I was blown away by this restuarant! Where do I even begin?? The sushi was delicious, especially the surf&turf roll! The waygu was seared and smoky and the sushi rice was soft and fluffy. Thai style gyoza was so so yummy and not something you see on many menus. I also ordered a sweet green tea and it came in a pitcher so plenty of refills. I will definitely be back soon!

AMAZING! Another Longwood hidden gem, discovered this one with my son. Rock shrimp was actual big pieces of shrimp and not just tons of tempura. Tuna roll and yellowtail rolls were perfect sizes and flavors. The pork gyozas had a prefect crisp to them and stuffed with pork. MA-SE just opened when we got there so the service was quick and the server very attentive, the sushi chefs were also diligent. It was a decorated nicely inside and had a great vibe. Found our new sushi spot!

I am happy I have this place a try for lunch. As I entered here I immediately love the nostalgic decor. It was pretty homey. The staff was friendly and came over to take our drinks orders. The menu has a lot of items that I would love to try. This visit though I focused on the lunch menu. I ordered the two suhi rolls that came with a salad. I also ordered rhe spring rolls. My two rolls of choice were the California roll and the baked salmon roll. Both were fresh and tasted delicious. I enjoyed the eel sauce and the spicy mayo on the roll. It was enough to for me to dip my second roll. The spring rolls were good with the dipping sauce. I can't wait to go back and give it a try.

The ambiance and decor of this little local sushi restaurant is so cool! All of the fish was super fresh and I liked the toppings the chef put on the nigiri to create good flavor combinations. The aburi salmon don was okay, but I would definitely recommend the nigiri! The service was nice and friendly.

Hidden gem!!! I just found out about this place a couple months back. Super small, about 8 tables or so plus a sushi bar top in the entire restaurant. You will find the owner there daily cooking and making sushi. Super cool! Some of the best edamame I have even had!! It was a spicy garlic. So yummy. Did the JB roll and the spicy tuna. Everything was very fresh. Miso soup was also very flavorful and rich. Lunch special was $15, you can't beat it!!

When I tell you that you NEED to visit this spot... I'm telling you that you NEEEED to visit. We've been here quite a few times and last night my husband had a little date night and absolutely loved what we got! I have never had their ramen here and opted for their pork tonkotsu ramen and omg it was perfection. I would get this over and over again and they do NOT skimp on their noodles. My husband got a rice bowl (Nachos Don) with tuna, Masago, tempura flakes...it was just SOOO tasty. It was hoppin' on a Friday night so definitely make reservations.

We just found a hidden gem for sushi! It's a very small spot, so service can take a little time when it's busy (we went on a Friday night), but making a reservation is a must -- we were seated right on time and it was perfect. The sushi is fresh and delicious, and the roasted garlic edamame... OMG, words can't even describe. We ended up ordering two extra servings! The sashimi is unbelievably fresh, buttery, and just melts in your mouth. The place is cute and quaint, but honestly, the food speaks for itself. Definitely adding this spot to our rotation -- can't wait to go back!

I came here a while back with my family. The place is welcoming yet small. The food was good, nothing to go running back for. I felt that our experience could've been better. Servers nowadays just take orders and get what you need, but they don't go out of their way to make sure customers get an amazing experience that makes them wanna come back.

I came here with three other people to try out this new-to-us restaurant. The space was smaller than expected with a few tables and a kitchen you can sort of see from most tables. The menu has a lot of variety of rolls, sashimi, and some ramen options. Our table shared a Philly roll and ma-se bite (pressed spicy tuna on rice). The sushi was delicious and felt like great quality. It is their specialty after all. A couple people got tonkotsu ramen with pork belly and enjoyed it. They said their broth was rich and tasty with nice noodles. I ordered the shoyu ramen which listed ground chicken but I was served sliced chicken breast. The broth wasn't salty like I expected and was instead on the sweeter side. I added chili oil to it which I think just made it into a spicy water instead. The chicken pieces were not something I want again. The texture was so strange and almost fatty feeling if that's possible. I would try something else next time.

Wow. We really wanted to like this place. We came in with high, high hopes!! We ordered the Cucumber with Kimchi sauce, Miso Citrus Wings, TomKha Ramen and Spicy Mala Ramen. We enjoyed the apps. The cucumbers were crisp and refreshing. You couldn't even taste the kimchi nor was there any heat to it. The Miso Citrus Wings were packed with flavor and spice. The smell opens up your airway but this top didn't have heat. It was served very hot but not spicy at all. The TomKha Ramen was good the first few bites in, but then just like the black garlic Ramen, the taste became too rich and my stomach was not liking it. I also don't recommend adding chicken. I don't know what it was but for me, it made the flavor worse. It was odd because I love Tom Kha soup which is why I ventured to try this particular ramen. I will give it another shot but with no protein. My husband said the Spicy Mala Ramen was good but had an after taste due to the black peppercorn. That after taste kind of liked it for him. Service was really slow but so was the restaurant. It took awhile for our ramens to come out. We were completely done with our apps for at least 15 mins. We had to ask for water refills even though they had been sitting almost empty through half of our meal. And the food was a bit on the pricey side for what we got. Not sure if we'd come again but being as there isn't much ramen places in this area we may...

We stopped at Ma-Se for sushi on New Year's Eve for a quick dinner. The interior is a small dining area so tables can fill up quickly. Service was fast and the food was high quality. There is also a small happy hour menu Tuesday-Sunday 4:30-6pm which is nice. We will visit again!

Bayridge Sushi is one of my local favorite sushi spots to visit!…read more I typically venture to the Longwood location. As it is the closest location to Casselberry. Having been on a handful of occasions, each visit, I am left quite satisfied and happy with not only the service provided, but just the general quality of the food. The restaurant is very beautiful inside - which is a lovely surprise because the exterior is very unassuming. It is infused with cultural decor that leaves you feeling like you have been transported to Japan! So, kudos to the designers!! Now, prior to diving into the food and drinks, I just quickly want to note, there is ample seating indoors. Even with the exterior being so unassuming, it is a quite spacious restaurant. They have banquet seating as well as booth seating. But I digress. Time for the FOOD REVIEW!! Now, the food here, or rather, the sushi, is just DELISH!! I will admit, I haven't tried other dishes from their menu beyond their sushi. Speaking of, the MENU here is MASSIVE! If you don't want sushi, you can definitely order other entrees as they offer bento boxes, bowls, and various other dishes. The price points are great and they also have lunch specials. As for the sushi options I typically indulge in, I stick with the tempura shrimp options. Sometimes I do their speciality rolls and other times I will indulge in their staple rolls. Even though I don't eat a ton of raw sushi (still training my palette for it), I have enjoyed the few raw sushi rolls I have tried. The drinks are also super tasty! My first visit, many months ago, I got their Thai Tea. I also got a matcha!! Both were lovely!! They have a really good non-alcoholic and alcoholic drink menu. Again, the pricing is reasonable pending what you order. The desserts here are BEYOND GOOD! On my most recent visit, I tried their green tea tiramisu and it was really good. Not too sweet and not too earthy (even though I am not opposed to earthy). All in all, I always have a top notch experience here! The staff are great and attentive. There's a decent amount of parking and wait times are usually not super long - even during their peak hours. If you have visited this restaurant, please do!

But it's there, overlooking the lake, waiting to offer you delicious sushi. The staff are always very nice, helpful, and patient as you look through the menu. With a huge selection of fish and veggie combinations, the menu has something for everyone. (I'm sorry I don't have a menu picture for reference!) The ingredients are always fresh and the rolls are made in house, to order. I have never had a bad roll - or a bad meal. While the seating can be cramped with a full house, the views make up for that easily. If you manage to get a seat in the back, you can look out over the lake (which absolutely has gators because I saw one on my last afternoon visit.) There are booths, tables, and a large sushi bar - again, something for everyone! I highly recommend checking this spot out if you are a sushi lover like me. Unfortunately, one customer service policy completely ruined what could have been a perfect dinner. We got there just before the dinner rush, so we expected a wait. My husband and I both worked in the restaurant industry for years. We know what it's like when the kitchen gets slammed, and we had absolutely no problem being patient. About 30 minutes later, our food came out, but we were missing two pieces of octopus sushi and the freshly ground wasabi we paid extra for. We told the food runner right away. We didn't think it was a big deal. These types of mistakes happen all the time at restaurants. About 10 minutes later, the wasabi showed up, but still no octopus. We asked again and were told it was coming. Another 15 minutes went by. We were really enjoying everything else, so we figured we'd order another roll while we waited. Over the next 20 minutes, several employees stopped by our table to ask how everything was, and every single time we mentioned we were still waiting on part of our order. That's when one of the servers explained that the missing octopus had gone to the back of the sushi line and we'd have to wait our turn because that was their policy. I'm sorry... what? This wasn't something we decided to add later. It was part of our original order that never made it to the table. A mistake should never go to the back of the line. The part that really didn't make sense was that the second roll (the one we ordered 25 minutes later) came out BEFORE the missing octopus. So if everything is truly made in the order it's received, how did that happen? After working in restaurants for so many years, I can honestly say I've never seen a place handle a missed item this way. If part of an order gets forgotten, you make it immediately and complete the table's meal. You don't tell the customer to keep waiting while every new order gets made first. At that point, we didn't even care about the octopus anymore. It was the principle of it. Instead of simply fixing the mistake, we were expected to accept it, and when we questioned it, we were basically told, "That's our policy." Maybe the waitress forgot to ring it in. Maybe management really does expect forgotten items to go to the back of the line. I honestly don't know which is true, but neither one is a great answer. It's such a shame because the food really was excellent. We walked in excited to find a new favorite sushi restaurant. We walked out disappointed, not because of the missing octopus, but because of how the situation was handled.

Only like 3 diners were there when we arrived (it was mid afternoon), so lots of open seating. We were able to sit at the bar. Greeted right way. Will say they have a very extensive menu. Decent selection of sushi & other types of dishes. Our server was pleasant. We started with their daily deal which was Crispy Tuna and edamame as well. Came out pretty quickly after we ordered. The Crispy Tuna was served not as we expected. It was more rice cakes (pancake style shape if you will) not what we are accustomed to which generally is a Square Musubi Press. They were good, but would have preferred them the way we generally order it. Edamame was tasty, but hard to mess that up. Rolls: they are pretty small to be honest and squeezed so tightly (with not enough of outer rice) they sat up high and didn't take on the plump desirable shape. When a sushi roll (maki) is rolled and pressed incorrectly with a bamboo mat, the cylindrical shape gets squished and inevitably turns into a aesthetic effect that looks off, which in my opinion shows here. Plus, very thinly sliced rolls. 4 rolls we ordered: Naruto Roll, it was refreshing & liked the cucumber in place of the seaweed wrap. Beauty & Beast Roll, came together well with the black tobiko & masago. Waterfall Roll was good, but would have liked some more heat (heaver on the jalapeños) and finally the Black Pearl Roll which was decent with the black tobiko on top! Throughout of dining experience the sushi chefs were preparing other dishes on the menu to fill orders, but also pleasant & engaging as we watched them make our orders and those others too. Leo and Micah were friendly, not so much the only female employee. She gave off some negative vibes. Never said a word to us & acted like we were not even there! Believe her role may have been in the kitchen, but she was out on the floor (for most of our time there) talking to Leo primarily. Kitchen cleanliness is key and by looking thru the open space (to the backs of sushi chefs) she really needed to focus more of her attention there instead of projecting conversations out front to the busy staff. Meaning that sanitation and environmental hygiene is a mandatory practice that needs constant attention & customers may observe or question those things when not tending to the task. I'm addressing this in the most important and nicest way possible! Everything we ordered was fresh and tasty. Not the best sushi restaurant we've been to, but definitely sufficed for our craving. Ended our meal with their fried ice cream which was delicious. Note- Do not believe they have any happy hour specials. No Kizami Wasabi available here. They feature a few lower costs options for lunch. Additionally, they have hibachi, teriyaki and ramen also!

Before the night started they give you a little cup filled with cooked corn kernels. If you know the super crunchy kernels at the bottom of popcorn bags, now imagine a cup of them! We also got some drinks, couple of cocktails and couple of glasses of wine, they weren't incredible but they were solid. The pour was very nice. For appetizers we got the croquettes and a side of tostones (fried plantains). The croquettes were awesome, crispy on the outside, crabcake like on the inside and the sauce was great! The tostones were really fresh and not oily at all. They were served with a cilantro sauce that was fantastic. For dinner we typically get two dishes we want and share them. My wife ordered one of the risotto dishes and I got the Tay Pa. The risotto was really good and creamy with shrimp and I think prongs. The Tay Pa stole the show. Imagine a large square iron dish with a mound of steak, chicken, shrimp, and pork belly with a bunch of vegetables like sprouts, onions, bell peppers, and garlic. The dish was super fresh with a very mild sauce but what made is awesome was that every single thing was cooked to it's own perfect level. Four kinds of meat all cooked perfectly, multiple kinds of veggies all cooked perfectly the rice was kinda basic but it didn't matter! For our anniversary they also gave us a complimentary caramel cheesecake that was also really good and let us taste their house cinnamon pisco...Fire! in a good way! During dinner, they also had a photographer walking around and taking pictures that are then printed and put in a nice case. Overall it was an amazing first experience and made our celebration that much better. We'll definitely be back!

Do not be fooled.. ceviche is a filling dish! My friend and I had been eying this restaurant for…read morequite some time and finally decided to check it out. The service was excellent, all the dishes were perfectly described and suggestions were made. We decided that we were going to try different appetizers based off the recommendations from our server. We obviously started with the ceviche. We opted for the El Trio so that we could try all 3 kinds of ceviche which came with tostones. My favorite was the ceviche de aji Amarillo. It was tasty, had octopus, shrimp and calamari. As mentioned, ceviche is quite filling and will creep up on you. Our second appetizer was the croquetas de aji de gallina and those were yummy as well. It's basically a cheese bread. We finished with the empanadas de lomo saltado which was served with a side of garlic aioli. I also ordered a pisco sour and loved it. My overall experience was great!
