This is my second time at this place. I brought my family from Virginia here before heading to the NFL Hall of Fame. We were seated immediately. The waitress came over very promptly. The place is very bright and inviting. The prices are great too. I like that they have the option to order a mini omelette which is two eggs instead of 4. I ordered a regular one and it was more than enough. I ordered a ham, cheese and spinach omnlette (my fav) with wheat toast and fruit. The food didnt take long to prepare. We had so many plates that it made the table very small. Overall, eneryone enjoyed their food and left pretty stuffed. I was so full that I never touched my fruit. read more

I've been to Scramblers twice in the last several months while in town visiting family. The first time was a very pleasant experience with kudos all around. My most recent visit was Sunday, October 13 2019. I ordered the Egg White veggie omelette. It was average at best. Here's the Omelette description: Egg whites, fresh green pepper, zucchini, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, a blend of Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheeses and topped with chives. Too much egg white & not enough veggies or cheese. I counted 3 pieces of mushrooms in all, not full pieces or even stems. There was no zucchini & no onions. It was mostly tomatoes & green peppers. The cheese was hardly enough at best & only on the top of the omelette. The hash browns were ok but could've been cooked a bit longer for a crispy outside. Also, the water they brought to the table smelled like "Lake Water", so i did not drink any of that. The coffee was good and the server was decent. Great service. On a holiday, we were seated immediately. Steak was cooked to perfection, which is great because I like mine well done. Very tender. Only drawback is there aren't many farm fresh options. The 'fresh' juice was more like bottled juices, blended (We are more used to throwing fruit, vegg and water in a blender). I stopped going to this particular Scrambler Marie restaurant in 2019, when I found that the food overall was pretty good but the bacon was abysmal - undercooked, cold, rubbery, and obviously "cooked" hours before and put in a pot to be served, cold, the rest of the morning. Very unappealing. I recently went back on May 1, 2022: The situation is exactly the same. To get warm bacon (not fresh bacon, just warmed up old cold bacon) it has to be sent back to the kitchen for additional time on the flattop while the rest of your breakfast is getting cold. Unfortunately this particular Scrambler's stubbornly refuses to modify an obviously bad kitchen procedure. There are many better places to get a good breakfast in the area. read more

Where to begin? First, it took awhile for the two of us to be seated. Then, after we were seated, the hostess came by to ask if anyone had taken our drink order yet. No one had. The hostess took our drink orders and then our actual server brought them out. She was kind of nasty when she took my food order. The mini classic, according to the menu, comes with pancakes, eggs, and your choice of meat. She acted like I was an idiot for not knowing that hash browns were included, even though the menu doesn't mention them. My fault for not being psychic, I guess. After she left to put in our order, my mom was about to take her first sip of coffee. Fortunately I stopped her. The coffee mug was not clean. There were dried drips from someone else's coffee all around the outside of the cup. I went to find my server to ask for a different mug. She was in the area right next to the kitchen. I saw her see me coming toward her, and then she turned around and went into the kitchen so she wouldn't have to acknowledge me. Fortunately one of the younger servers noticed me and took care of the mug situation for us. I don't expect a server to be all over their customers, but this lady never even asked us how our meals were. (Undercooked pancakes, overcooked hash browns, by the way.) I have a habit of putting my napkin over my plate when I'm finished. That's when she came by to ask if I wanted a drink refill. I started coming to this restaurant when it was called Scrambler Marie's. It was great. Since they dropped Marie, it's gotten worse and worse. No. Just. No. I was in Canton for a funeral - and had previously been here for breakfast (a few years ago). So I thought it'd be a fun new place for my mother to try with me. Boy...I was wrong. I love benedicts. I try to get them when I get breakfast out because I like trying the different versions. I decided to try the Harvest Bennie. Maybe they didn't like that I asked for the hollandaise on the side? (I like to pick the amount on my bennie's) I asked for hashbrowns on the side - crispy. But man - this meal was destroyed. Where do I start? Lets go with the Hasbrowns - I'm not entirely sure they were cooked. There was NO brown to show that they had been on the stove. And they were crunchy - to me - that means undercooked. Yuck. The Bennie - Oh the Bennie. It was described as having tomatoes, spinach and portabello mushrooms. The mushrooms are what sold me. But to find them on my meal - you couldn't. I had spinach and garlic. No tomatoes and mushrooms. Heck the english muffin that was supposed to be toasted - wasn't. I know they can be soggy once everything is placed on them - but there was no toasting to this bread. I ate my poached egg and the spinach off my plate. My plate was essentially still full - and my waitress didn't even ask how the meal was. She looked at it and said "Wow looks like you enjoyed it." How is enjoying it - eating essentially nothing on your plate? Certainly was not worth the $10 it costs. My mothers meal was no better. The only good part of our meal - was.....um. Well. My boyfriend and kids and I all ate here last week, not realizing it was a chain restaurant until getting on here and seeing other comments, but at any rate that doesn't change my experience. I immediately didn't like it when we walked in, the tables are very close together, the aisleways are small so there is constantly a waiter or waitress shuffling past your table. Our server was very nice, but slow...we all got our meals before my 8 year old daughter, all she ordered were 2 pancakes and we were halfway done with our meals before hers came out. She ended up not even eating them all because we were ready to go by the time she got started. I got one of their omelette's and it was really good, you get a nice sized portion of food. My boyfriend on the other hand got just a regular breakfast, pancakes, eggs and the premium bacon...overall the price here is not worth the food, it was good but nothing different then any other local denny's, or ihop etc. where you pay much less for the same thing. We won't be back, not because anything was horrible but because it just wasn't great either. And for the price I can go to Cracker Barrel and get a much better breakfast. read more

We came here on our way from Cleveland to the Football Hall of Fame for a quick breakfast. The servers here seem pretty nice and accommodating. Got some coffee and ordered the Ultimate Omelette. Each omelette comes with bread and side. I decided to go with the Biscuit (with honey and butter) and Hash browns. The food was eggcelent! Each omelette is made with 4 eggs and fills you up. The ultimate has a good mix of meat and vegetables. The biscuit was fluffy but may have been the frozen kind. The hash browns were delicious - they cook it fresh to order. I found it not too greasy and not too overlooked (I'm sure you could ask them to cook it more to make it crispier). Scramblers is a good, solid if unimaginative breakfast chain. You'll find everything from standard bacon and eggs to a selection of different omelets to a few trendy breakfast items like avocado toast. In my experience, it is all good, all edible, all perfectly fine. But there's nothing here that wows me. Nothing that I don't walk away feeling like I could make just as well at home. So minus a star for not being a breakfast designation, but it earns its 4 for good service and reliable food. read more

Not so good at takeout. We ordered the Breakfast Taco - husband thought they were decent. Spinach & Beacon omelette - ok, would try again, then French toast. The French toast, had no syrup with it and it was soggy. We had 3 entrees and was only given 2 utensils. Not given our drinks at first, we had to go back for them. My "Gourmet coffee" was $3.61, it was just black coffee. No straw for the OJ. Now, I know the service industry is struggling right now. My husband who picked up the order said they were very nice people and seemed to know their regulars. Service was great. Food- so so. Child's French toast with fresh fruit and sausage patty was Excellent. Ultimate Omelette was cooked solid brown on edges inside & out- which I loathe entirely. Smells like a wet dog. Lol. The shredded hash browns were browned perfectly & excellent. Wheat toast was good- would have liked it toasted more & not soggy. Sausage & Cheese Omelette was gross.- sausage was like hard kielbasa , it was cold chunks. Would have preferred a crumbly hot breakfast sausage. Also this Omelette was browned/ over cooked. Cubed potatoes were good. Sourdough toast was very good. Bacon cold & over cooked- coming from a person who loves crispy bacon. It was browned nicely but chewy. New place so take that into account. A stinky smell to the place was bothersome at first but I got use to it. Smelled like sulfur. Ordered a Ruben. It was good but not much meat. I ended up marrying the two halves into one. See pic. Other order had diced potatoes and eggs. One egg was overcooked and the other was OK. Some of the potatoes were not cooked long enough. A year later and had breakfast here. The food was good, hot and delicious. The coffee was flavored and delivered in a carafe. Great coupons for free food. Sign up for their birthday treat. Scramblers is a family style brunch place on par with IHOP or Bob Evans. The food was good and the employees were friendly and fast. It is not trendy and there is no alcohol (so no mimosas). The reason I rated it three stars is because I don't prefer this style of restaurant. Our server handed us our check as soon as the food was brought out. When checking on us he brought out this ratchet looking plastic bin filled with extra sugars, syrups, & other restaurant supplies. He also smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. We did a 180 and left within a minute of being seated. Why? When we arrived, a half dozen employees were standing at the entrance doing nothing but crowding the space. When we were seated, our waitress handed us two filthy menus, splattered with sticky who-knows-what inside. Laminated menus have the benefit of being easily cleaned but they won't be if management doesn't require the staff to be conscientious. I unwrapped the eating utensils. You can judge a restuarant's cleanliness by how clean their utensils are. Their's looked as if they never changed the dishwater. It's appalling how bad the food and service is at chain restaurants these days after most have increased their prices. Well, Scrambler Marie has definitely gone downhill. This was once the best place to go for breakfast, but they no longer cater to the customer. This shows in the lack of organization at the hostess stand all the way to the servers. Though there is one server that has been exceptional and while I can't remember her name, her name tag says "I love my son!" I was told today I cannot get my hash browns dark due to the size of the grill. This was of course AFTER the food had arrived. My girlfriend received the entirely wrong order and both dishes were luke warm at best. The Premium Bacon which was my favorite thing here, no longer comes out juicy and warm, but rather moderately warm and so hard it snaps. No effort was made to correct the issues nor compensate for the errors. It's sad that a great restaurant has fallen so far. After today, Scrambler Marie will no longer receive our business. Time to find the next best breakfast restaurant in the Belden area! read more

Awful experience. Called one week ahead and asked to reserve the private room for a grandmother's birthday party. Hostess was very polite and took all our information and confirmed we had the room reserved. Called one day before the event just to double check. This hostess was very rude and said there was no way we had the room reserved for the next day. When she checked she said your name is down for the room, but they couldn't guarantee it would be available the next day. When we got there on time the next day, sure enough they had another party in the room and told us we could wait for them to leave which would be an hour or more or they'd try to move a bunch of tables together for us in the main room. 30 minutes we were seated. Then as soon as we were seated the host said no server would be with us for a few minutes as they needed to have a team meeting. 10 minutes later a server came to the table, after we went and got our own menus. The service from that point was ok, until we were done and ready to leave. No one around to give us the bill. Finally had to go to the hostess desk to get our bill. Very good and fresh breakfast. Feels higher quality food for the area. All you can eat pancakes, French toast and waffles for you breakfast food gluttons. Very large menu for breakfast. They have healthy choices if that's your thing. The coffee is good in that it's not overly acidic. I tend to binge on coffee during breakfast and some places (e.g. Samantha's) have bad coffee that gives me acid reflux for the rest of the day. No issues like that here. Staff was friendly. Good location. Got in on a Saturday at 9am and it was still pretty dead. By 10:30am there was a wait and we felt the need to give up our table rather than be the greedy types to talk over coffee for 2 hours. Last tip would be that they have specials ($0.50 to $1) discounts if you go early enough M-F. 4 stars because 5 would require an out of this world experience. So 4/5 is the highest rating I would likely give in this area. read more

I tried Scrambler Marie's for the first time this weekend and I was very impressed. I had the Awesome Avocado omelette and it was . . . you guessed it, AWESOME! (Sorry, I couldn't resist). The thing was loaded with bacon, avocado & cheese. It may be the best omelette I've ever had. My 12 yr old had some kind of wrap that was loaded with different kinds of breakfast meat and it looked pretty darn good. Off to another offering for breakfast craving. D.- I ordered a skillet; Moose's. It was decent but like M. said, it had a processed taste and was lacking in flavor. Recently moved back to the area and have had a hard time finding a breakfast joint that's consistently good. My dad suggested Marie Scrambler's, and we thought we'd give it a shot. We did call-ahead seating knowing that a Sunday morning can be pretty busy, and our babies would be hungry. When we arrived, they had a table already set up for us with high chairs, kids' cups of water, and crayons and kids' menus. We were so impressed! Our waitress, Ashley, was very attentive and accommodating to our littles, and our complicated food order. Our food came out in a timely manner, just as we'd ordered it. My husband and I visited Scrambler Marie's this morning. While they didn't open in August as expected, I believe it was well worth the wait. Upon walking to the door, an employee opened the door for us and greeted us welcomingly. The hostess was already waiting for us and seated us within 30 seconds. She asked for our drink order and upon returning also brought a carafe of water. Our server, Nick, is what pushes this review above and beyond. Was our food good? Yes. Was it brought out promptly? Yes. But the service was by far the best I've seen at any restaurant, both high and low end. He was attentive but not hovering. He brought us to-go cups for our coffee without us asking. He was friendly and genuinely seemed happy to be there. 100 stars for Nick and his excellent service. read more

I went here with my daughter and it was ok. The staff were friendly, but not very helpful. The last person's check and tip sat on our table for about 15 minutes, even though multiple servers looked at it. We had to ask for silverware, and they were very stingy with the creamers and Splenda packets, I had to ask for more three times. We both had coffee, but the second carafe they brought out was tea, lol. The kitchen was also very loud, they have pretty terrible acoustics in the dining area. All of that aside, the food was very average, especially the bottomless French toast. My daughter had egg whites, turkey sausage, toast and fruit, she said it was decent, but the fruit was pretty bad. Overall it was very average, nothing special, service was disappointing and the food was just okay.
