Honestly, it's at every location, but this latest time is the most recent and egregious. I am allergic to cucumber, so I always order saying, "no pickles anywhere." Tried Dave's Hot Chicken and ordered the slider & chicken tender combo with mild seasoning and fries. The slider was actually pretty decent--juicy and flavorful--but the tender felt a bit overpowered, almost bathed in what tasted like paprika and chili powder, which threw things off for me. The fries were okay, but not as crispy as I was hoping for. Dave's is back in my good graces. (I'm sure they are SO happy!) The issues they had on my last few visits have been resolved and they added the cauliflower to the menu. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 was the long wait time. They need more employees. So I got the cauliflower sliders and I have to say that I personally prefer it more than the chicken. Dave's chicken is super fresh and the fries are BOMB! Probably some the best French fries ever, nice and crisp on the outside and super fluffy on the inside. Drools. We tried the medium spice and it was just right! If you are unfamiliar, if you ever had KFC's Nashville Hot Tenders the taste/style is similar only Dave's is fresh and 100x better. I can imagine the plain strips would be just as delicious. It comes with some bread to sop up any extra sauce. I thought I wouldn't care for it but the bread was good too lol. Took a friend to lunch here at his suggestion. I won't return. The chicken they sell is chicken tenders coated in a mixture of buffalo wings-type spices and deep fried. My friend had his "slider" style, meaning one 3 ounce piece on a bun. I had two pieces. Both came with a small 1000 island-type dipping sauce and about 12-15 crinkle cut fries. It's counter service, and you pay for and then pick up your items when they call your number. When I paid ($30!), the counter device asks how much you want to tip! What for? Ordering and picking it up myself? No dishes because they use returnable baskets. The counter help were friendly, but that's about it. The ambience is nil: a high-ceiling cement box with plastic tables and chairs. The place appears to be a chain bent on maximizes profits and minimizing costs. UGH read more

I wanted a chicken sandwich and I'm really tired of the shit at my local Popeyes they are slow and well I wanted to see if another place was as good as theirs without all the B.S. if you know then you know. I got the #2 two sliders and fries no pickles I hate pickles on everything and I was surprised to see slaw on it which I prefer I love slaw on chicken sandwiches I could have had a lil more slaw but I wasn't mad at all very taste and the chicken was really good I was very surprised once again I never knew Dave's hot chicken was good and the server who helped me was so nice and kind she knew the menu and told me her fav flavors and everything it was very nice to talk to someone who was so enthusiastic about the food, the restaurant Just opened so there was only a couple of people in the restaurant. I can't remember if I did a review for them before, would most definitely come back to today's oh yeah the sauce is pretty good too and they have some pretty good crinkle cut fries. It was my first time visiting here tonight. The entire staff was compromised of teenagers, but they were sweet enough to make up for mistakes on to-go/sit in orders, and they never lost their cool. I ordered the number #2 combo, which comes with two sliders with fries, and you can order several different types of heat flavors from absolutely no spice at all to the reaper. You can have each tender or slider a different flavor, or both of the same flavor. They also have a multitude of sides, including macaroni and cheese, kale slaw and cheese fries, which I would recommend. Even though we ordered up at the counter in person, we received the wrong order. One of the staff members was nice enough to correct this and we even got a free milkshake to make up for their mistake. The kale slaw was pretty to look at, but bland to eat. The fries are Kringle-cut, so they do have good flavor and texture, but with nacho cheese on top, it really makes a difference. The chicken itself is very nicely fried. It's not dry and there's a juiciness to it. I think the sandwich would be better on a ciabatta bun rather than a Hawaiian sweet roll. I just felt as if the accessories on the chicken sandwich brought down the flavors instead of enhancing them. Not bad, but very limited menu, maybe it's because they're good at what they do. I tried their 2 chicken sandwiches with cheese at their Very Hot spice Level, just one step down from their hottest spice. It's a dry rub spice that hits you in the back of the throat, but doesn't burn the lips. Personally I prefer a Buffalo sauce wet spice. I love spicy foods and the first one had a decent heat to it, got the nose running a bit but was tolerable and delicious. However, the second one was a bit spicier than the first, left me sweating and quickly ordering a milkshake to stop the heartburn before it started. They were able to make a chocolate strawberry mixed milkshake, which was on par with In&Out milkshakes, made with real ice cream and very tasty. The fries also had a Cajun spice and went well with their special sauce. I added honey to the dry rub chicken at my buddy's suggestion, which gave it much needed moisture and a sweet flavor to counterbalance the spicy. Overall it was pretty good but I would've liked a ranch or blue cheese side, neither was available. As for the service, they were quick, attentive and friendly. The place is huge, so I imagine it gets busy, but it was pretty dead when we were there. I liked everything about this place and would probably come back if in the area again.
