Chefs busy with non stop orders
Ut N.

Every time I go to pick up my brother from work, I'm always excited to receive a complimentary teriyaki chicken skewer from one of the friendly employees at the food court. The teriyaki seasoning on the chicken is always on point, giving it the perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors. After enjoying this treat for two weeks straight, I decided to try their teriyaki chicken with vegetable noodles instead of rice. The portion size of the chicken in the entrée was more than generous - it could easily be split into two meals and still have enough left over to pair with some rice or veggies. However, I did feel that they could have added a little more chicken to make the dish even more satisfying. Unfortunately, I wasn't too impressed with the noodle component of the dish. As a self-declared noodle enthusiast, I found the noodles to be a bit too stiff and not as fresh as I would have liked. In terms of price, the $12 meal deal that comes with an entrée and a soft drink is quite reasonable, especially given the generous portion size of the chicken. Additionally, I appreciated the ample seating available in the food court, including the lovely waterfront seating area overlooking the pond. The open-air atmosphere is very welcoming, and I'm glad that most of the food court restaurants were open during my visit, with only one out of the eleven options being closed.

This location has freshly made chicken cooked in front of the customer. It's really good. I ordered a meal with extra chicken, 2 egg rolls and a drink for my partner and I to share. It came up to be a little less than $20. It was very tasty. Service was quick but there was a line. I liked the signage advising to stay there for your food as other locations sometimes whose food is whose can get confusing. Really great egg rolls. I would like the seating in the mall to be more inclusive as the chairs are tiny and the chairs are the only options. No benches in the food court. It took me a while to find the right location for my review on Yelp as it appears the sign or name changed. The staff seemed nice and knowledgeable.

If I had to choose my last meal in Florida, this will definitely be the place! For a very small stand in the humble mall of Oviedo -- this is the place that draws everyone when they enter! The fresh smell of teriyaki sauce will literally have your stomach rumble because of how good is smells. It's simple, yet so satisfying. Most popular dish is their chicken teriyaki plate, which is served over white rice and steam vegetables. The plate itself can feed you for two meals, or can share with another person! It's less than $8 a plate too, super affordable! The staff here is so friendly and they know how to keep the line moving. Every order is made to order, and they cook it right in front of you. I crave this place all the time! Don't be fooled by eating at this food court. Definitely give this place a go! ** THEY ALSO GIVE OUT SAMPLES, JUST ASK! The complaint I've been reading from the comments is that they "rush" you. If you've ever been to Asia, this is completely normal. It's not common courtesy to ask how your day is (at least from all the Asian countries I've been too, as a Filipino). They are not there to become your friend, they're there to make money fast and feed you a good meal!

Located in the Oviedo mall food court. Fast service. Ok my son loves the sarku chicken here. I got a taro bubble tea that was delicious. Plus it had a koala on the bubble tea cup. So cute!

I wish I didn't like this place so much. They are lacking customer service. I just wanted the yum yum sauce on the side and they refused. I also wanted the shrimp separated from the chicken and they refused.

Located in the Oviedo Mall food court. They have a few different options on the menu play I believe this is their signature dish. The service was friendly and very fast. The food came out hot, fast and fresh. The sauce they pour on this chicken is really good stuff and the free sample completely sold me. My portion appeared pretty big and then I felt pretty big in my stomach. It's a typical Mall food court restaurant that has that one dish that you can't recreate it any other restaurant. It was good and I might come back one day.

Sarku Japan restaurant in the food court of Oviedo Marketplace.

This Sarku location can be found in the Oviedo Marketplace food court. It has been in business there for many years and the staff members easily recognize repeat customers. Any day or time of the week, this restaurant hands out samples of their Sarku chicken which adds an addictive pop of flavor. The combo appears to be a popular menu choice which comes with Sarku chicken (a sweet teriyaki flavor), a vegetable blend, and a choice of steamed rice or fried rice. The staff are true entrepreneurs and can at times be viewed as extra eager in soliciting customers within the food court and zipping customers through the register as quickly as possible but there's nothing wrong with having minimal wait, right! Although this particular food court is modest in size with significant restaurant turnover, Sarku has that staying power and provides a meal you'd like to repeat. Check it out!

We ordered the toragashi and garlic edamame, ceviche roll, royal treatment roll, and a set of 10 nigiri. The quality of their fish was top notch. All to finish the night with dessert! Fortunately, they still have their dinner menu you can order from. The hot items were not available though. Our server was prompt and friendly. The rolls were all delicious with the "kissed by fire" roll being our favorite and "Top Up" coming in second. Although they don't have your typical maki rolls on the menu, they are able to accomodate and make them as well. We ordered the classic salmon avocado roll because you can't go wrong with simple, good sushi. The quality of their sushi is superb. This is a great sushi spot with the decor being fun and modern

Everyone received their starters, the blonde waitress asked if I wanted one as well. When I said yes, she responded with "bro, it's not going to be free," which made the interaction very awkward for everyone at the table since I never even asked for the starter in the first place and was just very unprofessional. Later, one of my friends received shrimp tempura that was translucent, raw, and slimy in the middle. When we politely mentioned it, both the waitress and host repeatedly questioned whether we were sure it was raw. At one point the waitress even asked something along the lines of "so do you want this for free or something?" which felt accusatory and uncomfortable. We're familiar with tempura/sushi dishes in general and understand that something can be fried on the outside but still undercooked inside. The repeated doubt came across as dismissive and a bit condescending. She also said she would "pray" for one of my friends which was a very strange and off-putting comment in that situation. It just felt like she was doubting us and in general it made us feel bad for even bringing it up in the first place. The item did end up being comped, which we appreciated, but that didn't change the interaction we had or the comments that were made. We weren't there trying to get free items, so the assumptions and tone from our server made the whole situation feel uncomfortable and strange. Overall, we did enjoy the food, but the service made the dinner uncomfortable and left us feeling judged rather than welcomed. Since I've had good experiences here in the past, I hope this feedback is taken constructively so future guests have a better experience.

The restaurant is on the smaller side (about 6-7 tables) with additional bar seating, which adds to the cozy, authentic feel. The Vibe: Small, intimate, and focused--this is the kind of place where you know the food is the star. One small note: I didn't see any beer options--just soft drinks and teas. Not a dealbreaker, but I do usually enjoy a beer with ramen, so it was a bit of a miss for me. What We Ordered: * Cucumber Salad * Chicken Karaage * Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen * Spicy Miso Ramen Standout Bites: The cucumber salad was incredibly fresh with the perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and salty. The chicken karaage was exactly what you want--crispy on the outside, moist and tender on the inside. Perfect crunch, perfect bite. Then came the ramen... Both the spicy tonkotsu and spicy miso broths were rich, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. The noodles had that ideal chewy texture, and the pork was thinly sliced, tender, and full of flavor. Rich broth, chewy noodles, melt-in-your-mouth pork. Overall: This is hands down the best ramen I've had since visiting Japan, which says a lot. We left already planning our next visit. Pro tip: Arrive early for lunch--seating is limited and fills up quickly.

My favorites are the shoyu ramen, the kids ramen (honestly the perfect portion), and the tuna mayo onigiri. My go-to order is usually the kids ramen with a tuna mayo onigiri, and it's always so satisfying. The pork chashu is super soft and tender, the broth has so much flavor, and the noodles are always cooked just right. And definitely don't skip the egg--it's so good. The ambiance is really peaceful, and the space itself is cute and cozy. The staff is always very friendly and eager to please, which makes the whole experience even better. It is one of my go to spots, I seriously cannot recommend enough.

Only like 3 diners were there when we arrived (it was mid afternoon), so lots of open seating. We were able to sit at the bar. Greeted right way. Will say they have a very extensive menu. Decent selection of sushi & other types of dishes. Our server was pleasant. We started with their daily deal which was Crispy Tuna and edamame as well. Came out pretty quickly after we ordered. The Crispy Tuna was served not as we expected. It was more rice cakes (pancake style shape if you will) not what we are accustomed to which generally is a Square Musubi Press. They were good, but would have preferred them the way we generally order it. Edamame was tasty, but hard to mess that up. Rolls: they are pretty small to be honest and squeezed so tightly (with not enough of outer rice) they sat up high and didn't take on the plump desirable shape. When a sushi roll (maki) is rolled and pressed incorrectly with a bamboo mat, the cylindrical shape gets squished and inevitably turns into a aesthetic effect that looks off, which in my opinion shows here. Plus, very thinly sliced rolls. 4 rolls we ordered: Naruto Roll, it was refreshing & liked the cucumber in place of the seaweed wrap. Beauty & Beast Roll, came together well with the black tobiko & masago. Waterfall Roll was good, but would have liked some more heat (heaver on the jalapeños) and finally the Black Pearl Roll which was decent with the black tobiko on top! Throughout of dining experience the sushi chefs were preparing other dishes on the menu to fill orders, but also pleasant & engaging as we watched them make our orders and those others too. Leo and Micah were friendly, not so much the only female employee. She gave off some negative vibes. Never said a word to us & acted like we were not even there! Believe her role may have been in the kitchen, but she was out on the floor (for most of our time there) talking to Leo primarily. Kitchen cleanliness is key and by looking thru the open space (to the backs of sushi chefs) she really needed to focus more of her attention there instead of projecting conversations out front to the busy staff. Meaning that sanitation and environmental hygiene is a mandatory practice that needs constant attention & customers may observe or question those things when not tending to the task. I'm addressing this in the most important and nicest way possible! Everything we ordered was fresh and tasty. Not the best sushi restaurant we've been to, but definitely sufficed for our craving. Ended our meal with their fried ice cream which was delicious. Note- Do not believe they have any happy hour specials. No Kizami Wasabi available here. They feature a few lower costs options for lunch. Additionally, they have hibachi, teriyaki and ramen also!
