I really tried to like this place, but it's insanely over priced! I really wanted a shirt that wasn't even brand new or name brand and the price tag was $17.99! If it was brand name with tags, then maybe I could see that price, but nope. Some of the electronics are broken and high priced and their beauty section selection is all tested out make-up (customers tried them out), liquid soaps, haircare, and perfume with high pricing! Purchased an air conditioning unit that was priced by Savers for sale for $129.99 that was in the original box and sealed. Looked brand new. It was amongst the other air conditioning units and fans on a shelf. I did not open it right away because it was for my daughter. When I opened it I discovered a bag of jeans, and a bunch of other household items but no air conditioner. Certainly nothing worth $129.99. I took it back to the store to say "What the heck! Refund please." To make a long story short, every argument I made as to why I should be refunded - like - "Don't you open up all donated items to make sure they are what they are before you price it and put it out for sale?" To which the Regional store manager replied - "yes, someone is supposed to do that - but it is your responsibility to check the box before you leave the store." I argued that I trusted that the store was selling what they advertised for sale at $129.99 was actually what was in the box." It didn't matter. No refund. Have you noticed that Savers does sell new items as well as thrift items? I think they have a duty to deal honestly don't you? I ended up leaving the store and the box of items because she was not budging on her policy. Now Saver's gets to make more money on the items and I am out a total of $140 with the paid sales tax. This is not good business or good community relations. I'm sharing my experience as a warning to all who shop there to test the products yourself because THEY DO NOT DO THAT AND open a box even if it looks new just to make sure it is what it is. read more

I have been in here a lot lately. Trying to plan a wedding on a budget has me doing a lot of thrifting. The reason I have given this store only three stars is because of prices. They are way to overpriced for being a thrift store. For instance, last time I was in here I was looking at the clothing section, they had a dress that had the original Burlington coat factory sticker on it priced a $10.99 the savers sticker on the item was $12.99? Pretty Cool Store!!! I went here a few weeks ago to donate a huge garbage bag full of clothes. I've been trying to clean out my closet for the last month ha ha. They give you 15% off every time you donate and the 6th time you donate you get 30% off your purchase. Everything is already super cheap though! I found a super gorgeous blue ombre gown that they normally sell at Nordstroms for $650!!! The price tag said it was only $24.99!!! The prices at Savers have always been higher than other thrift stores but now they are pricing their items higher than what the item originally sold for in stores and the vintage items will cost you more than what you can buy them for on ebay with shipping! You will actually save $$ by purchasing from eBay! Every isle i went down today there were people complaining about the prices! This is absolutely ridiculous! The items they are selling have been donated to them! I do not see this store lasting much longer in Vacaville! I even overheard one of the employees advising a customer that was complaining about prices to complain to management! The employee said they have told management that the prices are too high! You know the kind I'm talking about?... Yes, it's all for a very good cause BUT not worth the risk of me catching Hep B or Black Lung... "NEXT!" ('And this is coming from someone that has seen their backroom.) I figured that I would drop by Savers and take a look after hearing about it from the *TSGs during my short visit to that "other place." *TSG - Thrift Store Groupies are shoppers who are there on a daily basis, no joke. People have complained about Savers' pricing, which I have to admit, is a bit pricier than most thrift stores BUT consider the following in comparison: - All items are cleaned & washed. (Okay, "most" items are cleaned & washed) - Public restrooms (Very clean) - Overhead cost (i.e. - lighting, cleaning, maintenance) - Electronics are tested (At least, that's what I was told.) However, as the buyer, that responsibility rests with you. Clean, organized, helpful & a good cause. Every donation goes to help the Epilepsy Foundation. The way the clothes are organized reminds me of a Ross or Marshall's. They're separated by size and sex. They have men's, women's, children's and infant's clothing. There's housewares, books, brick-a-brack, electronics, shoes, jewelry and misc. items. You never know what you'll find. The jeans are hung so that it's easy to read the sizes and see the prices. There are rows and rows of clothes. Can feel a bit overwhelming, but they really do a good job of keeping it organized. They have fitting rooms to try on the clothes & I'm told they wash all the items prior to putting them out for sale. The store looks and smells clean. Donations are tax deductible. Pull right up to the front and the staff is always helpful to unload your items. They also give you a punch card for additional percentage off. This thrift store is really big and very well organized. It was also very clean and I appreciates that. I think the problem is it is so well organized that everything good is already picked over. The prices also seemed very high on most stuff. I was a bit disappointed in the prices. Some people will love savers and some will not. I am in the middle. I won't go out of my way to come here but it is a well maintained thrift store with lots of inventory. The people that work there are also pleasant which adds to the experience. read more

This is the most expensive Savers I have ever shopped. Pricing was also very inconsistent. I 3 of the same cups and 2 were priced $1.99 and 1 was priced $1.29. I also bought a stack of old VHS and 1 was priced $1.99 and all the others .99 cents. The cashier said all the VHS was supposed to be .99 cents and he gave me all 3 cups for $1.29, which was great. However, I won't shop at this location again unless they get the pricing under control. They are selling 12" Marvel action figures for $7.99, used, that cost $9.99 brand new at Walgreens or Target. Rising prices is just another reason why I'm starting to come to savers less and less. These prices are comparable to Target Marshalls and TJ Maxx. Along with no longer providing fitting rooms and just the option to exchange an item within two weeks I find myself just taking the loss so I don't have to drive back here. I miss when used goods were the price of used goods but they're charging everything as if it were new. I also heard other customers surprised at such high prices. Agree with some of the other users regarding prices at this location. Quite overpriced. I've been to other Savers locations in Arizona and Illinois and the prices were considerably more reasonable. One example:. At the other locations, there are often 'bundled" items - for example dishware and glassware or say - matching art pieces. At this location, matching pieces are sold separately so value is hard to find. I found a few pieces of vintage but know if I were at another location would have paid less. The prices have gotten out of hand for the last few months. Places like this cause they thrifts to have to raise their prices and then the people in need can't afford to shop for used goods. I needed a thermos for my little one, these are just a few of the sad prices I saw today. We went to wal mart afterwords and found the same ones for 7.99$. True to its name, Savers always has what I need for whatever occasion. They have great customer service that is always consistent every time I go. The first time I discovered this place, I walked out with a dress with a porcelain like design. Everything is always super organized wherever you go. On a most recent trip I was able to pick out a few great hats (1930's and witch hats) at the store and even found some cool decorations like an eyeball doorbell for halloween. My friend was able to walk out with an Aladdin costume we were able to put together by shopping in various different sections. It wasn't a exact costume, but more like a Disneybound that was pretty effortless to find. The biggest issue is figuring out which deals you want to walk out of the store with or avoiding overspending because there are so many good deals. I honestly do advise keeping an open mind when shopping around here, I'm always able to snatch a few deals like my dragon bone goblet I picked up. Shop around in different sections and treat them more as guidelines. I love how they have a Halloween section that is always organized and right at the front which gives you a few Halloween ideas. read more

I used to be a huge fan of Savers. In fact over the years I have donated hundreds of dollars in merchandise to them. Their stores are nicely appointed and items are usually pretty easy to locate. Today, I was really disappointed with Savers and I may never return. I had knee surgery three weeks ago and I currently walk with a cane. At times, I'll admit walking is difficult and I can be rather slow. I was browsing through the area in back of the store where the coolers and such are. All of a sudden behind me I hear, "Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep!" I turned slowly and there is a short female employee with dark hair and a rack of clothes wanting ME with my cane to get out of HER way. I stepped aside slowly and told her,"I am disabled and YOU are extremely rude." A simple,"excuse me" would have been the better choice. Please school your employees in a bit of etiquette. Is it just me, or is Savers getting "expensive"? I mean thrift store expensive like girls used Adidas for $10. No! This is a thrift store, this isn't a Mom and Pop second hand store. I"m just bummed, because I used to find good prices, I mean I still do but you have to search. If my Mom didn't insist on paying for things for my girls I would come out with probably a bag of stuff but since she's ok paying $6 for a Anna Frozen doll. That's fine. Justice top for $6?!? When they first opened, their prices were almost better than any other thrift store around. These days, their prices are getting insane. Be prepared to pay $30 for a good brand of jeans or if something has a tag on it, you are guaranteed to pay retail,if not more. I love thrift shopping and am willing to get down and dirty to get those deals. But Savers is so very CLEAN. My aunt told me they wash everything before they put it out, YES. When I walked in it looked like a regular department store, no allergies from the dust! I actually love this store. Compared to a lot of thrift stores I have been to (and I go to a lot) it's very clean and organized and doesn't have that thrift store stale used stuff smell. I think the prices are decent. I only usually hit up thrift stores for toys and stuffed animals so those prices are reasonable. I have bought a few other things and clothes and I think the quality is good. I like how they give you a coupon for donating. I think this store is way better than goodwill. I'm not pickey about it being clean or organized... it's a thrift store I kinda expect a mess lol you have to look but I almost always find a treasure.... or 2 here! Prices can sometimes be high so I mostly shop when I have a coupon or there is a sale going on. Pretty wide verity of things from baby clothes, shoes, house hold items, books and more!!! The reason for only giving 4 stars is because their costumer service lacks. Large and clean, but overall I wasn't that impressed by Savers. I didn't come here looking for anything in particular, but I did notice that everything is organized really well. My favorite section was the book section. They had it organized by genre which was really helpful. Their selection of clothes is pretty much on par with Goodwill. Old grandma clothes galore! If you're looking for more modern apparel, try places like Plato's Closet and Buffalo Exchange. Unlike Goodwill, Thrift Center, and Mission Solano thrift store, I don't feel like they jacked up their prices. Everything is reasonably priced. Even the more expensive brands were very cheap. I saw a pair of Gap shorts for $4! They also have a rack of designer purses like Juicy Couture. Staff is quite friendly and even though they aren't running tag sales yet, there were plenty of bargains to be had. I picked up a Men's size Disney baseball jacket that fit me perfectly for $9.99! Lots of great deals to find at this thrift store! I didn't even know about this place until I saw a sign earlier today while passing by the Nut Tree, so I decided to pop in and check it out. The store itself is actually pretty big and I was pleasantly surprised to see how organized everything was. Especially considering that it was Black Friday, I was expecting to see clothes and shoes strewn everywhere. But nope, the clothes were all arranged by size and description on all the racks in the middle of the store which were spaced out and easily accessible. The holiday section on the side had a good selection of decorations and fun knick-knacks to choose from. Just one thing- It would've been nice to have the boots arranged by size, but most of the other shoes they had were. But another plus is the savers card! In addition to the 50% off blue tagged items on Black Friday, I got another 30% off my purchase from signing up for a savers card. Doesn't cost a thing and they let you know when there are extra sales happening. And don't forget to get a stamp card for even more deals! Win-win! read more

Found this gem in Vacaville from a co-worker referral. Whaat .. found a gold mine!! Location: Easy to get to, across from Starz Bowling Center, next to the Nugget Marketplace Private lot for parking, donation center what front and center, but not blocking the entrance. Freeway to hop on 80 west was right at the intersection. Easy on and easy off. Store: It's hella big, pretty organize and surprisingly clean. Rows and rows of clothes, knick nacks, larger items towards the back corner. They even had pillow covers. I went after Halloween 2015 and they had all the costume and accessories 50% off .. most had tags on them and didn't look like they were 5 seasons old #score I will definitely go back and possibly even donate some items.
