The burger was bomb, the meat had a bit of crisp on it, and the flavors were perfect. Also got the Superman and it was sweet af, I couldn't do it lol but I can see why people like the fruit punch/lemonade mix. Service was outstanding, everyone was nice and attentive. The guy let me try their secret sauce that was also good. It's a small spot so standing room only, order ahead and pick it up, they get packed during rush.

It's unbelievable the amount of entitled people leaving bad reviews on this account. First of all not even leaving reviews about the food but about PAINT and how small the place is. If business owners were able to make their place bigger to add more seating I'm sure they would love to, so you can sit down and not complain. Don't even get me started about the paint, didn't know you were going to a restaurant to judge paint, or to eat it. Let me leave an actual useful review now. I've showed up twice to this place, two different days and different times. Wait times vary, my first experience I waited 20 minutes to order and to receive my food. Second time visiting it was only about 5-10 minutes. They don't decide on how much people show up so obviously they don't always have the same wait times. I got a chicken sandwich Hot and there was a good kick to it. Chicken was hot and fresh, cooked well. It was very big filled me up forsure which I now understand why they price the sandwich at what it is. I also had their loaded fries hot which were delicious as well. Didn't know what to expect about a combination of fries with coleslaw but let me tell you it was wonderful definitely a unique taste, definitely would recommend friends and family to try them out for themselves. Flavoring is very inconsistent, after trying it several times their seasoning seems to change every time. I like to review a restaurant after giving it a few tries, specially when they are new. Unfortunately over the weekend we decided to give it another try, as we are supporting all local small businesses during COVID19. Again it was not great! Not only was everything literally thrown onto the plates, we ended up throwing all this food away a total of 5 plates. Everything was disgusting! Also, the person managing the place was so rude! All restaurants are working on curbside pick-up, which we support. As we got there i got out to place my order, not knowing that they are strictly taking orders online. You would think they would want business during these hard times, its not like they have big enough signs to say to only order online. My kids really wanted it so we placed the order online and once ready we picked it up and that man was still rude. I've been coming to Sassy Bird for about five years, and the food is consistently delicious. I've tried a variety of items on the menu, but the loaded fries are my favorite--they're crispy, generously portioned, and really flavorful. I also love dipping them in their mayo sauce. I was looking around for a new place to try and I saw this place and from the photos it looked amazing! I spent $50, and the only good thing about the meal were the portion sizes and the sauce. The food itself was very bland and had no flavor. I ordered the sassy Mac bowl, and it had maybe 10 noodles in it. I also ordered the cheesy wrap and it just had absolutely no flavor. Even with all the sauce it still didn't make it flavored enough to eat. It seems they pride themselves on having chicken that's not frozen, which is great, but there's just absolutely no flavor. I'm normally able to fix up stuff that I order that doesn't have enough flavor, but so much food was wasted because there was just no fixing it. Don't be fooled by the pictures! Absolutely disappointed with what Sassy Bird has become. This used to be my go-to spot for indulgent, gluttonous comfort food--the chicken-and-fries box with slaw on top was unbeatable. But over time, the quality has taken a nosedive, and the prices have skyrocketed. They've increased the price of their boxes by nearly $10, which is outrageous. At the same time, the portion sizes have shrunk, the chicken is noticeably drier and less spicy, and they've started piling on the carbs while cutting back on the actual chicken. It feels like I'm paying 50% more for a box that's 50% worse--less meat, more filler, smaller serving. That's not just disappointing, it feels like a total cash grab. Sassy Bird AV is the beez knees! Hands down thee greatest chicken spot you'll ever try. Since opening, this place has been non-stop busy with a line out the door and its all worth the wait. Located in the center of Lancaster blvd, this independent business is serving up the BIGGEST chicken sandos I've ever eaten. I mean super thick, juicy, tender chicken cooked up to your desired heat level(sassy AF being extremely spicy), and if one fried chicken breast isn't enough, they have an optional double chicken sandwich!! Coleslaw, pickles and their sauce are all bomb. Combos are served with fries or tots that are just as tasty. Sassy Bird is the word. I love this place. Blows Popeyes, chickfila, or any other chicken spot you thought you loved completely out of the water. read more

This was place is the best! What you see is what you get. Before they started doing contactless deliveries, we would go in and order our food. The staff is amazing and very hardworking. Today, we ordered through the website and they delivered my food earlier than expected! That's pretty impressive given the fact that I live all the way in the east side of Palmdale. The guy who delivered our food was so sweet and the food was delicious! I wish nothing but the best for the staff! Let me start off by saying the competition is over. There's so many places nowadays popping up fast food, restaurants, that think that they have the absolute best chicken sandwich. Sassy bird was introduced to me a few weeks ago and I've gone back three times for their Sando. Different flavor and heat profiles and I've never been disappointed. You don't get a measly processed chicken breasts you get the whole thing. Thick crispy spicy smothered in a sweet coleslaw. Topped it off with the hand cut thick pickles on a nice toasted bun. One of my favorite spots to eat at in the AV. Their chicken sandwiches are different, but very good. If you want some spice and flavor on your sandwich get mild or hot, but if you want a plain chicken flavor, get regular. For those who are feeling brave try the Sassy sandwich, but fair warning it packs some heat. I'd definitely give Sassy bird 5 stars because the never fail to amaze, and have always given me great customer service. I always order over the phone, so by the time I get there my food is ready. I can't say enough good things about Sassy Bird! The food is absolutely delicious . The chicken is perfectly crispy and full of flavor, and every side I've tried has been spot on. Its a small new spot on Lancaster BLVD which is known for chicken sandwiches. The price may be a bit steep but once you get your meal you can see why they charge $13 for a combo. My only complaint is a drink not coming with the combo, its an added $2. The sandwich was great it was a huge sandwich that itself filled me up without the fries. The chicken was nice and crispy and you can tell it was real 100% chicken. Also love that the spot is sometimes open till 1am so it makes for a great midnight snack. read more

I am in love with this place. I eat them about once a week. They really never disappoint when it comes to the food. They are doing contactless delivery and I couldn't be more pleased. Last weekend the wait was supposed to be about 2 hours. Only waited one and I'm sure they were slammed! I appreciate you guys, this is the best place to eat! They may not have an attention grabbing sign to reel you in (yet), but the smell of their food will grab your attention while the taste will reel you in. i've been waiting so long for this place to open!! i got to try it on the soft opening so they didn't have any tables or much yet but that's okay because the food was amazing! only thing i would say is that the chicken sandwhich was a little dry. they need to add way more sauce because the chicken is so big but other than that it was amazing and i will always be coming back! can't wait to see what they do moving forward! it's only gonna get better from here!! read more

There are a few items you can get at sassy bird, but I recommend getting their sando. The place was built off their sando, so it is their most practiced and most engineered recipe for tasty goodness. I also like that they care about their employees. They take them to Vegas as thank you's, and I think I saw them offering college tuition support? Spicy chicken is what you need to know here. There are three types of chicken dishes: Sando, Tenders or Loaded. Also, different levels of spicy but you only need to get the hottest, Sassy. It's a classic diner burger except with the addition of avocado. It's a bit satay but overall a good burger. $11 is getting up there in price but unfortunately that's the new normal in this economy. I have nothing to complain about the food or service.

When I got to the house , not only was I missing a set of fries for a combo but my order was wrong. And on top of that , no ranch or peppers. Food was okay but nothing special. I probably would try a new place next time.

Nevertheless, I did manage to talk Mr. Picky into heading out east a significant distance to try the place because I had a backup plan in case they were closed. Our waitress was Tiffany and I cannot say enough good things about her. She had a great smile, had good energy, and bent over backwards in order to meet our requests and ensure that we enjoyed eating at the restaurant. We started with the soup du jour which was Chicken Enchilada. Wow moment. Yummy and one of the best soups I've eaten in a long time. Spicy, not too spicy, filled with corn and beans and cheese sprinkled on top. So, so good! Gold star to the genius chef behind that recipe. We unfortunately arrived on a day when they had a shortened, reduced menu. We had driven a significant distance to try the Firecracker Chicken which was not on the abbreviated menu. However - Tiffany to the rescue - our waitress asked the kitchen staff if they would prepare it for us, and they agreed to do so. Wonderful cooperation in the back and on the floor. Mr. Picky liked the chicken, we both thought the mashed potatoes were pretty good, I tried the squash side vegetable and enjoyed it very much because it was seasoned well, we liked the cornbread with honey butter, but our tummies ran out of room and we had to take the baked beans home with us. (Hint for a fabulous breakfast, somewhat English style, is to get buttered toast topped by fried eggs and then loaded up with piping hot baked beans spooned all over it. There is a good use for these leftovers :-) !) Soft folk music was playing in the background, or actually I think those were hymns played folksy style, very cute. We finished by sharing a large scoop of their homemade salted caramel ice cream, and liked it. The place seemed very clean, comfortable seating, not fancy, but a perfect fit for the menu. I had no idea there was a religious college out east, this one is Baptist, nor that they had a restaurant where the students can work, but it's a great idea and a good way to integrate the community with the school. Overall, we both said we would go back to try other things.
