This was one of the most disappointing breakfast experiences. The restaurant was so cold, we asked for them to turn the heat on, and it went one degree in our time there. Everyone, and truly I mean everyone, was eating with their coats on. Some even had hats and gloves on. Such an unpleasant experience to eat while shivering. Our server was extremely slow. We even started timing how long until we saw him again. Twenty minutes to get our order taken. He seemed to regularly just disappear. In his defense, he did have far too many tables. Especially when we saw 4/5 others just gathered at the waiter/waitress station. We didn't eat much!! My food was cold, cold to the touch, and certainly too cold to eat. The server never even asked if things were okay. I couldn't get him to come to the table, after our food was delivered by a runner. Then had to flag him down for our check and a box. Extremely disappointing! We eat out breakfast every Saturday and Sunday. I think it's safe to say Scramblers will not be in the rotation any more. read more

My trip to the Football Hall of Fame was well planned out, even down to the restaurants. "Scramblers" looked incredible from the menu pics, but not everything you see is as advertised. The parking lot was huge because the restaurant is part of a mall. The restaurant itself looked amazing outside, and no surprise, the interior was impressive. However, that's where the compliments end. We were seated in a booth and after a long wait, our waiter came to take our order. After that, that was the last we saw him. After we waited for our meals, I mean waited. The process was extremely slow. After we felt like walking out, our meal came. I was ready to eat. I started with the grits. And I'm sorry to say, they didn't hit the mark. They were lumpy and hard, plus the cheese had no flavor. I wonder what type of cheese they used in it. My omelette was exactly the same as the grits. No flavor and they added the wrong cheese. I figured the last hope was the biscuit. It looked impressive, but did it taste impressive. Again, no it did not. I had to drink water in between every bit because it was dry. I wanted an orange juice to wash it down but the waiter never came back. At this point I just wanted to leave. We got the check, I mean waited. The waiter never came back for it. We could have walked out, but that wouldn't sit well with me. We walked over, paid and walked away with a disappointing experience. Visited Scramblers with my Friday morning gym crew, and it was fantastic! The menu offers a fairly wide variety of options. I appreciate their early opening time at 6:30 AM, which is a rare find among breakfast spots in the Belden area. I'll definitely be adding Scramble to our regular breakfast rotation! read more

This was my third visit to scrambler, and was a serious disappointment. While we were seated quickly, we had to sit for a while until then hostess took mercy on my son and I, coming over to take our drink order. Eventually our waitress came over with our drinks and took our orders. Then we waited, waited, and waited. I observed multiple patrons, at other tables being seated, their orders taken, being served, and still we waited. Eventually I asked another server, to please have a manager come to our table. About 15 minutes after that request, our food was brought to our table, and shortly afterwards Callie the manager came to our table. I explained that after waiting so long we were no longer interested in the meal, and she apologized for the delay, and asked that we try the food as she would be comping it. Let me be clear that Callie was extremely professional and We agreed to stay. When we were having our meal our previous no-show server, decided to come over and apologize for our experience, and I admit my only response was to say "Fine". Then when we finished she promptly brought our check and announced that our meal had been discounted by 50% Not what I expected, but at this point I only wanted to leave. After dropping the check with me, the server was suddenly very attentive, and asked repeatedly if we were ready to settle our check. While the food was good, and Callie was very nice, if I ever go to Scramblers again, and am seated in this servers area, I will leave. read more

Love Scramblers, and I love their Crab Benedict. The past 3 times I've ordered this they did not toast rhe English muffin... just steamed it. It needs to be toasted with this dish, because otherwise with the Holladaise sauce it tastes to mushy, moist. You need to toast it for the correct texture. read more

My husband had the classic which was the larger version of mine. The service was good despite them being short handed. We were seated and our food was served within 15-20 minutes tops. They can't get an online order right. Why is it so hard to put in the lemon and berries on lemon berry pancakes?? To check an order you have to destroy the bag which makes for an interesting ride home. I'm done. At these prices, it's not worth it. We decided to try this breakfast spot on a whim, and I can understand why it has poor reviews. At first glance, the place gives off an "upscale" vibe with its menu descriptions, but things aren't quite as they seem. It's important to read the fine print, as certain details about the food and might catch you off guard. For example, I got the crab benedict and it seemed like it was fresh crab based on the menu description if you aren't careful in reading but really it's just a crab cake. I personally had a good experience overall and enjoyed the food I ordered. That said, the size of the pancakes were disappointingly small and very thin. For two people, our bill came out to about $65, which felt steep for what we received. The coffee was also a letdown; it was far too strong for our taste. While I wouldn't discourage anyone from giving it a try, I'd suggest entering with tempered expectations, especially when it comes to value for the price. read more

I heard good things about this restaurant, so when my aunt was visiting from the other side of Ohio and wanted to take my mom and myself out to breakfast before she left back home, we came here. I won't be back. The pros: The waitress was very nice! She let my mother order from the child's menu. My mom is very teeny and has a small appetite, so the meal was the perfect size for her! Another pro was that there were free refills on the coffee and they bring a carafe of ice water out to you when you're seated. The cons: The biggest for me was the broken hollandaise sauce on my Eggs Benedict (called a "Classic Benny"). Gross! Any chef worth their salt would be ashamed to serve a broken hollandaise and would either try to save it or remake it. I should've sent the meal back and ordered something different, but I scraped the hollandaise off and tried eating it. It was still pretty gross. The sides of fruit we all got weren't that great. The melons weren't ripe, but the orange slices were sweet and good. My mom liked her kids French toast, but not the side of fruit, and her bacon was pretty overcooked. My aunt ordered a bacon and cheese omelette add mushrooms, and she said it was pretty tasteless. She didn't even finish it. Another thing that bothered us was that they placed, by mistake, pancakes on our table when they were serving us and then walked away. A couple minutes later they came back and took the pancakes off the table and served them to another customer. The fact they took them off our table didn't bother us, we didn't order them. But we felt bad for the customer they served them to. It's kinda gross. What if we had sneezed on them or touched them with our hands? Once you place something on a table, it's unhygienic to serve it to someone else. Also the ladies room was quite dirty. All-in-all, the best part of this meal was the fact that I was with my mom and my aunt and got to spend time with them. I just wish we would've chosen a better restaurant at which to spend that time. read more

I never really enjoy parking at the mall, so the location is not ideal, but I guess if you're already at the Belden Village mall, it wouldn't be such a bad idea to go. This was my first time trying scramblers, and figured it would be like all the other breakfast places. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of food that you receive in a meal, especially for the price. I had tried the south of the border omelette which had browns and toast and it was really good. Portion sizes were huge and the quality of the food was great. My husband and son both tried the Baja burrito with fried potatoes and they both really enjoyed their meal as well. We were able to order ahead online and then have curbside pick-up at the restaurant which was very helpful to not have to go in a restaurant at this time. I did notice that this restaurant was offering individual meals as well as some family style meals as well. I look forward to eating here again and will definitely be back. read more

We had Janice as our server and she was so nice! She is definitely a 5-star server but the rest of our experience was about a 3/5. The host who sat us wasn't overly pleasant. We sat at a table back by the kitchen and it was very loud as the dish tank appears to be right by the entrance to the kitchen. I will always ask to be sat up front from now on. Our food was good. Not only was the food amazing, but the service was OUTSTANDING! Our waiter (Chad) initially brought my friends and I 3 pitchers of water so we would not go thirsty. My one friend who is elderly can be a bit particular when it comes to ordering. Chad was very patient with him and did not get angry when my friend made "special " requests. It's been six long years, so I figured it was time to give Scrambler's another go. Glad I did! Based on today's experience, I'm going to assume my first visit must have just been an off day. Got "The Classic" this morning. Per the menu: Three eggs* any style, choice of bacon, pork sausage links or turkey sausage patties, and two full-sized pancakes. Got my eggs done over-easy, which came out spot on. Upgraded to the "thick cut" bacon for $1.49 extra. Thought that was probably not worth it, but I was wrong. Super thick, extra crispy and enormous. Got the hash browns which were honest to god maybe the best I've ever had. This isn't hyperbole. They were that good. Crispy on the outside, with almost a mashed potato quality on the inside. Lastly, I asked if I could sub a waffle in place of the two pancakes, which I was able to do with no up-charge. This time around, unlike my first visit, the waffle was nearly flawless. Not too dry, and not stopping wet. It was the perfect middle zone that I love my waffles in. Dusted with confectioners sugar, and a dollop of whipped cream in the middle. I also had a really good server this time around named Jesse, who made the experience even better. She was fast, friendly, and knew the menu. That's all you ask for in a server. Looks like I'll be adding Scramblers back to the rotation of breakfast spots, and that's not something I ever thought I'd be saying! read more

Went in about 1:00pm this Wednesday and ordered scrambled eggs and the thick bacon......Simple enough. ....Eggs were very dry and obviously had been sitting on the griddle for a long time. They even had brown spots throughout. Bacon was so over cooked that it was in edible. The waitress was very nice but took 20 minutes to get back and check on me. I told her the meal was terrible and she told me she was sorry but it was " the end of the day" . That was the excuse. She took 50% off of the bill. (I did manage to choke down about a 1/3rd of the eggs and the orange juice was good.) My wife eats here on a regular basis with a group of gals and has never had a problem. They meet early in the AM. We originally wanted to go to First Watch which we love but there was an extended wait time. I'll try and make this short and sweet. Our server seemed great, her name was Jackie! Love the water they give you when you sit down. I ordered Hash and Eggs, banana pancakes and my wife ordered steak and eggs. The pricing is fair however when I received my meal the hash looked all too familiar. It was good old fashioned straight out of the can, no browning to it almost as if it was just warmed up. I asked the server about them because I thought being at a restaurant they would have been in house. My wife's steak was a thin cheap cut of meat, the banana pancakes were the only good thing. This is where I get upset, we told her we were unhappy with our meal and we were VERY kind. She had no problem taking the hash off (should have been the steak too but we bit the bullet and rolled with it) before she walks away she says "We're taking the hash off right, but because you thought it was homemade and it was out of a can so it's not really our fault right it's yours?" I was in disbelief because she seemed so nice and at that point my wife and I were ready to go. You don't talk to people like that I'm in customer service myself it's not anyone's "fault" i just didn't like it and that happens sometimes. I wasn't satisfied paying $9 for a meal when that exact can of hash is $1 at Walmart. I went out to eat for a quality breakfast. Needless to say we won't be back but I'm sure they won't mind that based on how we were treated. read more

Last night my love said she wanted to go on a breakfast date, we discussed our usual places of Sunday breakfast dates and I proposed, " what about that place in Belden with the eggs on the door"? This is my second time at this place. I brought my family from Virginia here before heading to the NFL Hall of Fame. We were seated immediately. The waitress came over very promptly. The place is very bright and inviting. The prices are great too. I like that they have the option to order a mini omelette which is two eggs instead of 4. I ordered a regular one and it was more than enough. I ordered a ham, cheese and spinach omnlette (my fav) with wheat toast and fruit. The food didnt take long to prepare. We had so many plates that it made the table very small. Overall, eneryone enjoyed their food and left pretty stuffed. I was so full that I never touched my fruit. read more

I've been to Scramblers twice in the last several months while in town visiting family. The first time was a very pleasant experience with kudos all around. My most recent visit was Sunday, October 13 2019. I ordered the Egg White veggie omelette. It was average at best. Here's the Omelette description: Egg whites, fresh green pepper, zucchini, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, a blend of Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheeses and topped with chives. Too much egg white & not enough veggies or cheese. I counted 3 pieces of mushrooms in all, not full pieces or even stems. There was no zucchini & no onions. It was mostly tomatoes & green peppers. The cheese was hardly enough at best & only on the top of the omelette. The hash browns were ok but could've been cooked a bit longer for a crispy outside. Also, the water they brought to the table smelled like "Lake Water", so i did not drink any of that. The coffee was good and the server was decent. I'm not sure I would go back for a 3rd experience. read more

Great service. On a holiday, we were seated immediately. Steak was cooked to perfection, which is great because I like mine well done. Very tender. Only drawback is there aren't many farm fresh options. The 'fresh' juice was more like bottled juices, blended (We are more used to throwing fruit, vegg and water in a blender). Was hoping for something more like First Watch, where salad was offered by the eggs, or super fresh, no bread options. What we ate was good, just not entirely memorable. read more

I stopped going to this particular Scrambler Marie restaurant in 2019, when I found that the food overall was pretty good but the bacon was abysmal - undercooked, cold, rubbery, and obviously "cooked" hours before and put in a pot to be served, cold, the rest of the morning. Very unappealing. I recently went back on May 1, 2022: The situation is exactly the same. To get warm bacon (not fresh bacon, just warmed up old cold bacon) it has to be sent back to the kitchen for additional time on the flattop while the rest of your breakfast is getting cold. Unfortunately this particular Scrambler's stubbornly refuses to modify an obviously bad kitchen procedure. There are many better places to get a good breakfast in the area. read more

Where to begin? First, it took awhile for the two of us to be seated. Then, after we were seated, the hostess came by to ask if anyone had taken our drink order yet. No one had. The hostess took our drink orders and then our actual server brought them out. She was kind of nasty when she took my food order. The mini classic, according to the menu, comes with pancakes, eggs, and your choice of meat. She acted like I was an idiot for not knowing that hash browns were included, even though the menu doesn't mention them. My fault for not being psychic, I guess. After she left to put in our order, my mom was about to take her first sip of coffee. Fortunately I stopped her. The coffee mug was not clean. There were dried drips from someone else's coffee all around the outside of the cup. I went to find my server to ask for a different mug. She was in the area right next to the kitchen. I saw her see me coming toward her, and then she turned around and went into the kitchen so she wouldn't have to acknowledge me. Fortunately one of the younger servers noticed me and took care of the mug situation for us. I don't expect a server to be all over their customers, but this lady never even asked us how our meals were. (Undercooked pancakes, overcooked hash browns, by the way.) I have a habit of putting my napkin over my plate when I'm finished. That's when she came by to ask if I wanted a drink refill. I started coming to this restaurant when it was called Scrambler Marie's. It was great. Since they dropped Marie, it's gotten worse and worse.
