My fiancé and I recently visited the Ashley Furniture location in Fairfield to purchase a bedroom set. We initially came in, found something we liked, and informed the salesperson, Jordan, that we would return the following day to complete the purchase. When we came back, our experience quickly became frustrating. Throughout the process, Jordan repeatedly attempted to upsell us on items and services we clearly stated we did not want. Every step of the purchase seemed to involve additional charges or add-ons we hadn't asked for. One specific issue involved a Stearns & Foster mattress that was displayed on the sales floor with a price of $4,000. Jordan informed us that the online price was actually $4,400, and said he would check with his supervisor about honoring the displayed price. When he returned, he told us that since we were paying cash for the furniture and financing the mattress, the manager approved an $1,800 credit, which we felt was fair. However, things continued to go downhill when we began the financing application for the mattress. Jordan initially encouraged us to apply for about $9,500 in financing, even though we had made it clear we were only financing the mattress. After we were easily approved, he then pushed us to request even more credit, which felt unnecessary and inappropriate. While waiting for the mattress financing, my fiancé asked if he could go ahead and pay for the furniture with cash. When we reviewed the receipt, we noticed multiple protection plans and additional charges added to the purchase that we never agreed to. When we questioned this, Jordan insisted that these protection plans were required with the furniture purchase. From our experience buying furniture in the past, we knew these plans are optional, not mandatory. At that point, the situation became very uncomfortable. Jordan continued to push the additional services and even began mentioning personal reasons, such as needing to support his daughter, which felt like an attempt to guilt us into accepting the extra charges so he could earn a commission. To make matters worse, another employee at the front counter who was assisting him verified our information but laughed and joked about the situation rather than helping resolve it professionally. The entire interaction felt dismissive and extremely unprofessional. Because of this experience, we chose to leave the Fairfield store without making the purchase. Fortunately, we went to another Ashley Furniture location in Concord, where we worked with Mohammed, and the experience was the complete opposite. Mohammed provided excellent customer service, clearly explained everything, confirmed that protection plans were optional, and still honored the discounts we were previously offered. In fact, he helped us receive even additional discounts, and we ultimately purchased everything we originally wanted at a lower price than Jordan was advising us of. The contrast between the two stores was shocking. The Fairfield location provided the worst customer service experience we have ever had, while the Concord location demonstrated exactly how customers should be treated. Ashley Furniture should seriously review the sales practices happening at the Fairfield store, particularly with the salesperson Jordan. Customers should never feel pressured, misled, or forced into services they did not request. read more

This has been a very frustrating delivery experience. We ordered on January 1. The original delivery date was January 16, then we were told January 9--and only part of the order will be delivered on January 9. After a day we received a cancellation we then spoke with a supervisor, he stated that partial shipment wasn't available and the delivery was pushed again to January 20. The biggest issue is communication: there's no reliable way to reach anyone, the email provided to us was invalid, and the tracking is not detailed enough to be useful. We also could not get a simple estimate of when the warehouse would receive the remaining item. We're still waiting for our sectional sleeper to be delivered in full. read more

It felt like a used car lot, but for furniture. We came into browse to see what they had. We were greeted by Tammy and told her we are just looking. A few minutes later she came up to us again and asked if we had any questions, we said no we are just looking. Then she came up to us again and said she would love to show us some mattresses and we told her we are not looking for mattresses, she responded that you don't have to buy, she just knows a lot about mattresses she said. We decided to sit down on a couch for a moment to see if it was comfortable and again she comes up to us, now this has all happened in less than 10 minutes of us being in the store. I finally told her we need some space and rather than just saying okay and giving us space, she says she has to do her job. Her job must be to harass the customer so much that they leave the store without buying anything. These type of sales tactics are a real deal killer. read more

When I finally got in touch with the store (after they took forever to pick up) they stiffed me on it. Located off I-80 west, it's a huge big box store you can't miss, unless you're not paying attention to that Green Valley exit that surprisingly comes up real quick. Honestly, this store has beautiful furniture, but it is one of the pricer places I've been to . Thankfully, it's my mom who wanted a new couch for her living room. I recommend if you can get it, a nice line of credit...it's perfect for paying off your household items within a year's time...no interest. One backlash is the fact that the sales personnel do make more on commission so they can be a little aggressive, but if you go there, I would ask for Divina- nice mature Filipino woman. Do not buy from Ashley! We purchased a couch October 2024 and had paid for delivery and install as well as a protection plan. Fast forward November 2025 we moved the couch for the FIRST time and we realized the legs of the couch came off because the bolts to the couch were stripped! I called and was informed that it was out of the one year warranty and I said we paid for your service to set up the couch and because we didn't move the couch (we never moved it because it only fit in one spot of the apartment). How are we suppose to see through the fabric to see that it's all stripped and because there is no leg the couch leans. I was informed that even if it was with in the year but because we MOVED the couch that it voided that warranty all together! I can't believe that!! I do not recommend this location. My brother & his fiancé went here this past week, looking for a bedroom set for their new apartment that they will be moving into a couple weeks before they get married at the end of this month. They were originally assisted by Agnes who was great & helped them find a set they really liked. They ended up buying the set for $3000+ & it came with a $400 automatic warranty? I thought warranties were either optional or included in the listed price. But whatever. They returned to the store with my father to speak to the customer service manager. My brother felt pressured by the manager to still move forward with the set & the manager even made a comment to my brother when he said he wanted to cancel telling him "trust your guts, as long as it's not anyone else's guts," with what came off as a pretty snarky tone & seemed to imply not to listen to our dad's advice to cancel the order? Not a great experience for my brother & his fiancé & I'm not surprised as I've had a similar experience in the past. I also was in the market to buy some furniture for the apartment I was about to move into. The store reps were pretty dismissive towards me & weren't helpful with any of the questions I had about pricing. "Just look at the price tag hanging on the furniture sets. It's all on there." Not a great place for first time home owners or first time apartment renters. It's like they'll either take advantage of you or be dismissive. I do like Ashley furniture sets though. They're great. I walked past a sales associate three times and the woman NEVER once asked if my husband and I needed help. The two previous trips in, NO one ever asked us if they could assist us. Same experience today. What we noticed on each one of our visits hopeful it would be better each time, is they would engage with older couple, or couples with no melatonin in their skin. However, i just couldn't tell myself to buy here because prices are too much even for a faux leather, this is the worse kind of materials for any high usage furniture. I received 2 text messages to confirm my delivery and no one showed up. I called to find out that the delivery needed to be reschedule and there was no communications sent out (supposedly they do not have to let you know if it gets rescheduled) also my items were "backordered" Why would yall send 2 confirmation messages for a delivery that couldn't be fulfilled? I definitely didn't feel pressured and was able to get the items I wanted for a reasonable price. We were working with Aubrey for a few days and she was super responsive and attentive to our needs. She made sure we did the sleep test to figure out which bed was perfect for us. She also was in communication with us during the delivery process to make sure everything was what we ordered! Inquiry for a dresser for my bed room. Although there is a wide selection of dresser available here (as well as bed frames, bed night stands, couches, lazy boy seats, tables, and more) we felt the the prices were way over our price range. Mind you, they have the layout from left to right goes from most expensive, to least expensive. But material is the same.... The least expensive dresser I found was $400 and you might ask but it's about the quality, the look, the material... yeah your right. My husband, 8 year old daughter and myself went to this store yesterday to purchase new furniture for our living room. I was hesitant because we purchased our dining room furniture from here 5 years ago, and they are super expensive. After visiting a different store previously, my husband convinced me to check out Ashley. We walked through the entire store and finally decided on a sofa, oversized chair and ottoman. When approached by a sales lady, we informed her that we were ready to "check out". She brought us to a computer kiosk and after a few minutes, she informed us that the side tables we wanted were not available at this time. She said, "If you want to go look around more to see if there are other side tables you may want, I'll be right here." We walked around (5-7 minutes) and returned to the kiosk, where Daisy was no where to be found. My husband and daughter headed to the restrooms and I sat there waiting. As I was sitting there, Daisy came out from the back office, walked toward me then turned to her left and hollered (hands wrapped around her mouth to project her voice) "Pugh, PUGH!". She then turned back around and went back into the back. I walked up to the counter as associates were passing by me and talking amongst themselves. Finally, I stopped a woman and told her the situation. She went into the back, came out and proceeded to "chat" with a different associate, as I stood there. I finally asked, "Well? Is she coming out?" The associate that was chatting with her turned around and snarkly said, "She is in meeting, she will be with you when she can." I was so irritated that when my husband returned from the restroom and I told him what had happened, I said, "I don't even want to do business here. I don't want to give them our money." A different associate overheard and apologized deeply for the situation. I asked her if she could help us. Karrisah was such a sweet, attentive associate, who turned the experience around and helped us get checked out. During this transaction, "Daisy" approached us and apologized. "I'm so sorry, I had a meeting." I replied, "Well you could've said that!" Turns out, she is the MANAGER of this store! Absolutely inexcusable! Horrible customer service and management skills. She should be leading by example. I'm an HR Director for a nationwide company. She should be ashamed of herself. Maybe she should stick to employee management and stay away from sales which inhibits her ability to provide customer service to patrons who are spending a lot of hard earned money at that establishment. Thank you Karissah for helping us, being so sweet and attentive and providing exemplary customer service! I gave this store 2 stars ONLY because of Karissah.
