My husband and I just got married here and it was perfect!! From the moment we took our tour of the venue until the very end of the evening of our wedding their staff was extremely helpful and easy to work with and made sure everything went off seamlessly. We got ready in the bungalow which was perfect - it has ample space, a full kitchen and multiple bathrooms and bedrooms for getting ready and just hanging out before your wedding. Their grounds are just so beautiful it is the perfect place for an outdoor wedding. Additionally, their preferred vendors list has some great options, we were really happy with all of our vendors. Their event staff made sure that all of the vendors were on the same page leading up to the wedding and that night so we didn't have to worry about anything. We just completed our daughters wedding at Scribner Bend. Its a beautiful place and a perfect setting for a wedding. There are a couple of things to be wary of before signing the contract. One the beverage package is the bulk of the cost and you probably wont use it all so get the least volume you can get. It is over half the cost of the venue. In other venues you can bring your own thus being able to control the costs and what you serve. This is a negative in regards to wedding costs. Two its almost impossible to get your pictures done well before the event. They dont allow you to roam the property because its open to the public right before your wedding. So you have no privacy to get your wedding pictures done well before the event except at the bungalow which isnt very picturesque.They dont really tell you that so think through it. We did not have a good experience in that regard and our pictures were messed up because of it. You also dont have alot of set up time before the event they dont let you start until 3pm which is super rushed if you are doing it yourself. You have to pay extra for any vendors you bring in, we did use one of their vendors (a cake lady) but it wasnt that great. You only get 4 hours at the venue which is very rushed when you are spending over 10k on a wedding, so consider that as well. We also were charged for 'damages' at the bungalow and they kept our deposit, for a couple of curling iron burns. So watch your people if you rent the bungalow. We did not have a rowdy crowd so that was disappointing. Overall it is very beautiful but they do nickel and dime you all along the way and its is a very rushed experience because of it being open to the public. Good Luck read more

My husband and I just got married here this past weekend and it couldn't have gone any better! First, when we were looking for venues we spoke with Kelley. She was so helpful and made us feel comfortable in knowing that our day would all be taken care of. Throughout the planning process she was very responsive and was very easy to work with. We knew the general idea of what we wanted from day one, but of course things changed as the wedding crept closer and closer, and none of it seemed to be a problem. The day of, we didn't have to worry about anything. Kelley and the staff at Scribner took care of everything, and made sure that the day moved along and that we were completely taken care of. If there were any hiccups, we didn't know about them, and still don't! Of course the venue itself is beautiful, and the tent made all the difference. The wind didn't affect dinner at all (it was an unusually windy day for July), and the breeze was perfect during dancing and cocktail hour. You don't need any decorations to make the site beautiful, but they will definitely help you out as far as set-=up goes if you do. We highly recommend Scribner as a venue for anything! read more

This is a beautiful winery in a stunning location; well worth the 15 minute drive from downtown Sacramento. The owners/staff are lovely people who always take the time to visit with us and discuss wine in general. The Fiano is my favorite white in the region. Living as we do, so close to many wonderful wineries, this is the only club membership we have at the moment, and I don't have any plans to cancel. Do yourself a favor and visit! read more

My husband and I got married at Scribner Bend this past September. Karen was our first point of contact there, and she was the one that showed us around and walked us through everything wedding-wise initially. Right off the bat we were impressed with how organized, thoughtful, and nice she was - it really made Scribner stand out compared to the other venues we had toured. Not to mention just how incredibly beautiful the entire property is! We also appreciated having access to the wonderful bungalow on-site so that me and my bridesmaids could get ready right there on the day of the wedding! Jessica was our wedding coordinator, and she was just as organized and on top of everything. The day of the wedding, everything was perfect. Michelle was the day-of coordinator, and she was FABULOUS. She made sure everything was just right, and put both me and my husband's minds at ease throughout the entire ceremony and reception. Scribner Bend was the first place we visited when researching wedding sites and we booked a date immediately - which was smart because they were almost full for wedding parties one year ahead. We worked with Jessica. She is knowledgeable and very good at answering questions quickly and thoroughly. She is always positive and upbeat, and worked to make our daughter's wedding unique to her vision. We rented the bungalow for the wedding day, which was such a nice thing to do. Having the bride onsite getting ready was a real treat. The wedding itself was well coordinated by Michelle and it ran very smoothly. The ceremony garden is lovely, and the tent and dancing area are magical at night. We highly recommend Scribner Bend Vineyards for any celebration! read more

We don't typically review, but we had to this. Where do we start? Scribner Bend Vineyard (SBV) felt "homey" the minute we walked onto the vineyard. The downward slope into the vineyard felt like you were driving into a separate world. My, now, wife and I felt comfortable the minute we walked onto the grounds. We were met with an arch of white roses, a huge dining area and smiles from staff as we walked into their tasting room. We were looking for venues for our wedding in late November. SBV was our last stop after visiting several potential ones. Then we met Kelley and Karen, the wedding coordinators. They were Awesome!!! We could not have asked for a better combo. They were very responsive to our questions.....and we had A LOT of them!!! Whether it was by email or call, one of them covered for each other and we got our answers right away. As for service on the night of our wedding, the staff was phenomenal. Our guests felt cozy and kept commenting to us that it was elegant, and that everyone was so nice. The staff does a great job of making you feel like you are SBV family. We only had our reception there, so our cocktail hour started with a short walk through vines into a grassy open space surrounded by grape vines. What a nice touch. As for a late November wedding, they fixed it up with heaters in the dining area.....It was great. Kudos to SBV for a job well done on our wedding night. SBV is very hospitable and elegant and we're happy to be members of their wine club. Finally, the wine. SBV's selections are great. For those who like the sweeter wines, try the Sparkling Almond Wine and Vognier...our favorite is Blackhat. read more

My husband and I got married here on June 23, 2018, and it was absolutely amazing. Scribner Bend is BEAUTIFUL! I highly recommend for a wedding venue! And Jessica Scott is just UNBELIEVABLE! She is the best wedding coordinator I could have ever dreamed of having. I'm pretty sure we emailed each other at least once a week, every week since I booked the venue (in February 2017)...she put up with a lot of emails from me, but was SO helpful. She went above and beyond. When I mentioned that we were thinking of bringing in our own beer (kegs) to the wedding, she did research and informed me about places in Sacramento that have keg services (Beers in Sac--which I also highly recommend). In addition, she was my coordinator the day of the wedding and did a great job "quarter-backing" the ceremony and reception. I am so thankful she was there for my wedding day (as she almost wasn't able to). I highly highly highly recommend Scribner Bend Vineyards for your wedding! In addition, they have phenomenal wine! We went to SBV multiple times before the wedding to do some wine tasting, of which we highly recommend their wine as well! read more

Be sure to stop here on your visit to Clarksburg area. The setting is lovely, and the tasting room staff is so fun. Five of us stopped here on our way to Bogle and the Sugar Mill, it was the first time for four of our group. All of us loved the wines, especially the chardonnays, red blend and the sparkling almond wine (which Nate blended with port). The picnic area is lovely, and you can buy pizzas there on certain days. Be sure to stop in when Nate is there, we all voted him the best Tasting Room Employee of our weekend. read more

Location is beautiful, simply beautiful! Wines are good. Parking isn't too bad. They do charge to taste - which is a bummer.. but as with most wineries, waived if you buy a bottle. Planned to have snacks and wine with friends there for my 30th birthday and called to reserve tables, Kelley was super nice & didn't have a problem reserving tables for us to sit at outside. My fiance called her right after I did to up the head count & advise of the birthday celebration. The two of them worked everything out without my knowledge, making the surprise they plotted amazing. She even came & found me while I was tasting and introduced herself and told me happy birthday & gave kudos to my fiance for his work. She really was a key player in the surprise and the location is stunning. read more

My husband and I held our wedding here at Scribner on September 29, 2018 and we could not have been more pleased. The professionalism of the staff from our very first visit and tour, to the many emails along the way, made us feel cared for like family. Every detail was carefully considered both in the planning and the day of. We love all the different locations around the property, and renting the bridal bungalow is a must! The menu we chose from Paesano's was incredible, the quick lines at the bars and the timing of our evening, along with the picturesque landscape are just a few reasons why we are constantly getting compliments from our guests. Over the months leading up to our wedding, we stopped in often to enjoy events such as the Chili Cook Off, and eventually became wine club members. We brought our families and friends to the winery for lunch many times and look forward to our first visit back as a married couple. I can't express enough how WONDERFUL EVERYONE at Scribner Bend was! I worked with both Karen and Kelley and they were fantastic! The venue is beautiful and I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day to marry the man of my dreams. I have two kids and the youngest one is a chatter box and enjoys being entertained! Karen and Kelley were so sweet and kind to him and kept him entertained by letting him collect walnuts! The day after our wedding he told his dad and I that he wanted to get married at Scribner because he loved their walnuts...lol They were so great at coordinating everything and making sure all of my vendors were on the same page. I didn't know it but it turned out my cake was late in getting delivered. THAT'S how great they are....they handled and took care of everything themselves! Their wine selection is amazing also. I received so many compliments on how gorgeous and beautiful the venue was. I would recommend Scribner Bend to anyone in a heart beat! We had our wedding here over a year ago and when I look back, I wish I could say I get the warm and fuzzies about this place. However, there was one incident that soured my feelings about this venue. We had a final meeting with the coordinators a few weeks before our wedding to go over details and decorations. At that time, I had specifically asked about hanging lanterns from the canopy, which BOTH coordinators had ok'd. We were also told the earliest we could decorate was 2pm, 2 hours before the reception. Well, when we get there, I ask the coordinator about hanging the lanterns. She tells me the tables had already been set and that they would be in the way of the ladder needed for hanging the lanterns. She says it would have been better if they had had the lanterns before the tables were set. Well, they should have told me that at the final meeting, but since they didn't, I asked if there was anyway they could hang the lanterns still. They found a ladder and started hanging them, but soon after the owner approaches me and says they couldn't hang any more because it was too dangerous for her employees. They had gotten 3 up by that time and wouldn't hang any more no matter what I said. I was stressed out enough with guests arriving early and still needing to finish decorations so I let it go. Throughout the whole evening we had 3 ridiculously hanging lanterns from the canopy, which also looks a bit ridiculous in our wedding photos. Overall we had a good time at our wedding, but I am still reminded of the stress and time and money wasted on those lanterns when I see our photos. I would exercise caution in booking this venue. You may need to check and double check details before your wedding day, but really, which bride has time to do that? That should really be the coordinator's job. They're supposed to be detail-oriented and had they told me to drop off the lanterns early, I would have. Or they should have told me no lanterns before my wedding day at least. That would have been way better than telling me the day of and leaving me with a reception that looked unfinished. read more

We just held our wedding at Scribner Bend Vineyards, and their staff and venue more than exceeded our expectations. Karen, the event manager, was the reason why we booked the venue in the first place because she was very warm and welcoming. She was extremely helpful as we progressed along the planning stages ensuring us that we would have a fabulous event. Before the wedding we took family members to the venue to get a pre-wedding look, and the owner gave us a personal tour of the wedding grounds. The venue was just remodeled before our wedding, and made the venue even more lovely than it was originally (which was still magnificent). During the final planning stages Karen laid out the plan for the event according to our wishes, and she contacted the various vendors to ensure we were all coordinated. The day of the wedding, Kelly, was our onsite support person, and she was a pro. I could see her moving about the grounds to ensure the venue was perfect for our special day. The ceremony was lovely as we were surrounded by grape vines and white roses. Our photographer was able to shoot pictures of us among the vines, and they proved spectacular. After our ceremony the wind started to pick up a bit, so seamlessly, Kelly, reorganized the reception area to accommodate the dance floor (which originally would have been out in the open). This change ensured our guest could enjoy dancing without becoming cold. All throughout the evening, I could tell our guests were enjoying themselves and having fun. We wanted a venue that would make our wedding memorable, and Scribner Bend Vineyards proved to be a perfect choice. I recommend Scribner Bend Vineyards for your wedding celebration! read more
