Favorite brunch spot after a walk through Central Park. Never disappoints. French toast is my go to!

Fat & Fluffy French Toast, Applewood Smoked Bacon, toast

The French toast was fluffy and had a great flavor. The strawberries were fresh and a great addition. The applewood smoked bacon had good flavor as well. The toast was OK. The service was a little flighty and it wasn't crowded at all so we didn't really understand why we had to wait so long for our drinks and food. However, the restaurant itself is cute. The ambience is welcoming and they had a beautiful flower wall at the entrance for a great photo opp

Recently, three of us went to Sarahbeth's for an impromptu lunch. My cousin and her friend were visiting from out of town, and I wanted us to go somewhere special. Since I just gave them a tour of the surrounding area - emphasis on Central Park South in the spring, woohooo - I suggested that we see if they could squeeze us in at Sarabeth's. We didn't have a reservation, but I thought that it didn't hurt to ask. We went in and waited for a table...they sat us in about half an hour. Everyone there was warm and welcoming, though our server, Sarah, was the warmest. (She has an appropriate name for her workplace, too, so extra points for that. LOL) Even on a busy Saturday afternoon, the vibe there was laid back. Somehow, they're able to preserve an atmosphere of relaxation amidst what's likely their most demanding time (the wild weekend!). With that, the power bowl (check out my photos), was delicious; it gave me just the refill that I needed. (One needs plenty of energy to play NYC tour guide.) Probs the best decision that I made that day was asking for a bottle of olive oil for our table. That way, I added a little extra oil to my bowl, which only served to enhance it! * Go to Sarahbeth's, though perhaps learn from my learning curve and make a resy, namely on the weekend. (Though imho, the wait was so worth it.) Sincere thanks for an excellent dining experience, Sarah and colleagues! Warmly, Katherine/Kat (and guests)

Kind staff! Good food! We visited for dinner with a reservation and it was pretty empty, but the atmosphere was very vibrant and cozy inside. The booth seating was very comfortable and the seating setup was perfect for 4! The staff recommended the perfect wine for our steak/salmon/and tuna. The fries were delicious, with a perfect crunch and crispness! The salmon was also well-cooked and delicious.

This restaurant is so good my family and I went twice a day. If you are staying in the Central Park area and want a good simple meal for an affordable price, Sarabeth's is the place to go. The portion sizes are larger than expected, the service is nice and fast, and the flavor was great!

Somehow our reservation was lost. Even though we were a party of 11, they were able to seat us. There was plenty of room in the back. I hadn't realized how big this location is. We all enjoyed our brunch choices and cocktails; however, the blueberry popover was bland and (even though they are famous for their jams/preserves) we had to request some.

This Sara Beth's location is BUSY for brunch, with tourists and locals alike. This location is a great place to meet for brunch and then a stroll in Central Park. My friend made our reservation for 1PM and the place was jammed packed. We were seated in about ten to fifteen minutes and that was pretty good under the circumstances. They try to get as many people in there with closely spaced tables. Careful not to brush up on people or have your coat and scarf drag across food and glassware as you navigate your way to your table. What is remarkable is the place quiets down and the crowds were gone by 3-3:30PM. You should have the seat of your choice by 4PM. Our server, Eduardo, made his way to our table as quickly as he could manage, but we were still not ready. When he returned, both of us ordered the popular Salmon Eggs Benedict. It comes with a salad, but it does not come with a choice of scone or muffin as the menu suggests. Only some of the egg and omelette dishes down the center of the menu come with the scone or muffin as seen above. This needs to be clarified on the menu if management is paying attention. Not a big thing, but Sarabeth's has been in business too long with too many locations for this confusion to be on the menu. There is a reason the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict is popular. It's plain good. There is a side salad of mesclun greens with a light and barely detectable dressing. This dish is aimed squarely at those watching their calories and, if this is you, this is your dish. The light dressing will dovetail nicely with your dietary desires, as will the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict. Here we have two English muffins or muffin halves with smoked salmon layered on top, which is under a perfectly poached egg on each muffin, which in turn is draped with a delicious Hollandaise sauce. This is comfort food breakfast and slicing the poached egg lets the yolk run over over the salmon and muffin, eventually into the Hollandaise sauce already on your plate. The smoked salmon and egg yolk collide on your plate blissfully with the Hollandaise. Whatever yolk and Hollandaise remains on your plate is easily paired with the very light dressing by dragging your salad greens across your plate. A glass of tap water and a pot of English Breakfast tea with lemon and honey were the perfect accompaniments to this English or Irish style breakfast. A man like me likes a bit more stick to your ribs fare at the rate of $29 for the dish, which will be reflected in the slight downward adjustment of my rating. However, I can well imagine this makes for the perfect brunch for many people. I tried to order the Chicken Pot Pie to go, which I understand is also quite popular and very filling, but that is only served Monday through Friday. Service was okay and brunch service was as good as it might be on a busy Sunday. The menu leans a bit more cute than robust in terms of generous servings for brunch. Perhaps the Farmer's Omelette is the one for a healthy appetite. 3.3 stars

Discovered Sarabeth's restaurant after a run in Central Park and was looking for a brunch spot. It is located close to Central Park. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner offerings, but was visiting specifically to try their world-renowned brunch and an unforgettable culinary experience. The menu highlights classic American cuisine, crafted from the freshest locally sourced ingredients, and a full bar serving an extensive selection of wines, craft beers, and inventive cocktails. We were acknowledged quickly by the host and seated in the dining area quickly without a reservation or long wait. The decor was very French country with lots of plants. I really liked the upscale ambiance of the restaurant. I started my meal with a peach Bellini that was very refreshing and had the perfect blend of peach flavor and Champagne. I was craving brunch food but I appreciated that the restaurant had both brunch and lunch items on the menu. For my entree, I ordered the wild mushroom scramble with popover that was served with local greens. The eggs were scrambled with boursin cheese, truffle oil, chives and was a generous portion size. My friend ordered the power bowl with shredded kale, quinoa, pistachios, apples, beets, goat cheese, sherry shallot vinaigrette with salmon as the protein. The food was prepared with the freshest ingredients and was very flavorful. We were overall very satisfied with our food selection and the friendly service. Sarabeth's Central Park South location delivers a truly immersive taste of New York City's culinary landscape.

We really enjoy Sarabeth's in large part because you can eat breakfast or brunch until 4pm everyday here! It's also very good! The quiche is fantastic. Eggs are soft and crust is tasty. The ham, potato, leek combo seems weird, but it's perfect! Avocado toast is well done. Don't love that you have to add the egg for $5, but need the protein. The decor is cute and the staff is very friendly. Pretty efficient today as well! Sometimes their muffins are amazing, but today not so much. They served their pumpkin muffin cold and seeming a day old today. Every other muffin we've had here has been warm, fluffy, and delicious. They also have no gluten-free bread options, which is sad. You can get sourdough, which is more gluten-friendly, but still not accommodating an allergy at all. Back to being able to eat breakfast almost all day and it not be diner food: score!

We had a really great experience at Sarabeth's by Central Park. From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming and attentive, and the coat service was a nice touch--especially on a colder day. The restaurant itself is charming, with white tablecloths that give it a classic New York feel. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, and if you sit outside, you get a great view of Central Park since it's right across the street. We were a party of seven, so we were able to try a variety of dishes. I originally ordered the lobster roll, but the waiter came back and apologized that they were out for the day. I ended up going with the steak fries instead, it good--but the real standout of brunch was the pancakes. They were absolutely delicious and easily the highlight of the table. Overall, it was a really enjoyable brunch in a great location, with excellent service and a warm atmosphere. Definitely a spot I'd come back to.

Service was okay - staff were not particularly attentive or friendly. Presentation of the food was excellent but was nothing special for the price. Ambiance was nice, it was very crowded but felt overhyped.

I found Sarabeth by chance on my recent trip to New York with my nephews. It was such a gem and I am so happy we went to have breakfast there. First, I need to compliment the service because it was absolutely divine. Every server that approached us including the host went above and beyond to show kindness. The juices were fresh and we all enjoyed our meal. It was smart to do a reservation especially since we were five people. I got the French toast and it was so savory and the strawberries were fresh and sweet. I cannot wait to try Sarabeth's again. The beautiful thing is that Central Park is right access the way so we walked our breakfast off!

This place came well recommended. Great location right across from Central Park. Without reservations we are seated right away about 10 in the morning on Friday. The interiors well designed and makes you feel very comfortable in at home. It is not a huge menu, but there's a variety for everyone. Plus, you can tailor items to your taste. We both ordered the Farmers omelette . They were both very fluffy and had plenty of Gruyère cheese. my wife ordered her eggs very well done. They were actually still a little running so we had to send them back to be cooked again.. we ordered a side of bacon for $15 and honestly the bacon was nothing special. The four flowers juice was amazing. If you're ordering a cappuccino, make sure you get a double shot because the single shot was not strong enough as it tasted too milky. I had to get someone's attention to get more water. We also quoted quite a while for some of the plates to be cleared. I would expect way better service at a place like this. While I'm glad that we went, between the food and the hundred dollar price tag for breakfast. I don't think I'd go again.

Do they offer complimentary bread, and if so, which meal service (breakfast, lunch, etc..)?

No, unfortunately there was no complimentary bread, at least when I came for breakfast.

    Do we need reservations?

We didn't however we did go on an Monday around 1030am. Weekends may be busier .

    Any gluten free options?

    Limited but available.

    Is the outdoor seating dog-friendly?

Yes, it is!!! The perks of dining in a dog-friendly neighborhood!

Are the sweet breakfast brunch plates bottomless? Or do you only get the one serving?

    Only one serving.

Do they take brunch reservations on weekends?

Yes, it's actually *highly* preferred to make reservations in advance for the weekend (Saturday/Sunday) at this Sarabeth's location, since there's usually an extensive wait for those who show up w/o one (mostly tourists/out of towners), at best…

Egg benedicts are served during weekdays as well?

    Yes

The cocktail menu is very creative - I got one of their seasonal mixes that was actually two drinks in one. The main cocktail was meant to be sipped first and they provided a small glass of beer to be sipped after. The name escapes me but it was very good.
