Kris and Akin are amazing! My back hurt so bad I thought I was going to be unable to walk anymore. I walked into Mattress Barn, Kris greeted me, I sighed very deeply, and she sprang into action! We tried about 7 different mattresses, but I kept going back to the one that I eventually bought. (It was the black Helix mattress by the window!) Within days, my back began to realign and I feel like I'm actually getting SLEEP. Akin delivered it to my house, and he took my old mattress. He showed me how to replace the topper, and gave me tips on how to be successful with the mattress. I am so thankful that I walked into Mattress Barn that day. read more

Akin is the best. Based on Yelp reviews and elsewhere, we started our search for a new bed at his store. He has a wide selection of mattresses and frames in the store, at various price points. He took time to listen to us about what we were looking for and suggested starting with three different mattress brands. We spent a lot of time trying out various beds, and at the end of the day, compromised between us. I wanted something softer, my partner wanted more firm. So we settled in the middle and put in our order. Akin was very responsive and patient. He kept us in the loop about delivery and dates. When the day came, he and his assistant made the delivery, and set everything up. After sleeping on the bed few weeks, it seemed more firm than we wanted, so we gave Akin a call. He was very gracious, as always, and we agreed to test the bed for several more weeks. Ultimately, we did decide to exchange the bed and frame (which we had only seen in a catalog). Akin was great. We went back to the store and chose a bed that we thought would be better for us. Akin was wonderful and made the whole transaction seamless, and even figured out how to make a few adjustments to our order to save money. We are beyond thrilled with the bed and frame now. Akin went above and beyond to make sure we were happy sleepers. I highly recommend Mattress Barn! read more

My adult daughter and I were both in need of new mattresses. We did our research and thought we knew which brand we wanted. Then we searched for where to find it and found Mattress Barn. Fairfield was close. We were in heaven when we walked through the door. Rick was fabulous. I have a very fragile back and my daughter has issues with hers. Rick knew right where to begin to look. I ended up buying the first mattress that he had me try and my daughter bought the second. For her it was a hard choice. We also ended up getting pillows that have been a godsend. The first night we slept on our new mattresses with our new pillows was a night from heaven. My 30 pound dog loves making the bed with me and the cat sleeps all day on my daughter's bed with his toy. We ordered new mattress protecters through your store and are thrilled with their performance. Can't say enough good things about Rick and the store. He instantly knew what to show us that would meet our needs. He is very friendly and professional at the same time (hard to find anymore). I wish I could deal with him for everything I buy. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being there when we needed you. read more

Excellent experience from the moment we walked in the door until the moment we laid in the bed! Could not be happier. We got the mattress we wanted at a fantastic price. If you need a mattress this is the place to get it! read more

My wife and I stayed at an AirBnB and fell in love with a Tuft and Needle mattress, but it had been a couple of years after and we wanted to see if we still loved it as much. We came here because it was the only shop in the Bay that had a model on the floor to try. When we got there Rick was quick to help out and showed us the Tuft and Needle mattress and we hated it! He told us it might have been a different model that we loved, but he was happy to show us all the other mattresses. We went around and tried tons, they have so many different styles! Rick was very knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely helpful he showed us one of the Eastman House mattresses after asking us our sleep styles and when we tried it, we immediately knew this was the one. Rick was a total charm and gave us a great deal and even included some free pillows! He's the absolute best! Highly recommend Mattress Barn and Rick if you're looking for help choosing the right mattress! read more

So it was time for me to get a new bed, I went shopping at another place 2 months ago, that said everything will be ready and be delivered by first week of Oct. So I waited and after many delivery attempts with incomplete items, I was fed up and decided to cancel the whole transaction. I looked through Yelp to find businesses that were more local and reliable and found Mattress Barn. I figured that I should try my luck with buying from a smaller business. Last week I walked in, told Rick what I wanted and he showed me a few mattresses to try. The second mattress I sat on was the winner. I added a bunky board, two dreamy pillows and a mattress protector and was done in less than an hour. "So what are you going to do after this?" Rick asked. " I don't know, I thought finding the right mattress was going to take the whole day but you made it so easy," I laughed, "I'm glad I came here first!" Although the business isn't one of those mega square foot inventory filled establishments, it's family owned and has a friendly environment, with an adorable black cat. Rick was so helpful, he still took the time to tell me about the products even if I already made my mind up to purchase them. He said due to covid, the mattress was probably going to take about 2 weeks, and so I waited before writing a review. Yesterday they called me to set up a delivery time for today. "I thought it was 2 weeks," I said to Joe, the delivery guy. "Yeah,we have your bed ready in less than a week, we were surprised too." He said. Delivery went smoothly. They wore masks and gloves and socially distanced. Overall really happy with this store and would recommend them highly. Very helpful from start to finish. read more

This spot is out of the way for me, but I would certainly go back again if I needed another mattress. We had one on one service from Kris, and we felt no rush to make a decision. The prices seemed good compared to what's online. Delivery was smooth as well. We are really loving our new mattress, and I think we picked well because we really tried a lot of them... With no pressure. Thanks a bunch. read more

Always excellent service from experienced staff. Small / local business really in tune to the community needs. Fast turnaround to get questions answered, good inventory in stock and easy to order everything else. read more

Update. Still good prices and good options. Just fyi.. there are no returns/exchanges due to covid. I got the wrong size mattress, went back 5 days after it got delivered and was informed no returns due to covid from what i was told when i came into the store. It isn't stated on the receipt so just FYI. read more

Mattress Barn - Mattresses Near Me - Fairfield, California

Last Friday, we went looking for a bedroom set and matress. When we walked in, he greeted us, I guess the owner, then gave us a giant size catalog of all this furniture, and showed us the computer were you could navigate for more furniture sets. No prices on catalog, and he wouldn't even bother to probe more, to find out what we were looking for. Since I didn't see any interest, we decided to leave. As we were walking out, the owner said, " oh, so you didn't found $300 sets right." Disgusting person and comment! He treated us, like we couldn't afford the furniture he sells. Little did he know, we did purchase a $3,000 bedroom set, at a place where they do care about their customers, and treat them with dignity and respect! read more

OMG! I'm moving into a gorgeous home in Georgia soon, and I wanted for any and all my (future) guests to experience the same level of comfort I experienced with the Cal King Mattress set I purchased for myself, so I bought 2 more sets! (I won't be able to make them leave, I'm sure!) Family owned! Great prices! Fantastic selection! And, the friendliest, most accommodating, no pressure staff I've met in a long time! So, next time you feel like lying around, do it there, and be spoiled while you're at it! -C.Spells read more

After visiting a few mattress stores for my son, he decided on a mattress sold at Mattress Barn because the mattress had the best feel when he lied down on it. Rick was very helpful. There was a 2-week lead time with the manufacturer since the mattress was made to order. Despite the prevalent supply chain issues, the mattress was ready as promised. The delivery staff was on time and very courteous. Overall Mattress Barn deserves all the positive reviews that it has received on Yelp. read more

I would give 10 stars if I could! I was looking for a place nearby that carried a particular brand of mattress (Restonic) and Mattress Barn came up in my search. Family owned, carrying quality products that are made in the USA, I decided to stop by and check them out. Ended up finding an even BETTER mattress brand that I am over the moon about. Not only did I have the BEST customer service from Akin, they do not pressure you at all at the store when shopping AND it comes with a warranty! Thank you thank you thank you for the best mattress shopping experience Mattress Barn! I will be referring everyone to you guys. read more

Wow, what a great job from both inside the store and out. Larry was our salesman and I highly recommend you ask for him. He was very knowledgeable and was a big help with my daughter trying to find a bed. He explained the pros and cons of each bed. I felt like he never tried to direct us to the higher end bed. Believe me , we tried them all. The delivery team I could ask for better guys. They spent the time setting up the new bed and even helped us move the older furniture.. read more

My husband and I were looking for a new bed for our daughter. We had a budget in mind and stopped at mancini's to check out their selection. The salesman there was so pushy we ended up leaving. We stopped by mattress barn where Rick greeted us with a smile. We told him what we were looking for and he quickly took us to a selection that matched our budget. He ended up showing us pictures of his trip to Mexico. It felt as if he was family. I will be recommending to all mu friends and family. Definitely the best place to go! I've gotten 2 beds and a dresser from Mattress Barn. I believe in keeping business local and these guys never let me down. Pay the extra $ to have your furniture delivered. Hands down the best mattress store in the Fairfield/Vacaville area! My wife and I were in need of a quality mattress and fast. We looked all over and saw that Mattress Barn had the best reviews around. We decided to try it out, and we were extremely impressed with Akin. He helped us out with finding the perfect mattress and even put a rush order so we could get the mattress quick. Akin was a pleasure to work with and I can't say enough good things about him! read more

My husband and I had a Great experience here!! We moved from San Francisco to Pacifica today, and the store owner sent a nice man to bring the bed all the way from Fairfield to Pacifica for a very reasonable delivery fee. The entire crew was very friendly, helpful, and they undersold big-box bed stores. Our in-store experience was also fantastic with the owner, Rick. What a nice man - knowledgeable & interested in setting us up with the right mattress for us - not just selling the most expensive bed. We highly recommend purchasing your next bed here!! read more

So while I like shopping local, I don't appreciate the exaggerated mark up of furniture (a place that rhymes with Smashley come to mind). So I had an idea of what I wanted to spend for a big girl bed for my daughter. I went a few place near by and they wanted about $100 above my budget and they didn't have that good of a selection. I came to Mattress Barn because I noticed it as I left the other place. I saw the amazing reviews so I decided to come in. Rick was helping another customer but acknowledged me and told me he'd be with me shortly. In the meantime, I asked him for a tape measure to make sure the headboard wasn't too high. He gave me one. When he was done he came over to assist me he was extremely helpful and all of their items were clearly marked with the price. We chatted while we did the paper work which was very simple and he worked with me regarding if I would need delivery or not (of which I wasn't sure). I was able to get a friend to bring there truck over to pick it up the next day and another gentleman helped us load it up. I assembled the bed in about 30 min. Easy peasy. This was a wonderful experience. Also they had a cool interactive screen for looking up furniture. Lots of options. Should I need any furniture in the future I will come to them first. read more

Never have I experienced such lovely kind sales people! No pressure to buy and the discount was amazing!!! I have a beautiful mattress and pad plus sheets that are far superior to previous pricing! Thank you so much!!! I'll be back for a headboard soon! read more

I'll be honest, we knew this was the place when their cat Sparky, rubbed up against my leg. Any place who's best salesmen is their adopted alley cat is the place to be. The owner was delightful, helpful, and allowed us to try mattresses for extended periods of time. It was overall less a business transaction and more a friendly service for a 10 + year commitment. We paid far less than most areas and he explained all the benefits and found the best for us without a lot of upselling! read more

Rick was awesome, so friendly and knowledgeable, genuinely cared about our comfort and did not pressure us to buy the most expensive mattress in the store! After shopping all of the mattress stores in the area that were supposively having big sales, we ended up buying here. It is the only place you can get a good mattress in the $600 range. NO ONE had anything for that. Thank you Rick and mattress barn, what a great company that cares about customers. read more

Great customer service, Rick was cool, knowledgeable and pacient. We went here first and we were helped by Rick, after he showed us all our options we told him we were going shop around for other options first. We went to sleep train and it seemed that they jacked up their prices for the holiday weekend to make you think you were getting a deal, we then went to mancinis and the two employees that were in there were too caught up with their computers that we had to leave. We went back to mattress barn bought a mattress and called it a day. read more

So was a little nervous after reading a couple really bad reviews but overall they were positive so I decided to check them out. It was a lot smaller "barn" than I thought it would be but hey I had just come from Ashley Furniture where it was so big I got lost. Maybe it was just me :) Someone greeted us right away and started showing us mattresses based on our needs. We walked out of there less than 30 minutes later with a CA King mattress and a complete double bed set with frame, rails, box spring and mattress for 1300. This included delivery and haul away of old stuff. It was quick and easy and really affordable. Ashley Furniture quoted me 2k for a mattress vs the 800 I paid here and they were basically same quality. Overall Ashley was 1k higher than Mattress Barn for everything I bought. I also asked his opinion on several other places in the area because I wanted a sofa sleeper. He told me to pass on a few and then suggested Three Brothers Furniture in Vallejo. I skipped hours of looking at a bunch of places and I went straight there based on his recommendation. I left 3Bros 30 minutes later with a 950 sleeper sofa. Right on! My shopping was done and he didn't steer me wrong. I was really impressed with the ease of purchase and good value I received from Mattress Barn. OK, my things haven't actually been delivered yet and I haven't slept on it but if something goes horribly wrong I will let you know. Until then, I'm good and you will be too if you shop at Mattress Barn!. read more

This time I brought my husband with me( a must for a final mattress purchase for couples). Again, we were not dissappinted! We even went to all the rest of the mattress places on the street to compare different mattresses. We went back to Mattress barn for these few reasons: - customer service is sincere, informing and honest. Akin, the owner, is a true gentleman and knows his products well. - prices are very competitive. We had a cheap mattress for 7 years and this time chose ab organic memory foam with adjustable base. We knew we wanted have a bigger budget and the other two places did not have what we wanted within that price range, comfort, settings. We were ok with waiting a week for order and delivery. Overall, other places have nothing on a family owned local business that truly works with your budget and your requests of a specific mattress. We even received a personal thank you card from the owner with a small thank you gift! Thank you Akin for everything! I hope the mattress is all the comfort as we experienced in your store. Can't wait to sleep on it! read more

This review is for their service since we just purchased and haven't received the mattresses yet. Bought both of our daughter's full size mattresses from Rick. He is extremely professional and does not pressure like many of the big name stores. They have a good selection from entry to royalty level. Rick never once made us feel uncomfortable, never pushed the more expensive product on us, in fact, did just the opposite and asked a lot of questions to make sure it was the right choice for our girls. Aside from the great price we got, it was really Rick who made our decision to purchase from Mattress Barn very easy. read more

I was amazed at the selection, quality and prices in this store. I have lived in the area for 15 years, and they have the nicest store and the friendliest employees. I was told they are a family run business and it really shows in their caring and effort to find the right mattresses for my family. Not only that, it is great to have a locally owned business that really spruced up the neighborhood when they completely remodeled the building and made the neighborhood more attractive. I met the owner and his wife and super cute dog, Daisy. I'll definitely tell all my friends to check this place out! read more
