Stopped in for dinner with Nancy around 6:45pm before our night out on the town. It's was pretty much everything I expected; small family run restaurant, great food, but not over the top fancy. The restaurant wasn't too busy, two small groups other than us. We were promptly greeted and seated at a booth. Our server was most likely one of the owners as she was seated right behind us with her son. I assume the man who seated us was the dad because he kept tabs on the son when Mom was taking care of customers. The chef might have also been a family member as well; regardless, they took great care of us during our visit, but it is something to note. There are a lot of menu options, so I recommend checking it out before arriving otherwise you may need some time to make a decision. Once we placed our order our food was out in less than 10 minutes which was pretty amazing. We started with the seaweed salad ($7), which we thought was a little small for the price; however, it was good, but know that they add thinly sliced cucumber into the salad as a filler. For our main course I chose the crazy roll ($11.45), Nancy chose the Rock N Roll ($9.45), and we also purchased the chicken fried rice to share ($12.45). The chef does a great job with the presentation and the food was delicious. For the most part The restaurant dining area is well organized and clean. When I got up to use the restroom I noticed a heavy sewer odor coming from the area. The men's room looked nice at first but as I looked closer I noticed the tile floor is missing grout and the restroom just needs better housekeeping. My wife said the ladies room was a disaster and there was foam spray around the base of the toilet and it was turning black, yuck! Well that's probably where to smell was coming from. About an hour after dinner I became very gassy which is unusual for me than I had an upset stomach the rest of the evening. Unfortunately this issue progressed further through Sunday and I've been house ridden the remainder of the weekend. I'm thinking something was up with my roll because Nancy didn't have any issues with hers. I hate to blame the restaurant for this issue but with being down to one meal a day I can pretty much weed out my lunch on Friday as the culprit. If I did come back I would probably stick to the hot food just to play it safe, but with so many other options in the area Its hard to say I will be back anytime soon. read more

Came here on a Saturday evening with Scott. When I walked in I noticed right away a weird sour smell. Gave me a weird vibe and I said to Scott does it stink in here? We were seated by I think the owners. Her young son was behind us playing video games on his pad. A sound was a little annoying but...for the most part it didn't bother me I love kids. Lots of items on the menu. I knew right away I wanted the seaweed salad and a roll. I got the rock and roll roll which was awesome. The seaweed salad was good but there wasn't enough of it for me. Underneath the seaweed salad was a bed of sliced cucumber which was good but I'd rather have more seaweed salad!! Scott got a roll with shrimp and salmon. And we got the chicken fried rice which was awesome. All the food was good going down... but then later on that evening Scott began to feel sick. Something that he ate at this restaurant that had bacteria in it. . I mean We are eating raw fish.. As we went back to the bathrooms to wash our hands we smelled the overwhelming odor of sewage they had some old signs that set out of order on the wall so I'm guessing they had a problem. I've ordered from here lots of times and eaten in the restaurant as well. The staff here are so nice. The inside of the restaurant is very cute, I love the decor. They play good music here too! Me and my boyfriend got the lunch special here. They have good prices! We got the Salmon Roll, Alaska Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll, Spicy Salmon Roll, & a Tuna Roll. The sushi here is really good! Tastes fresh and well executed. I really liked their Spicy Salmon Roll and the regular Salmon roll. Salad was standard and the Miso soup was pretty good. We ended our meal with a Tempura Cheesecake, wow this thing was huge! Biggest tempura cheesecake I've ever been served at a Japanese restaurant. It was delicious too! They fried it so we'll, very crispy. They used good cheesecake and it held up after being fried, it wasn't all melted. I love coming here for the sushi! The hibachi here is pretty good as well. It isn't often that I'm thinking about a meal the next day, so that says something. I totally enjoyed dinner last night at this amazing sushi bar. I ordered the small sushi plate that was more than enough for me. It came with a California roll and six piece selection of the chef's choice. The California Roll was so creamy and delicious. Not sure how he mastered it but AMAZING! The Salmon, Tuna, Ebi, and other pieces were super fresh and wonderful. The meal started off with a bowl of Miso soup that had incredible depth of flavor and a side salad that was just as delicious too. The beer was very well priced and topped it off with a beautifully sweet warm Sake. All and all such an amazing meal and I cannot wait to go back and try the baby tako, aka Octopus. When we arrived the restaurant was not busy and we were sat immediately. Everything was clean including the restroom. Our server was kind and answered all questions with no issues. Unfortunately they were out of the beer I wanted to try but they had a few others to choose from. The clear soup was tasty and the salad was standard. The scallop hibachi was good, but the scallops were not the star. They were slightly overcooked and rubbery but everything else was full of flavor so I overlooked it. Overall pretty tasty and would definitely try them again but get something else. read more

I placed an order for pickup which was a quick and easy process! (I did this through Yelp). Upon arrival, I walked right in and they had my food waiting for me- ready to rock and roll. I ordered a spicy scallop nigiri which was absolutely delicious. I've never had raw scallop before and it was bomb. So soft and sweet, with a touch of spiciness. I wish I order more!! I ordered the Sake House Specialty roll. This was salmon, tuna and yellowtail. Boy oh boy melted in my mouth. The rolls had rice but were also wrapped in soy paper. Quite a nice touch! Absolutely the worst service I have had in quite awhile. I wish I could give "no" stars. The server should not have been a server, because she had the personality of the front door. She didn't write the order down, so she missed some items. I ordered hibachi filet- which had so much fat- I don't think it was a filet. I asked for no teriyaki on the steak, only soy sauce- so guess what- it had teriyaki sauce. The whole plate had so much grease or juice- just terrible. Oh, and the server didn't bring rice to one in my party- yeh server took it off of another persons plate and gave it to her!!! Wtf??? The server never asked how our meal was. My fiancee and I went there today for lunch dine in. Start to finish, everything was delicious! We ordered the 3 sushi roll lunch special and a steak/shrimp hibachi combo platter. The steak melts in your mouth. The noodles were cooked perfectly. The miso soup and ginger salads...yum. To top it off, they have hand-made sake from Japan and you can buy it by the bottle! There's 3 things I always pay attention to when it comes to any restaurant. Those include: Food Freshness, Cleanliness and Customer Service. I wasn't even able to enjoy my food before I decided to leave. Because we're living through a pandemic, cleanliness should be at the forefront of EVERY business and restaurant establishment. The Sake House failed. Big time. Upon walking in, there were several tables dirty. The sushi chef was handling raw sushi with the same gloves he received an Amazon package with!!! Cmon people. I GOT A FLY IN MY SALAD. I told the waiter about it and he did not let me feel he took it serious enough. He forgot to bring us utensils and sauce dishes after he served the food. My daughter and I just had a delicious lunch here. I confess I was a little leery of a restaurant in a strip mall across from Walmart. However today, we decided to give it a try. First time here. I would have rated higher IF service wasn't so bare minimal. Few service errors that I would like to point out. There were 8 of us (4 of those were small children) and the place isn't very big but decently decorated. Place could probably seat 45 at most. We walked in and there was a table that can seat six (2 tables pushed together) and another table beside it that can seat 4. None of the staffs asked if we wanted to push the tables together so we figured we'll just do it ourselves. Turns out, the 2 tables that seats 4 that are separated by space in center are nailed to the floor. We decided it's fine, we'll just sit on separate tables, turns out that didn't work out when our sushi came in a boat and can only fit on the table that seats 6, so at that point we HAD to ask our waitress if it's ok to move the end table that seated 2 to the empty space that separated us so we can be put the sushi boat on it. All this could have been avoided IF it was done before we were seated. Through out our dining, our waitress did came by to ask if the food was ok but aside from that we keep having to wave her down to ask for refills of soda and hot tea. I thanked our waitress multiple times and I don't believe I've heard 'you're welcome' once. This place has coupons on their menus that they place near the register. Another person in my party handed me a takeout menu right after our waitress has taken our credit cards to ring up. I right away went up to the waitress and asked if we can use the '20% off of $100 or more' coupon (our bill was $200). The waitress said it's too late, she already swiped one of the card. So I said 'it can't be canceled?' She said 'no, just remember to bring that coupon the next time you come.' I don't know how their system works, but I don't believe this day and age a card transaction can't be cancel. However, they did give us couple fried crab with cheese as complimentary appetizer. The hibachi was good, not overly salty or just pile of soy sauce. The sashimi/sushi were fresh and tasted ok. The prices here isn't all that much less than other Japanese restaurants so it would be nice to have received better services than the ones we had. read more

Their service has gone down a lot. The last few times I ordered I waited 30+ minutes or so for a small order of two rolls, I had to ask constantly and someone finally realized it had already been made. The volcano roll wasn't even baked when I got it. They closed early one day without changing their website or closing the online ordering system. We ordered and when we arrived the sign said "open" but nobody was inside. They still ended up charging us and I had to get a refund days later in-person. I normally don't write negative reviews but they had such good products and I recommended them a lot, but over the last few months my experiences weren't great. The soup tasted like bland hot water, the salad was just shredded lettuce with ginger dressing, and the lobster tail and shrimp was extremely bland and boring.
