Comedy Under the Stars- another great show. $10. If you order ahead of time. $12. At the door. Leave the kids at home and enjoy an evening with fun adults. Laguna Town Hall hosts many events throughout the year. Great location. Get there early to find close parking.

We got married at Scribner Bend in May 2025 and it was a dream from start to finish!…read more Scribner Bend was the only venue we visited during our wedding planning process because we felt so pleased with the beauty, charm, pricing, and process they offered. We were especially pleased by how much was included in the venue package that we didn't have to coordinate separately, like lighting, tables, and chairs. Shaye was an absolute delight to work with and we always felt cared for. As a queer couple, it was so nice to feel welcomed and accepted by Scribner Bend and all of their preferred vendors we spoke with. May was the perfect time to be there, the white roses on the arches were in bloom which complemented the rest of our florals beautifully. Our whole day flowed so smoothly thanks to Deija, our day-of planner provided by Scribner Bend, and all of the rest of the staff. All of our guests were so complimentary of the wine, the setting, and the flow of the evening. We really could not have wished for a better venue experience. We also want to note, Paesanos was an exceptional caterer! I know some might be concerned with not having a choice of caterer but we found it to be a relief (one less vendor to coordinate) and Paesanos did a fantastic job. Rain was amazing at communication, and Diana was wonderful to work with on the day. They even packed up a couple of containers of leftovers for us to go home with. Thank you, Scribner Bend, for being an excellent venue!

Loved everything about this place! This was my first visit,…read morerecommended by my husband's friend who works here. The venue is beautifully designed and cozy everywhere you look! Just being there feels so relaxing, and the patio is dog-friendly too! The staff were warm and attentive, the food was delicious, and the wine tasting was an absolute delight. I can't wait to come back again soon!

The only charges on the receipt is the hotel charges. When I calculated my receipts, this is correct. Im glad I decided to contact corporate, because it isn't my intention to provide misinformation and tarnished the hotel reputation. I tried to remove the review but wasn't able to. Other than the mistake regarding the charges, the hotel stay accommodations were great!

However, my coworkers and myself were being billed varied amounts every morning, ranging from 150 to almost 600 dollars. When we asked the front desk why we were being billed all these fees when the hotel stay was already paid in full? They immediately became defensive and evasive and refused to provide any information. The manager was contacted and after a brief discussion she confirmed there was a mistake and unusual billing from the night shift. We were provided a receipt that was clearly fabricated and did not match any of the amounts deducted from our accounts. On the morning of check out employees refused to provide me with a receipt and finally when the manager showed up she provided a receipt that did not match the charges. This was the worst experience as we have received no answers or refunds and were told to wait 72 hours for a possible return of payment.

I walked into their lobby and was amazed how beautiful and high tech the interior design looked. I loved it! I booked my stay and was on the 2nd floor of the 3 story hotel. My room overlooked the pool. They are in the middle of renovations and soon this hotel will be even better...hard to believe. I went to breakfast which was free and was again amazed at what had changed in the world. The first was a pancake machine where you just push a button and you can watch 2 pancakes get poured, moved on a conveyer belt as they cook and then drop onto your plate. Be sure to have your plate ready..haha. The breakfast bar was clean and well stocked with eggs, sausage, oatmeal and so much more. The coffee station was fantastic. It is open 24 hours and you choose your coffee beans, had decaf, if you know me, lol, then the coffee machine brewed and then poured my coffee. A truly fantastic coffee station. My room was so beautiful and clean with so many nice touches. I love the dove hand wash and body lotion. Love it here tub and shower shampoo, conditioner and body wash. So many towels and a fridge and microwave. The bed was soft with 4 pillows. A nice size tv and the room was just lovely. Souzan checked me in with kindness and professional style and I decided to become a Holiday sink Express member right then. Even though I am only here one night, I will definitely cone back here to Elk Grove Holiday Inn Express again. It is also next to Mimi's Cafe and Old Navy. What a great location. Thank you all, see you again. Julie A

Shoutout to the West Sacramento/ Clarksburg area…read more... The Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg is a historic beet sugar refinery from 1934-1993 that has wine shops and tasting rooms for local wineries. They have over a dozen wineries. Wine tastings average $15 and most wineries waive the fee if you buy a bottle. They have wine shops in the main building and in the other building. Don't forget to walk back and to the right to the shops in the separate back building, there is 3-4 more wineries. Each winery are literal walled shops with their own seating areas. Temperature controlled which is nice on hot summer days. Each have their own wine tasting, food offerings, and special events. Old Sugar Mill is less than 15 minute drive from downtown Sacramento. The buildings are beautiful. They kept the historic brick walls and exterior. It has a modern shabby chic look. Three different brands owned the refinery. It all began in 1934 with Amalgamated, American Crystal Sugar Factory (1936-1982), and Delta Sugar (1983-1993). The sugar was refined by local Northern Californian grown beets. The buildings was renovated in 2000 for its current use. Awesome concept and beautiful architecture design. They also host weddings and events. They have a banquet room with slideshow equipment. There is also an outdoor lawn and adjoining paved patio area that is shaded in the afternoon by the buildings that would make for a gorgeous wedding venue. On hot summer days, the Delta breeze kicks in for instant cool down. No outside food are picnics are allowed. On the weekends, they have food trucks. Plus the majority of the wineries sell food (appetizers) as well. Also no pets are allowed (excluding service animals). The restrooms are located right by the front entrance.

They have many events here, including private events and wedding. The upcoming event is Port and Chocolate for Valentine's Day. That sounds so delicious. I loved chocolate and my husband is always up to trying another port. Parking- They have a private lot and we were able to easily find a parking spot right in-front of the entrance. Bathrooms- They have many stalls in the bathroom located to the left of the entrance. Temperature- It's cool inside, a little too cool for us today. It was 63 degrees out today and warm in the sun. I bet in the sweltering heat of our summers this is the perfect place to be. The Sugar Mill is an indoor venue. They have three different building with different wineries at this time. So, there is a little walking outside. Wine Barrels- You can buy half wine barrels for your garden for sale. Seating- They have lots of little seating areas. Inside they have a whole room with seating and nice decor. The tables are draped in white table cloths and there are stacks of wine barrels as the back drop. They have a palm court in the back and it's so quaint and beautiful. Perfect for sipping some wine slowly and chit chatting with friends. If you are looking to sit in the sun there is are a set of tables and chairs out back near the food truck. Ambiance- I love the location and building. It's an old Sugar Mill that produced sugar from sugar beets. That industry has now ended and it's now a place to visit many wineries. It's the only place that I know of that have numerous wineries and offer wine tasing for a minimum fee.
