I was browsing Kirklands Vacaville and found very nice, half-moon, 100% rubber mats for the porch that were on sale. Signs on the window indicate they now accept Bed Bath and Beyond coupons. I asked Richard, store employee about that and he shared there has been an acquisition. The store inventory has changed too. Even more variety. Now about Richard! He's the real reason for 5 stars. He was really helpful and went above and beyond to help me. He was kind, respectful, and provided assistance multiple times. I've been shopping at this Kirkland's since it opened, I've always had good service but today Mr. Richard made my shopping experience easy, quick and pleasant. I was really grateful as the store and parking lot was so busy. He smiled at me, greeted me and asked me if I was finding everything okay. I found a large mirror I was interested in and I felt comfortable to come to him and ask questions. I had to adjust my car to make sure mirror would fit. He held the item at cash register for me as it was the last one, I came back and shopped a bit more and he happened to be my cashier. He also told me I could drive up and he put the mirror in my car for me. What a huge asset to Kirkland's team. I didn't see any other employee on the floor until I was rung up. Went in today to pick up an online order but was soon drawn in by the beautiful and enticing Christmas displays. They had a large selection of snow people, Santa's, and nutcrackers, along with some wonderful wall art. The prices were reasonable for the quality. Lots of candles, art work, and awesome selection of throw pillows. Also, tons of lanterns, which I have an obsession with. The prices are moderate, more than target but less than pier one. They have decor for every season so check it out if you're looking to create a seasonal table scape. Finally worth mentioning is the selection of lamps, and small furniture items. This is the second Kirklands location I have been to. They have other locations in Folsom and Petaluma and are basically all the same. There were a few cute things that I saw around the store that I considered purchasing, but a lot of the stuff they carry just looks like it's made in large quantities for cheap overseas to be sold on the cheap here so I didn't end up purchasing anything this visit because nothing felt special. Just generic. They have rotating seasonal home decor at the front of the store, and some candle holders along the right wall. In the back is bathroom decor along with wall decor. There was a big section in the middle of the store dedicated to items with God and Jesus plastered all over them, which isn't my cup of tea so I skimmed over it. They also had a good selection of faux plants and flowers as well as some smaller furniture items. They weren't very busy when I stopped in a little before 11:00am on a Friday, but the store is organized very well and is easy to navigate. I would stop by again if I was back in the area to look around. read more

We drove 45 minutes for an online purchase. After picking up my online purchase, I noticed the faux marble top table was bented at the base, the top was chipped and it was very dusty. I was told that it was a display. This item looked like it belonged in a thrift store but it wasn't priced like it! The manager wasn't interested in helping me further. She told me to just return it even though I drove almost an hour for this item. Come to find out, after talking to management in Tennessee, Kirkland is not supposed to sell displays. Poor customer service in handling the situation. Probably won't shop Kirklands ever again. read more

I purchased order #15544678 online on 10/28/2022. I typically order items that have a delayed delivery date, so I was not surprised that my order was taking a while. On 12/5/2022, I contacted the Vacaville, California store and spoke with Aimee, store manager. I inquired about my order, and she explained that she initially received the order before thanksgiving, that the store was busy, and she could not work on my online order. Later after I informed her that I would contact corporate, she changed her statement to say she could not check in my ship-to-store purchase. I asked Aimee what is Kirkland's protocol when an order is unable to be checked in, but she did not have an answer. I informed Aimee that I was charged on 11/8/2022, and she suggested I contact corporate regarding the matter. As a consumer, I am disappointed by the lack of customer service. If Aimed was experiencing a problem with my order, she should contact online sales to rectify the situation. Aimee and the Vacaville staff chose to ignore my order instead. Where is the option for 6 stars? We purchased a huge mirror to go over our couch for less than $100 out the door. A reduced price tag and a coupon and 20% off given to us for a scratch on the corner turned into a great find. We were still going to buy the mirror even if they didn't provide any discount on the Mirror. We were hoping for something along the lines of 5-10%, and the guy behind the counter asked his manager on some type of communication device and within 20 seconds he offered us 20% off. Also picked up some other house decor at great prices. The service has been excellent as well. We've been here three times and they've definitely earned customer loyalty from us. This is a pretty cool store for Home decor at fairly reasonable prices. It's definitely a suburban housewife/househusband's dream store, for sure. They have paintings, clocks, shelves, sconces, vases, just all sorts of home items to decorate with. They frequently have really great sales and coupons. The sales will say things like "Hundreds of New markdowns!" and they aren't kidding. Literally hundreds of items are just...marked down! Not in some special sale spot, and not just the leftover crap that is doomed to the clearance section for two years. They also have really neat seasonal décor for your home- imagine the sales on that stuff right after the corresponding holiday! I have noticed that they generally have a style that involves brown, golds (metalics in general), and other rich earth tones. Their stuff seems pretty decent quality, especially for the reasonable pricing they have. Overall, I really like this store. It's nothing outstandingly amazing, but they are a great stop for your decorating needs, especially on a budget. Check them out, but I recommend signing up for their emails first and seeing if you can get a coupon before going in. Oh, and service here is always stellar. This place is conveniently located next to HomeGoods which is really nice when you're in the mood to freshen up your space. The prices are so good and they usually have markdowns and additional sales throughout the store. One thing I love are all the inital itdms they have that you can use to personalize your space! Also, their employees are always walking around the store asking if you need help with anything, and of course notifying you of all the amazing deals that are happening right now! Generally, this store has an amazing selection and great prices. But this review is regarding an interaction we had with their manager. While we were shopping, we saw a sign advertising a faux fir throw for $19.99. It was clearly on the display, and the faux throws were the only throws on the display. We decided to pick one up, and an employee offered to take it up to the front for us. We went to pay and they let us know that the throw was not ringing up at the discount price. The cashier was very apologetic, and let us know she would need to speak to a manager. After hunting for him, they found him and the cashier wanted to see about adjusting the price. The manager let us know that the price was not for the correct throw. When we pointed out that those were the only throws on the display, he refused to acknowledge the mistake and gave us a rude "take it or leave it" attitude. Any other store you go to, like Bed Bath Beyond, they would acknowledge the mistake and honor the price. The cashier, to her credit, was trying to acknowledge that it was their mistake but was unable to make any kind of price adjustment. Just because of how lousy the manager handled the situation, it is very telling how he was trained. This will not be the last time I shop here- it just will not be my first choice of stores to frequent. read more

My mother and I frequent this Kirkland location. How many times, I can't count... Today we experienced the worst customer service with their manager Amy. We had a question about a candle that we were buying to the cashier Richard and she butt in. We politely asked her to stop talking to us because she was getting loud and trying to make us look stupid which attracted attention from people and she kept going and we asked her one more time that we just want to pay now but instead she continued to talk... Amy, I can't believe I am 17 years old, way younger than you and I have to say this, that is not how you treat your customers. When we asked you to politely stop talking to us we expect what we asked for. I hope no other customers experience what we did, especially because Kirkland is our favorite store. read more

This was my very first time in a Kirkland's store. When I walked in I was immediately cooked by the smell. Some kind of incense smell that was so strong. I kept coughing. I covered my nose and tried to look around. But I couldn't shop. The smell was so intense and made me sick to my stomach as well as made me continue coughing. Great place to shop for farm decor. They have all kinds of things as in clocks, mirrors, wall art, lamps, soap, clothes and kitchen organization. But be aware if you have asthma or sensitive to smells to not stay here too long. The smell hits you like a ton of bricks. I mean you can smell it by just walking by the store. It's like a Holister store but for decor. When you leave you smell like the store and the product you've purchased will smell that way for weeks. I don't want my kids in here for long when I shop here it's too much for their little lungs. So I shop online first, make sure they have it and then take a look in the store as my last resort! Always sign up online for their coupons they send out once in a while. My first purchase here was a clock. It was huge and upon getting home it didn't keep up with the time. We exchanged it for a different clock but I told the employee to put a battery in it before I take it home. I didn't want to make another trip back! I love it when a store wants me to shop at its locations but sends me to a different store, a competitor, to use the restroom. I am to spend my money at Kirkland's but they do not want to offer their customers a pleasant shopping experience which for most women includes a clean, readily available restroom. My daughter was sent to Marshall's restroom. Do they have an agreement? All Kirkland's are set up this way.
