The repeated doubt came across as dismissive and a bit condescending. She also said she would "pray" for one of my friends which was a very strange and off-putting comment in that situation. It just felt like she was doubting us and in general it made us feel bad for even bringing it up in the first place. The item did end up being comped, which we appreciated, but that didn't change the interaction we had or the comments that were made. We weren't there trying to get free items, so the assumptions and tone from our server made the whole situation feel uncomfortable and strange.
