First time for my husband and I trying out the A1 Kabob and we loved it. we received a warm welcoming . The food was excellent, everything was very tasty and worth the wait which was not long at all. We tried the #20 and # 8 which was the beef and chicken kabobs which came with a small salad hummus, pita bread and rice. Everything was so tasty and delicious. We also ordered the Baklava for dessert and it was the best we have ever had. so light and perfectly balanced. This is a must try and go again and again. Unfortunately, our food was automatically packaged to go without being asked whether we planned to eat inside. It would have been appreciated if staff had confirmed our preference before bagging the order, especially since seating appeared to be available. Overall, the food was very good and we enjoyed our meal- we were just hoping for the opportunity to dine in. Sad to say that while I was relaxing eating my chicken & steak kabob plate that included there signature yellow rice , salad and pita bread I noticed (thank God) a thick black strand of hair in my pita bread! This place is horrible! Food tastes old and stale and don't even get me started on the customer service. The lady at the register was a total B. The way she gives you dirty looks. She looks miserable. It's definitely not the same people that use to be there. The garlic paste was waaaaaay too salty! The humus was the worst hummus I've had. The tzatziki was way too thick and tasted old. It was like a paste. Makes me sick just thinking about it. Over $100 dollars for a family of 5. Please save your time and money and go somewhere else! Been going to this place for years now but am just now posting a review. I love this little hole in the wall place, best Mediterranean food in town imo, others are good, but this is the best. The food is always fresh and cooked to perfection, every dish is so flavorful. I always get the vegetarian combo with a small side of rice. The only thing I'd say about the dining experience is that sometimes it takes a while but you can also see them preparing the food fresh in the kitchen so I don't mind. This place always scratches my itch for Mediterranean. If you don't love it I don't know what to tell you. I could also eat their dolma in bulk. read more

I really dislike writing low or bad reviews but I feel like everyone should know before coming to dine at A1 Kabob. I ordered the #23 beef shawarma and let me tell you, it was very mediocre. Edible, but mediocre. The beef tasted like some sort of hamburger helper style meat... just wasn't your typical shawarma beef that's sliced. Tasted very weird and rubbery. The lettuce was kind of wilted or in the stage of about to be spoiled. Sauce was strange too. I also ordered the baba ganoush and was expecting it to be warm and served with warm bread. NOPE. ICE COLD. I literally mean ice cold. It hurt my teeth while eating it and the pita bread was cold and not even toasted. I've never had ice cold baba ganoush or any kind of side dish straight from the fridge. Yeah hummus is okay but it shouldn't be ICE cold.. Service was good, the woman behind the counter was kind and helpful. Interior was clean and organized, nice music playing. But uh... maybe I was unlucky? She noticed that I was watching and went in an area where I couldn't see her. She heard me telling someone on the phone how dirty this place is. You'll get 3 kabobs of different meat, scrumptious rice. Tzatziki and a roasted jalapeño along with pita, The food has always been fresh and hot and super delicious! It's very casual and best for to go orders, although we have eaten here, I would say it's kind of a cafe style place but the service is always friendly and since the food is made fresh, it takes a minute to get your order, but definitely worth it.
