My husband and I recently discovered this amazing store, we have been at this location numerous times now. I mean to the point we know some of the team members names lol. Let me start with how amazing their light fixture area is, they have a large selection of signature pieces. Some are still selling at the full line store, but here you get 50% off They have so many different couches, you don't know you need a new one until you walk in to this store. We purchased the Laurent one, as soon as we walked in we knew it was going home with us, and it did. Jake did an amazing job wrapping it, him and my husband somehow got it secured in no time. They honestly have everything you need for your living room, bathroom, dining room, and bedroom. Oh they do carry outdoor furniture also. Not only do you get amazing deals at this location you also get amazing service. Derek the store manager, Jake, Tiara and team are so knowledgeable, and friendly. Prices are decent, but they have too much stock upfront, endless boxes blocking any use of their carts, theres no room to maneuver the carts in the store, it wasnt like this before. The customer service is now mediocre, some of the staffing arent helpful at all, some of them dont know where anything is at and focus more on cart management. They don't allow you to bring the carts outside the store even though you just purchased product from the store, sounds like excuses from some of the staffing cause they're too lazy to retrieve the carts. West elm needs to do better. read more

I've been a loyal customer of the West Elm Outlet in Vacaville for many years. I've purchased both new and slightly damaged furniture from this store, and I've generally had good experiences. Last week, I purchased a media console. I carefully inspected it before buying, but unfortunately missed damage on one corner. After bringing it home, I discovered that one of the doors was far more severely damaged than I had realized. As soon as I was able, I brought the damaged door back to the store--just seven days after the purchase--and simply asked if they could exchange the door for one in better condition. I wasn't asking for a refund or a brand-new unit, just a replacement door. The store refused. Their explanation was that if they accepted it back, they would have to heavily discount the item. That response made little sense to me because they had already sold it to me in that condition without making the extent of the damage obvious. Long-time customers deserve better customer service than this. Instead of trying to help find a reasonable solution, they chose to stand behind a rigid policy. I left feeling that customer satisfaction wasn't important. I'll be much more cautious about shopping at this outlet in the future. read more

This is my favorite furniture outlet shop in Vacaville. The reasons being that the merchandise is in fairly good to great condition. They aren't pawning off broken junk. The pricing reflects significant savings from the full retail pricing. The shop is beautifully staged and merchandise is neatly displayed. The shop has an open layout. The furniture is placed in the middle of the shop with houseware, serving ware, bedding, and home decor on the shelves along the walls. In regards to furniture, some of the items they carry range from lighting fixtures, coaches, living room lounge chairs, console tables, bookcases, coffee tables, bookcases, display cabinets, dressers. drawers, bedside tables, counter top chairs, dining tables and chairs. But since it's an outlet, there is no guarantee of certain incoming inventory. Every time I pop in here, the staff are busy assisting customers. You will have to wait for assistance. But that's where I'm not sure how that system works. It's not so much first come first next; more like who's the most aggressive in getting someone attention. This is important because hot items are marked sold quickly. If you can't find a staff person in the floor, go to the cashier up front promptly to lay dibs. read more

Sale on top of the sales [Vacaville CA] First time checking out the West Elm Outlet in Vacaville, I guess I've not been to the outlets in a while since I didn't even know this store existed. I came here with my children while they shopped for furniture. I was looking specifically for a birthday gift for my co-worker. I was also looking to replace a couple of bar stools and maybe some chairs for my kitchen dining table... I only succeeded in finding a gift for my friend. The barstools were a bit too high for what I needed. I saw some chairs, it was sold in pairs. One pair was complete but another pair of the same kind was missing a chair from the pair... unfortunately, three was nice but I needed 4 chairs. This is the sort of things you would find in the West Elm Outlet. There were plenty of furnitures and bedding sets, some kitchen and household items, plus home decors. It was fun looking around but I was on a budget having some remodeling done in my home. The store is located on the West Plaza and the best entrance would be off Burton Drive. My wife and I visited the West Elm store last week to look at a desk we were interested in purchasing, and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing. We asked an employee for help finding the price of a desk that had a large box sitting on top of it. We were about to lift the box so she could check the tag when she abruptly and rudely told us, "Do not touch it." Ironically, moments later she couldn't move the box herself and then asked for my help to lift it. After that, she still couldn't locate the price and told us she would go check. We waited in the store for about 15 minutes with no update. Eventually, we decided to leave. As we were walking out, we saw the same employee at the register helping another employee wrap a customer's purchase instead of assisting us. We approached her and reminded her that we had been waiting. She said she would go check, but continued standing there wrapping items instead. At that point, we spoke with the manager, whose response was a half-hearted apology. He described the situation as "a good coaching lesson," which felt dismissive and minimizing given how poorly we were treated. The entire interaction left us feeling disrespected and ignored as customers. Based on how we were treated compared to others in the store, I honestly walked away feeling discriminated against because of the color of my skin. We came in ready to buy furniture but left feeling unwelcome. Customer service and accountability clearly need improvement at this location. read more

West Elm Outlet in Vacaville is a gem. We follow them on Instagram, and we love the updates they give via IG videos walking through the store. It keeps us in the loop and excited for our next visit. We went on Saturday, the 25th, at 10am for Memorial Day weekend, and the 50% off everything in the store deal was exactly what we were waiting for. We found the perfect bar table, and the customer service was top-notch. Special shoutout to the wonderful woman who helped us out--she was taller, maybe in her late 40s or early 50s, with long wavy hair, and mentioned she'd been working there for two years. We loved her and were so glad she was there to assist us. Huge thanks to Eli and Avery for going the extra mile to help us dismantle our table and maneuver it into our car with such care and friendliness. Several visits to this location have garnered the same experience - absolutely non-existent customer service. Most recently-Friday 4/28/23-walked in and looked at the cash wrap area where there were three employees standing together discussing a woman who continued to call to find out if there were queen sheets in stock. Apparently she was a serial caller, and they had had about enough of her. I was looking at couches in the front area and wandering back-and-forth through them and after at least a full 5 to 8 minutes, still not one of them had looked up. Wandered all the way through the entire store, to the back corner, and finally a different woman greeted me and asked if she could help with anything. I did end up buying one thing from back there and she went to the cash wrap with me to check me out. If this was a unique experience, I wouldn't even be writing about it. But it is consistently like this here. If you go across the parking lot to the Crate and Barrel outlet, it will be like walking into a spring breeze, compared to this winter chill. read more

Upon entry, employees were very helpful and welcoming and the store is nicely laid out so you can find what you are looking for. I never find anything to buy in this outlet store. They have new sales that start every Tuesday, with seemingly good deals. However, the store was an absolute mess this morning. Boxes in so many aisles you could barely shop what was on display. There is Christmas decor out, but again, nothing really caught my eye. My last visit I got a bed frame I was assisted by Michelle over the phone and in person and she is amazing. She was super attentive and patient with me and my mom. Michelle was super knowledgeable and guided me through the entire purchase. Furniture shopping is so stressful and she made it a great experience! I am so excited for my bed frame thank you, Michelle! I will definitely come back again! The manager has been there awhile he is also very accommodating and sweet. However, The general manager should really look at the severely damaged clearance section and mark down accordingly. No one is going to pay $1,200 for completely broken (huge chunk of wood almost coming off) front and back edges of a dresser.I don't even care if it was originally $2,600, that's the reason why it's at an outlet. The furniture was okay, many pieces were damaged. I decided to buy a couple of pillow covers. There were two cashiers helping two people in front of me. I waited and one of the cashiers finished with one customer and said, "I'll be right back." She never came back. I saw her having coffee with a group of other employees in the back of the store. The other cashier continued to help the people in front of me and they were chatting and going on. I waited for about 15 minutes before I finally left with empty hands. Usually a better deal than online although I would double check price online to see that they didn't conspicuously mark it up and then let you think you got a really good 70% off deal. I think that mostly happens for furniture pieces more than home decor though. This MLK weekend markdowns was similar to the July 4 weekend last year. Extra 70% off bedding / 80% for velvet; extra 50% off for window treatments but the lengths they had was 84"/96/103 when I was searching for 63"/extra 50% for pretty much everything else like wall decor, planters, flatware, house decor like vases and candles, lighting, and furniture. Ended up with a vase at checkout for $40 vs $60 sale price online ($80 retail). Store is very well organized, not a mess of piled up picked over goods. Items are well marked. They don't have direct furniture delivery, but have a third party business card you can call if you needed it. Like every outlet, it's not going to have everything you wanted or expected, and is a luck of the draw. Better than the Pottery Barn in Alameda imo. More selection of everything and pre-assembled furniture is usually in good shape. Selection about the same as CB outlet in Pleasanton, just that it's CB vs West Elm aesthetics. read more

I had never been here before and I have no idea why!? Lol they have so many amazing things here at a fraction of the price. I ended up finding my favorite candles here for $10 normally $30! I was then assisted by Dakota on numerous occasions. Super friendly, super helpful, and just above and beyond customer service. I found a duvet there that I had purchased in the past at their regular retailer and got a stain on it. So they happen to have it and I was thrilled. They didn't have the shams for it but Dakota took the time to look in back and everything. There was also a chair and table set I was considering getting and he was kind enough to build the chairs for me and hold them until I consulted a friend on whether or not it would work with my space. Just amazing customer service all around. Another associate Wanda, was also very helpful. I asked their opinion on the chair combination I was getting and she didn't recommend I get it since it's more like a dining room chair. She then proceeded to take the time to give me suggestions and colors pallets that would work for the room I'm wanting to decorate. Just above and beyond customer service and I couldn't be happier! I came here recently for the first Saturday they reopened since Shelter in place. The store really took everyone's safety seriously. Only 75 people allowed at a time and we had to wait in line outside the store in order to get in. We also had to book a shopping appointment through their Instagram. When we did go there was some inventory but not a whole lot in some categories like coffee tables, dressers , etc.The sales associate explained they get shipment 3-4 times a week but hadn't got one since the pandemic. They explained to us not to touch anything and a sales associate will open any drawers, or touch anything, etc. The staff was extremely nice and helpful! The items they did have was incredible and the sale was 50% off everything in the store which made everything so affordable. Sales change all the time but I'd imagine it's all pretty affordable. But, they do have managers specials and those rock, as well as some amazing pieces that are damaged and can be rock bottom priced. But, I'm really updating my review and adding a star because of the employees- they are so sweet and just make the experience a joy! Was pretty disappointed with the outlet compared to the regular store. Almost all of my furniture is from West Elm and Ive always had great customer service. The outlet is completely different. I live in Elk Grove and was excited to hear that Vacaville had an outlet so I decided to go check it out. Purchased planters along with a bookshelf and the whole experience was so difficult. First, I explained to the worker, I did not have my West Elm card so I was hoping they can pull up my information to apply my credit. The cashier totally forgot to apply the credit so I had to do a return repurchased. Second, they did not let me know that the planters did not come with the leg that was being displayed. There was no way I would of known since everything was packaged. Found out until I got home, gave them a call and all they said its pretty common and suggested I come back and purchased the other part. You would think if it happens all the time, this is something they should train their staff to ensure that the customer know that. Third, when picking up the bookshelf, we pulled up in the back and had to knock so many times and could not get anyones attention. Had to drive to the front to ask them to bring the items out but they couldn't find our ticket along with the item we purchased. The whole experience was pretty frustrating. If I had never went to their regular store and enjoy the whole design team and staff, I would never want to go back there again. read more

I asked for help several times and no one approached me. There was a man named Steven/Stephen who was so helpful before but I noticed this time the manager who was a female was not as helpful or nice. This place is criminal. I went in a few weekends ago and saw a set of Slope counter stools in the vegan leather. I took a look at the tag and the list price at the outlet was for $474. But get this: online, BRAND NEW, the SAME STOOL is listed for $299. It's not even real leather. It's for the VEGAN chair. The 40% off the outlet price brought the chair down to $284, a mere $15 less than a BRAND NEW chair. I asked a store rep about this pricing discrepancy and what did they say? Supposedly their outlet system is different from the company system? Does that even make sense?? They said the best they could do is match the online price, but they could NOT then give the 40% off the online price. I've seen other outlet stores do this - mark up the original price of the item and discount it off the marked up price, so you essentially don't pay less at the outlet store. I recently went to the West Elm outlet in Vacaville California and saw a beautiful bed frame. It was damaged, but we noticed a mark down and thought things over. After discussing the price, I decided to follow up and call the store to verify some of the information. "Sarah" picked up the phone at 12:47 PM on Oct 11th. I asked her if she would be willing to verify the price of the bed frame for me. After waiting for some time she told me that the bed was $1,200. I was confused because the bed was the same price online brand new. But I conceded and told her that I would be in touch if I decided to go through with the purchase. After discussing with my significant other, we thought that surely the frame could not be the same price as something brand new, so we followed up again, at around 3:00 PM. The phone was answered and I was asked if I could be put on hold. I agreed and 20 minutes later, the same woman answered from before. I wasn't sure and asked if she could verify the price because we had noticed an additional price markdown at the foot of the frame. She repeatedly interrupted me and responded with anger. I asked her if there was anything I did to upset her because I felt that her treatment was inappropriate. She then assured me that she was not angry and that she simply had to see if the bed was available and wanted to let me know before allowing me to ask any more questions. I asked her if she was certain of the price considering the state of the bed and she finally informed me of a 40% off sale. I told her I was interested in the bed if it was available and I wanted to know if I could give her my credit card information over the phone to reserve the bed because I can't pick it up until a later evening. She again interrupted me and angrily reassured me she had to check for availability. I said ok and she proceeded to "check" and left me on hold for an additional 30 minutes until another woman answered and said it wasn't available. As a genuinely interested customer that was simply concerned about the pricing accuracy, I was completely baffled at the treatment I received from Sarah. Regardless of the outlet prices, buying furniture from West Elm is expensive and it is a big commitment. I tried my best to be consciously polite and kind know that my request to double check the price could be slightly annoying, but her response was entirely unprofessional. She responded with anger, interrupted me multiple times, and left me on hold for a little over an hour in total to check on a bed 10 steps away from the front desk on the showroom floor. I love West Elm, and their furniture and style is beautiful. The showroom floor has a lot of great pieces at fair prices, but the customer service I received simply did not match the quality of the products on display. read more

Store is nice and has a wide variety of inventory. The furniture pieces are all in good shape and seemingly new, which is not the case with other outlets like RH and C&B where most items are damaged or dirty. The pick up process is super easy. The workers package it up and meet you around back. They have new inventory three times a week and post the new arrivals on Instagram so it's easy to follow if you're looking for something in particular. They will only hold an item for two hours though, which can be tricky if coming from outside of Vacaville. read more

West Elm Outlet is a hidden gem! Like any outlet, it's stock level/inventory is hit or miss, but if your furniture needs are vast, you'll find something at a great price. We make the trip up from Sacramento and have never left empty handed. The staff has excellent customer service (shout out to Steven) and are always willing to help with measurements, wrapping your furniture and get your items staged for pickup promptly. read more

Michelle was absolutely wonderful! We drove here from 2 hours away for a specific piece and Michelle was so kind and patient with us. She recommended we check in periodically to make sure our item was still in stock. And she never got annoyed with all my phone calls! When we finally got there she was so warm and helpful. She listened to all our design preferences and gave us such great suggestions. We almost ended up buying another piece of furniture we hadn't even thought of thanks to her great suggestions!
