I was blown away by this restuarant! Where do I even begin?? The sushi was delicious, especially the surf&turf roll! The waygu was seared and smoky and the sushi rice was soft and fluffy. Thai style gyoza was so so yummy and not something you see on many menus. I also ordered a sweet green tea and it came in a pitcher so plenty of refills. I will definitely be back soon!

The ambiance and decor of this little local sushi restaurant is so cool! All of the fish was super fresh and I liked the toppings the chef put on the nigiri to create good flavor combinations. The aburi salmon don was okay, but I would definitely recommend the nigiri! The service was nice and friendly.

I am happy I have this place a try for lunch. As I entered here I immediately love the nostalgic decor. It was pretty homey. The staff was friendly and came over to take our drinks orders. The menu has a lot of items that I would love to try. This visit though I focused on the lunch menu. I ordered the two suhi rolls that came with a salad. I also ordered rhe spring rolls. My two rolls of choice were the California roll and the baked salmon roll. Both were fresh and tasted delicious. I enjoyed the eel sauce and the spicy mayo on the roll. It was enough to for me to dip my second roll. The spring rolls were good with the dipping sauce. I can't wait to go back and give it a try.

When I tell you that you NEED to visit this spot... I'm telling you that you NEEEED to visit. We've been here quite a few times and last night my husband had a little date night and absolutely loved what we got! I have never had their ramen here and opted for their pork tonkotsu ramen and omg it was perfection. I would get this over and over again and they do NOT skimp on their noodles. My husband got a rice bowl (Nachos Don) with tuna, Masago, tempura flakes...it was just SOOO tasty. It was hoppin' on a Friday night so definitely make reservations.

We just found a hidden gem for sushi! It's a very small spot, so service can take a little time when it's busy (we went on a Friday night), but making a reservation is a must -- we were seated right on time and it was perfect. The sushi is fresh and delicious, and the roasted garlic edamame... OMG, words can't even describe. We ended up ordering two extra servings! The sashimi is unbelievably fresh, buttery, and just melts in your mouth. The place is cute and quaint, but honestly, the food speaks for itself. Definitely adding this spot to our rotation -- can't wait to go back!

I came here a while back with my family. The place is welcoming yet small. The food was good, nothing to go running back for. I felt that our experience could've been better. Servers nowadays just take orders and get what you need, but they don't go out of their way to make sure customers get an amazing experience that makes them wanna come back.

I came here with three other people to try out this new-to-us restaurant. The space was smaller than expected with a few tables and a kitchen you can sort of see from most tables. The menu has a lot of variety of rolls, sashimi, and some ramen options. Our table shared a Philly roll and ma-se bite (pressed spicy tuna on rice). The sushi was delicious and felt like great quality. It is their specialty after all. A couple people got tonkotsu ramen with pork belly and enjoyed it. They said their broth was rich and tasty with nice noodles. I ordered the shoyu ramen which listed ground chicken but I was served sliced chicken breast. The broth wasn't salty like I expected and was instead on the sweeter side. I added chili oil to it which I think just made it into a spicy water instead. The chicken pieces were not something I want again. The texture was so strange and almost fatty feeling if that's possible. I would try something else next time.

We stopped at Ma-Se for sushi on New Year's Eve for a quick dinner. The interior is a small dining area so tables can fill up quickly. Service was fast and the food was high quality. There is also a small happy hour menu Tuesday-Sunday 4:30-6pm which is nice. We will visit again!

Wow. We really wanted to like this place. We came in with high, high hopes!! We ordered the Cucumber with Kimchi sauce, Miso Citrus Wings, TomKha Ramen and Spicy Mala Ramen. We enjoyed the apps. The cucumbers were crisp and refreshing. You couldn't even taste the kimchi nor was there any heat to it. The Miso Citrus Wings were packed with flavor and spice. The smell opens up your airway but this top didn't have heat. It was served very hot but not spicy at all. The TomKha Ramen was good the first few bites in, but then just like the black garlic Ramen, the taste became too rich and my stomach was not liking it. I also don't recommend adding chicken. I don't know what it was but for me, it made the flavor worse. It was odd because I love Tom Kha soup which is why I ventured to try this particular ramen. I will give it another shot but with no protein. My husband said the Spicy Mala Ramen was good but had an after taste due to the black peppercorn. That after taste kind of liked it for him. Service was really slow but so was the restaurant. It took awhile for our ramens to come out. We were completely done with our apps for at least 15 mins. We had to ask for water refills even though they had been sitting almost empty through half of our meal. And the food was a bit on the pricey side for what we got. Not sure if we'd come again but being as there isn't much ramen places in this area we may...

Special chef nigiri preparations.

Posting this after having eaten there two dozen times. I can't say enough about the quality and care they put into their food. You really must have the nigiri special plate from the chef, but they have options at nearly price. I've had $18 meals here and I just left a $70 one for just me and it's all perfect and worth it. I'm posting as I do rarely as I think they deserve all the attention.

What an awesome spot! We stopped in for a quick lunch and they have a tasty little lunch special menu that features lots of options for a really affordable lunch of high quality tastiness like Bento boxes, sushi and hot plates from $12-20. They also have a large regular menu. On the left is sushi lunch special Shrimp tempura roll with spicy tuna roll. Had salad for app (not in photo). On the right is stir fried garlic udon noodles with shrimp lunch special (miso soup app not in photo). So yummy!! Will be back!!

Similarly, the pac-man roll perfectly balanced the sweet and savory flavors and I loved the addition of the cream cheese to this roll. Lastly, the volcano roll had more perfectly cooked shrimp tempura (I normally don't eat the ends but it was fried the best way possible) and balanced flavors. We stopped by and found it to be a nice little spot with good value and a welcoming vibe. The truffle fries arrived looking impressive with a crispy exterior, but fell short on flavor. They tasted more like premium fries than truffle fries, which was a letdown given what we were expecting. That said, they're still a solid appetizer if you're hungry. The real draw here is the happy hour. Three sushi rolls for around $18 is a pretty solid deal, and we appreciated that the happy hour menu keeps things simple with rolls featuring just one or two ingredients. Nothing fancy, but executed well. The sushi itself was good, fresh, and satisfying without being exceptional. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service was not noticeable (which sometimes is a very good thing), making it an easy place to grab dinner with friends. Would I make a special trip? Probably not. But if a friend wanted to meet up nearby or I was already in the area, I'd definitely return.

Everyone received their starters, the blonde waitress asked if I wanted one as well. When I said yes, she responded with "bro, it's not going to be free," which made the interaction very awkward for everyone at the table since I never even asked for the starter in the first place and was just very unprofessional. Later, one of my friends received shrimp tempura that was translucent, raw, and slimy in the middle. When we politely mentioned it, both the waitress and host repeatedly questioned whether we were sure it was raw. At one point the waitress even asked something along the lines of "so do you want this for free or something?" which felt accusatory and uncomfortable. We're familiar with tempura/sushi dishes in general and understand that something can be fried on the outside but still undercooked inside. The repeated doubt came across as dismissive and a bit condescending. She also said she would "pray" for one of my friends which was a very strange and off-putting comment in that situation. It just felt like she was doubting us and in general it made us feel bad for even bringing it up in the first place. The item did end up being comped, which we appreciated, but that didn't change the interaction we had or the comments that were made. We weren't there trying to get free items, so the assumptions and tone from our server made the whole situation feel uncomfortable and strange. Overall, we did enjoy the food, but the service made the dinner uncomfortable and left us feeling judged rather than welcomed. Since I've had good experiences here in the past, I hope this feedback is taken constructively so future guests have a better experience.

I was thrilled that I made the choice to visit this restaurant for the first time. I was warmly greeted and seated right away. In fact, I entered right after opening time. My server was kind and unobtrusive. I perused the menu and she brought water while I was making my decisions. I opted for my standard, reliable choice of fried gyoza. There wasn't anything too extraordinary about this dish, but I was happy that the gyoza didn't taste stale. What really struck me was the delicious, nicely presented, tasty combination of flavors that I found in the Drama Queen roll. This roll contains spicy tuna, avocado, tempura flakes, yellowtail, jalepeno, black tobiko and spicy kimchee sauce. It was so delicious. And fresh! Way to go, Boku! I also ordered a Shrimp Tempura roll that contained avocado, butter lettuce, shrimp tempura, eel sauce and masago. I don't think I've had makimono with lettuce, but I was pleasantly surprised at the taste and texture. The interior seemed modern and had varying tones of gray. There's also a patio and you'll find a selection of beers and wine, including sake.

Only like 3 diners were there when we arrived (it was mid afternoon), so lots of open seating. We were able to sit at the bar. Greeted right way. Will say they have a very extensive menu. Decent selection of sushi & other types of dishes. Our server was pleasant. We started with their daily deal which was Crispy Tuna and edamame as well. Came out pretty quickly after we ordered. The Crispy Tuna was served not as we expected. It was more rice cakes (pancake style shape if you will) not what we are accustomed to which generally is a Square Musubi Press. They were good, but would have preferred them the way we generally order it. Edamame was tasty, but hard to mess that up. Rolls: they are pretty small to be honest and squeezed so tightly (with not enough of outer rice) they sat up high and didn't take on the plump desirable shape. When a sushi roll (maki) is rolled and pressed incorrectly with a bamboo mat, the cylindrical shape gets squished and inevitably turns into a aesthetic effect that looks off, which in my opinion shows here. Plus, very thinly sliced rolls. 4 rolls we ordered: Naruto Roll, it was refreshing & liked the cucumber in place of the seaweed wrap. Beauty & Beast Roll, came together well with the black tobiko & masago. Waterfall Roll was good, but would have liked some more heat (heaver on the jalapeños) and finally the Black Pearl Roll which was decent with the black tobiko on top! Throughout of dining experience the sushi chefs were preparing other dishes on the menu to fill orders, but also pleasant & engaging as we watched them make our orders and those others too. Leo and Micah were friendly, not so much the only female employee. She gave off some negative vibes. Never said a word to us & acted like we were not even there! Believe her role may have been in the kitchen, but she was out on the floor (for most of our time there) talking to Leo primarily. Kitchen cleanliness is key and by looking thru the open space (to the backs of sushi chefs) she really needed to focus more of her attention there instead of projecting conversations out front to the busy staff. Meaning that sanitation and environmental hygiene is a mandatory practice that needs constant attention & customers may observe or question those things when not tending to the task. I'm addressing this in the most important and nicest way possible! Everything we ordered was fresh and tasty. Not the best sushi restaurant we've been to, but definitely sufficed for our craving. Ended our meal with their fried ice cream which was delicious. Note- Do not believe they have any happy hour specials. No Kizami Wasabi available here. They feature a few lower costs options for lunch. Additionally, they have hibachi, teriyaki and ramen also!

Service was wonderful, our server was friendly and answered all of our silly questions and didn't laugh at us when we butchered the words of the ingredients in dishes. She checked on us often and provided suggestions to make sure we got plates we would enjoy. The cocktail menu.....wow! It was so beautiful visually and the drinks came out looking just like the photos! They tasted great too! It's apparent that time and care went into every decision on this menu. As for food, we started with the croquettes. They came four to an order and it was the perfect amount of food to hold us over until our entrees came. Our entrees came out and we were both surprised by the portions! I got the Chaufa Charapa and it came in a beautiful stone bowl. The portion was huge, it just kept going and going! This visit was no exception -- the food was genuinely excellent. That said, the business model is starting to feel aggressive. Every interaction is an upsell opportunity, and you quickly realize you're on high alert the entire meal, almost battling the server at every turn just to avoid quietly running up the bill. It starts the moment you sit down: "Is bottled water okay?" -- which, of course, is an upcharge. When we ordered Pisco Sours, instead of just bringing the standard version, the server recommended the Peruvian one, about $5 more. For starters, my wife wanted a chicken dish, but the server suggested a beef dish, mentioning it could be made with chicken instead. The catch: there was no price reduction for swapping to chicken, leaving us paying $12 more than the original chicken dish would have cost. I had the Lomo Saltado, which was fantastic, and asked for fries instead of the yellow potatoes. I don't mind an upcharge -- but it would have been nice to be told upfront. A simple "there's a small upcharge for that" would have been fine. They also take photos of you at the table, which is pleasant enough on its own, but by then you're conditioned to wonder what it's going to cost. When the check arrived, an 18% gratuity had already been added, with the option to tip more on top. We declined to add extra. The food really is excellent, and we may go back for that reason alone. But be prepared to stay on your toes -- every choice seems designed to nudge the bill higher, and you'll spend the meal defending your wallet rather than relaxing into it.
