich is always a win! Scripts is also my go to place for a comforting latte ,chai or specialty drink to sip while relaxing with a good book. As a Lockportian I'm really grateful that Scripts has invested itself in the community and expanded a few years back to serve more. read more

I sent the following email to the owner: " I ordered a Health Nut salad and a bear claw today (Friday) at about 4:00 PM. When i looked in the glass enclosure where the pastries are kept, I noticed at least 6 or 7 houseflies flying around and landing all over the pastries. I declined the bear claw. I waited at least 20 minutes for my salad, while noticing that two people who came in several minutes after I did were served their food. The young lady at the counter had no good explanation as to why this happened. I am quite put out, as well as nauseated by this." The owner replied that everybody is having trouble with "fruitflies" right now. These were houseflies, not fruitflies. She also said that perhaps the people who were served ahead of me may have called the order in ahead. However, the counter person never offered that. She said she didn't know why it happened. Bottom line, I was given no acceptable explanation for either problem and was pretty much told to buzz off, like the flies in the pastries! NOT GOING BACK TO SCRIPTS CAFE! read more

This is a great little café to grab a great tasting sandwich... if they feel like making it for you. They claim that they are open until 6:00pm, but don't waste your time going if it is past 5:15pm. I have been there 2 times where it was around 5:20pm - 5:30pm where they refused customers coming in the door a sandwich to go or even a coffee, as they "have already cleaned up the machine". I also watched them ask a man who was eating a sandwich and reading the paper if they could pack up the rest of his sandwich to go, as they were closing in 15 minutes. They did this as they were sweeping up around our table. Rude. I also agree with others that the portions are much smaller if you order food to go. I ordered a quinoa bowl and swear there was less than a cup. Too bad their service and manners weren't more professional, as it could be a great little regular place to visit. read more

The atmosphere of their new shop is really nice. Reminds me of eating at a cool cafe in New York or Toronto. We love coming here for breakfast. I highly recommend the homemade pop tarts! read more

They have salads. that's all I can say to be positive. In Lockport where most people think Iceberg lettuce is a good thing, they stand alone in having salads. But as soon as another good salad place pops up I'll be there. The seats are cold by the window. They don't have consistently yet. The portion of the sandwich I just ordered is so small. is this a joke? I'm waiting for them to finish making a sub at Papa Leos down the road now so I can take that for my man as well. A great location next to the Historic Palace Theater makes this a perfect place to stop in before rehearsal or a show. I don't drink coffee, but the hot chocolate is good and the service is great. It's a cozy space that also smells pretty nice. One of these days I need to try the food. read more

Cute cafe with a very friendly staff and delicious food! The Half Baked cookies offered there are out of this world!! Must go early before they sell out for the day. It is difficult for me to find words to describe Scripts Cafe because every thought that starts ends with "mmmmmmmm" and a happy dance. I have yet to select an option from the creatively named menu options, weather that be soup, sandwich, side or dessert! Stumbled across this place while on the road for work. We were driving across the Buffalo area early, needing some place that did coffee as well as lunch as we'd be getting here around 10 and having to bounce fed around 11:30am before our next appointment. Downtown Lockport is charming, and this place was perfect. We got our coffee and we were spoiled for choice with the soups and salads. I grew up in San Francisco. I'm a California girl, I'd like to think in the best sort of way: laid back, but liking quality foods made with fresh meat and veg. Scripts does this perfectly: good food, no pretension, reasonable prices. Had we been feeling more like a sandwich, that also would have been great. The white bean-kale soup *could* have had more beans we both agreed, but the salad (we both also opted for the Christopher) was above and beyond. I know I'll be back in the area for work, so this will become my lunch spot. Great coffee, great food, great staff. read more

Went for lunch. They have a great lunch menu. I liked the option of chips vs. greens. They have a good drink variety in the cooler and I saw other drink options on the menu (coffee, smoothies, etc.) I liked the decor and I appreciated the details: free water with lemon on the side wall, wood tables, great lighting...I had a positive experience there. read more

This a trendy little cafe on Main Street Lockport right next to the iconic Palace Theatre. With free Wifi, great coffee selections along with cool sandwiches as well as numerous other options to choose from, this place is a fabulous place to just hang out. Only feedback would be to add menus by the door because the line can get long and the menu board is a bit overwhelming to have to choose from with people waiting behind you. The coffee is excellent. They have lots of options to make your coffee exactly how you like it. The staff was friendly and they do offer free WiFi. The building is a little small so many people get their coffee to go. I wish the building was a little bigger, more relaxing and quieter so I could come and do school work and enjoy a coffee but overall it is a great place. I highly recommend. read more

Excellent breakfast sandwiches all around for us. Coffee was (as expected) very good and a nice modest selection of teas. Exactly the type of place I've been searching for in Lockport. Cute, clean, fun interior decor. Staff members were very friendly and prompt with my order. Vast menu, with many healthy items to choose from. After some debate with myself I quickly ordered the Matthew panini(grilled chicken, applewood bacon, cheddar, sweet chili mayo on ciabatta). There were many sandwiches, salads, and soups I would of also loved to try. Along with my sammie I chose a white mocha expresso over ice, which was also super yummy. I will be back for more Scripts! Just had lunch here today because my co-worker recommended it. I expected it to be similar to an overpriced Starbucks, but surprisingly is was the opposite. The salad was nice and perfectly portioned as a side, and the dressing tasted more like it was homemade rather than light and watery. The wrap I got was called the Southwestern, and it was delicious. You can tell that everything they serve has a healthy kick to it, and on top of that, the customer service is the cherry on top. (also highly recommend the Mint Lemonade) read more
