I really don't know why it was dark inside like they're saving electricity I walked in at 10am. My main focus that day was to look for fabric. There was some fabric, but what got me a little disappointed is that they were priced very high for the amount of material it had. They had some cute selection though for house stuff but you have to work and search for it (which is the thrill of thrifting). Not so sure about the clothes and shoes since that was not my focus. The space is good enough but not big like a goodwill or savers. Still work to check out. read more

I have twin adolescent boys who often outgrow their clothing thus, clothes are barely worn and some still have tags on them. ALL of the clothes are in excellent condition. Being the socially conscious person that I am, I try to donate winter clothes during winter and summer clothes during summer. My twin boys and I recently did an overhaul on their closet and came up with about 7 garbage bags of CLEAN, name brand (Gap, Nike, North Face, Levi, Columbia, etc.) winter clothing, jacket, puff vest, sweat jackets, hoodies, etc to donate. I identified Opportunity House in Fairfield because they have a shelter and claim to support struggling families. Well, needless to say, no good deed goes unpunished. As soon as I got out of my car and made it to the trunk, a man comes out yelling, we not taking clothes. He procceds to point to a small sign on the door. Deep down I feel that his decision not to accept my donation was based on my skin color and the car that I was driving (most peeps like me have two cars: an around town car and your super nice car that you dont really want the kids and the dog in). And if you'd ever been in the store and browsed the clothes, you would agree that the quality of the clothes is poor, out of style, and has the potential to get kids teased if they aren't home schooled. To top it off and to confirm that the refusal to accept my donation was based on skin color, while parked waiting for one of my twins to exit the store, a white man gets out a car that was worst looking mine, with a bag that had a high probability of being clothes went in and his donation was accepted! I try so hard to give back to the community but it's the ignorant, racist, discriminatory individuals who ruin it for the rest of the community! My kids and I were super excited to give because we knew that those clothes would make the Christmas for a few young boys (high school/middle school) in need and that they would go to school feeling good about the way the looked, not to mention being warm.......our society and the Opportunity House needs to wake up! ....I just hope that the families that these clothes were intended for receive them instead of resellers who get first pick at the Goodwill bins that are often regionally located thus, being of no benefit to community where the clothes were donated. Good job Opportunity House! Sorry to say but I will never attempt to support you again! read more

This is very unfortunate because I am a regular customer but I can't keep quiet. This place is suppose to help support homeless people and people in need. I've witness a worker time and time again harassing and belittle other employees and the homeless. A worker name Elena was yelling at her worker for 5 'min while he was cashiering. There was a long line of us. She didn't stop yelling at him nor did she help him with the line. Today I witness the same women yelling at a homeless women in front of the store. Yelling at her with a loud speaker and turning the siren on hoping she would leave. This homeless woman wasn't doing anything wrong but asking for help. She told the poor lady she was going to call the police. This is wrong and I hope something is done! read more

This is a pretty good thrift store. Pretty good pricing. Can be a little disorganized in the store. But the more important thing is that the donations they get at this location, they take to the Opportunity House homeless shelter in Vacaville. read more

5 Stars for the kind gal who helped me at the register. I am new to the area and did not know about how wonderful this store is. This is a non-profit which utilizes the proceeds of sales to assist the homeless. They have another location in Vacaville, as well as a shelter. Clothes & Nick Nacks were 50% off today, so I scored big time! My only issue is things seemed a little chaotic in the store, and there were quite a few things either unpriced or overpriced. I'm new to the area and this was the first thrift store I visited, so I'm not sure how it compares to others in the area. read more

This place is great. The selection is huge. The prices are pretty good. I just got a bunch of picture frames and a juicer but there is a lot of really good other stuff there too. I don't know how they decide their prices, some of the furniture is very low priced and some is very high. There was a sofa for $40 but there was a recliner for $800! There are various discounts for different days. Military 15% and on Monday it's 30% off for seniors! I forget the other discounts. I'm glad I found this place because a few other thrift stores in FF did not survive the pandemic :( read more

The collectibles and sports items are overpriced, most are really damaged. They price the golf clubs like they are brand new and act like they paid tons of money for them. Only thing I like about the thrift store is the customer service which they are super nice and helpful with everything. Also, the clothes are priced at a very good deal. read more

I went in this past week and had a wonderful encounter with a woman named Kathleen. She was wonderful and helped me on the sales floor with everything I was interested in. The selection of the store was great. I found quite a few things I really liked. It's not the cheapest thrift store but it has better value than the other ones I've been to. read more

Picked-over, nearly bare shelves and clothing selection with a narrow size range. Staff are friendly and there's space to have more stuff. Definitely check it out if you live here and can scout what days are best, but don't make a special trip of any distance. read more

This location is slightly better than the Vacaville one, but still overpriced. For some reason, the selection here is extensive, but I feel like I don't want to buy as much. Perhaps they're picked over more by collectors, or maybe they don't get very many nice things. Do not bring your kids here, there are all kinds of crazy transients around this area, and the Food4Less store next door clearly attracts them. read more

Let me say that it doesn't matter if you renovate or reorganize this thrift shop it still won't a difference if the staff is rude. I understand you don't have a bathroom for public use but you could of let a 70-year-old lady go quickly. Last week I came in to make a donation and the older black lady named kathleen that helped me came to my car and helped me take all my stuff in. She was a pleasure to work with and I am so grateful for her help. Sunday I came back in with my husband and kathleen helped me again with bringing in my donations. I didn't shop inside the store so I can't speak on the selection or value of the store but the service is great and kathleen was a pleasure. read more

Opportunity House is a local charity that focuses on women. They work with local women with housing challenges. They, house, train and help these women to find jobs and housing. They do great work. read more

Came here to get some scrubs for work, wasn't a huge selection but it was nice that there was a little spot specifically for their scrubs.

Meh, its ok. There really isnt any rhyme or reason to the way they display/organize the clothing. As a matter of fact, right when you walk in the place they have a sign hanging from the ceiling above the clothing area this says "clothing for all" and that seems to explain exactly how lazy their approach is to any form of organization. The clothing "area", which is, right as you walk in door, is just all akimbo with the womens, mens, girls and boysll kind of blending together in a very unharmonious nature. Two other things... One is very important and the second is simple but the right thing to add, the staff i encountered were very polite. Now, number one. Some of the clothing was a bit funky, as in odorous. And one item I pulled off the rack, a white, lacey dress, short, really cute, well it had 4 dime-sized blood stains, on the back of the dress, towards the bottom hem. Ladies, you know the type of stains i speak of. Very unhygienic, and on a short, white dress that i assume came from donation, hard to miss. Not saying it was hung up for sale deliberately, but they definitely we're not inspecting the clothing very well. So that's that! I'm giving it three stars because, well it's just a thrift store that does something for the community I'm assuming. Whenever you buy stuff from thrift stores, you really should inspect for yourself before you buy. I always do. I check zippers. buttons. pockets, etc. I check for holes, tears and stains. Nothing makes you feel more petty than returns at a thrift store. read more

Went to this thrift store because of the reviews. Well apparently the workers posted them. This place was very chaotic with very little organization. Needed a shirt and that was a total disaster. Not in sizes, not even arranged in any sort of anything. Men's, kids and women's were all just put on the racks, it was frustrating at best. I have been to other Opportunity House Thrift stores but this was the worst thrift store I have ever been to. So I will never shop there again. read more
