This beautiful and cozy winery couldn't be any better if you are looking for a spacious and elegant venue! My wife and I recently found this diamond in the rough to host an event and it turned out amazing! The owner was so generous and to offer things that could help enrich our guests experiences and even helped set up the setting with barrels, tables, outside curtains blowing in the wind and so many other things that added the beautiful detail to bring out the already beautiful winery's attributes. I would definitely recommend this place for any event big or small and because of all the hospitality the owner and his family provided, we cannot thank them enoughperfect and heart warming would be some words to describe our experience here

They have a large grass area where you can bring your picnic blanket or lawn chairs and relax while you enjoy their live performances. They have a variety of food and wine choices to select from. Unfortunately we were a large group and I didn't get a chance for food/drink pictures so you'll just have to see for yourself! Looking forward to warm weather and more afternoons in the sun here.

For a "wine tasting" you pick four wines you'd like to try and I was able to take it outside like a flight to enjoy with my lunch and the music. Could have used a bit of a bigger pour on the flight, but it was intended to be a tasting ($20; they'll refund $10 if you buy a bottle) Great outdoor space. Plenty of seating and shade (2 pavilions with ceiling fans, tables with umbrellas, adirondack chairs under misters, etc). Some people brought their own camping chairs/ beach chairs and let their kids run around on the lawn, what a nice way for the whole family to enjoy the day there. Only possible downside or FYI for vegan folks, the only thing they have that's vegan on the food menu is a cheeseless vegi pizza (made of bread, vegis, sauce I think, no cheese or cheese alternative). The regular pizza dough is vegan but the gf cauliflower crust is not (has egg at least). Would have been nice to see a dairy alternative cheese to have actual [vegan] cheese on the pizza or could make the vegetable sandwich vegan with a cheese alternative as well. Nice place, good wine, nice staff, good food, great to have the live music.

What a lovely surprise. We had a great relaxing afternoon,…read moreenjoyed some awesome wine and ate some delicious food here. We didn't know what to expect, but we were quickly greeted as soon we walked in and taken to the patio. I made reservations but we arrived a bit early and they accommodated us. We did come to try the wine but we were starving as we took advantage of the fact that they have a restaurant there and ordered the burger and the pastrami sandwich. I think I've said it before but I will never ever NOT get the burger if I see it on the menu. For our wine, the better half got the chocolate pairing flight and i got a flight that consisted of the pomegranate sparkling wine which was so refreshing in that heat, the chard, and their Petite Syrah. Her pairing came with a flight of 5 and 5 chocolates (fudge) and we've never done a chocolate pairing before so this was a fun and palate opening experience. All were delicious, if I weren't so far I'd totally join their wine club. There was a live musician which gave the whole place a cool vibe. The only thing that wasn't cool was that weather but thank goodness we were seated under a fan and a covering that had misters!!! What a great touch. The grounds were well manicured but we didn't walk around much due to the heat. And the price is so reasonable, my flight was only $10 and hers was $18. The food was in the $25 or so ballpark. This awesome experience for under $100 is such a deal.

I was excited to try their pomegranate peach sparkling wine and the rosé pnot noir although I'm more of a straight red pinot noir. I don't like sparkling anything but I was willing to give it a try out of curiosity. I would go for the pomegranate sparkling wine the other two I'll pass. I still like to try the vgonier. Sad that they didn't have the chicken poutine anymore, wanted to try it. Ben Cole was playing he's a great singer, the music was great and everything was perfect. One minor thing was we had to wait a little bit for our check but the server was super nice and I understand he was just a little busy so we'll let that slide. Five stars and definitely will be back.

On to my thoughts of the Cellar.. just know my experience may not be the same as yours, this was a wine tasting / food pairing event... That being said, the Wines here are excellent . This Wine Cellar property is impressive, I was not able to do a walk around all the way but where its at , is in the back! Atleast this event.. The back area, has seating, tables and beautiful view, looking into the Vineyards, and if you come during sunset, it can be a very romantic date, or just friends, Im not judging.. lol... We had an amazing sunset, the pictures didnt do it justice. For most of our little adventure stayed in the back, had a few food booths all very good food, I loved the barn and the atmosphere around, it felt rustic with a splash of greenery since its every where, just beautiful, everything was just prefect.. And I forgot the staff, super friendly, very knowledgeable with there history of the Cellar, and the wines themselves. The Wine tastings were special, each one.. they paired with with a thin Artisan Pizza, or a popcorn, flavored of course, the pizza samples were amazing, and then bought a small pizza, very yummy. .. The wine bottles them selves are Elegant in any light, I loved the wines we got to taste, and well , Ok, so we might have skipped taste 4 and 6 and jumped in line at the WineBar, for a glass of one of the whites we enjoyed earlier in the evening.. I recommend Christopher Cellars to anyone in the area, or out of the area, looking for a nice weekend getaway, Elk grove is starting to look really good... And I love all the family owned businesses ...

As I exited my vehicle I heard some old school music and immediately noticed the vibe! This is a hidden gem in Sacramento. UNBELIEVABLE!! We were greeted by Paul the manager. He checked on us often even though there were many people here. My wife and I talked about it and ended up joining their membership. The wine is amazing. We even enjoyed the whites which we normally don't prefer. Paul suggested us to walk around and enjoy the winery area, which we did. It's so beautiful. We did run into Sandeep who was so nice. The Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg is a historic beet sugar refinery from 1934-1993 that has wine shops and tasting rooms for local wineries. They have over a dozen wineries. Wine tastings average $15 and most wineries waive the fee if you buy a bottle. They have wine shops in the main building and in the other building. Don't forget to walk back and to the right to the shops in the separate back building, there is 3-4 more wineries. Each winery are literal walled shops with their own seating areas. Temperature controlled which is nice on hot summer days. Each have their own wine tasting, food offerings, and special events. Old Sugar Mill is less than 15 minute drive from downtown Sacramento. The buildings are beautiful. They kept the historic brick walls and exterior. It has a modern shabby chic look. Three different brands owned the refinery. It all began in 1934 with Amalgamated, American Crystal Sugar Factory (1936-1982), and Delta Sugar (1983-1993). The sugar was refined by local Northern Californian grown beets. The buildings was renovated in 2000 for its current use. Awesome concept and beautiful architecture design. They also host weddings and events. They have a banquet room with slideshow equipment. There is also an outdoor lawn and adjoining paved patio area that is shaded in the afternoon by the buildings that would make for a gorgeous wedding venue. On hot summer days, the Delta breeze kicks in for instant cool down. No outside food are picnics are allowed. On the weekends, they have food trucks. Plus the majority of the wineries sell food (appetizers) as well. Also no pets are allowed (excluding service animals). The restrooms are located right by the front entrance.
