I absolutely love this place! From the moment you walk in until the moment you leave, it feels like a warm embrace. The food is delicious, the service is wonderful, and the ambiance is welcoming and relaxing. Even the background music is soothing and played at the perfect volume, allowing you to enjoy a comfortable conversation. And the sushi rolls--absolutely amazing! A truly special dining experience that keeps me coming back. It's the perfect place for every occasion--a date night, a family meal, an evening with friends, or even a relaxing solo dinner.
Beautiful location! We sat in the back and it has a lake view. Service was great and the quality of the fish was also good for the price. Tuna is my favorite and their negitoro handroll was good :) I would definitely come again!
Delicious sushi! Nice views, great customer service. We love the crispy tuna rice, the Toyota roll and they have tons of other great options at reasonable prices!
The spot seemed really cute on paper, and if it wasn't so packed I'm sure it would be. It was super loud, and most of the layout is just open with no noise dampening. It took them a while to greet us, but they greeted the table that was sat after us first. The nail in the coffin for me, however, was their AI menus. The sushi was just okay, the salmon for my nigiri was nice and tender, but I won't be returning because of their use of AI. Super disappointed.
First time trying this spot and it was a 10/10 experience! They have a nice happy hour, staff were beyond pleasant and the overall ambiance is amazing. It was well lit, air conditioned and maintained. I was very comfortable eating there and feel the quality of fish used for the sushi I ordered was great. Definitely recommend people visit if they're in the area.
I haven't been here in years, but it was just as good as I remembered. I was a little worried since the name had changed since then, but the menu was overall the same. We got the spicy lobster roll, Totoya Roll, and some edamame. It was all amazing. The quality of the fish and sushi rice impressed me, and prices were fair. They also had a decent wine and sake list.

We came in for lunch and had a great experience. This is one of my favorite spots and they have a fantastic lunch menu. This time, I got the chirashi. It was fantastic! Beautiful presentation, plenty of fresh proteins, and so much rice! I loved every part. Service was fantastic and we had a good time. You can't beat fresh sushi and a lake view!
Totoya Sushi is a solid choice if you're in the downtown Orlando area and craving sushi, especially during happy hour. We stopped by and found it to be a nice little spot with good value and a welcoming vibe. The truffle fries arrived looking impressive with a crispy exterior, but fell short on flavor. They tasted more like premium fries than truffle fries, which was a letdown given what we were expecting. That said, they're still a solid appetizer if you're hungry. The real draw here is the happy hour. Three sushi rolls for around $18 is a pretty solid deal, and we appreciated that the happy hour menu keeps things simple with rolls featuring just one or two ingredients. Nothing fancy, but executed well. The sushi itself was good, fresh, and satisfying without being exceptional. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service was not noticeable (which sometimes is a very good thing), making it an easy place to grab dinner with friends. Would I make a special trip? Probably not. But if a friend wanted to meet up nearby or I was already in the area, I'd definitely return.
Came here for a hot lunch on a cold day and it did not disappoint. Our service was very attentive and the restaurant has gorgeous lake views. The lunch combinations are a good value and the waiter was knowledgeable of the menu.
Was visiting the area and decided to stop here for dinner. We came like within the last hour of them being open and they were so kind to us as they were preparing to close. I ordered the miso soup and then two rolls, the sea world roll and the crazy roll. Everything I had was delicious. All the food was fresh tasting and the crazy roll pieces were so big and filling. Really enjoyed my choices. The other girls in my group enjoyed their dinners as well. If you're in the area, I would recommend stopping here! Great food and great service. I believe our server's name was Zhenni and she was awesome.
We had another wonderful meal. This time Uber Eats delivery! John tried something different: the Totoyo roll. He liked it. I got my usual: Sea World roll, AAC roll and Edemame and as usual no gluten problem!
I was eager to try Toyota Sushi after reading all the glowing reviews, but I have to admit, I wasn't as impressed as I had hoped. I decided to treat my wife to a lovely day out with lunch and shopping, and Toyota Sushi was one of the top places on our list to visit while in the area. We arrived around 1:30 pm on Thursday, 1/2/25. Unfortunately, the timing wasn't ideal--there was a delivery happening at the same time, and the kitchen's main doors (normally kept closed) were wide open for the delivery driver. The view of the kitchen and the disorganization inside was off-putting, and it wasn't just due to the delivery; it left a lasting impression. The main entrance to the restaurant is located to the left of the delivery area, and you have to push aside a curtain with a symbol on it to enter. It felt a bit strange. Once inside, there's a small vestibule adorned with Polaroid photos on the walls, but it wasn't clear who they were of or why they were there. Were they employees or customers? The lack of context added to the overall confusion. As we made our way into the reception area, we noticed a wooden decorative piece hanging from the ceiling, which was covered in a layer of dust--definitely unappealing. We were greeted promptly and seated without delay, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. However, the longer we stayed, the more we noticed how dirty and dusty everything was. It started to make us wonder, if the dining area and restrooms were in such a condition, what might the kitchen look like? If you visit, take a moment to look UP--the umbrellas and metal framework supporting the lighting may look good from a distance, but up close, they're covered in years of dust. Sadly, this issue seemed to extend to almost everything in the dining area and restrooms, including the plastic flowers. Another noteworthy aspect was the volume of the music. The first table we were seated at had a beautiful view of Pearl Lake, which would've been great, but the music was so loud that we had to request a move to a quieter booth. On a positive note, our server, Royce, was attentive and friendly--thank you, Royce, for your excellent service! If you decide to dine here, I recommend requesting him as your server. As for the food, we had a good experience. I ordered the Chicken and Steak Hibachi with fried rice ($15.95), which came with a choice of soup or salad. I opted for the salad with ginger dressing, which was delicious. Nancy chose the "Any 3 Sushi Rolls" ($17.95), which included a California Roll, Crunch Spicy Tuna Roll, and Shrimp Tempura Roll, and she also selected a side salad. The salads arrived quickly and were fresh, with the ginger dressing being particularly tasty. Soon after, Royce brought out our meals. I have to say, the hibachi and sushi were both delicious. My steak was cooked perfectly to medium, and the chicken had great flavor. Nancy really enjoyed the shrimp tempura roll, though she wasn't as fond of the crunchy spicy tuna roll. I, on the other hand, thought the spicy tuna roll was quite good. Overall, while the food and service were good, the cleanliness issues were hard to overlook, and I'm not sure I would return. It's a shame, as the food had potential, but the restaurant's condition left much to be desired.
Comfort food comes in many forms - and for me, it's circular and filled with raw fish. Totoya Sushi is a little place, randomly on the side of the road, exactly in a spot where you wouldn't think to look. But it's there, overlooking the lake, waiting to offer you delicious sushi. The staff are always very nice, helpful, and patient as you look through the menu. With a huge selection of fish and veggie combinations, the menu has something for everyone. (I'm sorry I don't have a menu picture for reference!) The ingredients are always fresh and the rolls are made in house, to order. I have never had a bad roll - or a bad meal. While the seating can be cramped with a full house, the views make up for that easily. If you manage to get a seat in the back, you can look out over the lake (which absolutely has gators because I saw one on my last afternoon visit.) There are booths, tables, and a large sushi bar - again, something for everyone! I highly recommend checking this spot out if you are a sushi lover like me. (But also, don't, because I still want to be able to get a seat there when I go!) read more

Wow. The size and quality of these rolls were just spectacular. Everything tasted super fresh. My mom devoured her dragon roll and I was able to scrounge up a bite. The eel was cooked perfectly and with just the right amount of eel sauce. Similarly, the pac-man roll perfectly balanced the sweet and savory flavors and I loved the addition of the cream cheese to this roll. Lastly, the volcano roll had more perfectly cooked shrimp tempura (I normally don't eat the ends but it was fried the best way possible) and balanced flavors. I wound up eating my "leftovers" in the car. Go with a good appetite to enjoy everything!! For beverages, I had the Kizakura sake and absolutely loved it. Came here for lunch January 2nd 2025. My first impression walking in the door was it seemed a little dirty, As I inspected it more yep... it needs a good cleaning. Dust and cobwebs on lights and plastic plants. I am majorly allergic to dust. I don't know how long this place has been here but definitely needs an upgrade. All those plastic plants need to go or be washed. My second issue with this place is the music was very LOUD. They set us by the windows which is beautiful but we had to move to a booth. It was a little bit better but still felt like I was at a dance club while I was eating. Waiter was friendly and food came out fast. Okay onto the food... We got three sushi rolls with Salad and Scott got a platter with chicken and steak rice. The food was good. Nothing over the top everything tasted like it should and for the Lunch price it was reasonable. Although...I got a roll that I didn't like it . It was the Spicy tuna. Had a weird flavor. I really wanted seaweed salad but at $8 I think that's a little pricey compared to other sushi places that we have been to. So... For me unfortunately I probably won't come here again. read more

Holy moly! I was really pleasantly surprised with totoya. The atmosphere of the place is sleek and you get a BEAUTIFUL lakeside view. The sushi was outstanding and very fresh. The service was prompt and polite :) Definitely coming back here. read more

Back again for amazing sushi! I ordered my favorites again and they're always great! We added a volcano and miso soup to the usual BFF roll, foxy lady roll and nigiri regular. Service is quick and we never have an issue getting seats without a reservation if you go early enough. read more
I visited Totoya Sushi Saturday afternoon for an early birthday dinner. Totoya Sushi...... I ordered the shrimp hibachi. And I requested not to have egg in my rice and a young lady told me that the rice is already premade. Yeah, that threw me off for a bit, but she said she can see what she can do. My food came out as you can see the picture there is no egg, but there is corn in the fried rice. I have never seen corn in fried rice. Shrimp was I feel over cooked it was hard. My dynamite sushi was okay. Overall will I go back probably won't ! I felt rushed. Food was very mediocre. read more
The food was pretty good! The rolls all had toppings and the amount of toppings they gave were very generous. My favorite rolls out of the 3 I tried was probably the firecracker roll and the lava roll! The food wasn't overall salty. I personally would have preferred the spicy krab to be a little more spicy (I just really like occasional spicy food) The staff was very nice and they let us take our time to look over the menu before ordering. Even though the restaurant was a bit busy since it was dinner rush, they came by pretty timely the entire dinner, so we didn't have to wait too long for anything. The lake view was really pretty and the decorations were very nice. Just the right amount of decorations to feel cozy and everything, I think I would like to come back and try the lunch specials! The prices for it doesn't seem too bad. Parking or the restaurant is pretty easy, since it's on a shopping strip. So even if you have to park a bit farther, the walk isn't too bad. read more

My nephew went here the other night and posted pics on his IG. He said the rolls were delicious so I happen to be in the Altamonte springs area this early evening so I made a quick stop for dinner. There was a couple or two already enjoying the quiet atmosphere and I was quickly seated. The chairs were all wearing Santa colors and their Christmas tree was by the entrance. I was informed I made it in time for the Happy hour ($9) so I ordered the dynamite roll which comes fried with white fish, red onion and avocado. It has quite a bite to it. The other roll is went with was the lava roll which had tempura shrimp and all the mixing but topped with kani and scallops ($16). The rolls had a good size to them, filled deliciously and steaming hot. I enjoyed every bite, savoring the crispy tastes of the fried exteriors of each roll. That area's parking is pretty packed since it has the Crystal ballroom and Froggers all competing for parking spots. This place is freaking phenomenal. Oh hush, you already knew that. Small. Quaint. 10 diners and there's already a 30 minute wait on a Thursday night. You know you're badass. Confidence.....i love it! The spicy oyster roll! My goodness, I've never heard of anything like it! I would've eaten 3 of those things. The fried oyster was fried perfectly and still crispy In The roll! The garlic blue crab fried rice was a scrumptious fare. Not too garlicky, small, minced pieces or crab....not mad at that. Perfect portion sizes! Our waiter was super busy that night...checked on us a few times...I don't take it personally,...still courteous and knowledgeable of the menu. I'd go back. It's hard to find decent food I. Wow! I've had this place bookmarked for so long and I'm so happy I finally stopped by to check it out. We were greeted with a smile and asked if we wanted to sit by the window for a view of the lake. I really liked that we were given an option of where we wanted our dining experience to take place. Service was impeccable. Our server, Kevin, arrived with waters and then took our drink order. Nice touch! He was eager to answer any questions I had about menu items. He was friendly and checked on us frequently. Fantastic job! They have lunch specials on the weekdays from 11:30-2:45pm. They also have a happy hour menu that includes food and drinks. I ordered the gyoza for $6. It had nice flavors but they were masked by the fact that it was a tad charred on one side. It was still good though for sure. For sushi I chose the 3 roll combo for $17.95. It also came with a delicious ginger house salad. The rolls I chose were Spicy Fried Oyster, Philly Roll, and Eel and avocado roll. I really enjoyed all of the rolls. I appreciated that the rolls stayed together when you picked them up with the chopsticks. Presentation was lovely, too. This is a lot of food but a great value. We also ordered the Sea World roll. This was fantastic (especially if you're a fan of masago). The music was upbeat and fun so I was "that person" doing the happy dance while eating my sushi. Sushi boogie! Overall it was a great experience and I will definitely be heading back when I crave some sushi. If you happen to be in the area, stop by and show them some love. Picked this place out for valentines and it's pretty nice for a date night. Definitely resembles a Japanese restaurant with a lake view. We ordered their fish special of the day which was the ootoya premium sashimi, 2 piece of 7 different raw fish. It is thick slices and comes with a bowl of rice, for $56 it was pretty good. We also ordered fox lady and ootoya roll. Fox lady fits more of our liking, it had a hint of kimchi sauce which sounds odd at first. Ootoya roll was different especially with having 3 different fish in one bite but was too mushy for us. Our waiter was nice and quick with water, getting our order and our bill. Overall, it's a good spot for the price value. Also thank you for the rose on valentine's day, it was a cute surprise. read more

Love this place, if you are looking for a good sushi place this is it! As you walk in you feel a grat atmosphere with romantic soft music and beautiful decorations and a great view to the lake for a romantic dinner. Food and service are awasome and graet portions as well. Great variety of appetizers, sushi, drinks and desserts. I try tbe ninja sushi it was really good. read more

Our go-to sushi place! I have been here multiple times and I enjoy their food, ambiance, but service is a hit-or-miss. We waited 45 minutes for a table for two and a high chair which is understandable, it's a small restaurant and it was packed! As soon as we got sat we went ahead and ordered since it was already getting late. I specifically told our waitress that my husband couldn't have avocado on his roll. His roll came out with avocado and we had to return it, I kindly asked if we could switch it to a different roll to make sure they didn't just take off the avocado like it's been done before at other restaurants (husband is allergic) The new roll took soo long to come out, my son and I were already done eating and were ready to go by the time his roll came out. Our server never apologized nor any manager even though we were clearly waiting on the roll and looking around. Anyway, the food is good and not too expensive, with good happy hour deals during the week days and all day Mondays. I will be still be returning, just wish they would focus more on their customer service. read more

Love coming here! They have a great lunch special $14 for 2 rolls and soup! I love their spicy garlic edamame! Also have great Gyoza. I typically get the spicy tuna and shrimp tempura when I come. Miso soup is very good, one of the best I had. Service is always fast as well. Inside is always clean! read more
