This place is always awesome. Food is great, staff is always friendly. I love bringing my kids here for breakfast, it's always a good time!!

It's a really modern diner and when we came here on a Saturday morning, it was busy. I think it helps that it is one of the more popular restaurants within Princeton. The beignets were light and fluffy a perfect French dessert in the morning--I loved that they gave you a variety of different sauces. The meat lovers scrambler or the breakfast burrito was a really great breakfast item filled with bacon, diced ham, and sausage. It was a great value for $14. Although the pancake flight was pretty, the pancake itself was kind of dry. I liked the cinnamon roll pancake though as it was unique and perfect for my sweet tooth. I have been many many times for a couple years now and LOVE all the servers. However the quality of food the kitchen cooks are sending out the window has been steadily falling and is now just under acceptable. Both the owner and manager need to buckle down and make the cooks do their job or the restaurant will start loosing customers. read more

Food was good, everything was made perfect but I will say the only thing I disliked is the price for toppings !!! $4.50 for cheese cake bites and $3.50 for Oreos ??? $8.00 for just toppings is crazy to me, I could of just got another waffle for almost the same price... but everything else was great. read more

Really good diner food. Breakfast served all day or till they close at 3. Waitress super friendly, always checking on us and keeping our drinks full. I got the 3 cheese scrabbled eggs and grits and my daughter got plain scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns with cinnamon roll pancakes. Those pancakes were amazing as you can well imagine. Diner had a large dining room with tables and booths. It is really a neat little restaurant that is set up to resemble an old style diner. We were in the area shopping so I picked this place for the great reviews. So glad we did! I loved the strong coffee and hubby was thrilled they serve Twinnings hot black tea. A great breakfast/brunch spot. I came here with some friends for a late brunch and got the country fried steak which comes with eggs, hashbrown, and toast. I think the country fried steak was a little bland to me and could've used some more seasoning, but overall the food was good. The portion sizes were also very big for the dish I ordered and my friends'. The service here was pretty fast, considering the fact the place was not overly packed. The interior was also very spacious and the booths they have can seat probably 8-10 people, so good for bigger groups. I wouldn't mind coming back again! read more

As I've said before I'm happy restaurants are opening up in Princeton, and this one is really tasty. Not a super fan of breakfast spots but my friends always bring me to one. This place is so cute. They did a great job with the remodel of this place. It's very bright and airy, love the color choices with the whole decor. Aesthetically it's a 10/10. The staff is friendly, our waitress was sweet. Food came out rather quick, only gripe was price. I got the steak and eggs which was already 22$ then I added an avocado and and extra egg and my meal was basically $30 when I omitted the carb side. I just feel if you're going to charge $3 for avocado, give me the whole avocado not barely half. Other than that though, everything tasted fine. Definitely this place will do great. read more

New management = Downhill!! Since their opening, my family and I have made The Scrambler at the top of our list of breakfast places. It was once always our favorite spot and also our go to for any out of town guests. However, sadly that's changed. We recently visited and both the food and experience were simply awful. I ordered corn beef hash with hash browns and raisin toast & my Mom ordered the veggie skillet, hash browns & pancakes. The corn beef hash tasted skillet burned, the hash browns were so burned they appeared caramelized, oily and super crunchy. My toast was also burned and hard as a brick. My mom's hash was the exact same. Her skillet had an odd smell, similar to a Chinese food dish, the veggies and EGGS smelled/tasted like they'd been cooked in some kind of oyster or sesame seed oil. Nothing you'd expect to smell from a breakfast plate. Her pancakes were tough, wouldn't even cut with the knife. We both sent our hash browns back (didn't even bother complaining about the other items) and the manger attempted to make it right; yet unsuccessful. 2nd batch was just as bad as the first. Our waitress was extremely nice and tried to correct the wrongs but it was a kitchen issue, not her. Upon leaving the hostess asked about our experience and I shared our dissatisfaction. The manager offered an apology and gave us 20% off the bill which was nice to do. I asked if ownership/management had changed and it was confirmed it has. We could tell by so many factors that something was far different than prior visits. Though we appreciated the discount I do not foresee us returning. read more

Been here twice, so far. Like other diners we've had, the breakfast outshines the lunch. The hash stack is one my favorite breakfasts to date (anywhere). Tried the Ironman on the next visit and it wasn't my favorite. It's a healthy option plate, but needs more seasonings. I love the cinnamon vlore toast! This is our go-to breakfast/brunch spot in Princeton. Anytime we want some nice, fresh, warm breakfast, we go here. It's relatively cheap food, too! And such a wide variety! Anytime family comes to visit, we take them here. The service is always SO FAST, and FRIENDLY. We came in around Noon on a Sunday, and it was pretty busy since everyone had just gotten out of church, and we were expecting a long wait, but we got in just under 10 minutes. They are always sure to clear tables as soon as people leave to make room for new guests. Atmosphere? 10/10. Food? 10/10. Service? 10/10. Just look at the pictures of this food! The burger that was ordered looks UNREAL. It is almost picture-perfect. One of the best-looking burgers - and freshest - I've ever seen... and the avocado was SO SO FRESH, no brown spots ANYWHERE. Friendly greeter at the door (we miss you Art). Now you go in no one's there. Have to wait to be seated and there's no warmth from the employees. Came in on a Friday afternoon with my wife for some lunch and it was a bit crowded but wow were we amazed! Scrambler never disappoints! Wife had the chicken salad croissant and I had the BLT+A and it was to die for! Elvis is the best server we've ever had dining out! The owners were both present and made us feel at home! For some that have issues financially and bashing every restaurant for how expensive and not enough portion y'all should stay home and cook! We've been to this amazing place several times, just now getting around to reviewing. It's a winner. It's so nice inside, bright, cheerful and clean. It will hold a lot of people, but doesn't feel crowded. Service has always been top notch. We've had the chicken fried steak breakfast and added jalapenos, gluten free pancakes (very generous portions - especially these!!), breakfast skillet, scrambled eggs with biscuits and gravy, and an omelet with extra crispy hash browns!! And they were EXTRA CRISPY!!! They actually deep fry them, and they are crunchy perfection!! They have hot tea as an option - and if I want lunch food, I can get that too. Visited for brunch. It's very loud inside, hard to carry on a conversation. Food was alright, not great. The sweet berry crepes where very eggy as if they forgot to add flour to the batter. Migas plate was like regular scrambled eggs and seamed as if they didn't cook the onions tomatoes and tortilla in it, just added it to the eggs as an afterthought. They forgot to add the bacon i ordered in the migas. But they did send it out separate at least. Service was ok although I had to ask for an extra plate 3 times. read more

We went for our first visit last week for brunch on a Monday. What a cute restaurant! The decor is bright and cheerful! I was concerned because we had been in that space with every restaurant that had been there and it was LOUD! Not with Scramblers! I don't know if they dropped the ceiling or put in sound baffles, but we were able to comfortably carry on a conversation! Let's talk food...so good! Our server, Sarah, was a former student...she recognized me. When you go in, ask to sit in her section and tell her Mrs. B sent you! Service and food has definitely declined since manager Tim left. This was one place in Princeton I could take my family for gluten and dairy free foods. Current manager now states there's no dairy free foods, which was not the case under Tim. So disappointing! read more
