Santa's Cookies and Coffee Flight
Meghan B.

I have been here a few times for breakfast, but never for dinner! My friend recommended going after she saw them advertising fun holiday cocktails! We went right after work this past Friday since they didn't have reservations. When we arrived around 3:45 there were a few tables but mostly empty! By the time we left around 8:00 was soooo busy, and had been like that the last few hours! So I recommend if you do go, especially during the holidays go early or plan to wait! That said, it is worth some waiting! Aesthetically, it is a Christmas dream, cozy decor, holiday music, and a fun holiday menu! Having a beef/pork allergy, I opted for the All Day Breakfast Menu and had an incredible slice of quiche, full of flavor, (onions, spinach and mozzarella) especially the caramelized onions!!! I chose fresh fruit as my side! My friend went with a delicious burger and fries! We each chose holiday cocktails, mine was the Mistletoe Margarita! After dinner and chatting we both had our favorite dessert, a slice of their wedding cake. We both agree this is the best dessert around. The cake is moist the frosting is superb with a hint of almond. We also shared the Santa's Cookies and Coffee Flight! Snickerdoodle, Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Cookie Sugar Cookie! 2 people can perfectly share this! Our evening was topped off when the Grinch popped in to say hello! There were a lot of couples, families, a lot of kids in their cozy Christmas pajamas, a great place anytime of the year, but especially during the holidays!

We just went to Sarah's so we could get the Oktoberfest Bloody Mary! It was amazing, that's for sure! My dad got the "mayor" bloody Mary which was equally incredible. These bloody Mary's are huge and basically count as a meal. There was so much food and such a large serving of the drink that I was stuffed afterwards. My husband got the breakfast burrito which he said was tasty but a little small, and we got the chocolate chip pancakes for our daughter which she loved! When we got there they said it would be about a 45 minute wait, but it ended up only being 15! The staff was great and very attentive. Service was quick for how busy they were. Can't wait to come back and try another one of their seasonal drinks!

I've gotten Sarah's on Central catered twice now for Super Bowl. They are easy to work with and I love it!

Everything was great at this cute place. Especially the food! We could tell that everything was made fresh, by hand and with care. If we are back in the area I will definitely be a returning customer!

Food: 5 Stars Service: 5 Stars We happened to be in the area and needed a place to stop for a bite to eat. Found that Sarah's was open and thought we'd give it a go. Looking at the signage, I felt I had seen their logo elsewhere around St. Louis but didn't make the connection until I got home. Sarah's on Central is the sister restaurant of Sarah's Cake Shop which is located in Chesterfield (5 minutes from my house). Knowing very well how delicious the baked goods are at the cake shop, it's no wonder the food and baked goods at the restaurant were just as divine! Sarah's on Central is located in the heart of Eureka's historic Central Ave. This modest space has plenty of room for small or large groups with seating on the main floor and bar. Staff was incredibly kind and greeted us with warm smiles. Our server promptly took our drink orders and reviewed the day's menu. Y'all, the food did not disappoint! The salmon BLT was flakey and juicy... but what really made the sandwich was their red pepper aioli that was drizzled over it. I asked for an extra side of the sauce to dip my fries in. :) We kept eyeing the case with all the sweet treats, and ended up walking away with $50 worth of baked goods we really didn't need... (But it's the holidays, do calories even count?) Please give them a visit and be sure to save a little bit of room for a sweet treat. I promise you won't regret it!

We walked in and our waitperson immediately seated the 4 of us. She took our drink orders. 2 of us got the mimosa flights and 1 got a Dena Bloody Mary. Oh my gosh -- everyone one of us was happy. We had southwest egg rolls for our starters. Surprisingly best I've ever eaten. Sausage gravy, biscuits, and over easy eggs were down-home delicious. Sarah's garlic club sandwich (with no bread) and Cesar Salad was ordered and she loved it. The breakfast BLT and fries was ordered by the other and he ate every bite. We ordered dessert to go which was the gooey butter cake and blueberry lemon cake. Let me assure you ... if you can't fit in your tummy the take it home. It's magical. We're looking forward to the cinnamon rolls for breakfast. There was nothing that wasn't fantastic. We will definitely return. You should go, too.

The famous pumpkin salad. (What I'm calling it). She put half the salad in the take-home container and still had a plate full.

After having a charming 40 minute mini train ride on the Wabash Frisco and Pacific line this past Saturday (that's another review for another day, but sneak peek it was fun) my friends and I were or course. hungry. So we went to nearby Eureka for a bite to eat. There were alot of great choices for cute and charming restaurants on Central Street, but we decided on Sarah's on Central. The interior was a upscale neighborhood bar and grill, (like your local bar decided to get bougie), rustic with license plates from different states, eclectic art, and road signs placed properly on the wall. It was inviting, tastefully placed, and eye catching. Our server was friendly, seated us immediately, and introduced herself. We were given three menus, the food menu, the drink menu, and a special menu that offers seasonal items. My friend ordered the Thai Chicken salad which included fried wontons, grilled chicken edamame, red peppers and other veggies on Romaine and iceburg lettuce. My other friend a seasonal salad (abset minded me, I can't remember the name. I am at that age) that had pumpkin apples, pecans, bacon bits and roasted chicken on a bed of Romaine lettuce. I ordered the shrimp scampi dip ( I wasnt feeling any salad or healthy food, I was hungry!) We were happily surprised and amazed how fresh the salads were. I mean it was like the lettuce and the veggies pluck themselves out the garden, cut their selves up and plot themselves on the plate. Yes that fresh! Everyone's portion was large: so muchbmy friend who order the pumpkin salad (that's what I am calling it and I'm standing by on it) asked for a to go container before she started eating it. My shrimp scampi dip was delicious; it had so many shrimp and not the tiny ones you put on salads, but the bbq grilled size kind! The three cheese that shrimp was drowned in was so good, that I could have it by itself! But that's not all! Since Sarah is know for its craft cocktails, you know we had to see for ourselves! I first ordered a old fashioned which was decent. But my next drink which I should order first was the salted carmel martini! Mmmm! And it came with a mini salted carmel cupcake! Topping on the cake! (pun intended) . My friend ordered a French 75 (in tribute to Leonardo Dicaprio's newest movie). She said it very tasty! My friend with the pumpkin salad ordered a pumpkin cocktail in a cute mug topped with whipped cream and pumpkin spice. (Why can I remember the names of her food and drink?) She said it the spot and fulfilled her seasonal craving for pumpkin spice! Sarah's on Central is also known for their baked goods, so I ordered a gluten free brownie with double chocolate. The brownie was bigger as my hand and omg, it was rich and delectable!! It satisfied my always chocolate withdrawals! All in all( Why we say "all and all" , why can't it be just "all") Sarah's on Central was an excellent choice for our lunch! We able to "chewchew" all our food, lol! (Going with the train theme here).

What a great, quaint restaurant. Tables fill up quick but also turn over pretty quickly. They offer a wide variety of food and drink specials, including their massive bloody mary and coffee flights. This is definitely a fun place to try something new! Food is good. The quiche and the bread pudding french toast were delicious! Parking is a bit difficult as the street gets busy and people are everywhere. Backing out can be tough!

How did we not find Sarahs sooner?! My girlfriend and I are always taking about wishing we had a place to go that offered ridiculous Bloody Mary's, that have everything in them including the kitchen sink. Sarahs is definitely our spot now for a good Bloody anytime we want one. We were drawn here by a social media post, that showed the "Oktoberfest Mary" such as their special for the month. Pictures didn't do it justice, as it was absolutely massive. A meal in itself, and absolutely delicious! I really didn't need the monte christo sandwich I ordered on top of it, but it was delicious as well. The space is SO super cute. The service is great. I also love all the baked goods they offer. We took home a piece of Gooey butter cake that was fantastic. We will absolutely come back to Sarahs! I wish it were closer.

Very helpful and friendly service with delicious sweet potato fries, spiced brown sugar latte (yum) and a churro ball/cake pop! Definitely need to come back to try the endless menu!

Staff is a little incongruous with the sweet atmosphere. Some focus here would really shift the vibe and improve this gem of a spot.

Walking in, there was a board with seasonal specials (food and drink), as well as a joke. The decor was beautiful, such a great vibe. A gentleman greeted me and sat me on the less busy side of the restaurant. Then he noticed I was wearing a dress and quickly offered to seat me on the other side, where it was warmer. But I declined and sat on the left side with the bakery case. There was one other occupied table on my side, but it was a large group. My server, Melanie ( great name, BTW), immediately greeted me and asked me what I'd like to drink. I asked for a glass of water, and the Snickers coffee. Ended up choosing the breakfast tacos, and the order of candied bacon. The bacon was the most delicious thing I've put in my face hole. Sweet and spicy and salty and crunchy and chewy. Melanie laughed when I commented on it so glowingly. She also offered up that they've got a bacon cheeseburger with this bacon on it, and waffles as the buns. My tacos came out a little after the bacon, which was perfect. They were much heftier than I expected. I was only able to finish one, and brought the other two home. Also delicious. Chorizo, scrambled eggs, toppings, sour cream, and salsa. NOM. I'm not much for sweets, but couldn't help passing by the bakery case, because everything looked so good. This is a wonderful place. Excellent service from start to finish, reasonable prices, and cool decor. I've definitely got to come back again, bring my kids, and try more of the menu.

The menu given was very limited and did not match what we saw on their website, which convinced us to try it. We should have left. My wife had a decent veggie pasta, but couldn't eat it because the pesto sauce was way too heavy to enjoy. She ate half. My boneless chicken wings (nugget bites!) were burnt and not tasty. Ate half because we were hungry. Our appetizer of spinach/cheese dip was served with pita bread that was so chewy you could not bite through it, and the dip quickly congealed so thick that you couldn't spoon it out of the dish. $60+ for food we couldn't eat while sitting in a broken uncomfortable seat. My aunt came to town and was staying at the KOA in Eureka so we drove out to Eureka for dinner. Wow…read morewere we impressed by the food!! We started with the boudin balls appetizer. It is really hard to find boudin balls on menus outside of Louisiana so we had to try them. Wow! So good! They come in a plate of 4 with template and brown mustard to dip. We found out that they make them in house, and apparently will make boudin empanadas from time to time, def want to come back to try those! I ordered the Queban Po Boy with a side of Mac n cheese. The sandwich had beautiful smoked hame and bbq pulled pork with pickles-- really tasty. I only ate half of it and saved the second half for lunch. The Mac n cheese is a tasty white sauce with shells and I nearly licked the bowl clean. My husband ordered the smoked half chicken with BBQ beans and the red beans and rice. The red beans and rice was easily the best I have had. Perfectly seasoned with every bite. The smoked chicken was good and not dry, a VERY common mistake for smoked chicken. Kids menu includes Mac n cheese, chicken bites, burger slider, and one other. All come with seasoned crinkle fries. My girls loved the Mac n cheese and the French fries. My aunt and uncle both got the brisket platter and really enjoyed their food as well. They spoke highly of the brisket and the cole slaw. The pit master came and spoke with us which was really cool! We learned that his mentor is a competition gumbo champion in Louisiana so his menu reflects the down home Louisiana wonderfulness!
