Staff here is super friendly and warm. I was greeted promptly and shown to a table right away. My waitress was attentive. The decor is conventional. The restroom was clean. The menu nicely includes several gluten free options, including a quinoa breakfast cereal. The food here is very straightforward. I tried the corned beef hash and eggs. For the price ($5.99), I was not expecting homemade hash. And what I got was probably canned (I doubt anyone in this kitchen has the knife skills to cube potatoes this uniformly small.). I tried to order poached eggs, and the waitress suggested "basted." Not the same, but close enough. The quinoa came with truly 5 pieces of banana in a small cup. This seemed a little skimpy to me. The milk and brown sugar were adequate, however. I was satisfied with my experience here. If you are looking for a Denny's/IHOP/Bob Evans type experience, this chain delivers that. If they are reaching for higher, they have some work to do on the food side. According to their website, they are located in Toledo, and will help you get a franchise. Delicious! I am really picky about eggs and do not usually get eggs at restaurants. The menu had a lot of great omelette options do I decided to try one. Both my boyfriend and I got omelettes and premium bacon. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly! Our waitress was extremely friendly and prompt in serving us. The food is fresh and we'll presented. Tastes are great. I loved the south of the border omelette. I do wish the sourdough toast was a little more sour. I like that bite. The boyfriend and I decided to visit for breakfast. The decor was trendy (without being over the top) and the staff was friendly. It has a small town diner feel (even though it's attached to a mall). Not exactly what I was expecting. The breakfast food was dry, flavorless, and over all unappealing. Even the most simple items seem to be difficult. I understand it's a new place at this point. But if your specialty is breakfast it should be something that's served with perfection. I will say though that the servers and staff were very attentive. This is my new favorite breakfast spot. They have endless griddle. You can switch between pancakes , waffles , stuffed French toast. I have tried all three and lived them all. They waffle is so sweet that you don't really need syrup. I would recommend this place for your breakfast needs. The kids meals are nice too read more

We had a horrible experience here. We put our names in for call ahead seating (party of 5) and showed up on time. After 15 minutes of waiting, we noticed other parties walking in, recording their names, and getting seated right away. I gently reminded the hostess that we were here just in case they forgot. After 25 minutes, we were beginning to wonder what the point of call-ahead seating was. If we just walked in off the street, it would be perfectly reasonable to wait this long. At the 30 minute mark, we asked if there was anything they could do for us since we have been waiting patiently for half an hour. She grabbed some menus and led us to an open table. Immediately a waiter explained that they "had 2 parties of 20" coming in and therefore they had no room for us. We left the restaurant and found another place to eat. The bottom line is that the staff is unorganized and poorly managed. We will not return or recommend this place to anyone. read more

I was greeted by a very nice woman with a smile and was promptly seated. The waiter was attentive, but he didn't hover, and answered all of my questions. I had egg whites, bacon, and a biscuit. The eggs were great, no yoke was mixed in, as sometimes happens, the biscuit had a wonderful flavor and they actually gave me enough fresh butter to use, not the prepackaged rock hard margarine many places offer. Me and my husband ate here 3 times so far we both get the special thick bacon with the classicmeal and eggs and man oh man! the food is very good get alot of it too and them pancakes is huge! the most recent time we went the food could have been hotter. but it was better after they fixed it. We had a good talk with the young man with the bird tattoos he had us laughing and really made our last time the best one so far. I have been to this location a couple of times. The food itself is pretty good, nothing to rave about, but the pancakes are usually flavorful and fluffy. During this visit, I made only one request: that my hash browns be extra crispy. I was very disappointed to see sad, white, floppy potatoes come out with my meal, especially as the menu says "made to order" under the words hash browns on the menu. All in all, my experience her was very positive. Its always a good sign when the host holds the door open and our server (a young man by the name of Nick) Was very helpful and attentive. I had the Monte Cristo sandwhich, on his recommendation, and it was quite tasty. I would never have thought to put a turkey sandwhich on french toast. It was very unique. We also got the entire meal 15% simply because my wife and I are senior citizens. Nick just went ahead and gave it to us - we had no idea we got that. I will definitly be returning. Second visit to this new place. They are not trained or set up for handicap access. No designated places for parking near place and ramp is at end of the sidewalk; away from the door. The staff upon seeing a wheelchair coming in the door did not assist in holding either door. They were not busy but just watched standing waiting for us to enter. It would have been of some help with the heavy doors. The hostess did seat us at a near table and did think to ask if we needed a chair removed. She then pointed to the chair we could move and I assumed this meant I needed to move such; so I did. Hope it did not get in anyone's way as I moved it to the standing area. The bathroom was equipped for a wheelchair nicely. As to the food. The value for portion was good. The overall food was okay. The egg breakfast was properly cooked with the correct ordered items. The wait person was asked if the hash was made on site and indicated it was. It sure did not taste like such when received. It appeared to be a canned; pre-made hash with never having seen fresh corned beef or potatoes. If this was fresh they might as well used a canned product and save themselves some monies. If canned the server needs to know such. Would highly suggest they remove hash from the offerings. If you are going to serve hash do it right. It could be a great selling item in the area if done right with corned beef chopped up and the existing products the they have. Use some general seasoning; some onion on the flat top and you would be good to go. My husband and I visited the new Scrambler Marie's in Belden Village Mall at 10:30 on a Sunday morning. I expected a big crowd, but we got a table right away and the restaurant only seemed moderately busy. We were unfamiliar with the Scrambler Marie's chain in other locations and the menu looked good, so we wanted to give it a try. Overall, the experience was disappointing on two counts: service and food. As others have mentioned, the greeter was friendly, showed us to our table, and provided a pitcher of water. Our server was pleasant enough, but seemed as though she was new to waitressing. I ordered a hot tea, and she brought me a mug and array of teabags (mostly Lipton and herbal teas - disappointed it wasn't higher quality), but never brought me hot water to actually make the tea. She then proceeded to disappear for about 10 minutes. When I finally was able to track her down and ask for hot water, she was very apologetic and brought it out right away. However, it's never a good sign when your teabag doesn't steep; the water was only lukewarm. Another employee came to check on us (possibly a manager) and asked if everything was OK. I asked for hotter water, and she promptly brought out another pitcher. I ordered the avocado omelet, which was OK - not the greatest omelet I've ever eaten, but not horrible. My husband ordered a Monte Cristo sandwich, which he has ordered at many other breakfast establishments, with a side of fries. He described the fries as "dollar store quality" and said the sandwich was among the weakest Monte Cristo sandwiches he's ever eaten. Also, they give you a side of bread with the omelets - I asked for wheat, but was given white. Another mistake, but it was corrected as soon as I pointed it out. Finally, my husband noticed some sort of sign in the restaurant that said if your food comes on a blue plate, it's supposed to be free. My meal came on a blue plate, but wasn't free - even though, based on quality, it probably should have been. It's one thing if the service is below average and the food is good, but at Scrambler Marie's, this just wasn't the case for us. We likely won't be going back. read more

I may have had one of my very worst Sunday brunch experiences at this restaurant today... After reading the previous reviews, my boyfriend and I were excited to try out what appeared to be a good new breakfast place.. Boy were we in for an experience. When we arrived we were greeted at the door and seated right away, which was the only thing that went well.... We waited 15 mins and than had to flag a waiter down to order drinks... Which took another 6 minutes for a different waiter to drop off and disappear, without even offering to take our order! Against my better judgement and because of my boyfriend wanting to eat here still, we stayed, waived down another waiter and he sent a waitress over that yelled at us " I take full responsibility" (are you kidding me?!) .. This waitress took our order, I ordered eggs and hash browns and my boyfriend got a skillet thing. The food arrived quickly, brought out by yet another waiter and dropped off. There was hair and not just one strand in my hash browns... YUCK! I did not eat any of it and would have alerted the waitress or any of the waiters had they ever returned to ask.. My boyfriend who has a lot stronger of a stomach than myself ate his skillet and said it was good. He tracked one of the waiters down and he got our bill we left cash on the table. Mind you the restaurant was not busy and the waiters and waitress all stood in the back of the restaurant in plain view talking to each other. Unbelievable! read more

Went this morning. The eggs were cooked to perfection but the pieces of toast must have come from the end of the loaf as they couldn't have been any smaller. Ordered fresh fruit as the side and the fruit was adequate. What was ridiculous was the $2.29 cup of bottomless coffee. Way too expensive. Basic untasty Food, nothing spectacular. We can do much better at home. Regret coming here. My wife and I ordered a vegetarian spinach and portabella mushroom omelet. First it came with bacon sprinkled all over it. The waitress blamed the cook who handed it to her. Next, when she fixed the order, there was no portabella but ordinary mushrooms in the omelet. A friend and I went to "Scrambler" yesterday for breakfast and give it 5 star. We both enjoyed our hot and delicious breakfasts and thought the service excellent. There is an extensive menu for breakfast, especially. I had "The Lite" for 5.49. This included 3 eggs, any style, and a side dish choice (I chose hash browns), plus a choice from the bread pantry (I chose a biscuit). Very nice. My friend ordered the "Spinach and Portabella Mushroom Omelette" which came with a side of homemade salsa and a choice from the bread pantry. The omelette was made from 4 eggs so it was good-sized. Slow service! Food is very good but the last time we were in here the service was terrible and we thought to try again and same outcome. Waited 7 min at the front door with 2 babies before we even saw 1 employee. Staff was friendly but then we waited at least 10 min after we were done eating to get a check. With 2 babies it's important to get in and out as fast as possible. There were no more than 5 or 6 tables in the place the whole time so it wasn't a busy issue .. Now we see why. Sunday another couple and my husband and I decided to try this restaurant for the first time. Upon entering we asked for a table for 4 and close to the front as one gentlemen walks with a cane. The gentleman said he would look and see what he has (restaurant was 80 percent empty) we were then seated and a nice girl came over took our drink order another girl brought us a pitcher of water and 4 glasses (did not pour it) then another girl brought drink order but not right. We asked for straws and was told she would go see if she could find some never came back so stopped another girl and asked her which she told us they had been out of straws. For 2 days and truck wouldn't be her till Tuesday. 2girl who brought the drinks came back and said "well stuff happens". We decided attitude was very poor, Dollar Tree or GFS was right around the corner. So we decided it wasn't a place for us and we left. read more

We waited an HOUR for our food. Then after we got it, it wasn't even right. They made my husband the completely wrong skillet. He did receive the one pancake that he ordered on the side (that cost 4$...for one pancake...one!) Then we asked for syrup (which was never brought until we asked a completely different server). We asked them to take the wrong meal off the bill because at this point my husband wasn't going to wait another hour for another meal. Nothing else was done to comp for the wait time, or poor service, and the food that I got, that was actually correct, didn't even taste good. I noticed other people around our table having to ask several times for things, and then waiting forever to get them. One man got up from his table to ask where his muffin was that he had ordered forever ago. I swear they had to travel to the ocean to catch the crab for my Crab Cake Benedict. Which honestly just tasted like shredded crab over an overly chewy English Muffin with eggs slapped on top.
