I have to echo Angel's sentiments. The shift from the original cardboard boxes to the new plastic containers marked the beginning of a noticeable decline in both quality and value. Portions have gotten smaller--especially the meat--and there's a clear increase in filler items like fries and tots. The flavor profile has also changed for the worse, and even the side sauces seem different now, lacking the same quality they once had. It's a cute place on the boulevard - but, as I said, we didn't dine in. The hot was HOT - can't imagine what the Sassy AF is like, but if you enjoy spice as we do, it was very flavorful as well. We were a party of 4 and had the following, 10 pc Sassy nuggets w/ fries, 2 tenders w/ fries, loaded tots, loaded fries, jalapeño poppers and mac n cheese. Fries and tots come with coleslaw and pickles. Start off with the tenders, super juicy and crunchy. The asked for it mild but you can change the heat on any of the chicken. Next the nuggets, not your typical nuggets. They were nice and big, freshly made with a medium heat rub. Now the loaded totes super crispy all the toppings that are poured all over made it a great combination. I didn't taste the loaded fries but was told the are amazing. The Mac n cheese was cheesy and had a smooth taste. Poppers hot and crispy with just the right amount of cheese. The great thing I learned was that they use premium chicken breast's that are never frozen. The portions are big and every order is made fresh. I didn't have to wait long but was told that on the weekends it's better to order ahead. So I definitely recommend the food. The young lady who explained the process was really nice and patient. The sassy mac bowl was okay i had higher hopes for the mac and cheese and thought it would come out how it was pictured with the mac sitting on top of the fries however it was at the very bottom and had no flavor and lacked the cheese part so it was pretty sad, the chicken and slaw were good & fries were crispy id give it an overall 5 out of 10 rating only because the Mac was not Maccin lol the cheesy Sando was also okay the big chicken breast piece is a bit thick makes it become overwhelming trying to comfortably eat it maybe it could be less thick it would probably make it easier to eat and better in my opinion overall chicken cheesy Sando 4.5 out of 10. I ordered the sassy wrap and a side of fries. Pickles were a .50 cent charge. The wrap was good but the fries weren't crispy at all, and I'm a sucker for crispy fries! My husband had the sassy sando with a side of tots. He said he enjoyed the sando until it came down to the last couple bites of it bc the coleslaw made the bread soggy at the end. But the tots were crispy and good! We each got a Mexican drink too. Together the bill was $40! Pretty expensive if you ask me. I've been coming to sassy since it opened. For the past few months, the tater tots have been hit or miss. Sometimes they're as they should be, golden brown and crispy. And other times (more than often) they're over cooked, hard, crunchy and dark brown. I've had to throw away tot orders several times because they were just inedible. Tonight was the last straw. I tasted my tots before leaving, and they tasted burnt!! Again! They were a dark brown color and were dry & hard. I gave them back to the cashier girl. Told her they were burnt and tasted terrible. She looked puzzled and told me they were a fresh batch. I asked her to taste one because it tasted disgusting. She walked away and talked with the cook. She came back and told me that the cook told her, 'that's how the tots are supposed to be cooked.' Lol wow. Really? They're supposed to be dark brown and overcooked? Ok. So I asked her for a refund. I was done with always getting overcooked tater tots. She said the cook was making a "fresh" batch. I told her, "if they're going to come out overcooked Again, then I don't want them. I just want a refund". She said no, they would be cooked right. So I agreed to wait. My order in hand, getting cold for those extra minutes of waiting. She then asked me if I wanted to keep the overcooked ones. I said, "eww no! Did you try them? It's awful!" She just stood there and looked confused. A few minutes later I received the new box. I wasn't surprised to try those and taste that they were also overcooked and hard. I just left at that point. It was 1/8/23 at 6pm. It's freezing outside. My foods cold. I wasted money. No more. Enough is enough. I had no idea their food quality was going downhill until I checked Yelp. I thought Sassy Bird was better than this. Better than most food places. Very disappointing to find out otherwise. Very sad. We frequent this place twice a week. I just can't keep throwing money away. read more

Don't believe the lies! It's a small venue, walls need to be updated as paint is old and when you enter you must order at the counter in a 10x10 space. The customer service was good greeted with a smile and the menu on the big screen was hard to see and as I was searching the menu the counter person offered me a iPad to look at the menu and was helpful with questions since it was my first time. The order was completed in a short time and brought to the picnic bench right outside on the sidewalk next to the curb. The problem is this- the chicken was dry and HARD not moist, the flavor of the sandwich was bland, I chose mild but still the coleslaw with the spice covered chicken good idea but poor flavor and quality. I WILL NEVER return because of the bill! I was charged for the fries, the bottled drink choices were the Hispanic variety soft drinks no fountain drinks there, but my goodness $40.00 for lunch for two and it wasn't tasty, I think not! The Mac & Cheese was $8-9 and although i did read that it was an 8 oz serving i just figured it would be a decent amount. First of all, one of the heftiest chicken sandwiches I've ever had! Easily shared with 2 people (at least people with relatively small stomachs). Great sauce that brings a lot of flavor and while the chicken isn't so dry, it still has the crunch! Love that the fries are thick, not quite steak fries but still seasoned and delicious. I love Nashville style hot chicken and I love Howlin' Rays but I hate the drive and wait. I had seen Sassy Bird and had put off going. Finally today was the day. I enjoy relatively hot food, 4 on a scale of 5. At Howlin's I usually eat the level just below their hottest. My mistake was not realizing that regular was below mild and had zero heat. So to say this chicken was bland is an understatement. So that was squarely my fault. We ordered a chicken sandwich and loaded tots both with regular chicken. We arrived just as they texted our order was ready. I picked it up and we drove the 7 minutes home. We shared the sandwich and tots. It was prepared precisely as we asked and was well packed. When we got home the food was absolutely ice cold. The chicken did not have a crispy coating it was flavorless mush and the bun was soaked, cold and fell apart. The chicken in the sandwich was huge but with no flavor, but the chicken itself had been overcooked and was rubbery and bone dry; inedible. The tots were also ice cold. The chicken was also an extremely generous serving, unfortunately it was ice cold and also overcooked to the point of dry and rubbery. I am very disappointed. I do plan to try another meal there although this time probably just a tender at the hottest heat level during a busier time because the tots and chicken tasted like it had been sitting under a food warmer for an extended period of time.
